कउडी कउडी जोरत कपटे अनिक जुगति करि धाइओ ॥
Shell by shell, you accumulate money; in various ways, you work for this.
ਬਿਸਰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇਤੇ ਦੁਖ ਗਨੀਅਹਿ ਮਹਾ ਮੋਹਨੀ ਖਾਇਓ ॥੧॥

बिसरत प्रभ केते दुख गनीअहि महा मोहनी खाइओ ॥१॥
Forgetting God, you suffer awful pain beyond measure, and you are consumed by the Great Enticer, Maya. ||1||
