Ja Raaj Dhaehi Th Kavan Baddaaee ||
जौ राजु देहि त कवन बडाई ॥
If You gave me an empire, then what glory would be in it for me?
ਜੌ ਭੀਖ ਮੰਗਾਵਹਿ ਤ ਕਿਆ ਘਟਿ ਜਾਈ ॥੧॥
Ja Bheekh Mangaavehi Th Kiaa Ghatt Jaaee ||1||
जौ भीख मंगावहि त किआ घटि जाई ॥१॥
If You made me beg for charity, what would it take away from me? ||1||
ਤੂੰ ਹਰਿ ਭਜੁ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਦੁ ਨਿਰਬਾਨੁ ॥
Thoon Har Bhaj Man Maerae Padh Nirabaan ||
तूं हरि भजु मन मेरे पदु निरबानु ॥
Meditate and vibrate upon the Lord, O my mind, and you shall obtain the state of Nirvaanaa.
ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨ ਹੋਇ ਤੇਰਾ ਆਵਨ ਜਾਨੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

बहुरि न होइ तेरा आवन जानु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
You shall not have to come and go in reincarnation any longer. ||1||Pause||
ਸਭ ਤੈ ਉਪਾਈ ਭਰਮ ਭੁਲਾਈ ॥
Sabh Thai Oupaaee Bharam Bhulaaee ||
सभ तै उपाई भरम भुलाई ॥
You created all, and You lead them astray in doubt.
ਜਿਸ ਤੂੰ ਦੇਵਹਿ ਤਿਸਹਿ ਬੁਝਾਈ ॥੨॥
Jis Thoon Dhaevehi Thisehi Bujhaaee ||2||
जिस तूं देवहि तिसहि बुझाई ॥२॥
They alone understand, unto whom You give understanding. ||2||
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਤ ਸਹਸਾ ਜਾਈ ॥

सतिगुरु मिलै त सहसा जाई ॥
Meeting the True Guru, doubt is dispelled.
ਕਿਸੁ ਹਉ ਪੂਜਉ ਦੂਜਾ ਨਦਰਿ ਨ ਆਈ ॥੩॥

किसु हउ पूजउ दूजा नदरि न आई ॥३॥
Who else should I worship? I can see no other. ||3||
ਏਕੈ ਪਾਥਰ ਕੀਜੈ ਭਾਉ ॥
Eaekai Paathhar Keejai Bhaao ||
एकै पाथर कीजै भाउ ॥
One stone is lovingly decorated,
ਦੂਜੈ ਪਾਥਰ ਧਰੀਐ ਪਾਉ ॥
Dhoojai Paathhar Dhhareeai Paao ||
दूजै पाथर धरीऐ पाउ ॥
While another stone is walked upon.
ਜੇ ਓਹੁ ਦੇਉ ਤ ਓਹੁ ਭੀ ਦੇਵਾ ॥
Jae Ouhu Dhaeo Th Ouhu Bhee Dhaevaa ||
जे ओहु देउ त ओहु भी देवा ॥
If one is a god, then the other must also be a god.
ਕਹਿ ਨਾਮਦੇਉ ਹਮ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ॥੪॥੧॥

ਮਲੈ ਨ ਲਾਛੈ ਪਾਰ ਮਲੋ ਪਰਮਲੀਓ ਬੈਠੋ ਰੀ ਆਈ ॥
Malai N Laashhai Paar Malo Paramaleeou Baitho Ree Aaee ||
मलै न लाछै पार मलो परमलीओ बैठो री आई ॥
He does not have even a trace of impurity - He is beyond impurity. He is fragrantly scented - He has come to take His Seat in my mind.
ਆਵਤ ਕਿਨੈ ਨ ਪੇਖਿਓ ਕਵਨੈ ਜਾਣੈ ਰੀ ਬਾਈ ॥੧॥

आवत किनै न पेखिओ कवनै जाणै री बाई ॥१॥
No one saw Him come - who can know Him, O Siblings of Destiny? ||1||

जिउ आकासै पंखीअलो खोजु निरखिओ न जाई ॥
As the path of a bird's flight across the sky cannot be seen,
ਜਿਉ ਜਲ ਮਾਝੈ ਮਾਛਲੋ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਪੇਖਣੋ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥੨॥
Jio Jal Maajhai Maashhalo Maarag Paekhano N Jaaee ||2||
जिउ जल माझै माछलो मारगु पेखणो न जाई ॥२॥
And the path of a fish through the water cannot be seen;||2||
ਜਿਉ ਆਕਾਸੈ ਘੜੂਅਲੋ ਮ੍ਰਿਗ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਭਰਿਆ ॥

जिउ आकासै घड़ूअलो म्रिग त्रिसना भरिआ ॥
As the mirage leads one to mistake the sky for a pitcher filled with water
ਨਾਮੇ ਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਬੀਠਲੋ ਜਿਨਿ ਤੀਨੈ ਜਰਿਆ ॥੩॥੨॥
Naamae Chae Suaamee Beethalo Jin Theenai Jariaa ||3||2||
नामे चे सुआमी बीठलो जिनि तीनै जरिआ ॥३॥२॥

The calf has contaminated the milk in the teats.
ਫੂਲੁ ਭਵਰਿ ਜਲੁ ਮੀਨਿ ਬਿਗਾਰਿਓ ॥੧॥

फूलु भवरि जलु मीनि बिगारिओ ॥१॥
The bumble bee has contaminated the flower, and the fish the water. ||1||
ਮਾਈ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਹਾ ਲੈ ਚਰਾਵਉ ॥

माई गोबिंद पूजा कहा लै चरावउ ॥
O mother, where shall I find any offering for the Lord's worship?

बिखु अम्रितु बसहि इक संगा ॥२॥
Poison and nectar dwell there together. ||2||
ਧੂਪ ਦੀਪ ਨਈਬੇਦਹਿ ਬਾਸਾ ॥
Dhhoop Dheep Neebaedhehi Baasaa ||
धूप दीप नईबेदहि बासा ॥
Even with incense, lamps, offerings of food and fragrant flowers,
ਕੈਸੇ ਪੂਜ ਕਰਹਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਦਾਸਾ ॥੩॥
Kaisae Pooj Karehi Thaeree Dhaasaa ||3||
कैसे पूज करहि तेरी दासा ॥३॥
How are Your slaves to worship You? ||3||
ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਅਰਪਉ ਪੂਜ ਚਰਾਵਉ ॥
Than Man Arapo Pooj Charaavo ||
तनु मनु अरपउ पूज चरावउ ॥
I dedicate and offer my body and mind to You.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਪਾਵਉ ॥੪॥

गुर परसादि निरंजनु पावउ ॥४॥

अंतरु मलि निरमलु नही कीना बाहरि भेख उदासी ॥
You have not cleansed the filth from within yourself, although outwardly, you wear the dress of a renunciate.
ਹਿਰਦੈ ਕਮਲੁ ਘਟਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਨ ਚੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਾ ਕਾਹੇ ਭਇਆ ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀ ॥੧॥

हिरदै कमलु घटि ब्रहमु न चीन्हा काहे भइआ संनिआसी ॥१॥
In the heart-lotus of your self, you have not recognized God - why have you become a Sannyaasee? ||1||
