Shhoddahu Kapatt Hoe Niravairaa So Prabh Sang Nihaarae ||
छोडहु कपटु होइ निरवैरा सो प्रभु संगि निहारे ॥
Abandon your deception, and go beyond vengeance; see God who is always with you.
ਸਚੁ ਧਨੁ ਵਣਜਹੁ ਸਚੁ ਧਨੁ ਸੰਚਹੁ ਕਬਹੂ ਨ ਆਵਹੁ ਹਾਰੇ ॥੧॥
Sach Dhhan Vanajahu Sach Dhhan Sanchahu Kabehoo N Aavahu Haarae ||1||
सचु धनु वणजहु सचु धनु संचहु कबहू न आवहु हारे ॥१॥
Deal only in this true wealth and gather in this true wealth, and you shall never suffer loss. ||1||
ਖਾਤ ਖਰਚਤ ਕਿਛੁ ਨਿਖੁਟਤ ਨਾਹੀ ਅਗਨਤ ਭਰੇ ਭੰਡਾਰੇ ॥
Khaath Kharachath Kishh Nikhuttath Naahee Aganath Bharae Bhanddaarae ||
खात खरचत किछु निखुटत नाही अगनत भरे भंडारे ॥
Eating and consuming it, it is never exhausted; God's treasures are overflowing.

प्रभ जी मोहि कवनु अनाथु बिचारा ॥
O Dear God, I am wretched and helpless!
ਕਵਨ ਮੂਲ ਤੇ ਮਾਨੁਖੁ ਕਰਿਆ ਇਹੁ ਪਰਤਾਪੁ ਤੁਹਾਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

कवन मूल ते मानुखु करिआ इहु परतापु तुहारा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

जीअ प्राण सरब के दाते गुण कहे न जाहि अपारा ॥
You are the Giver of the soul and the breath of life to all; Your Infinite Glories cannot be spoken.

सभ के प्रीतम स्रब प्रतिपालक सरब घटां आधारा ॥१॥
You are the Beloved Lord of all, the Cherisher of all, the Support of all hearts. ||1||
ਕੋਇ ਨ ਜਾਣੈ ਤੁਮਰੀ ਗਤਿ ਮਿਤਿ ਆਪਹਿ ਏਕ ਪਸਾਰਾ ॥
Koe N Jaanai Thumaree Gath Mith Aapehi Eaek Pasaaraa ||
कोइ न जाणै तुमरी गति मिति आपहि एक पसारा ॥
No one knows Your state and extent. You alone created the expanse of the Universe.

Please, give me a seat in the boat of the Holy; O Nanak, thus I shall cross over this terrifying world-ocean, and reach the other shore. ||2||58||81||

आवै राम सरणि वडभागी ॥
One who comes to the Lord's Sanctuary is very fortunate.
ਏਕਸ ਬਿਨੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਹੋਰੁ ਨ ਜਾਣੈ ਅਵਰਿ ਉਪਾਵ ਤਿਆਗੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Eaekas Bin Kishh Hor N Jaanai Avar Oupaav Thiaagee ||1|| Rehaao ||
एकस बिनु किछु होरु न जाणै अवरि उपाव तिआगी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
He knows of no other than the One Lord. He has renounced all other efforts. ||1||Pause||
ਮਨ ਬਚ ਕ੍ਰਮ ਆਰਾਧੈ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
Man Bach Kram Aaraadhhai Har Har Saadhhasang Sukh Paaeiaa ||
मन बच क्रम आराधै हरि हरि साधसंगि सुखु पाइआ ॥
He worships and adores the Lord, Har, Har, in thought, word and deed; in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, he finds peace.
ਅਨਦ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਅਕਥ ਕਥਾ ਰਸੁ ਸਾਚੈ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
Anadh Binodh Akathh Kathhaa Ras Saachai Sehaj Samaaeiaa ||1||
अनद बिनोद अकथ कथा रसु साचै सहजि समाइआ ॥१॥
He enjoys bliss and pleasure, and savors the Unspoken Speech of the Lord; he merges intuitively into the True Lord. ||1||
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਜੋ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਕੀਨੋ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਊਤਮ ਬਾਣੀ ॥
Kar Kirapaa Jo Apunaa Keeno Thaa Kee Ootham Baanee ||
करि किरपा जो अपुना कीनो ता की ऊतम बाणी ॥
Sublime and exalted is the speech of one whom the Lord, in His Mercy makes His Own.
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਿਸਤਰੀਐ ਜੋ ਰਾਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨਿਰਬਾਣੀ ॥੨॥੫੯॥੮੨॥
Saadhhasang Naanak Nisathareeai Jo Raathae Prabh Nirabaanee ||2||59||82||
साधसंगि नानक निसतरीऐ जो राते प्रभ निरबाणी ॥२॥५९॥८२॥
Those who are imbued with God in the state of Nirvaanaa, O Nanak, are emancipated in the Saadh Sangat. ||2||59||82||

Since I grasped hold of the Sanctuary of the Holy,
ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸਹਜੁ ਮਨਿ ਭਇਓ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸਾ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਕਛੁ ਨ ਰਹੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Saanth Sehaj Man Bhaeiou Pragaasaa Birathhaa Kashh N Rehee ||1|| Rehaao ||
सांति सहजु मनि भइओ प्रगासा बिरथा कछु न रही ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
My mind is illuminated with tranquility, peace and poise, and I am rid of all my pain. ||1||Pause||
ਹੋਹੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੇਹੁ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਬਿਨਤੀ ਏਹ ਕਹੀ ॥

होहु क्रिपाल नामु देहु अपुना बिनती एह कही ॥
Please be merciful to me, O Lord, and bless me with Your Name; this is the prayer I offer to You.
ਆਨ ਬਿਉਹਾਰ ਬਿਸਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਪਾਇਓ ਲਾਭੁ ਸਹੀ ॥੧॥
Aan Biouhaar Bisarae Prabh Simarath Paaeiou Laabh Sehee ||1||
आन बिउहार बिसरे प्रभ सिमरत पाइओ लाभु सही ॥१॥
I have forgotten my other occupations; remembering God in meditation, I have obtained the true profit. ||1||
ਜਹ ਤੇ ਉਪਜਿਓ ਤਹੀ ਸਮਾਨੋ ਸਾਈ ਬਸਤੁ ਅਹੀ ॥
Jeh Thae Oupajiou Thehee Samaano Saaee Basath Ahee ||
जह ते उपजिओ तही समानो साई बसतु अही ॥
We shall merge again into the One from whom we came; He is the Essence of Being.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਭਰਮੁ ਗੁਰਿ ਖੋਇਓ ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਮਹੀ ॥੨॥੬੦॥੮੩॥

कहु नानक भरमु गुरि खोइओ जोती जोति समही ॥२॥६०॥८३॥
Says Nanak, the Guru has eradicated my doubt; my light has merged into the Light. ||2||60||83||

ਆਨ ਸੁਆਦ ਬਿਸਾਰਿ ਸਗਲੇ ਭਲੋ ਨਾਮ ਸੁਆਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Aan Suaadh Bisaar Sagalae Bhalo Naam Suaao ||1|| Rehaao ||
आन सुआद बिसारि सगले भलो नाम सुआउ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Abandon all other tastes and flavors; the taste of the Naam, the Name of the Lord, is so sublime. ||1||Pause||
ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਬਸਾਇ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਏਕ ਸਿਉ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਉ ॥

चरन कमल बसाइ हिरदै एक सिउ लिव लाउ ॥
Enshrine the Lord's Lotus Feet within your heart; let yourself be lovingly attuned to the One Lord.
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਹੋਹਿ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਜੋਨਿ ਨ ਆਉ ॥੧॥
Saadhhasangath Hohi Niramal Bahurr Jon N Aao ||1||
साधसंगति होहि निरमलु बहुड़ि जोनि न आउ ॥१॥
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, you shall become immaculate and pure; you shall not come to be reincarnated again. ||1||
ਜੀਉ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਅਧਾਰੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਤੂ ਨਿਥਾਵੇ ਥਾਉ ॥
Jeeo Praan Adhhaar Thaeraa Thoo Nithhaavae Thhaao ||
जीउ प्रान अधारु तेरा तू निथावे थाउ ॥
You are the Support of the soul and the breath of life; You are the Home of the homeless.
ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਸਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਉ ॥੨॥੬੧॥੮੪॥
Saas Saas Samhaal Har Har Naanak Sadh Bal Jaao ||2||61||84||
सासि सासि सम्हालि हरि हरि नानक सद बलि जाउ ॥२॥६१॥८४॥
With each and every breath, I dwell on the Lord, Har, Har; O Nanak, I am forever a sacrifice to Him. ||2||61||84||

To meditate on the Lotus Feet of the Lord of the Universe is heaven for me.
ਮੁਕਤਿ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

मुकति पदारथु साधू संगति अम्रितु हरि का नाउ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

ਊਤਮ ਕਥਾ ਸੁਣੀਜੈ ਸ੍ਰਵਣੀ ਮਇਆ ਕਰਹੁ ਭਗਵਾਨ ॥

ऊतम कथा सुणीजै स्रवणी मइआ करहु भगवान ॥
O Lord God, please be kind to me, that I may hear with my ears Your Sublime and Exalted Sermon.

आवत जात दोऊ पख पूरन पाईऐ सुख बिस्राम ॥१॥
My cycle of coming and going is finally completed, and I have attained peace and tranquility. ||1||
