Jo Gur Ko Jan Poojae Saevae So Jan Maerae Har Prabh Bhaavai ||
जो गुर कउ जनु पूजे सेवे सो जनु मेरे हरि प्रभ भावै ॥
That humble being who worships, adores and serves the Guru is pleasing to my Lord God.
ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਜਹੁ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਆਪਿ ਤਰਾਵੈ ॥੨॥
Har Kee Saevaa Sathigur Poojahu Kar Kirapaa Aap Tharaavai ||2||
हरि की सेवा सतिगुरु पूजहु करि किरपा आपि तरावै ॥२॥
To worship and adore the True Guru is to serve the Lord. In His Mercy, He saves us and carries us across. ||2||
ਭਰਮਿ ਭੂਲੇ ਅਗਿਆਨੀ ਅੰਧੁਲੇ ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਫੂਲ ਤੋਰਾਵੈ ॥
Bharam Bhoolae Agiaanee Andhhulae Bhram Bhram Fool Thoraavai ||
भरमि भूले अगिआनी अंधुले भ्रमि भ्रमि फूल तोरावै ॥
The ignorant and the blind wander deluded by doubt; deluded and confused, they pick flowers to offer to their idols.
ਨਿਰਜੀਉ ਪੂਜਹਿ ਮੜਾ ਸਰੇਵਹਿ ਸਭ ਬਿਰਥੀ ਘਾਲ ਗਵਾਵੈ ॥੩॥
Nirajeeo Poojehi Marraa Saraevehi Sabh Birathhee Ghaal Gavaavai ||3||
निरजीउ पूजहि मड़ा सरेवहि सभ बिरथी घाल गवावै ॥३॥
They worship lifeless stones and serve the tombs of the dead; all their efforts are useless. ||3||
ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਬਿੰਦੇ ਸੋ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਕਹੀਐ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਸੁਣਾਵੈ ॥
Breham Bindhae So Sathigur Keheeai Har Har Kathhaa Sunaavai ||
ब्रहमु बिंदे सो सतिगुरु कहीऐ हरि हरि कथा सुणावै ॥
He alone is said to be the True Guru, who realizes God, and proclaims the Sermon of the Lord, Har, Har.
ਤਿਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਕਉ ਛਾਦਨ ਭੋਜਨ ਪਾਟ ਪਟੰਬਰ ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਸਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਮੁਖਿ ਸੰਚਹੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਪੁੰਨ ਕੀ ਫਿਰਿ ਤੋਟਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥੪॥
This Gur Ko Shhaadhan Bhojan Paatt Pattanbar Bahu Bidhh Sath Kar Mukh Sanchahu This Punn Kee Fir Thott N Aavai ||4||
तिसु गुर कउ छादन भोजन पाट पट्मबर बहु बिधि सति करि मुखि संचहु तिसु पुंन की फिरि तोटि न आवै ॥४॥
Offer the Guru sacred foods, clothes, silk and satin robes of all sorts; know that He is True. The merits of this shall never leave you lacking. ||4||
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਦੇਉ ਪਰਤਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਜੋ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣਾਵੈ ॥
Sathigur Dhaeo Parathakh Har Moorath Jo Anmrith Bachan Sunaavai ||
सतिगुरु देउ परतखि हरि मूरति जो अम्रित बचन सुणावै ॥
The Divine True Guru is the Embodiment, the Image of the Lord; He utters the Ambrosial Word.
ਨਾਨਕ ਭਾਗ ਭਲੇ ਤਿਸੁ ਜਨ ਕੇ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਵੈ ॥੫॥੪॥

नानक भाग भले तिसु जन के जो हरि चरणी चितु लावै ॥५॥४॥
O Nanak, blessed and good is the destiny of that humble being, who focuses his consciousness on the Feet of the Lord. ||5||4||

Jinh Kai Heearai Basiou Maeraa Sathigur Thae Santh Bhalae Bhal Bhaanth ||
जिन्ह कै हीअरै बसिओ मेरा सतिगुरु ते संत भले भल भांति ॥
Those whose hearts are filled with my True Guru - those Saints are good and noble in every way.

तिन्ह देखे मेरा मनु बिगसै हउ तिन कै सद बलि जांत ॥१॥
Seeing them, my mind blossoms forth in bliss; I am forever a sacrifice to them. ||1||

गिआनी हरि बोलहु दिनु राति ॥

Thinh Kee Thrisanaa Bhookh Sabh Outharee Jo Guramath Raam Ras Khaanth ||1|| Rehaao ||
तिन्ह की त्रिसना भूख सभ उतरी जो गुरमति राम रसु खांति ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
All hunger and thirst are satisfied, for those who partake of the sublime essence of the Lord, through the Guru's Teachings. ||1||Pause||
ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਦਾਸ ਸਾਧ ਸਖਾ ਜਨ ਜਿਨ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਲਹਿ ਜਾਇ ਭਰਾਂਤਿ ॥
Har Kae Dhaas Saadhh Sakhaa Jan Jin Miliaa Lehi Jaae Bharaanth ||
हरि के दास साध सखा जन जिन मिलिआ लहि जाइ भरांति ॥
The slaves of the Lord are our Holy companions. Meeting with them, doubt is taken away.
ਜਿਉ ਜਲ ਦੁਧ ਭਿੰਨ ਭਿੰਨ ਕਾਢੈ ਚੁਣਿ ਹੰਸੁਲਾ ਤਿਉ ਦੇਹੀ ਤੇ ਚੁਣਿ ਕਾਢੈ ਸਾਧੂ ਹਉਮੈ ਤਾਤਿ ॥੨॥
Jio Jal Dhudhh Bhinn Bhinn Kaadtai Chun Hansulaa Thio Dhaehee Thae Chun Kaadtai Saadhhoo Houmai Thaath ||2||
जिउ जल दुध भिंन भिंन काढै चुणि हंसुला तिउ देही ते चुणि काढै साधू हउमै ताति ॥२॥
As the swan separates the milk from the water, the Holy Saint removes the fire of egotism from the body. ||2||
ਜਿਨ ਕੈ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਹਰਿ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਤੇ ਕਪਟੀ ਨਰ ਨਿਤ ਕਪਟੁ ਕਮਾਂਤਿ ॥
Jin Kai Preeth Naahee Har Hiradhai Thae Kapattee Nar Nith Kapatt Kamaanth ||
जिन कै प्रीति नाही हरि हिरदै ते कपटी नर नित कपटु कमांति ॥
Those who do not love the Lord in their hearts are deceitful; they continually practice deception.
ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਕਿਆ ਕੋਈ ਦੇਇ ਖਵਾਲੈ ਓਇ ਆਪਿ ਬੀਜਿ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਖਾਂਤਿ ॥੩॥
Thin Ko Kiaa Koee Dhaee Khavaalai Oue Aap Beej Aapae Hee Khaanth ||3||
तिन कउ किआ कोई देइ खवालै ओइ आपि बीजि आपे ही खांति ॥३॥
What can anyone give them to eat? Whatever they themselves plant, they must eat. ||3||
ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਚਿਹਨੁ ਸੋਈ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਕਾ ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਜਨ ਮਹਿ ਆਪੁ ਰਖਾਂਤਿ ॥
Har Kaa Chihan Soee Har Jan Kaa Har Aapae Jan Mehi Aap Rakhaanth ||
हरि का चिहनु सोई हरि जन का हरि आपे जन महि आपु रखांति ॥
This is the Quality of the Lord, and of the Lord's humble servants as well; the Lord places His Own Essence within them.
ਧਨੁ ਧੰਨੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਸਮਦਰਸੀ ਜਿਨਿ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਤਰੀ ਤਰਾਂਤਿ ॥੪॥੫॥
Dhhan Dhhann Guroo Naanak Samadharasee Jin Nindhaa Ousathath Tharee Tharaanth ||4||5||
धनु धंनु गुरू नानकु समदरसी जिनि निंदा उसतति तरी तरांति ॥४॥५॥
Blessed, blessed, is Guru Nanak, who looks impartially on all; He crosses over and transcends both slander and praise. ||4||5||

Agam Agochar Naam Har Ootham Har Kirapaa Thae Jap Laeiaa ||
अगमु अगोचरु नामु हरि ऊतमु हरि किरपा ते जपि लइआ ॥
The Name of the Lord is inaccessible unfathomable exalted and sublime. It is chanted by the Lord's Grace.
ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਸਾਧ ਪਾਈ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਪਾਰਿ ਪਇਆ ॥੧॥
Sathasangath Saadhh Paaee Vaddabhaagee Sang Saadhhoo Paar Paeiaa ||1||
सतसंगति साध पाई वडभागी संगि साधू पारि पइआ ॥१॥
By great good fortune, I have found the True Congregation, and in the Company of the Holy, I am carried across. ||1||
ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਅਨਦੁ ਭਇਆ ॥
Maerai Man Anadhin Anadh Bhaeiaa ||
मेरै मनि अनदिनु अनदु भइआ ॥
My mind is in ecstasy, night and day.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿਆ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਕਾ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਭਉ ਗਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Gur Parasaadh Naam Har Japiaa Maerae Man Kaa Bhram Bho Gaeiaa ||1|| Rehaao ||
गुर परसादि नामु हरि जपिआ मेरे मन का भ्रमु भउ गइआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
By Guru's Grace, I chant the Name of the Lord. Doubt and fear are gone from my mind. ||1||Pause||
ਜਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਗਾਇਆ ਜਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿਆ ਤਿਨ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਹੁ ਕਰਿ ਮਇਆ ॥
Jin Har Gaaeiaa Jin Har Japiaa Thin Sangath Har Maelahu Kar Maeiaa ||
जिन हरि गाइआ जिन हरि जपिआ तिन संगति हरि मेलहु करि मइआ ॥
Those who chant and meditate on the Lord - O Lord, in Your Mercy, please unite me with them.
ਤਿਨ ਕਾ ਦਰਸੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਦੁਖੁ ਹਉਮੈ ਰੋਗੁ ਗਇਆ ॥੨॥
Thin Kaa Dharas Dhaekh Sukh Paaeiaa Dhukh Houmai Rog Gaeiaa ||2||
तिन का दरसु देखि सुखु पाइआ दुखु हउमै रोगु गइआ ॥२॥
Gazing upon them, I am at peace; the pain and disease of egotism are gone. ||2||
ਜੋ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵਹਿ ਸਭੁ ਜਨਮੁ ਤਿਨਾ ਕਾ ਸਫਲੁ ਭਇਆ ॥
Jo Anadhin Hiradhai Naam Dhhiaavehi Sabh Janam Thinaa Kaa Safal Bhaeiaa ||
जो अनदिनु हिरदै नामु धिआवहि सभु जनमु तिना का सफलु भइआ ॥
Those who meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord in their hearts - their lives become totally fruitful.
ਓਇ ਆਪਿ ਤਰੇ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਸਭ ਤਾਰੀ ਸਭੁ ਕੁਲੁ ਭੀ ਪਾਰਿ ਪਇਆ ॥੩॥
Oue Aap Tharae Srisatt Sabh Thaaree Sabh Kul Bhee Paar Paeiaa ||3||
ओइ आपि तरे स्रिसटि सभ तारी सभु कुलु भी पारि पइआ ॥३॥
They themselves swim across, and carry the world across with them. Their ancestors and family cross over as well. ||3||
ਤੁਧੁ ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਉਪਾਇਆ ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਤੁਧੁ ਆਪੇ ਵਸਿ ਕਰਿ ਲਇਆ ॥
Thudhh Aapae Aap Oupaaeiaa Sabh Jag Thudhh Aapae Vas Kar Laeiaa ||
तुधु आपे आपि उपाइआ सभु जगु तुधु आपे वसि करि लइआ ॥
You Yourself created the whole world, and You Yourself keep it under Your control.
