ੴ ਸਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੁ ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਅਜੂਨੀ ਸੈਭੰ ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
Ik Oankaar Sath Naam Karathaa Purakh Nirabho Niravair Akaal Moorath Ajoonee Saibhan Gur Prasaadh ||
ੴ सति नामु करता पुरखु निरभउ निरवैरु अकाल मूरति अजूनी सैभं गुर प्रसादि ॥
One Universal Creator God. Truth Is The Name. Creative Being Personified. No Fear. No Hatred. Image Of The Undying. Beyond Birth. Self-Existent. By Guru's Grace:
ਖਾਣਾ ਪੀਣਾ ਹਸਣਾ ਸਉਣਾ ਵਿਸਰਿ ਗਇਆ ਹੈ ਮਰਣਾ ॥
Khaanaa Peenaa Hasanaa Sounaa Visar Gaeiaa Hai Maranaa ||
खाणा पीणा हसणा सउणा विसरि गइआ है मरणा ॥
Eating, drinking, laughing and sleeping, the mortal forgets about dying.
ਖਸਮੁ ਵਿਸਾਰਿ ਖੁਆਰੀ ਕੀਨੀ ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਜੀਵਣੁ ਨਹੀ ਰਹਣਾ ॥੧॥
Khasam Visaar Khuaaree Keenee Dhhrig Jeevan Nehee Rehanaa ||1||
खसमु विसारि खुआरी कीनी ध्रिगु जीवणु नही रहणा ॥१॥
Forgetting his Lord and Master, the mortal is ruined, and his life is cursed. He cannot remain forever. ||1||
ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਏਕੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵਹੁ ॥
Praanee Eaeko Naam Dhhiaavahu ||
प्राणी एको नामु धिआवहु ॥
O mortal, meditate on the One Lord.
ਅਪਨੀ ਪਤਿ ਸੇਤੀ ਘਰਿ ਜਾਵਹੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Apanee Path Saethee Ghar Jaavahu ||1|| Rehaao ||
अपनी पति सेती घरि जावहु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
You shall go to your true home with honor. ||1 Pause||
ਤੁਧਨੋ ਸੇਵਹਿ ਤੁਝੁ ਕਿਆ ਦੇਵਹਿ ਮਾਂਗਹਿ ਲੇਵਹਿ ਰਹਹਿ ਨਹੀ ॥
Thudhhano Saevehi Thujh Kiaa Dhaevehi Maangehi Laevehi Rehehi Nehee ||
तुधनो सेवहि तुझु किआ देवहि मांगहि लेवहि रहहि नही ॥
Those who serve You - what can they give You? They beg for and receive what cannot remain.
ਤੂ ਦਾਤਾ ਜੀਆ ਸਭਨਾ ਕਾ ਜੀਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਤੁਹੀ ॥੨॥
Thoo Dhaathaa Jeeaa Sabhanaa Kaa Jeeaa Andhar Jeeo Thuhee ||2||
तू दाता जीआ सभना का जीआ अंदरि जीउ तुही ॥२॥
You are the Great Giver of all souls; You are the Life within all living beings. ||2||
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਧਿਆਵਹਿ ਸਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਸੇਈ ਸੂਚੇ ਹੋਹੀ ॥
Guramukh Dhhiaavehi S Anmrith Paavehi Saeee Soochae Hohee ||
गुरमुखि धिआवहि सि अम्रितु पावहि सेई सूचे होही ॥
The Gurmukhs meditate, and receive the Ambrosial Nectar; thus they become pure.
ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਹੁ ਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਮੈਲੇ ਹਛੇ ਹੋਹੀ ॥੩॥
Ahinis Naam Japahu Rae Praanee Mailae Hashhae Hohee ||3||
अहिनिसि नामु जपहु रे प्राणी मैले हछे होही ॥३॥
Day and night, chant the Naam, the Name of the Lord, O mortal. It makes the filthy immacuate. ||3||
ਜੇਹੀ ਰੁਤਿ ਕਾਇਆ ਸੁਖੁ ਤੇਹਾ ਤੇਹੋ ਜੇਹੀ ਦੇਹੀ ॥
Jaehee Ruth Kaaeiaa Sukh Thaehaa Thaeho Jaehee Dhaehee ||
जेही रुति काइआ सुखु तेहा तेहो जेही देही ॥
As is the season, so is the comfort of the body, and so is the body itself.
ਨਾਨਕ ਰੁਤਿ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ਸਾਈ ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਰੁਤਿ ਕੇਹੀ ॥੪॥੧॥
Naanak Ruth Suhaavee Saaee Bin Naavai Ruth Kaehee ||4||1||
नानक रुति सुहावी साई बिनु नावै रुति केही ॥४॥१॥
O Nanak, that season is beautiful; without the Name, what season is it? ||4||1||

ਕਰਉ ਬਿਨਉ ਗੁਰ ਅਪਨੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਹਰਿ ਵਰੁ ਆਣਿ ਮਿਲਾਵੈ ॥
Karo Bino Gur Apanae Preetham Har Var Aan Milaavai ||
करउ बिनउ गुर अपने प्रीतम हरि वरु आणि मिलावै ॥
I offer prayers to my Beloved Guru, that He may unite me with my Husband Lord.
ਸੁਣਿ ਘਨ ਘੋਰ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਮਨੁ ਮੋਰਾ ਲਾਲ ਰਤੀ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ॥੧॥
Sun Ghan Ghor Seethal Man Moraa Laal Rathee Gun Gaavai ||1||
सुणि घन घोर सीतलु मनु मोरा लाल रती गुण गावै ॥१॥
I hear the thunder in the clouds, and my mind is cooled and soothed; imbued with the Love of my Dear Beloved, I sing His Glorious Praises. ||1||
ਬਰਸੁ ਘਨਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਭੀਨਾ ॥
Baras Ghanaa Maeraa Man Bheenaa ||
बरसु घना मेरा मनु भीना ॥
The rain pours down, and my mind is drenched with His Love.
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬੂੰਦ ਸੁਹਾਨੀ ਹੀਅਰੈ ਗੁਰਿ ਮੋਹੀ ਮਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਸਿ ਲੀਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Anmrith Boondh Suhaanee Heearai Gur Mohee Man Har Ras Leenaa ||1|| Rehaao ||
अम्रित बूंद सुहानी हीअरै गुरि मोही मनु हरि रसि लीना ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
The drop of Ambrosial Nectar pleases my heart; the Guru has fascinated my mind, which is drenched in the sublime essence of the Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਖੀ ਵਰ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਜਿਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਬਚਨੀ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ॥
Sehaj Sukhee Var Kaaman Piaaree Jis Gur Bachanee Man Maaniaa ||
सहजि सुखी वर कामणि पिआरी जिसु गुर बचनी मनु मानिआ ॥
With intuitive peace and poise, the soul-bride is loved by her Husband Lord; her mind is pleased and appeased by the Guru's Teachings.
ਹਰਿ ਵਰਿ ਨਾਰਿ ਭਈ ਸੋਹਾਗਣਿ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੁ ਸੁਖਾਨਿਆ ॥੨॥
Har Var Naar Bhee Sohaagan Man Than Praem Sukhaaniaa ||2||
हरि वरि नारि भई सोहागणि मनि तनि प्रेमु सुखानिआ ॥२॥
She is the happy soul-bride of her Husband Lord; her mind and body are filled with joy by His Love. ||2||
ਅਵਗਣ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਭਈ ਬੈਰਾਗਨਿ ਅਸਥਿਰੁ ਵਰੁ ਸੋਹਾਗੁ ਹਰੀ ॥
Avagan Thiaag Bhee Bairaagan Asathhir Var Sohaag Haree ||
अवगण तिआगि भई बैरागनि असथिरु वरु सोहागु हरी ॥
Discarding her demerits, she becomes detached; with the Lord as her Husband, her marriage is eternal.
ਸੋਗੁ ਵਿਜੋਗੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਵਿਆਪੈ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਅਪਣੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੀ ॥੩॥
Sog Vijog This Kadhae N Viaapai Har Prabh Apanee Kirapaa Karee ||3||
सोगु विजोगु तिसु कदे न विआपै हरि प्रभि अपणी किरपा करी ॥३॥
She never suffers separation or sorrow; her Lord God showers her with His Grace. ||3||
ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣੁ ਨਹੀ ਮਨੁ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਓਟ ਗਹੀ ॥
Aavan Jaan Nehee Man Nihachal Poorae Gur Kee Outt Gehee ||
आवण जाणु नही मनु निहचलु पूरे गुर की ओट गही ॥
Her mind is steady and stable; she does not come and go in reincarnation.
ਨਾਨਕ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਧਨੁ ਸੋਹਾਗਣਿ ਸਚੁ ਸਹੀ ॥੪॥੨॥
Naanak Raam Naam Jap Guramukh Dhhan Sohaagan Sach Sehee ||4||2||
नानक राम नामु जपि गुरमुखि धनु सोहागणि सचु सही ॥४॥२॥
She takes the Shelter of the Perfect Guru. O Nanak, as Gurmukh, chant the Naam; you shall be accepted as the true soul-bride of the Lord. ||4||2||

ਸਾਚੀ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਨਹੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤੇ ਹਉਮੈ ਕਰਤ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥
Saachee Surath Naam Nehee Thripathae Houmai Karath Gavaaeiaa ||
साची सुरति नामि नही त्रिपते हउमै करत गवाइआ ॥
They pretend to understand the Truth, but they are not satisfied by the Naam; they waste their lives in egotism.
