Aap Shhodd Saevaa Karee Pir Sacharraa Milai Sehaj Subhaaeae ||
आपु छोडि सेवा करी पिरु सचड़ा मिलै सहजि सुभाए ॥
Renouncing ego, I serve them; thus I meet my True Husband Lord, with intuitive ease.
ਪਿਰੁ ਸਚਾ ਮਿਲੈ ਆਏ ਸਾਚੁ ਕਮਾਏ ਸਾਚਿ ਸਬਦਿ ਧਨ ਰਾਤੀ ॥
Pir Sachaa Milai Aaeae Saach Kamaaeae Saach Sabadh Dhhan Raathee ||
पिरु सचा मिलै आए साचु कमाए साचि सबदि धन राती ॥
The True Husband Lord comes to meet the soul-bride who practices Truth, and is imbued with the True Word of the Shabad.
ਕਦੇ ਨ ਰਾਂਡ ਸਦਾ ਸੋਹਾਗਣਿ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਹਜ ਸਮਾਧੀ ॥
Kadhae N Raandd Sadhaa Sohaagan Anthar Sehaj Samaadhhee ||
कदे न रांड सदा सोहागणि अंतरि सहज समाधी ॥
She shall never become a widow; she shall always be a happy bride. Deep within herself, she dwells in the celestial bliss of Samaadhi.

पिरु रहिआ भरपूरे वेखु हदूरे रंगु माणे सहजि सुभाए ॥
Her Husband Lord is fully pervading everywhere; beholding Him ever-present, she enjoys His Love, with intuitive ease.

Sathigur Sadhaa Dhaeiaal Hai Avagun Sabadh Jalaaeae ||
सतिगुरु सदा दइआलु है अवगुण सबदि जलाए ॥
The True Guru is forever merciful; through the Word of His Shabad, demerits are burnt away.
ਅਉਗੁਣ ਸਬਦਿ ਜਲਾਏ ਦੂਜਾ ਭਾਉ ਗਵਾਏ ਸਚੇ ਹੀ ਸਚਿ ਰਾਤੀ ॥
Aougun Sabadh Jalaaeae Dhoojaa Bhaao Gavaaeae Sachae Hee Sach Raathee ||
अउगुण सबदि जलाए दूजा भाउ गवाए सचे ही सचि राती ॥
Burning away her demerits through the Shabad, the soul-bride eradicates her love of duality, and remains absorbed in the True, True Lord.
ਸਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਉਮੈ ਗਈ ਭਰਾਤੀ ॥

सचै सबदि सदा सुखु पाइआ हउमै गई भराती ॥

रोवै कंत समालि सदा गुण सारि ना पिरु मरै न जाए ॥
She weeps, thinking of her Husband Lord, and she cherishes His virtues; her Husband Lord does not die, and does not leave.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਾਤਾ ਸਬਦਿ ਪਛਾਤਾ ਸਾਚੈ ਪ੍ਰੇਮਿ ਸਮਾਏ ॥
Guramukh Jaathaa Sabadh Pashhaathaa Saachai Praem Samaaeae ||
गुरमुखि जाता सबदि पछाता साचै प्रेमि समाए ॥
As Gurmukh, she knows the Lord; through the Word of His Shabad, He is realized; through True Love, she merges with Him.
ਜਿਨਿ ਅਪਣਾ ਪਿਰੁ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਤਾ ਕਰਮ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ਕੂੜਿ ਮੁਠੀ ਕੂੜਿਆਰੇ ॥

जिनि अपणा पिरु नही जाता करम बिधाता कूड़ि मुठी कूड़िआरे ॥
She who does not know her Husband Lord, the Architect of karma, is deluded by falsehood - she herself is false.

ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹੁ ਖੁਆਇਅਨੁ ਮਰਿ ਜੰਮੈ ਵਾਰੋ ਵਾਰਾ ॥
Maaeiaa Mohu Khuaaeian Mar Janmai Vaaro Vaaraa ||
माइआ मोहु खुआइअनु मरि जमै वारो वारा ॥
The love of Maya has ruined the world; people die, to be re-born, over and over again.
ਮਰਿ ਜੰਮੈ ਵਾਰੋ ਵਾਰਾ ਵਧਹਿ ਬਿਕਾਰਾ ਗਿਆਨ ਵਿਹੂਣੀ ਮੂਠੀ ॥
Mar Janmai Vaaro Vaaraa Vadhhehi Bikaaraa Giaan Vihoonee Moothee ||
मरि जमै वारो वारा वधहि बिकारा गिआन विहूणी मूठी ॥
People die to be re-born, over and over again, while their sins increase; without spiritual wisdom, they are deluded.
ਬਿਨੁ ਸਬਦੈ ਪਿਰੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਓ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਇਓ ਰੋਵੈ ਅਵਗੁਣਿਆਰੀ ਝੂਠੀ ॥
Bin Sabadhai Pir N Paaeiou Janam Gavaaeiou Rovai Avaguniaaree Jhoothee ||
बिनु सबदै पिरु न पाइओ जनमु गवाइओ रोवै अवगुणिआरी झूठी ॥
Without the Word of the Shabad, the Husband Lord is not found; the worthless, false bride wastes her life away, weeping and wailing.
ਪਿਰੁ ਜਗਜੀਵਨੁ ਕਿਸ ਨੋ ਰੋਈਐ ਰੋਵੈ ਕੰਤੁ ਵਿਸਾਰੇ ॥
Pir Jagajeevan Kis No Roeeai Rovai Kanth Visaarae ||
पिरु जगजीवनु किस नो रोईऐ रोवै कंतु विसारे ॥
He is my Beloved Husband Lord, the Life of the World - for whom should I weep? They alone weep, who forget their Husband Lord.

Bhoolee Firai Dhhan Eiaaneeaa Randd Baithee Dhoojai Bhaaeae ||
भूली फिरै धन इआणीआ रंड बैठी दूजै भाए ॥
The ignorant soul-bride wanders in delusion; in the love of duality, she sits like a widow.
ਰੰਡ ਬੈਠੀ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਏ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹਿ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਏ ਆਵ ਘਟੈ ਤਨੁ ਛੀਜੈ ॥
Randd Baithee Dhoojai Bhaaeae Maaeiaa Mohi Dhukh Paaeae Aav Ghattai Than Shheejai ||
रंड बैठी दूजै भाए माइआ मोहि दुखु पाए आव घटै तनु छीजै ॥
She sits like a widow, in the love of duality; through emotional attachment to Maya, she suffers in pain. She is growing old, and her body is withering away.
ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਆਇਆ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਜਾਸੀ ਦੁਖੁ ਲਾਗਾ ਭਾਇ ਦੂਜੈ ॥
Jo Kishh Aaeiaa Sabh Kishh Jaasee Dhukh Laagaa Bhaae Dhoojai ||
जो किछु आइआ सभु किछु जासी दुखु लागा भाइ दूजै ॥
Whatever has come, all that shall pass away; through the love of duality, they suffer in pain.
ਜਮਕਾਲੁ ਨ ਸੂਝੈ ਮਾਇਆ ਜਗੁ ਲੂਝੈ ਲਬਿ ਲੋਭਿ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਏ ॥
Jamakaal N Soojhai Maaeiaa Jag Loojhai Lab Lobh Chith Laaeae ||
जमकालु न सूझै माइआ जगु लूझै लबि लोभि चितु लाए ॥
They do not see the Messenger of Death; they long for Maya, and their consciousness is attached to greed.
ਸੋ ਪਿਰੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਸਾਚਾ ਨਾ ਓਹੁ ਮਰੈ ਨ ਜਾਏ ॥੩॥

सो पिरु साचा सद ही साचा ना ओहु मरै न जाए ॥३॥
That Husband Lord is True, forever True; He does not die, and He does not leave. ||3||
ਇਕਿ ਰੋਵਹਿ ਪਿਰਹਿ ਵਿਛੁੰਨੀਆ ਅੰਧੀ ਨਾ ਜਾਣੈ ਪਿਰੁ ਨਾਲੇ ॥
Eik Rovehi Pirehi Vishhunneeaa Andhhee Naa Jaanai Pir Naalae ||
इकि रोवहि पिरहि विछुंनीआ अंधी ना जाणै पिरु नाले ॥
Some weep and wail, separated from their Husband Lord; the blind ones do not know that their Husband is with them.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਸਾਚਾ ਪਿਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਦਾ ਸਮਾਲੇ ॥
Gur Parasaadhee Saachaa Pir Milai Anthar Sadhaa Samaalae ||
गुर परसादी साचा पिरु मिलै अंतरि सदा समाले ॥
By Guru's Grace, they may meet with their True Husband, and cherish Him always deep within.
ਪਿਰੁ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਮਾਲੇ ਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਨਾਲੇ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਜਾਤਾ ਦੂਰੇ ॥
Pir Anthar Samaalae Sadhaa Hai Naalae Manamukh Jaathaa Dhoorae ||
पिरु अंतरि समाले सदा है नाले मनमुखि जाता दूरे ॥
She cherishes her Husband deep within herself - He is always with her; the self-willed manmukhs think that He is far away.
ਇਹੁ ਤਨੁ ਰੁਲੈ ਰੁਲਾਇਆ ਕਾਮਿ ਨ ਆਇਆ ਜਿਨਿ ਖਸਮੁ ਨ ਜਾਤਾ ਹਦੂਰੇ ॥
Eihu Than Rulai Rulaaeiaa Kaam N Aaeiaa Jin Khasam N Jaathaa Hadhoorae ||
इहु तनु रुलै रुलाइआ कामि न आइआ जिनि खसमु न जाता हदूरे ॥
This body rolls in the dust, and is totally useless; it does not realize the Presence of the Lord and Master.
