अम्रित नामु सुआमी तेरा जो पीवै तिस ही त्रिपतास ॥
Your Name is Ambrosial Nectar, O my Lord and Master. Whoever drinks it in is satisfied.
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਨਾਸਹਿ ਆਗੈ ਦਰਗਹ ਹੋਇ ਖਲਾਸ ॥੧॥
Janam Janam Kae Kilabikh Naasehi Aagai Dharageh Hoe Khalaas ||1||
जनम जनम के किलबिख नासहि आगै दरगह होइ खलास ॥१॥
The sins of countless incarnations are erased, and hereafter, he shall be saved and redeemed in the Court of the Lord. ||1||

मन कहा लुभाईऐ आन कउ ॥
O my mind, why are you lured away by otherness?
ਈਤ ਊਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਦਾ ਸਹਾਈ ਜੀਅ ਸੰਗਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਕਾਮ ਕਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

अम्रित नामु प्रिअ प्रीति मनोहर इहै अघावन पांन कउ ॥
The Name of your Beloved Lover, the Fascinating Lord, is Ambrosial Nectar. Drinking it in, you shall find satisfaction.
ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਹੈ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੀ ਠਾਹਰ ਨੀਕੀ ਧਿਆਨ ਕਉ ॥੧॥
Akaal Moorath Hai Saadhh Santhan Kee Thaahar Neekee Dhhiaan Ko ||1||
अकाल मूरति है साध संतन की ठाहर नीकी धिआन कउ ॥१॥
The Being of Immortal Manifestation is found in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. Meditate on Him in that most sublime place. ||1||
ਬਾਣੀ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਮਹਾ ਪੁਰਖਨ ਕੀ ਮਨਹਿ ਉਤਾਰਨ ਮਾਂਨ ਕਉ ॥

O my mind, sing forever the Songs of Joy of the Lord of the Universe.
ਰੋਗ ਸੋਗ ਤੇਰੇ ਮਿਟਹਿ ਸਗਲ ਅਘ ਨਿਮਖ ਹੀਐ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Rog Sog Thaerae Mittehi Sagal Agh Nimakh Heeai Har Naam Dhhiaae ||1|| Rehaao ||
रोग सोग तेरे मिटहि सगल अघ निमख हीऐ हरि नामु धिआइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
All your disease, sorrow and sin will be erased, if you meditate on the Lord's Name, even for an instant. ||1||Pause||
ਛੋਡਿ ਸਿਆਨਪ ਬਹੁ ਚਤੁਰਾਈ ਸਾਧੂ ਸਰਣੀ ਜਾਇ ਪਾਇ ॥
Shhodd Siaanap Bahu Chathuraaee Saadhhoo Saranee Jaae Paae ||
छोडि सिआनप बहु चतुराई साधू सरणी जाइ पाइ ॥
Abandon all your clever tricks; go and enter the Sanctuary of the Holy.
ਜਉ ਹੋਇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਦੀਨ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨ ਜਮ ਤੇ ਹੋਵੈ ਧਰਮ ਰਾਇ ॥੧॥
Jo Hoe Kirapaal Dheen Dhukh Bhanjan Jam Thae Hovai Dhharam Raae ||1||
जउ होइ क्रिपालु दीन दुख भंजन जम ते होवै धरम राइ ॥१॥
When the Lord, the Destroyer of the pains of the poor becomes merciful, the Messenger of Death is changed into the Righteous Judge of Dharma. ||1||
ਏਕਸ ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਕੋ ਦੂਜਾ ਆਨ ਨ ਬੀਓ ਲਵੈ ਲਾਇ ॥
Eaekas Bin Naahee Ko Dhoojaa Aan N Beeou Lavai Laae ||
एकस बिनु नाही को दूजा आन न बीओ लवै लाइ ॥
Without the One Lord, there is no other at all. No one else can equal Him.

हरि जन सगल उधारे संग के ॥
The Lord's humble servant saves those who accompany him.
ਭਏ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਮਨ ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਦੁਖ ਹਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Bheae Puneeth Pavithr Man Janam Janam Kae Dhukh Harae ||1|| Rehaao ||
भए पुनीत पवित्र मन जनम जनम के दुख हरे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Their minds are sanctified and rendered pure, and they are rid of the pains of countless incarnations. ||1||Pause||
ਮਾਰਗਿ ਚਲੇ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਸਿਉ ਗੋਸਟਿ ਸੇ ਤਰੇ ॥
Maarag Chalae Thinhee Sukh Paaeiaa Jinh Sio Gosatt Sae Tharae ||
मारगि चले तिन्ही सुखु पाइआ जिन्ह सिउ गोसटि से तरे ॥
Those who walk on the path find peace; they are saved, along with those who speak with them.
ਬੂਡਤ ਘੋਰ ਅੰਧ ਕੂਪ ਮਹਿ ਤੇ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਪਾਰਿ ਪਰੇ ॥੧॥
Booddath Ghor Andhh Koop Mehi Thae Saadhhoo Sang Paar Parae ||1||
बूडत घोर अंध कूप महि ते साधू संगि पारि परे ॥१॥
Even those who are drowning in the horrible, deep dark pit are carried across in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||1||
ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਭਾਗ ਬਡੇ ਹੈ ਭਾਈ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਮੁਖ ਜੁਰੇ ॥
Jinh Kae Bhaag Baddae Hai Bhaaee Thinh Saadhhoo Sang Mukh Jurae ||
जिन्ह के भाग बडे है भाई तिन्ह साधू संगि मुख जुरे ॥
Those who have such high destiny turn their faces toward the Saadh Sangat.

तिन्ह की धूरि बांछै नित नानकु प्रभु मेरा किरपा करे ॥२॥३॥२२॥
Nanak longs for the dust of their feet; O God, please shower Your Mercy on me! ||2||3||22||

The humble servant of the Lord meditates on the Lord, Raam, Raam, Raam.
ਏਕ ਪਲਕ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਧ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਕੋਟਿ ਬੈਕੁੰਠਹ ਪਾਂਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Eaek Palak Sukh Saadhh Samaagam Kott Baikuntheh Paaneae ||1|| Rehaao ||
एक पलक सुख साध समागम कोटि बैकुंठह पांए ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
One who enjoys peace in the Company of the Holy, even for an instant, obtains millions of heavenly paradises. ||1||Pause||
ਦੁਲਭ ਦੇਹ ਜਪਿ ਹੋਤ ਪੁਨੀਤਾ ਜਮ ਕੀ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਨਿਵਾਰੈ ॥
Dhulabh Dhaeh Jap Hoth Puneethaa Jam Kee Thraas Nivaarai ||
दुलभ देह जपि होत पुनीता जम की त्रास निवारै ॥
This human body, so difficult to obtain, is sanctified by meditating on the Lord. It takes away the fear of death.
ਮਹਾ ਪਤਿਤ ਕੇ ਪਾਤਿਕ ਉਤਰਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰੈ ॥੧॥
Mehaa Pathith Kae Paathik Outharehi Har Naamaa Our Dhhaarai ||1||
महा पतित के पातिक उतरहि हरि नामा उरि धारै ॥१॥
Even the sins of terrible sinners are washed away, by cherishing the Lord's Name within the heart. ||1||
ਜੋ ਜੋ ਸੁਨੈ ਰਾਮ ਜਸੁ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਦੁਖੁ ਨਾਸਾ ॥
Jo Jo Sunai Raam Jas Niramal Thaa Kaa Janam Maran Dhukh Naasaa ||
जो जो सुनै राम जसु निरमल ता का जनम मरण दुखु नासा ॥
Whoever listens to the Immaculate Praises of the Lord - his pains of birth and death are dispelled.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਪਾਈਐ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਮਨ ਤਨ ਹੋਇ ਬਿਗਾਸਾ ॥੨॥੪॥੨੩॥
Kahu Naanak Paaeeai Vaddabhaaganaee Man Than Hoe Bigaasaa ||2||4||23||
कहु नानक पाईऐ वडभागीं मन तन होइ बिगासा ॥२॥४॥२३॥
Says Nanak, the Lord is found by great good fortune, and then the mind and body blossom forth. ||2||4||23||
