Manamukh Dhoojai Bharam Bhulaaeae Naa Boojhehi Veechaaraa ||7||
मनमुख दूजै भरमि भुलाए ना बूझहि वीचारा ॥७॥
The self-willed manmukhs wander, lost in doubt and duality. They do not know how to contemplate the Lord. ||7||
ਆਪੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਆਪੇ ਦੇਵੈ ਆਪੇ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਵੇਖੈ ॥
Aapae Guramukh Aapae Dhaevai Aapae Kar Kar Vaekhai ||
आपे गुरमुखि आपे देवै आपे करि करि वेखै ॥
He Himself is the Gurmukh, and He Himself gives; He Himself creates and beholds.
ਨਾਨਕ ਸੇ ਜਨ ਥਾਇ ਪਏ ਹੈ ਜਿਨ ਕੀ ਪਤਿ ਪਾਵੈ ਲੇਖੈ ॥੮॥੩॥

नानक से जन थाइ पए है जिन की पति पावै लेखै ॥८॥३॥
O Nanak, those humble beings are approved, whose honor the Lord Himself accepts. ||8||3||

गुसाईं परतापु तुहारो डीठा ॥
O Lord of the World, I gaze upon Your wondrous glory.
ਕਰਨ ਕਰਾਵਨ ਉਪਾਇ ਸਮਾਵਨ ਸਗਲ ਛਤ੍ਰਪਤਿ ਬੀਠਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

राणा राउ राज भए रंका उनि झूठे कहणु कहाइओ ॥
The rulers and nobles and kings shall become beggars. Their ostentatious shows are false
ਹਮਰਾ ਰਾਜਨੁ ਸਦਾ ਸਲਾਮਤਿ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਸਗਲ ਘਟਾ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਇਓ ॥੧॥
Hamaraa Raajan Sadhaa Salaamath Thaa Ko Sagal Ghattaa Jas Gaaeiou ||1||
हमरा राजनु सदा सलामति ता को सगल घटा जसु गाइओ ॥१॥
My Sovereign Lord King is eternally stable. His Praises are sung in every heart. ||1||
ਉਪਮਾ ਸੁਨਹੁ ਰਾਜਨ ਕੀ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਕਹਤ ਜੇਤ ਪਾਹੂਚਾ ॥

उपमा सुनहु राजन की संतहु कहत जेत पाहूचा ॥

ਬੇਸੁਮਾਰ ਵਡ ਸਾਹ ਦਾਤਾਰਾ ਊਚੇ ਹੀ ਤੇ ਊਚਾ ॥੨॥
Baesumaar Vadd Saah Dhaathaaraa Oochae Hee Thae Oochaa ||2||
बेसुमार वड साह दातारा ऊचे ही ते ऊचा ॥२॥
My Lord King, the Great Giver, is Immeasurable. He is the Highest of the high. ||2||
ਪਵਨਿ ਪਰੋਇਓ ਸਗਲ ਅਕਾਰਾ ਪਾਵਕ ਕਾਸਟ ਸੰਗੇ ॥
Pavan Paroeiou Sagal Akaaraa Paavak Kaasatt Sangae ||
पवनि परोइओ सगल अकारा पावक कासट संगे ॥
He has strung His Breath throughout the creation; He locked the fire in the wood.
ਨੀਰੁ ਧਰਣਿ ਕਰਿ ਰਾਖੇ ਏਕਤ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਕਿਸ ਹੀ ਸੰਗੇ ॥੩॥
Neer Dhharan Kar Raakhae Eaekath Koe N Kis Hee Sangae ||3||
नीरु धरणि करि राखे एकत कोइ न किस ही संगे ॥३॥
He placed the water and the land together, but neither blends with the other. ||3||
ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਕਥਾ ਰਾਜਨ ਕੀ ਚਾਲੈ ਘਰਿ ਘਰਿ ਤੁਝਹਿ ਉਮਾਹਾ ॥
Ghatt Ghatt Kathhaa Raajan Kee Chaalai Ghar Ghar Thujhehi Oumaahaa ||
घटि घटि कथा राजन की चालै घरि घरि तुझहि उमाहा ॥
In each and every heart, the Story of our Sovereign Lord is told; in each and every home, they yearn for Him.
ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਭਿ ਪਾਛੈ ਕਰਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਥਮੇ ਰਿਜਕੁ ਸਮਾਹਾ ॥੪॥
Jeea Janth Sabh Paashhai Kariaa Prathhamae Rijak Samaahaa ||4||
जीअ जंत सभि पाछै करिआ प्रथमे रिजकु समाहा ॥४॥
Afterwards, He created all beings and creatures; but first, He provided them with sustenance. ||4||
ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰਣਾ ਸੁ ਆਪੇ ਕਰਣਾ ਮਸਲਤਿ ਕਾਹੂ ਦੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੀ ॥
Jo Kishh Karanaa S Aapae Karanaa Masalath Kaahoo Dheenhee ||
जो किछु करणा सु आपे करणा मसलति काहू दीन्ही ॥
Whatever He does, He does by Himself. Who has ever given Him advice?
ਅਨਿਕ ਜਤਨ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਹ ਦਿਖਾਏ ਸਾਚੀ ਸਾਖੀ ਚੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੀ ॥੫॥
Anik Jathan Kar Kareh Dhikhaaeae Saachee Saakhee Cheenhee ||5||
अनिक जतन करि करह दिखाए साची साखी चीन्ही ॥५॥
The mortals make all sorts of efforts and showy displays, but He is realized only through the Teachings of Truth. ||5||
ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਾ ਕਰਿ ਰਾਖੇ ਅਪਨੇ ਦੀਨੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਡਾਈ ॥
Har Bhagathaa Kar Raakhae Apanae Dheenee Naam Vaddaaee ||
हरि भगता करि राखे अपने दीनी नामु वडाई ॥
The Lord protects and saves His devotees; He blesses them with the glory of His Name.
ਜਿਨਿ ਜਿਨਿ ਕਰੀ ਅਵਗਿਆ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਤੇ ਤੈਂ ਦੀਏ ਰੁੜ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਈ ॥੬॥
Jin Jin Karee Avagiaa Jan Kee Thae Thain Dheeeae Rurrhaaee ||6||
जिनि जिनि करी अवगिआ जन की ते तैं दीए रुड़्हाई ॥६॥
Whoever is disrespectful to the humble servant of the Lord, shall be swept away and destroyed. ||6||
ਮੁਕਤਿ ਭਏ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਅਵਗਨ ਸਭਿ ਪਰਹਰਿਆ ॥
Mukath Bheae Saadhhasangath Kar Thin Kae Avagan Sabh Parehariaa ||
मुकति भए साधसंगति करि तिन के अवगन सभि परहरिआ ॥
Those who join the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, are liberated; all their demerits are taken away.
ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਦੇਖਿ ਭਏ ਕਿਰਪਾਲਾ ਤਿਨ ਭਵ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਤਰਿਆ ॥੭॥
Thin Ko Dhaekh Bheae Kirapaalaa Thin Bhav Saagar Thariaa ||7||
तिन कउ देखि भए किरपाला तिन भव सागरु तरिआ ॥७॥
Seeing them, God becomes merciful; they are carried across the terrifying world-ocean. ||7||
ਹਮ ਨਾਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੇ ਨੀਚ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹੇ ਬਡ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਕਉਣ ਬੀਚਾਰਾ ॥
Ham Naanhae Neech Thumaeh Badd Saahib Kudharath Koun Beechaaraa ||
हम नान्हे नीच तुम्हे बड साहिब कुदरति कउण बीचारा ॥
I am lowly, I am nothing at all; You are my Great Lord and Master - how can I even contemplate Your creative potency?
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਗੁਰ ਦਰਸ ਦੇਖੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਧਾਰਾ ॥੮॥੧॥

मनु तनु सीतलु गुर दरस देखे नानक नामु अधारा ॥८॥१॥

मन भीतरि होवै परगासु ॥
His Light shall radiate deep within your mind.
ਗਿਆਨ ਅੰਜਨੁ ਅਗਿਆਨ ਬਿਨਾਸੁ ॥੧॥
Giaan Anjan Agiaan Binaas ||1||
गिआन अंजनु अगिआन बिनासु ॥१॥
With the healing ointment of spiritual wisdom, ignorance is dispelled. ||1||
ਮਿਤਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਬਿਸਥਾਰੁ ॥
Mith Naahee Jaa Kaa Bisathhaar ||
मिति नाही जा का बिसथारु ॥
There is no limit to His Expanse.
ਸੋਭਾ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਅਪਰ ਅਪਾਰ ॥
Sobhaa Thaa Kee Apar Apaar ||
सोभा ता की अपर अपार ॥
His Glory is Infinite and Endless.
ਅਨਿਕ ਰੰਗ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਗਨੇ ਨ ਜਾਹਿ ॥
Anik Rang Jaa Kae Ganae N Jaahi ||
अनिक रंग जा के गने न जाहि ॥
His many plays cannot be counted.
ਸੋਗ ਹਰਖ ਦੁਹਹੂ ਮਹਿ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੨॥
Sog Harakh Dhuhehoo Mehi Naahi ||2||
सोग हरख दुहहू महि नाहि ॥२॥
He is not subject to pleasure or pain. ||2||
ਅਨਿਕ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਬੇਦ ਧੁਨਿ ਕਰਹਿ ॥

अनिक ब्रहमे जा के बेद धुनि करहि ॥
Many Brahmas vibrate Him in the Vedas.
