लाल लाल मोहन गोपाल तू ॥
You are my Loving Beloved Enticing Lord of the World.
ਕੀਟ ਹਸਤਿ ਪਾਖਾਣ ਜੰਤ ਸਰਬ ਮੈ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲ ਤੂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

कीट हसति पाखाण जंत सरब मै प्रतिपाल तू ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
You are in worms, elephants, stones and all beings and creatures; You nourish and cherish them all. ||1||Pause||

नह दूरि पूरि हजूरि संगे ॥
You are not far away; You are totally present with all.

ਕਰਤ ਕੇਲ ਬਿਖੈ ਮੇਲ ਚੰਦ੍ਰ ਸੂਰ ਮੋਹੇ ॥
Karath Kael Bikhai Mael Chandhr Soor Mohae ||
करत केल बिखै मेल चंद्र सूर मोहे ॥
Acting and play-acting, the mortal sinks into corruption. Even the moon and the sun are enticed and bewitched.
ਉਪਜਤਾ ਬਿਕਾਰ ਦੁੰਦਰ ਨਉਪਰੀ ਝੁਨੰਤਕਾਰ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਅਨਿਗ ਭਾਉ ਕਰਤ ਫਿਰਤ ਬਿਨੁ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਧੋਹੇ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

उपजता बिकार दुंदर नउपरी झुनंतकार सुंदर अनिग भाउ करत फिरत बिनु गोपाल धोहे ॥ रहाउ ॥
The disturbing noise of corruption wells up, in the tinkling ankle bells of Maya the beautiful. With her beguiling gestures of love, she seduces everyone except the Lord. ||Pause||
ਤੀਨਿ ਭਉਨੇ ਲਪਟਾਇ ਰਹੀ ਕਾਚ ਕਰਮਿ ਨ ਜਾਤ ਸਹੀ ਉਨਮਤ ਅੰਧ ਧੰਧ ਰਚਿਤ ਜੈਸੇ ਮਹਾ ਸਾਗਰ ਹੋਹੇ ॥੧॥
Theen Bhounae Lapattaae Rehee Kaach Karam N Jaath Sehee Ounamath Andhh Dhhandhh Rachith Jaisae Mehaa Saagar Hohae ||1||
तीनि भउने लपटाइ रही काच करमि न जात सही उनमत अंध धंध रचित जैसे महा सागर होहे ॥१॥
Maya clings to the three worlds; those who are stuck in wrong actions cannot escape her. Drunk and engrossed in blind worldly affairs, they are tossed about on the mighty ocean. ||1||

The Saint, the slave of the Lord is saved; the noose of the Messenger of Death is snapped. The Naam, the Name of the Lord, is the Purifier of sinners; O Nanak, remember Him in meditation. ||2||10||139||3||13||155||

ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਤੇਰੋ ਕੋ ਨ ਸਹਾਈ ॥
Har Bin Thaero Ko N Sehaaee ||
हरि बिनु तेरो को न सहाई ॥
No one will be your help and support, except the Lord.
ਕਾਂ ਕੀ ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੁਤ ਬਨਿਤਾ ਕੋ ਕਾਹੂ ਕੋ ਭਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Kaan Kee Maath Pithaa Suth Banithaa Ko Kaahoo Ko Bhaaee ||1|| Rehaao ||
कां की मात पिता सुत बनिता को काहू को भाई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Who has any mother, father, child or spouse? Who is anyone's brother or sister? ||1||Pause||
ਧਨੁ ਧਰਨੀ ਅਰੁ ਸੰਪਤਿ ਸਗਰੀ ਜੋ ਮਾਨਿਓ ਅਪਨਾਈ ॥
Dhhan Dhharanee Ar Sanpath Sagaree Jo Maaniou Apanaaee ||
धनु धरनी अरु स्मपति सगरी जो मानिओ अपनाई ॥
All the wealth, land and property which you consider your own
ਤਨ ਛੂਟੈ ਕਛੁ ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਚਾਲੈ ਕਹਾ ਤਾਹਿ ਲਪਟਾਈ ॥੧॥
Than Shhoottai Kashh Sang N Chaalai Kehaa Thaahi Lapattaaee ||1||
तन छूटै कछु संगि न चालै कहा ताहि लपटाई ॥१॥
- when you leave your body, none of it shall go along with you. Why do you cling to them? ||1||
ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਸਦਾ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨ ਤਾ ਸਿਉ ਰੁਚਿ ਨ ਬਢਾਈ ॥
Dheen Dhaeiaal Sadhaa Dhukh Bhanjan Thaa Sio Ruch N Badtaaee ||
दीन दइआल सदा दुख भंजन ता सिउ रुचि न बढाई ॥
God is Merciful to the meek, forever the Destroyer of fear, and yet you do not develop any loving relationship with Him.
ਨਾਨਕ ਕਹਤ ਜਗਤ ਸਭ ਮਿਥਿਆ ਜਿਉ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਰੈਨਾਈ ॥੨॥੧॥
Naanak Kehath Jagath Sabh Mithhiaa Jio Supanaa Rainaaee ||2||1||
नानक कहत जगत सभ मिथिआ जिउ सुपना रैनाई ॥२॥१॥
Says Nanak, the whole world is totally false; it is like a dream in the night. ||2||1||

ਕਹਾ ਮਨ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਸਿਉ ਲਪਟਾਹੀ ॥
Kehaa Man Bikhiaa Sio Lapattaahee ||
कहा मन बिखिआ सिउ लपटाही ॥
O mortal, why are you engrossed in corruption?
ਯਾ ਜਗ ਮਹਿ ਕੋਊ ਰਹਨੁ ਨ ਪਾਵੈ ਇਕਿ ਆਵਹਿ ਇਕਿ ਜਾਹੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Yaa Jag Mehi Kooo Rehan N Paavai Eik Aavehi Eik Jaahee ||1|| Rehaao ||
या जग महि कोऊ रहनु न पावै इकि आवहि इकि जाही ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
No one is allowed to remain in this world; one comes, and another departs. ||1||Pause||
ਕਾਂ ਕੋ ਤਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਸੰਪਤਿ ਕਾਂ ਕੀ ਕਾ ਸਿਉ ਨੇਹੁ ਲਗਾਹੀ ॥
Kaan Ko Than Dhhan Sanpath Kaan Kee Kaa Sio Naehu Lagaahee ||
कां को तनु धनु स्मपति कां की का सिउ नेहु लगाही ॥
Who has a body? Who has wealth and property? With whom should we fall in love?
ਜੋ ਦੀਸੈ ਸੋ ਸਗਲ ਬਿਨਾਸੈ ਜਿਉ ਬਾਦਰ ਕੀ ਛਾਹੀ ॥੧॥
Jo Dheesai So Sagal Binaasai Jio Baadhar Kee Shhaahee ||1||
जो दीसै सो सगल बिनासै जिउ बादर की छाही ॥१॥
Whatever is seen, shall all disappear, like the shade of a passing cloud. ||1||
ਤਜਿ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ ਸਰਣਿ ਸੰਤਨ ਗਹੁ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਹੋਹਿ ਛਿਨ ਮਾਹੀ ॥
Thaj Abhimaan Saran Santhan Gahu Mukath Hohi Shhin Maahee ||
तजि अभिमानु सरणि संतन गहु मुकति होहि छिन माही ॥
Abandon egotism, and grasp the Sanctuary of the Saints; you shall be liberated in an instant.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਭਜਨ ਬਿਨੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਸੁਪਨੈ ਭੀ ਨਾਹੀ ॥੨॥੨॥
Jan Naanak Bhagavanth Bhajan Bin Sukh Supanai Bhee Naahee ||2||2||
जन नानक भगवंत भजन बिनु सुखु सुपनै भी नाही ॥२॥२॥
O servant Nanak, without meditating and vibrating on the Lord God, there is no peace, even in dreams. ||2||2||

ਕਹਾ ਨਰ ਅਪਨੋ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਵੈ ॥

कहा नर अपनो जनमु गवावै ॥
O mortal, why have you wasted your life?
ਮਾਇਆ ਮਦਿ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਰਸਿ ਰਚਿਓ ਰਾਮ ਸਰਨਿ ਨਹੀ ਆਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Maaeiaa Madh Bikhiaa Ras Rachiou Raam Saran Nehee Aavai ||1|| Rehaao ||
माइआ मदि बिखिआ रसि रचिओ राम सरनि नही आवै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Intoxicated with Maya and its riches, involved in corrupt pleasures, you have not sought the Sanctuary of the Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਇਹੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਸਗਲ ਹੈ ਸੁਪਨੋ ਦੇਖਿ ਕਹਾ ਲੋਭਾਵੈ ॥
Eihu Sansaar Sagal Hai Supano Dhaekh Kehaa Lobhaavai ||
इहु संसारु सगल है सुपनो देखि कहा लोभावै ॥
This whole world is just a dream; why does seeing it fill you with greed?
ਜੋ ਉਪਜੈ ਸੋ ਸਗਲ ਬਿਨਾਸੈ ਰਹਨੁ ਨ ਕੋਊ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੧॥
Jo Oupajai So Sagal Binaasai Rehan N Kooo Paavai ||1||
जो उपजै सो सगल बिनासै रहनु न कोऊ पावै ॥१॥
Everything that has been created will be destroyed; nothing will remain. ||1||
ਮਿਥਿਆ ਤਨੁ ਸਾਚੋ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਨਿਓ ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਆਪੁ ਬੰਧਾਵੈ ॥
Mithhiaa Than Saacho Kar Maaniou Eih Bidhh Aap Bandhhaavai ||
मिथिआ तनु साचो करि मानिओ इह बिधि आपु बंधावै ॥
You see this false body as true; in this way, you have placed yourself in bondage.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋਊ ਜਨੁ ਮੁਕਤਾ ਰਾਮ ਭਜਨ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਵੈ ॥੨॥੩॥
Jan Naanak Sooo Jan Mukathaa Raam Bhajan Chith Laavai ||2||3||
जन नानक सोऊ जनु मुकता राम भजन चितु लावै ॥२॥३॥
O servant Nanak, he is a liberated being, whose consciousness lovingly vibrates, and meditates on the Lord. ||2||3||
