संतन कै चरन लागे काम क्रोध लोभ तिआगे गुर गोपाल भए क्रिपाल लबधि अपनी पाई ॥१॥
Grasping hold of the Feet of the Saints, I have abandoned sexual desire, anger and greed. The Guru, the Lord of the World, has been kind to me, and I have realized my destiny. ||1||
ਬਿਨਸੇ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਮੋਹ ਅੰਧ ਟੂਟੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਕੇ ਬੰਧ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਰਬਤ੍ਰ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਨਹ ਕੋਊ ਬੈਰਾਈ ॥
Binasae Bhram Moh Andhh Ttoottae Maaeiaa Kae Bandhh Pooran Sarabathr Thaakur Neh Kooo Bairaaee ||
बिनसे भ्रम मोह अंध टूटे माइआ के बंध पूरन सरबत्र ठाकुर नह कोऊ बैराई ॥
My doubts and attachments have been dispelled, and the blinding bonds of Maya have been broken. My Lord and Master is pervading and permeating everywhere; no one is an enemy.

हरि हरे हरि मुखहु बोलि हरि हरे मनि धारे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, Har; enshrine the Lord, Har, Har, within your mind. ||1||Pause||
ਸ੍ਰਵਨ ਸੁਨਨ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਨ ਅਨਿਕ ਪਾਤਿਕ ਪੁਨਹਚਰਨ ॥
Sravan Sunan Bhagath Karan Anik Paathik Punehacharan ||
स्रवन सुनन भगति करन अनिक पातिक पुनहचरन ॥
Hear Him with your ears, and practice devotional worship - these are good deeds, which make up for past evils.
ਸਰਨ ਪਰਨ ਸਾਧੂ ਆਨ ਬਾਨਿ ਬਿਸਾਰੇ ॥੧॥
Saran Paran Saadhhoo Aan Baan Bisaarae ||1||
सरन परन साधू आन बानि बिसारे ॥१॥
So seek the Sanctuary of the Holy, and forget all your other habits. ||1||.

Har Charan Preeth Neeth Neeth Paavanaa Mehi Mehaa Puneeth ||
हरि चरन प्रीति नीत नीति पावना महि महा पुनीत ॥
Love the Lord's Feet, continually and continuously - the most sacred and sanctified.
ਸੇਵਕ ਭੈ ਦੂਰਿ ਕਰਨ ਕਲਿਮਲ ਦੋਖ ਜਾਰੇ ॥
Saevak Bhai Dhoor Karan Kalimal Dhokh Jaarae ||
सेवक भै दूरि करन कलिमल दोख जारे ॥
Fear is taken away from the servant of the Lord, and the dirty sins and mistakes of the past are burnt away.
ਕਹਤ ਮੁਕਤ ਸੁਨਤ ਮੁਕਤ ਰਹਤ ਜਨਮ ਰਹਤੇ ॥
Kehath Mukath Sunath Mukath Rehath Janam Rehathae ||
कहत मुकत सुनत मुकत रहत जनम रहते ॥
Those who speak are liberated, and those who listen are liberated; those who keep the Rehit, the Code of Conduct, are not reincarnated again.

प्रीति लाइ हरि धिआइ गुन गोबिंद सदा गाइ ॥
Meditate lovingly on the Lord, and sing forever the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe.
ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਰੇਨ ਬਾਂਛੁ ਦੈਨਹਾਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥੧॥
Har Jan Kee Raen Baanshh Dhainehaar Suaamee ||1||
हरि जन की रेन बांछु दैनहार सुआमी ॥१॥
I long for the dust of the feet of the Lord's humble servant, O Great Giver, my Lord and Master. ||1||

सरब कुसल सुख बिस्राम आनदा आनंद नाम जम की कछु नाहि त्रास सिमरि अंतरजामी ॥
The Naam, the Name of the Lord, is the ultimate ecstasy, bliss, happiness, peace and tranquility. The fear is death is dispelled by meditating in remembrance on the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts.

गुन लाल गावउ गुर देखे ॥
Gazing upon my Guru, I sing the Praises of my Beloved Lord.
ਪੰਚਾ ਤੇ ਏਕੁ ਛੂਟਾ ਜਉ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਪਗ ਰਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Panchaa Thae Eaek Shhoottaa Jo Saadhhasang Pag Ro ||1|| Rehaao ||
पंचा ते एकु छूटा जउ साधसंगि पग रउ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
I escape from the five thieves, and I find the One, when I join the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||1||Pause||
ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਉ ਕਛੁ ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਜਾਇ ਮਾਨੁ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਮੋਹਾ ॥

द्रिसटउ कछु संगि न जाइ मानु तिआगि मोहा ॥
Nothing of the visible world shall go along with you; abandon your pride and attachment.
ਏਕੈ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਲਾਇ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਸੋਹਾ ॥੧॥
Eaekai Har Preeth Laae Mil Saadhhasang Sohaa ||1||
एकै हरि प्रीति लाइ मिलि साधसंगि सोहा ॥१॥
Love the One Lord, and join the Saadh Sangat, and you shall be embellished and exalted. ||1||
ਪਾਇਓ ਹੈ ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਸਗਲ ਆਸ ਪੂਰੀ ॥
Paaeiou Hai Gun Nidhhaan Sagal Aas Pooree ||
पाइओ है गुण निधानु सगल आस पूरी ॥
I have found the Lord, the Treasure of Excellence; all my hopes have been fulfilled.
ਨਾਨਕ ਮਨਿ ਅਨੰਦ ਭਏ ਗੁਰਿ ਬਿਖਮ ਗਾਰ੍ਹ ਤੋਰੀ ॥੨॥੬॥੧੩੫॥

साधू संतन सेवि कै प्रिउ हीअरै धिआइओ ॥
Serving the Holy Saints, I meditate on my Beloved within my heart.
ਆਨੰਦ ਰੂਪੀ ਪੇਖਿ ਕੈ ਹਉ ਮਹਲੁ ਪਾਵਉਗੀ ॥੧॥
Aanandh Roopee Paekh Kai Ho Mehal Paavougee ||1||
आनंद रूपी पेखि कै हउ महलु पावउगी ॥१॥
Gazing upon the Embodiment of Ecstasy, I rise to the Mansion of His Presence. ||1||
ਕਾਮ ਕਰੀ ਸਭ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਕੈ ਹਉ ਸਰਣਿ ਪਰਉਗੀ ॥
Kaam Karee Sabh Thiaag Kai Ho Saran Parougee ||
काम करी सभ तिआगि कै हउ सरणि परउगी ॥
I work for Him; I have forsaken everything else. I seek only His Sanctuary.
ਨਾਨਕ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਗਰਿ ਮਿਲੇ ਹਉ ਗੁਰ ਮਨਾਵਉਗੀ ॥੨॥੭॥੧੩੬॥
Naanak Suaamee Gar Milae Ho Gur Manaavougee ||2||7||136||
नानक सुआमी गरि मिले हउ गुर मनावउगी ॥२॥७॥१३६॥
O Nanak, my Lord and Master hugs me close in His Embrace; the Guru is pleased and satisfied with me. ||2||7||136||

मातर पितर तिआगि कै मनु संतन पाहि बेचाइओ ॥
I have abandoned my mother and father, and sold my mind to the Saints.
ਜਾਤਿ ਜਨਮ ਕੁਲ ਖੋਈਐ ਹਉ ਗਾਵਉ ਹਰਿ ਹਰੀ ॥੧॥
Jaath Janam Kul Khoeeai Ho Gaavo Har Haree ||1||
जाति जनम कुल खोईऐ हउ गावउ हरि हरी ॥१॥
I have lost my social status, birth-right and ancestry; I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, Har, Har. ||1||
ਲੋਕ ਕੁਟੰਬ ਤੇ ਟੂਟੀਐ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਿਰਤਿ ਕਿਰਤਿ ਕਰੀ ॥
Lok Kuttanb Thae Ttootteeai Prabh Kirath Kirath Karee ||
लोक कुट्मब ते टूटीऐ प्रभ किरति किरति करी ॥
I have broken away from other people and family; I work only for God.
ਗੁਰਿ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਉਪਦੇਸਿਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੇਵਿ ਏਕ ਹਰੀ ॥੨॥੮॥੧੩੭॥
Gur Mo Ko Oupadhaesiaa Naanak Saev Eaek Haree ||2||8||137||
गुरि मो कउ उपदेसिआ नानक सेवि एक हरी ॥२॥८॥१३७॥
