मोहन सभि जीअ तेरे तू तारहि ॥
O my Enticing Lord, all beings are Yours - You save them.
ਛੁਟਹਿ ਸੰਘਾਰ ਨਿਮਖ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਕੋਟਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡ ਉਧਾਰਹਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Shhuttehi Sanghaar Nimakh Kirapaa Thae Kott Brehamandd Oudhhaarehi ||1|| Rehaao ||
छुटहि संघार निमख किरपा ते कोटि ब्रहमंड उधारहि ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Even a tiny bit of Your Mercy ends all cruelty and tyranny. You save and redeem millions of universes. ||1||Pause||

करहि अरदासि बहुतु बेनंती निमख निमख साम्हारहि ॥
I offer countless prayers; I remember You each and every instant.

होहु क्रिपाल दीन दुख भंजन हाथ देइ निसतारहि ॥१॥
Please be merciful to me, O Destroyer of the pains of the poor; please give me Your hand and save me. ||1||

किआ ए भूपति बपुरे कहीअहि कहु ए किस नो मारहि ॥
And what about these poor kings? Tell me, who can they kill?

अब मोहि धनु पाइओ हरि नामा ॥
Now I have obtained the wealth of the Lord's Name.
ਭਏ ਅਚਿੰਤ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਸਭ ਬੁਝੀ ਹੈ ਇਹੁ ਲਿਖਿਓ ਲੇਖੁ ਮਥਾਮਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Bheae Achinth Thrisan Sabh Bujhee Hai Eihu Likhiou Laekh Mathhaamaa ||1|| Rehaao ||
भए अचिंत त्रिसन सभ बुझी है इहु लिखिओ लेखु मथामा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
I have become carefree, and all my thirsty desires are satisfied. Such is the destiny written on my forehead. ||1||Pause||

Khojath Khojath Bhaeiou Bairaagee Fir Aaeiou Dhaeh Giraamaa ||
खोजत खोजत भइओ बैरागी फिरि आइओ देह गिरामा ॥
Searching and searching, I became depressed; I wandered all around, and finally came back to my body-village.
ਗੁਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲਿ ਸਉਦਾ ਇਹੁ ਜੋਰਿਓ ਹਥਿ ਚਰਿਓ ਲਾਲੁ ਅਗਾਮਾ ॥੧॥
Gur Kirapaal Soudhaa Eihu Joriou Hathh Chariou Laal Agaamaa ||1||
गुरि क्रिपालि सउदा इहु जोरिओ हथि चरिओ लालु अगामा ॥१॥
The Merciful Guru made this deal, and I have obtained the priceless jewel. ||1||

आन बापार बनज जो करीअहि तेते दूख सहामा ॥
The other deals and trades which I did, brought only sorrow and suffering.

गोबिद भजन के निरभै वापारी हरि रासि नानक राम नामा ॥२॥१२॥३५॥
Fearless are those traders who deal in meditation on the Lord of the Universe. O Nanak, the Lord's Name is their capital. ||2||12||35||

The Speech of my Beloved seems so sweet to my mind.
ਗੁਰਿ ਬਾਹ ਪਕਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਾਏ ਸਦ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਢੋਲਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

गुरि बाह पकरि प्रभ सेवा लाए सद दइआलु हरि ढोला ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
The Guru has taken hold of my arm, and linked me to God's service. My Beloved Lord is forever merciful to me. ||1||Pause||

प्रभ तू ठाकुरु सरब प्रतिपालकु मोहि कलत्र सहित सभि गोला ॥
O God, You are my Lord and Master; You are the Cherisher of all. My wife and I are totally Your slaves.

Jae Thakhath Baisaalehi Tho Dhaas Thumhaarae Ghaas Badtaavehi Kaethak Bolaa ||
जे तखति बैसालहि तउ दास तुम्हारे घासु बढावहि केतक बोला ॥
If You seat me on the throne, then I am Your slave. If You make me a grass-cutter, then what can I say?

The tongue becomes beautiful, uttering the Glorious Praises of the Lord.
ਏਕ ਨਿਮਖ ਓਪਾਇ ਸਮਾਵੈ ਦੇਖਿ ਚਰਿਤ ਮਨ ਮੋਹੰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Eaek Nimakh Oupaae Samaavai Dhaekh Charith Man Mohan ||1|| Rehaao ||
एक निमख ओपाइ समावै देखि चरित मन मोहं ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
In an instant, He creates and destroys. Gazing upon His Wondrous Plays, my mind is fascinated. ||1||Pause||
ਜਿਸੁ ਸੁਣਿਐ ਮਨਿ ਹੋਇ ਰਹਸੁ ਅਤਿ ਰਿਦੈ ਮਾਨ ਦੁਖ ਜੋਹੰ ॥
Jis Suniai Man Hoe Rehas Ath Ridhai Maan Dhukh Johan ||
जिसु सुणिऐ मनि होइ रहसु अति रिदै मान दुख जोहं ॥
Listening to His Praises, my mind is in utter ecstasy, and my heart is rid of pride and pain.
ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਓ ਦੁਖੁ ਦੂਰਿ ਪਰਾਇਓ ਬਣਿ ਆਈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੋਹੰ ॥੧॥
Sukh Paaeiou Dhukh Dhoor Paraaeiou Ban Aaee Prabh Thohan ||1||
सुखु पाइओ दुखु दूरि पराइओ बणि आई प्रभ तोहं ॥१॥
I have found peace, and my pains have been taken away, since I became one with God. ||1||
ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਗਏ ਮਨ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਿ ਕਾਢੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦ੍ਰੋਹੰ ॥
Kilavikh Geae Man Niramal Hoee Hai Gur Kaadtae Maaeiaa Dhrohan ||
किलविख गए मन निरमल होई है गुरि काढे माइआ द्रोहं ॥
Sinful resides have been wiped away, and my mind is immaculate. The Guru has lifted me up and pulled me out of the deception of Maya.

With my eyes, I have seen the marvellous wonders of the Lord.
ਸਭ ਹੂ ਦੂਰਿ ਸਭ ਹੂ ਤੇ ਨੇਰੈ ਅਗਮ ਅਗਮ ਘਟ ਵਾਸਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Sabh Hoo Dhoor Sabh Hoo Thae Naerai Agam Agam Ghatt Vaasaa ||1|| Rehaao ||
सभ हू दूरि सभ हू ते नेरै अगम अगम घट वासा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
He is far from all, and yet near to all. He is Inaccessible and Unfathomable, and yet He dwells in the heart. ||1||Pause||
ਅਭੂਲੁ ਨ ਭੂਲੈ ਲਿਖਿਓ ਨ ਚਲਾਵੈ ਮਤਾ ਨ ਕਰੈ ਪਚਾਸਾ ॥
Abhool N Bhoolai Likhiou N Chalaavai Mathaa N Karai Pachaasaa ||
अभूलु न भूलै लिखिओ न चलावै मता न करै पचासा ॥
The Infallible Lord never makes a mistake. He does not have to write His Orders, and He does not have to consult with anyone.
ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਸਾਜਿ ਸਵਾਰਿ ਬਿਨਾਹੈ ਭਗਤਿ ਵਛਲ ਗੁਣਤਾਸਾ ॥੧॥
Khin Mehi Saaj Savaar Binaahai Bhagath Vashhal Gunathaasaa ||1||
खिन महि साजि सवारि बिनाहै भगति वछल गुणतासा ॥१॥
In an instant, He creates, embellishes and destroys. He is the Lover of His devotees, the Treasure of Excellence. ||1||
ਅੰਧ ਕੂਪ ਮਹਿ ਦੀਪਕੁ ਬਲਿਓ ਗੁਰਿ ਰਿਦੈ ਕੀਓ ਪਰਗਾਸਾ ॥

अंध कूप महि दीपकु बलिओ गुरि रिदै कीओ परगासा ॥
Lighting the lamp in the deep dark pit, the Guru illumines and enlightens the heart.
