अपुने सतिगुर पहि बिनउ कहिआ ॥
I offer my prayer to my True Guru.
ਭਏ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਦਇਆਲ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਗਲ ਅੰਦੇਸਰਾ ਗਇਆ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Bheae Kirapaal Dhaeiaal Dhukh Bhanjan Maeraa Sagal Andhaesaraa Gaeiaa || Rehaao ||
भए क्रिपाल दइआल दुख भंजन मेरा सगल अंदेसरा गइआ ॥ रहाउ ॥
The Destroyer of distress has become kind and merciful, and all my anxiety is over. ||Pause||
ਹਮ ਪਾਪੀ ਪਾਖੰਡੀ ਲੋਭੀ ਹਮਰਾ ਗੁਨੁ ਅਵਗੁਨੁ ਸਭੁ ਸਹਿਆ ॥
Ham Paapee Paakhanddee Lobhee Hamaraa Gun Avagun Sabh Sehiaa ||
हम पापी पाखंडी लोभी हमरा गुनु अवगुनु सभु सहिआ ॥
I am a sinner, hypocritical and greedy, but still, He puts up with all of my merits and demerits.
ਕਰੁ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਧਾਰਿ ਸਾਜਿ ਨਿਵਾਜੇ ਮੁਏ ਦੁਸਟ ਜੋ ਖਇਆ ॥੧॥
Kar Masathak Dhhaar Saaj Nivaajae Mueae Dhusatt Jo Khaeiaa ||1||
करु मसतकि धारि साजि निवाजे मुए दुसट जो खइआ ॥१॥
Placing His hand on my forehead, He has exalted me. The wicked ones who wanted to destroy me have been killed. ||1||
ਪਰਉਪਕਾਰੀ ਸਰਬ ਸਧਾਰੀ ਸਫਲ ਦਰਸਨ ਸਹਜਇਆ ॥
Paroupakaaree Sarab Sadhhaaree Safal Dharasan Sehajaeiaa ||
परउपकारी सरब सधारी सफल दरसन सहजइआ ॥
He is generous and benevolent, the beautifier of all, the embodiment of peace; the Blessed Vision of His Darshan is so fruitful!

कहु नानक निरगुण कउ दाता चरण कमल उर धरिआ ॥२॥२४॥
Says Nanak, He is the Giver to the unworthy; I enshrine His Lotus Feet within my heart. ||2||24||

अनाथ नाथ प्रभ हमारे ॥
My God is the Master of the masterless.
ਸਰਨਿ ਆਇਓ ਰਾਖਨਹਾਰੇ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Saran Aaeiou Raakhanehaarae || Rehaao ||
सरनि आइओ राखनहारे ॥ रहाउ ॥
I have come to the Sanctuary of the Savior Lord. ||Pause||
ਸਰਬ ਪਾਖ ਰਾਖੁ ਮੁਰਾਰੇ ॥
Sarab Paakh Raakh Muraarae ||
सरब पाख राखु मुरारे ॥
Protect me on all sides, O Lord;
ਆਗੈ ਪਾਛੈ ਅੰਤੀ ਵਾਰੇ ॥੧॥
Aagai Paashhai Anthee Vaarae ||1||
आगै पाछै अंती वारे ॥१॥
Protect me in the future, in the past, and at the very last moment. ||1||
ਜਬ ਚਿਤਵਉ ਤਬ ਤੁਹਾਰੇ ॥
Jab Chithavo Thab Thuhaarae ||
जब चितवउ तब तुहारे ॥
Whenever something comes to mind, it is You.
ਉਨ ਸਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਸਧਾਰੇ ॥੨॥

उन सम्हारि मेरा मनु सधारे ॥२॥
Contemplating Your virtues, my mind is sanctified. ||2||
ਸੁਨਿ ਗਾਵਉ ਗੁਰ ਬਚਨਾਰੇ ॥
Sun Gaavo Gur Bachanaarae ||
सुनि गावउ गुर बचनारे ॥
I hear and sing the Hymns of the Guru's Word.
ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਉ ਸਾਧ ਦਰਸਾਰੇ ॥੩॥
Bal Bal Jaao Saadhh Dharasaarae ||3||
बलि बलि जाउ साध दरसारे ॥३॥
I am a sacrifice, a sacrifice to the Blessed Vision of the Darshan of the Holy. ||3||
ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਰਾਖਉ ਏਕ ਅਸਾਰੇ ॥
Man Mehi Raakho Eaek Asaarae ||
मन महि राखउ एक असारे ॥
Within my mind, I have the Support of the One Lord alone.
ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ਕਰਨੈਹਾਰੇ ॥੪॥੨੫॥

नानक प्रभ मेरे करनैहारे ॥४॥२५॥

Kirapaa Nidhhaan Dhaeiaal Mohi Dheejai Kar Santhan Kaa Chaeraa || Rehaao ||
क्रिपा निधान दइआल मोहि दीजै करि संतन का चेरा ॥ रहाउ ॥
O treasure of kindness, O Merciful Lord, please make me the slave of your Saints. ||Pause||
ਪ੍ਰਾਤਹਕਾਲ ਲਾਗਉ ਜਨ ਚਰਨੀ ਨਿਸ ਬਾਸੁਰ ਦਰਸੁ ਪਾਵਉ ॥
Praathehakaal Laago Jan Charanee Nis Baasur Dharas Paavo ||
प्रातहकाल लागउ जन चरनी निस बासुर दरसु पावउ ॥
In the early hours of the morning, I fall at the feet of Your humble servants; night and day, I obtain the Blessed Vision of their Darshan.
ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਅਰਪਿ ਕਰਉ ਜਨ ਸੇਵਾ ਰਸਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਉ ॥੧॥
Than Man Arap Karo Jan Saevaa Rasanaa Har Gun Gaavo ||1||
तनु मनु अरपि करउ जन सेवा रसना हरि गुन गावउ ॥१॥
Dedicating my body and mind, I serve the humble servant of the Lord; with my tongue, I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||1||
ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਸਿਮਰਉ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਸੰਤਸੰਗਿ ਨਿਤ ਰਹੀਐ ॥
Saas Saas Simaro Prabh Apunaa Santhasang Nith Reheeai ||
सासि सासि सिमरउ प्रभु अपुना संतसंगि नित रहीऐ ॥
With each and every breath, I meditate in remembrance on my God; I live continually in the Society of the Saints.
ਏਕੁ ਅਧਾਰੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਨੁ ਮੋਰਾ ਅਨਦੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਇਹੁ ਲਹੀਐ ॥੨॥੨੬॥

एकु अधारु नामु धनु मोरा अनदु नानक इहु लहीऐ ॥२॥२६॥
The Naam, the Name of the Lord, is my only support and wealth; O Nanak, from this, I obtain bliss. ||2||26||

मीता ऐसे हरि जीउ पाए ॥
O friend, such is the Dear Lord whom I have obtained.
ਛੋਡਿ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਸੰਗੇ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਗਾਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Shhodd N Jaaee Sadh Hee Sangae Anadhin Gur Mil Gaaeae ||1|| Rehaao ||
छोडि न जाई सद ही संगे अनदिनु गुर मिलि गाए ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
He does not leave me, and He always keeps me company. Meeting the Guru, night and day, I sing His Praises. ||1||Pause||
ਮਿਲਿਓ ਮਨੋਹਰੁ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖੈਨਾ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਨ ਕਤਹੂ ਜਾਏ ॥
Miliou Manohar Sarab Sukhainaa Thiaag N Kathehoo Jaaeae ||
मिलिओ मनोहरु सरब सुखैना तिआगि न कतहू जाए ॥
I met the Fascinating Lord, who has blessed me with all comforts; He does not leave me to go anywhere else.
ਅਨਿਕ ਅਨਿਕ ਭਾਤਿ ਬਹੁ ਪੇਖੇ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਰੋਮ ਨ ਸਮਸਰਿ ਲਾਏ ॥੧॥

अनिक अनिक भाति बहु पेखे प्रिअ रोम न समसरि लाए ॥१॥
I have seen the mortals of many and various types, but they are not equal to even a hair of my Beloved. ||1||
ਮੰਦਰਿ ਭਾਗੁ ਸੋਭ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਅਨਹਤ ਰੁਣੁ ਝੁਣੁ ਲਾਏ ॥
Mandhar Bhaag Sobh Dhuaarai Anehath Run Jhun Laaeae ||
मंदरि भागु सोभ दुआरै अनहत रुणु झुणु लाए ॥
His palace is so beautiful! His gate is so wonderful! The celestial melody of the sound current resounds there.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦਾ ਰੰਗੁ ਮਾਣੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਥੀਤੇ ਸਦ ਥਾਏ ॥੨॥੧॥੨੭॥

कहु नानक सदा रंगु माणे ग्रिह प्रिअ थीते सद थाए ॥२॥१॥२७॥
Says Nanak, I enjoy eternal bliss; I have obtained a permanent place in the home of my Beloved. ||2||1||27||

ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਆਇਓ ਹੈ ਸਗਲ ਥਾਨ ਰੇ ਆਹਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਸੰਤ ਪਾਛੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Bhram Aaeiou Hai Sagal Thhaan Rae Aahi Pariou Santh Paashhai ||1|| Rehaao ||
भ्रमि आइओ है सगल थान रे आहि परिओ संत पाछै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
I have wandered everywhere, and now I have come to follow the Saint. ||1||Pause||
ਕਿਸੁ ਹਉ ਸੇਵੀ ਕਿਸੁ ਆਰਾਧੀ ਜੋ ਦਿਸਟੈ ਸੋ ਗਾਛੈ ॥
Kis Ho Saevee Kis Aaraadhhee Jo Dhisattai So Gaashhai ||
किसु हउ सेवी किसु आराधी जो दिसटै सो गाछै ॥
Whom should I serve? Whom should I worship in adoration? Whoever I see shall pass away.
