Those Saints who know You, O Lord and Master - blessed and approved is their coming into the world.

तुम समरथ कारन करना तूटी तुम ही जोरी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

जनम जनम के बिखई तुम तारे सुमति संगि तुमारै पाई ॥
You save us from the corruption and sins of countless incarnations; associating with You, we obtain sublime understanding.

अनिक जोनि भ्रमते प्रभ बिसरत सासि सासि हरि गाई ॥१॥
Forgetting God, we wandered through countless incarnations; with each and every breath, we sing the Lord's Praises. ||1||
ਜੋ ਜੋ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਲੇ ਸਾਧੂ ਕੈ ਤੇ ਤੇ ਪਤਿਤ ਪੁਨੀਤਾ ॥

जो जो संगि मिले साधू कै ते ते पतित पुनीता ॥
Whoever meets with the Holy Saints - those sinners are sanctified.

संतसंगि रंग तुम कीए अपना आपु द्रिसटाइओ ॥१॥
O Lord, You celebrate in the Society of the Saints; You reveal Yourself to them. ||1||

नैनहु संगि संतन की सेवा चरन झारी केसाइओ ॥
With my eyes I see the Saints, and dedicate myself to serving them; I wash their feet with my hair.

आठ पहर दरसनु संतन का सुखु नानक इहु पाइओ ॥२॥४३॥६६॥
Twenty-four hours a day, I gaze upon the Blessed Vision, the Darshan of the Saints; this is the peace and comfort which Nanak has received. ||2||43||66||

Sajan Suridhaa Suhaelaa Sehajae So Keheeai Baddabhaagee ||1|| Rehaao ||
सजनु सुरिदा सुहेला सहजे सो कहीऐ बडभागी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Is a good-hearted friend, intuitively embellished with happiness. He is said to be blessed and fortunate. ||1||Pause||
ਰਹਿਤ ਬਿਕਾਰ ਅਲਪ ਮਾਇਆ ਤੇ ਅਹੰਬੁਧਿ ਬਿਖੁ ਤਿਆਗੀ ॥
Rehith Bikaar Alap Maaeiaa Thae Ahanbudhh Bikh Thiaagee ||
रहित बिकार अलप माइआ ते अह्मबुधि बिखु तिआगी ॥
He is rid of sin and corruption, and detached from Maya; he has renounced the poison of egotistical intellect.
ਦਰਸ ਪਿਆਸ ਆਸ ਏਕਹਿ ਕੀ ਟੇਕ ਹੀਐਂ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਪਾਗੀ ॥੧॥
Dharas Piaas Aas Eaekehi Kee Ttaek Heeain Pria Paagee ||1||
दरस पिआस आस एकहि की टेक हीऐं प्रिअ पागी ॥१॥
He thirsts for the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan, and he places his hopes in the One Lord alone. The Feet of his Beloved are the Support of his heart. ||1||
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਸੋਇ ਜਾਗਨੁ ਉਠਿ ਬੈਸਨੁ ਅਚਿੰਤ ਹਸਤ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ॥
Achinth Soe Jaagan Outh Baisan Achinth Hasath Bairaagee ||
अचिंत सोइ जागनु उठि बैसनु अचिंत हसत बैरागी ॥
He sleeps, wakes, rises up and sits down without anxiety; he laughs and cries without anxiety.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਨਿ ਜਗਤੁ ਠਗਾਨਾ ਸੁ ਮਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਠਾਗੀ ॥੨॥੪੪॥੬੭॥

कहु नानक जिनि जगतु ठगाना सु माइआ हरि जन ठागी ॥२॥४४॥६७॥
Says Nanak, she who has cheated the world - that Maya is cheated by the humble servant of the Lord. ||2||44||67||

ਪੂਕਾਰਨ ਕਉ ਜੋ ਉਦਮੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਤਾ ਕਉ ਮਾਰੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Pookaaran Ko Jo Oudham Karathaa Gur Paramaesar Thaa Ko Maarai ||1|| Rehaao ||
पूकारन कउ जो उदमु करता गुरु परमेसरु ता कउ मारै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Whoever tries to complain is destroyed by the Guru, the Transcendent Lord God. ||1||Pause||
ਨਿਰਵੈਰੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਵੈਰੁ ਰਚਾਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਓਹੁ ਹਾਰੈ ॥
Niravairai Sang Vair Rachaavai Har Dharageh Ouhu Haarai ||
निरवैरै संगि वैरु रचावै हरि दरगह ओहु हारै ॥
Whoever harbors vengeance against the One who is beyond all vengenace, shall lose in the Court of the Lord.
ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਪੈਜ ਸਵਾਰੈ ॥੧॥
Aadh Jugaadh Prabh Kee Vaddiaaee Jan Kee Paij Savaarai ||1||
आदि जुगादि प्रभ की वडिआई जन की पैज सवारै ॥१॥
From the very beginning of time, and throughout the ages, it is the glorious greatness of God, that He preserves the honor of His humble servants. ||1||
ਨਿਰਭਉ ਭਏ ਸਗਲ ਭਉ ਮਿਟਿਆ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਆਧਾਰੈ ॥
Nirabho Bheae Sagal Bho Mittiaa Charan Kamal Aadhhaarai ||
निरभउ भए सगल भउ मिटिआ चरन कमल आधारै ॥
The mortal becomes fearless, and all his fears are taken away, when he leans on the Support of the Lord's Lotus Feet.
ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਬਚਨਿ ਜਪਿਓ ਨਾਉ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਭਇਓ ਸੰਸਾਰੈ ॥੨॥੪੫॥੬੮॥
Gur Kai Bachan Japiou Naao Naanak Pragatt Bhaeiou Sansaarai ||2||45||68||
गुर कै बचनि जपिओ नाउ नानक प्रगट भइओ संसारै ॥२॥४५॥६८॥
Chanting the Name, through the Guru's Word, Nanak has become famous throughout the world. ||2||45||68||

The Lord's humble servant has discarded all self-conceit.
ਜਿਉ ਜਾਨਹੁ ਤਿਉ ਰਖਹੁ ਗੁਸਾਈ ਪੇਖਿ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਪਰਤਾਪੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Jio Jaanahu Thio Rakhahu Gusaaee Paekh Jeevaan Parathaap ||1|| Rehaao ||
जिउ जानहु तिउ रखहु गुसाई पेखि जीवां परतापु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
As You see fit, You save us, O Lord of the World. Beholding Your Glorious Grandeur, I live. ||1||Pause||

गुर उपदेसि साध की संगति बिनसिओ सगल संतापु ॥
Through the Guru's Instruction, and the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, all sorrow and suffering is taken away.
ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਤ੍ਰ ਪੇਖਿ ਸਮਤੁ ਬੀਚਾਰਿਓ ਸਗਲ ਸੰਭਾਖਨ ਜਾਪੁ ॥੧॥

मित्र सत्र पेखि समतु बीचारिओ सगल स्मभाखन जापु ॥१॥
I look upon friend and enemy alike; all that I speak is the Lord's meditation. ||1||
ਤਪਤਿ ਬੁਝੀ ਸੀਤਲ ਆਘਾਨੇ ਸੁਨਿ ਅਨਹਦ ਬਿਸਮ ਭਏ ਬਿਸਮਾਦ ॥
Thapath Bujhee Seethal Aaghaanae Sun Anehadh Bisam Bheae Bisamaadh ||
तपति बुझी सीतल आघाने सुनि अनहद बिसम भए बिसमाद ॥
The fire within me is quenched; I am cool, calm and tranquil. Hearing the unstruck celestial melody, I am wonder-struck and amazed.
