सूख मंगल कलिआण जिसहि घरि तिस ही सरणी पाईऐ ॥
Peace, joy and salvation are in His Home. Seek the Protection of His Sanctuary.

Thisehi Thiaag Maanukh Jae Saevahu Tho Laaj Lon Hoe Jaaeeai ||1||
तिसहि तिआगि मानुखु जे सेवहु तउ लाज लोनु होइ जाईऐ ॥१॥
But if you forsake Him, and serve mortal beings, your honor will dissolve like salt in water. ||1||

अंगीकारु कीओ प्रभि अपुनै काढि लीआ बिखु घेरै ॥
God has taken my side; He has lifted me up and pulled me out of the whirlpool of corruption.

अम्रित नामु अउखधु मुखि दीनो जाइ पइआ गुर पैरै ॥१॥
He has poured the medicine of the Naam, the Ambrosial Name of the Lord, into my mouth; I have fallen at the Guru's Feet. ||1||
ਕਵਨ ਉਪਮਾ ਕਹਉ ਏਕ ਮੁਖ ਨਿਰਗੁਣ ਕੇ ਦਾਤੇਰੈ ॥

कवन उपमा कहउ एक मुख निरगुण के दातेरै ॥
How can I praise You with only one mouth? You are generous, even to the unworthy.

हाथ देइ राखे प्रभि अपुने सद जीवन अबिनासी ॥
God gave me His Hand and saved me; He has blessed me with eternal life.

जब भुखौ तब भोजनु मांगै अघाए सूख सघारै ॥
When I am hungry, I ask for food; when I am full, I am totally at peace.
ਤਬ ਅਰੋਗ ਜਬ ਤੁਮ ਸੰਗਿ ਬਸਤੌ ਛੁਟਕਤ ਹੋਇ ਰਵਾਰੈ ॥੧॥
Thab Arog Jab Thum Sang Basatha Shhuttakath Hoe Ravaarai ||1||
तब अरोग जब तुम संगि बसतौ छुटकत होइ रवारै ॥१॥
When I dwell with You, I am free of disease; if I become separated from You, I turn to dust. ||1||
ਕਵਨ ਬਸੇਰੋ ਦਾਸ ਦਾਸਨ ਕੋ ਥਾਪਿਉ ਥਾਪਨਹਾਰੈ ॥
Kavan Basaero Dhaas Dhaasan Ko Thhaapio Thhaapanehaarai ||
कवन बसेरो दास दासन को थापिउ थापनहारै ॥
What power does the slave of Your slave have, O Establisher and Disestablisher?
ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਬਿਸਰੈ ਤਬ ਜੀਵਨੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਬਿਨਤੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੈ ॥੨॥੨੯॥੫੨॥
Naam N Bisarai Thab Jeevan Paaeeai Binathee Naanak Eih Saarai ||2||29||52||
नामु न बिसरै तब जीवनु पाईऐ बिनती नानक इह सारै ॥२॥२९॥५२॥
If I do not forget the Naam, the Name of the Lord, then I die. Nanak offers this prayer. ||2||29||52||

लाल दइआल गुलाल लाडिले सहजि सहजि गुन गाइओ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
With intuitive ease, peace and poise, I sing the Glorious Praises of my Kind, Sweet, Darling Beloved. ||1||Pause||
ਗੁਰ ਬਚਨਾਤਿ ਕਮਾਤ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਤੇ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨ ਕਤਹੂ ਧਾਇਓ ॥
Gur Bachanaath Kamaath Kirapaa Thae Bahur N Kathehoo Dhhaaeiou ||
गुर बचनाति कमात क्रिपा ते बहुरि न कतहू धाइओ ॥
Practicing the Guru's Word, by His Grace, I do not wander anywhere anymore.
ਰਹਤ ਉਪਾਧਿ ਸਮਾਧਿ ਸੁਖ ਆਸਨ ਭਗਤਿ ਵਛਲੁ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਪਾਇਓ ॥੧॥
Rehath Oupaadhh Samaadhh Sukh Aasan Bhagath Vashhal Grihi Paaeiou ||1||
रहत उपाधि समाधि सुख आसन भगति वछलु ग्रिहि पाइओ ॥१॥
The illusion has been dispelled; I am in Samaadhi, Sukh-aasan, the position of peace. I have found the Lord, the Lover of His devotees, within the home of my own heart. ||1||
ਨਾਦ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਕੋਡ ਆਨੰਦਾ ਸਹਜੇ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਇਓ ॥
Naadh Binodh Kodd Aanandhaa Sehajae Sehaj Samaaeiou ||
नाद बिनोद कोड आनंदा सहजे सहजि समाइओ ॥
| The Sound-current of the Naad, playful joys and pleasures - I am intuitively, easily absorbed into the Celestial Lord.
ਕਰਨਾ ਆਪਿ ਕਰਾਵਨ ਆਪੇ ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਪਿ ਆਪਾਇਓ ॥੨॥੩੦॥੫੩॥
