Khojath Khojath Eihai Beechaariou Sarab Sukhaa Har Naamaa ||
खोजत खोजत इहै बीचारिओ सरब सुखा हरि नामा ॥
Searching and searching, I have come to this realization: all peace and bliss are in the Name of the Lord.

ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਮ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਕਹੀਐ ॥
Anadhin Raam Kae Gun Keheeai ||
अनदिनु राम के गुण कहीऐ ॥
Night and day, utter the Glorious Praises of the Lord.
ਸਗਲ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਸਰਬ ਸੂਖ ਸਿਧਿ ਮਨ ਬਾਂਛਤ ਫਲ ਲਹੀਐ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Sagal Padhaarathh Sarab Sookh Sidhh Man Baanshhath Fal Leheeai ||1|| Rehaao ||
सगल पदारथ सरब सूख सिधि मन बांछत फल लहीऐ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
You shall obtain all wealth, all pleasures and successes, and the fruits of your mind's desires. ||1||Pause||
ਆਵਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਸੁਖਦਾਤੇ ਸਿਮਰਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ॥
Aavahu Santh Praan Sukhadhaathae Simareh Prabh Abinaasee ||
आवहु संत प्रान सुखदाते सिमरह प्रभु अबिनासी ॥
Come, O Saints, let us meditate in remembrance on God; He is the Eternal, Imperishable Giver of Peace and Praanaa, the Breath of Life.
ਅਨਾਥਹ ਨਾਥੁ ਦੀਨ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਘਟ ਵਾਸੀ ॥੧॥
Anaathheh Naathh Dheen Dhukh Bhanjan Poor Rehiou Ghatt Vaasee ||1||
अनाथह नाथु दीन दुख भंजन पूरि रहिओ घट वासी ॥१॥
Master of the masterless, Destroyer of the pains of the meek and the poor; He is All-pervading and permeating, abiding in all hearts. ||1||
ਗਾਵਤ ਸੁਨਤ ਸੁਨਾਵਤ ਸਰਧਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਪੀ ਵਡਭਾਗੇ ॥
Gaavath Sunath Sunaavath Saradhhaa Har Ras Pee Vaddabhaagae ||
गावत सुनत सुनावत सरधा हरि रसु पी वडभागे ॥
The very fortunate ones drink in the Sublime Essence of the Lord, singing, reciting and listening to the Lord's Praises.
ਕਲਿ ਕਲੇਸ ਮਿਟੇ ਸਭਿ ਤਨ ਤੇ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਲਿਵ ਜਾਗੇ ॥੨॥
Kal Kalaes Mittae Sabh Than Thae Raam Naam Liv Jaagae ||2||
कलि कलेस मिटे सभि तन ते राम नाम लिव जागे ॥२॥
All their sufferings and struggles are wiped away from their bodies; they remain lovingly awake and aware in the Name of the Lord. ||2||
ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਝੂਠੁ ਤਜਿ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਨਿ ਬੰਧਨ ਤੂਟੇ ॥
Kaam Krodhh Jhooth Thaj Nindhaa Har Simaran Bandhhan Thoottae ||
कामु क्रोधु झूठु तजि निंदा हरि सिमरनि बंधन तूटे ॥
So abandon your sexual desire, greed, falsehood and slander; meditating in remembrance on the Lord, you shall be released from bondage.
ਮੋਹ ਮਗਨ ਅਹੰ ਅੰਧ ਮਮਤਾ ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਛੂਟੇ ॥੩॥
Moh Magan Ahan Andhh Mamathaa Gur Kirapaa Thae Shhoottae ||3||
मोह मगन अहं अंध ममता गुर किरपा ते छूटे ॥३॥
The intoxication of loving attachments, egotism and blind possessiveness are eradicated by Guru's Grace. ||3||
ਤੂ ਸਮਰਥੁ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਜਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ॥
Thoo Samarathh Paarabreham Suaamee Kar Kirapaa Jan Thaeraa ||
तू समरथु पारब्रहम सुआमी करि किरपा जनु तेरा ॥
You are All-Powerful, O Supreme Lord God and Master; please be Merciful to Your humble servant.
ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਸਰਬ ਮਹਿ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਨੇਰਾ ॥੪॥੧੨॥

पूरि रहिओ सरब महि ठाकुरु नानक सो प्रभु नेरा ॥४॥१२॥
My Lord and Master is All-pervading and prevailing everywhere; O Nanak, God is Near. ||4||12||

I am a sacrifice to the Feet of the Divine Guru.
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਹਮਾਰੀ ਗਤਿ ਕਰਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Jaa Kai Sang Paarabreham Dhhiaaeeai Oupadhaes Hamaaree Gath Karan ||1|| Rehaao ||
जा कै संगि पारब्रहमु धिआईऐ उपदेसु हमारी गति करन ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
I meditate with Him on the Supreme Lord God; His Teachings have emancipated me. ||1||Pause||
ਦੂਖ ਰੋਗ ਭੈ ਸਗਲ ਬਿਨਾਸੇ ਜੋ ਆਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤ ਸਰਨ ॥
Dhookh Rog Bhai Sagal Binaasae Jo Aavai Har Santh Saran ||
दूख रोग भै सगल बिनासे जो आवै हरि संत सरन ॥
All pains, diseases and fears are erased, for one who comes to the Sanctuary of the Lord's Saints.
ਆਪਿ ਜਪੈ ਅਵਰਹ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਾਵੈ ਵਡ ਸਮਰਥ ਤਾਰਨ ਤਰਨ ॥੧॥
Aap Japai Avareh Naam Japaavai Vadd Samarathh Thaaran Tharan ||1||
आपि जपै अवरह नामु जपावै वड समरथ तारन तरन ॥१॥
He Himself chants, and inspires others to chant the Naam, the Name of the Lord. He is Utterly All-Powerful; He carries us across to the other side. ||1||
ਜਾ ਕੋ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਉਤਾਰੈ ਸਹਸਾ ਊਣੇ ਕਉ ਸੁਭਰ ਭਰਨ ॥
Jaa Ko Manthra Outhaarai Sehasaa Oonae Ko Subhar Bharan ||
जा को मंत्रु उतारै सहसा ऊणे कउ सुभर भरन ॥
His Mantra drives out cynicism, and totally fills the empty one.
ਹਰਿ ਦਾਸਨ ਕੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਮਾਨਤ ਤੇ ਨਾਹੀ ਫੁਨਿ ਗਰਭ ਪਰਨ ॥੨॥
Har Dhaasan Kee Aagiaa Maanath Thae Naahee Fun Garabh Paran ||2||
हरि दासन की आगिआ मानत ते नाही फुनि गरभ परन ॥२॥
Those who obey the Order of the Lord's slaves, do not enter into the womb of reincarnation ever again. ||2||
ਭਗਤਨ ਕੀ ਟਹਲ ਕਮਾਵਤ ਗਾਵਤ ਦੁਖ ਕਾਟੇ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ॥
Bhagathan Kee Ttehal Kamaavath Gaavath Dhukh Kaattae Thaa Kae Janam Maran ||
भगतन की टहल कमावत गावत दुख काटे ता के जनम मरन ॥
Whoever works for the Lord's devotees and sings His Praises - his pains of birth and death are taken away.
ਜਾ ਕਉ ਭਇਓ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਬੀਠੁਲਾ ਤਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਅਜਰ ਜਰਨ ॥੩॥
Jaa Ko Bhaeiou Kirapaal Beethulaa Thin Har Har Ajar Jaran ||3||
जा कउ भइओ क्रिपालु बीठुला तिनि हरि हरि अजर जरन ॥३॥
Those unto whom my Beloved becomes Merciful, endure the Unendurable Ecstasy of the Lord, Har, Har. ||3||
ਹਰਿ ਰਸਹਿ ਅਘਾਨੇ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਨੇ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਨਾਹੀ ਜਾਤ ਬਰਨ ॥
Har Rasehi Aghaanae Sehaj Samaanae Mukh Thae Naahee Jaath Baran ||
हरि रसहि अघाने सहजि समाने मुख ते नाही जात बरन ॥
Those who are satisfied by the Sublime Essence of the Lord, merge intuitively into the Lord; no mouth can describe their state.
ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੰਤੋਖੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਉਧਰਨ ॥੪॥੧੩॥
Gur Prasaadh Naanak Santhokhae Naam Prabhoo Jap Jap Oudhharan ||4||13||
गुर प्रसादि नानक संतोखे नामु प्रभू जपि जपि उधरन ॥४॥१३॥
By Guru's Grace, O Nanak, they are content; chanting and meditating on God's Name, they are saved. ||4||13||

गाइओ री मै गुण निधि मंगल गाइओ ॥
I sing, O I sing the Songs of Joy of my Lord, the Treasure of Virtue.
ਭਲੇ ਸੰਜੋਗ ਭਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਅਉਸਰ ਜਉ ਗੋਪਾਲੁ ਰੀਝਾਇਓ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Bhalae Sanjog Bhalae Dhin Aousar Jo Gopaal Reejhaaeiou ||1|| Rehaao ||
भले संजोग भले दिन अउसर जउ गोपालु रीझाइओ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Fortunate is the time, fortunate is the day and the moment, when I become pleasing to the Lord of the World. ||1||Pause||

संतह चरन मोरलो माथा ॥
I touch my forehead to the Feet of the Saints.

Hamarae Masathak Santh Dhharae Haathhaa ||1||
हमरे मसतकि संत धरे हाथा ॥१॥
The Saints have placed their hands on my forehead. ||1||
ਸਾਧਹ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਮੋਰਲੋ ਮਨੂਆ ॥
Saadhheh Manthra Moralo Manooaa ||
साधह मंत्रु मोरलो मनूआ ॥
My mind is filled with the Mantra of the Holy Saints,
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਗਤੁ ਹੋਏ ਤ੍ਰੈ ਗੁਨੀਆ ॥੨॥
Thaa Thae Gath Hoeae Thrai Guneeaa ||2||
ता ते गतु होए त्रै गुनीआ ॥२॥
And I have risen above the three qualities||2||
ਭਗਤਹ ਦਰਸੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਨੈਨ ਰੰਗਾ ॥
Bhagatheh Dharas Dhaekh Nain Rangaa ||
भगतह दरसु देखि नैन रंगा ॥
Gazing upon the Blessed Vision, the Darshan of God's devotees, my eyes are filled with love.
ਲੋਭ ਮੋਹ ਤੂਟੇ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਸੰਗਾ ॥੩॥
Lobh Moh Thoottae Bhram Sangaa ||3||
लोभ मोह तूटे भ्रम संगा ॥३॥
Greed and attachment are gone, along with doubt. ||3||
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੁਖ ਸਹਜ ਅਨੰਦਾ ॥
Kahu Naanak Sukh Sehaj Anandhaa ||
कहु नानक सुख सहज अनंदा ॥
Says Nanak, I have found intuitive peace, poise and bliss.
ਖੋਲ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ ਭੀਤਿ ਮਿਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਨੰਦਾ ॥੪॥੧੪॥
Kholih Bheeth Milae Paramaanandhaa ||4||14||
खोल्हि भीति मिले परमानंदा ॥४॥१४॥
Tearing down the wall, I have met the Lord, the Embodiment of Supreme Bliss. ||4||14||
