ਪਿਰੁ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਰਪੂਰੇ ਵੇਖੁ ਹਜੂਰੇ ਜੁਗਿ ਜੁਗਿ ਏਕੋ ਜਾਤਾ ॥
Pir Rav Rehiaa Bharapoorae Vaekh Hajoorae Jug Jug Eaeko Jaathaa ||
पिरु रवि रहिआ भरपूरे वेखु हजूरे जुगि जुगि एको जाता ॥
The Lord is all-pervading everywhere; behold Him ever-present. Throughout the ages, know Him as the One.
ਧਨ ਬਾਲੀ ਭੋਲੀ ਪਿਰੁ ਸਹਜਿ ਰਾਵੈ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਕਰਮ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ॥
Dhhan Baalee Bholee Pir Sehaj Raavai Miliaa Karam Bidhhaathaa ||
धन बाली भोली पिरु सहजि रावै मिलिआ करम बिधाता ॥
The young, innocent bride enjoys her Husband Lord; she meets Him, the Architect of karma.
ਜਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਚਾਖਿਆ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੁਭਾਖਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਸਰਿ ਰਹੀ ਭਰਪੂਰੇ ॥
Jin Har Ras Chaakhiaa Sabadh Subhaakhiaa Har Sar Rehee Bharapoorae ||
जिनि हरि रसु चाखिआ सबदि सुभाखिआ हरि सरि रही भरपूरे ॥
One who tastes the sublime essence of the Lord, and utters the sublime Word of the Shabad, remains immersed in the Lord's Ambrosial Pool.
ਨਾਨਕ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਸਾ ਪਿਰ ਭਾਵੈ ਸਬਦੇ ਰਹੈ ਹਦੂਰੇ ॥੨॥
Naanak Kaaman Saa Pir Bhaavai Sabadhae Rehai Hadhoorae ||2||
नानक कामणि सा पिर भावै सबदे रहै हदूरे ॥२॥
O Nanak, that soul bride is pleasing to her Husband Lord, who, through the Shabad, remains in His Presence. ||2||
ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਜਾਇ ਪੂਛਹੁ ਮੁਈਏ ਜਿਨੀ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥
Sohaaganee Jaae Pooshhahu Mueeeae Jinee Vichahu Aap Gavaaeiaa ||
सोहागणी जाइ पूछहु मुईए जिनी विचहु आपु गवाइआ ॥
Go and ask the happy soul-brides, O mortal bride, who have eradicated their self-conceit from within.
ਪਿਰ ਕਾ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਓ ਮੁਈਏ ਜਿਨੀ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਆਪੁ ਨ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥
Pir Kaa Hukam N Paaeiou Mueeeae Jinee Vichahu Aap N Gavaaeiaa ||
पिर का हुकमु न पाइओ मुईए जिनी विचहु आपु न गवाइआ ॥
Those who have not eradicated their self-conceit, O mortal bride, do not realize the Hukam of their Husband Lord's Command.
ਜਿਨੀ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ਤਿਨੀ ਪਿਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਰੰਗ ਸਿਉ ਰਲੀਆ ਮਾਣੈ ॥
Jinee Aap Gavaaeiaa Thinee Pir Paaeiaa Rang Sio Raleeaa Maanai ||
जिनी आपु गवाइआ तिनी पिरु पाइआ रंग सिउ रलीआ माणै ॥
Those who eradicate their self-conceit, obtain their Husband Lord; they delight in His Love.
ਸਦਾ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੀ ਸਹਜੇ ਮਾਤੀ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਖਾਣੈ ॥
Sadhaa Rang Raathee Sehajae Maathee Anadhin Naam Vakhaanai ||
सदा रंगि राती सहजे माती अनदिनु नामु वखाणै ॥
Ever imbued with His Love, in perfect poise and grace, she repeats His Name, night and day.
ਕਾਮਣਿ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੀ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੁ ਸੁਭਾਇਆ ॥
Kaaman Vaddabhaagee Anthar Liv Laagee Har Kaa Praem Subhaaeiaa ||
कामणि वडभागी अंतरि लिव लागी हरि का प्रेमु सुभाइआ ॥
Very fortunate is that bride, who focuses her consciousness on Him; her Lord's Love is so sweet to her.
ਨਾਨਕ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਸਹਜੇ ਰਾਤੀ ਜਿਨਿ ਸਚੁ ਸੀਗਾਰੁ ਬਣਾਇਆ ॥੩॥
Naanak Kaaman Sehajae Raathee Jin Sach Seegaar Banaaeiaa ||3||
नानक कामणि सहजे राती जिनि सचु सीगारु बणाइआ ॥३॥
O Nanak, that soul-bride who is adorned with Truth, is imbued with her Lord's Love, in the state of perfect poise. ||3||
ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਰਿ ਮੁਈਏ ਤੂ ਚਲੁ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਭਾਏ ॥
Houmai Maar Mueeeae Thoo Chal Gur Kai Bhaaeae ||
हउमै मारि मुईए तू चलु गुर कै भाए ॥
Overcome your egotism, O mortal bride, and walk in the Guru's Way.
ਹਰਿ ਵਰੁ ਰਾਵਹਿ ਸਦਾ ਮੁਈਏ ਨਿਜ ਘਰਿ ਵਾਸਾ ਪਾਏ ॥
Har Var Raavehi Sadhaa Mueeeae Nij Ghar Vaasaa Paaeae ||
हरि वरु रावहि सदा मुईए निज घरि वासा पाए ॥
Thus you shall ever enjoy your Husband Lord, O mortal bride, and obtain an abode in the home of your own inner being.
ਨਿਜ ਘਰਿ ਵਾਸਾ ਪਾਏ ਸਬਦੁ ਵਜਾਏ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਹਾਗਣਿ ਨਾਰੀ ॥
Nij Ghar Vaasaa Paaeae Sabadh Vajaaeae Sadhaa Suhaagan Naaree ||
निज घरि वासा पाए सबदु वजाए सदा सुहागणि नारी ॥
Obtaining an abode in the home of her inner being, she vibrates the Word of the Shabad, and is a happy soul-bride forever.
ਪਿਰੁ ਰਲੀਆਲਾ ਜੋਬਨੁ ਬਾਲਾ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਕੰਤਿ ਸਵਾਰੀ ॥
Pir Raleeaalaa Joban Baalaa Anadhin Kanth Savaaree ||
पिरु रलीआला जोबनु बाला अनदिनु कंति सवारी ॥
The Husband Lord is delightful, and forever young; night and day, He embellishes His bride.
ਹਰਿ ਵਰੁ ਸੋਹਾਗੋ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਭਾਗੋ ਸਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੁਹਾਏ ॥
Har Var Sohaago Masathak Bhaago Sachai Sabadh Suhaaeae ||
हरि वरु सोहागो मसतकि भागो सचै सबदि सुहाए ॥
Her Husband Lord activates the destiny written on her forehead, and she is adorned with the True Shabad.
ਨਾਨਕ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੀ ਜਾ ਚਲੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਭਾਏ ॥੪॥੧॥

नानक कामणि हरि रंगि राती जा चलै सतिगुर भाए ॥४॥१॥
O Nanak, the soul-bride is imbued with the Love of the Lord, when she walks according to the Will of the True Guru. ||4||1||

Guramukh Sabh Vaapaar Bhalaa Jae Sehajae Keejai Raam ||
गुरमुखि सभु वापारु भला जे सहजे कीजै राम ॥
All dealings of the Gurmukh are good, if they are accomplished with poise and grace.
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਖਾਣੀਐ ਲਾਹਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਪੀਜੈ ਰਾਮ ॥
Anadhin Naam Vakhaaneeai Laahaa Har Ras Peejai Raam ||
अनदिनु नामु वखाणीऐ लाहा हरि रसु पीजै राम ॥
Night and day, he repeats the Naam, the Name of the Lord, and he earns his profits, drinking in the subtle essence of the Lord.
ਲਾਹਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਲੀਜੈ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਵੀਜੈ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਖਾਣੈ ॥
Laahaa Har Ras Leejai Har Raaveejai Anadhin Naam Vakhaanai ||
लाहा हरि रसु लीजै हरि रावीजै अनदिनु नामु वखाणै ॥
He earns the profit of the subtle essence of the Lord, meditating on the Lord, and repeating the Naam, night and day.
ਗੁਣ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਅਵਗਣ ਵਿਕਣਹਿ ਆਪੈ ਆਪੁ ਪਛਾਣੈ ॥
Gun Sangrehi Avagan Vikanehi Aapai Aap Pashhaanai ||
गुण संग्रहि अवगण विकणहि आपै आपु पछाणै ॥
He gathers in merits, and eliminates demerits, and realizes his own self.
ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਪਾਈ ਵਡੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਸਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਰਸੁ ਪੀਜੈ ॥
Guramath Paaee Vaddee Vaddiaaee Sachai Sabadh Ras Peejai ||
गुरमति पाई वडी वडिआई सचै सबदि रसु पीजै ॥
Under Guru's Instruction, he is blessed with glorious greatness; he drinks in the essence of the True Word of the Shabad.
ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਨਿਰਾਲੀ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਵਿਰਲੈ ਕੀਜੈ ॥੧॥

नानक हरि की भगति निराली गुरमुखि विरलै कीजै ॥१॥
O Nanak, devotional worship of the Lord is wonderful, but only a few Gurmukhs perform it. ||1||
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਖੇਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬੀਜੀਐ ਹਰਿ ਲੀਜੈ ਸਰੀਰਿ ਜਮਾਏ ਰਾਮ ॥
Guramukh Khaethee Har Anthar Beejeeai Har Leejai Sareer Jamaaeae Raam ||
गुरमुखि खेती हरि अंतरि बीजीऐ हरि लीजै सरीरि जमाए राम ॥
As Gurmukh, plant the crop of the Lord within the field of your body, and let it grow.
ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਭੁੰਚੁ ਤੂ ਲਾਹਾ ਲੈ ਪਰਥਾਏ ਰਾਮ ॥
Aapanae Ghar Andhar Ras Bhunch Thoo Laahaa Lai Parathhaaeae Raam ||
आपणे घर अंदरि रसु भुंचु तू लाहा लै परथाए राम ॥
Within the home of your own being, enjoy the Lord's subtle essence, and earn profits in the world hereafter.
ਲਾਹਾ ਪਰਥਾਏ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਏ ਧਨੁ ਖੇਤੀ ਵਾਪਾਰਾ ॥
Laahaa Parathhaaeae Har Mann Vasaaeae Dhhan Khaethee Vaapaaraa ||
लाहा परथाए हरि मंनि वसाए धनु खेती वापारा ॥
This profit is earned by enshrining the Lord within your mind; blessed is this farming and trade.
ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਏ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਏ ਬੂਝੈ ਗੁਰ ਬੀਚਾਰਾ ॥
Har Naam Dhhiaaeae Mann Vasaaeae Boojhai Gur Beechaaraa ||
हरि नामु धिआए मंनि वसाए बूझै गुर बीचारा ॥
Meditating on the Lord's Name, and enshrining Him within your mind, you shall come to understand the Guru's Teachings.
ਮਨਮੁਖ ਖੇਤੀ ਵਣਜੁ ਕਰਿ ਥਾਕੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਭੁਖ ਨ ਜਾਏ ॥
Manamukh Khaethee Vanaj Kar Thhaakae Thrisanaa Bhukh N Jaaeae ||
मनमुख खेती वणजु करि थाके त्रिसना भुख न जाए ॥
The self-willed manmukhs have grown weary of this farming and trade; their hunger and thirst will not go away.
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਬੀਜਿ ਮਨ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਸਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੁਭਾਏ ॥੨॥
Naanak Naam Beej Man Andhar Sachai Sabadh Subhaaeae ||2||
नानक नामु बीजि मन अंदरि सचै सबदि सुभाए ॥२॥
O Nanak, plant the seed of the Name within your mind, and adorn yourself with the True Word of the Shabad. ||2||
ਹਰਿ ਵਾਪਾਰਿ ਸੇ ਜਨ ਲਾਗੇ ਜਿਨਾ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਮਣੀ ਵਡਭਾਗੋ ਰਾਮ ॥
Har Vaapaar Sae Jan Laagae Jinaa Masathak Manee Vaddabhaago Raam ||
हरि वापारि से जन लागे जिना मसतकि मणी वडभागो राम ॥
Those humble beings engage in the Lord's Trade, who have the jewel of such pre-ordained destiny upon their foreheads.
ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਮਨੁ ਨਿਜ ਘਰਿ ਵਸਿਆ ਸਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਬੈਰਾਗੋ ਰਾਮ ॥
Guramathee Man Nij Ghar Vasiaa Sachai Sabadh Bairaago Raam ||
गुरमती मनु निज घरि वसिआ सचै सबदि बैरागो राम ॥
Under Guru's Instruction, the soul dwells in the home of the self; through the True Word of the Shabad, she becomes unattached.
ਮੁਖਿ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਭਾਗੋ ਸਚਿ ਬੈਰਾਗੋ ਸਾਚਿ ਰਤੇ ਵੀਚਾਰੀ ॥
Mukh Masathak Bhaago Sach Bairaago Saach Rathae Veechaaree ||
मुखि मसतकि भागो सचि बैरागो साचि रते वीचारी ॥
By the destiny written upon their foreheads, they become truly unattached, and by reflective meditation, they are imbued with Truth.
ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਬਉਰਾਨਾ ਸਬਦੇ ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਰੀ ॥
Naam Binaa Sabh Jag Bouraanaa Sabadhae Houmai Maaree ||
नाम बिना सभु जगु बउराना सबदे हउमै मारी ॥
Without the Naam, the Name of the Lord, the whole world is insane; through the Shabad, the ego is conquered.
ਸਾਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਲਾਗਿ ਮਤਿ ਉਪਜੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੋਹਾਗੋ ॥
Saachai Sabadh Laag Math Oupajai Guramukh Naam Sohaago ||
साचै सबदि लागि मति उपजै गुरमुखि नामु सोहागो ॥
Attached to the True Word of the Shabad, wisdom comes forth. The Gurmukh obtains the Naam, the Name of the Husband Lord.
