ਜਾ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮੇਲੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਵਚਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਇਆ ॥
Jaa Har Prabh Bhaavai Thaa Guramukh Maelae Jinh Vachan Guroo Sathigur Man Bhaaeiaa ||
जा हरि प्रभ भावै ता गुरमुखि मेले जिन्ह वचन गुरू सतिगुर मनि भाइआ ॥
When it pleases the Lord God, he causes us to meet the Gurmukhs; the Hymns of the Guru, the True Guru, are very sweet to their minds.
ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਸਿਖ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਰਬਾਣੀ ਨਿਰਬਾਣ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੨॥
Vaddabhaagee Gur Kae Sikh Piaarae Har Nirabaanee Nirabaan Padh Paaeiaa ||2||
वडभागी गुर के सिख पिआरे हरि निरबाणी निरबाण पदु पाइआ ॥२॥
Very fortunate are the beloved Sikhs of the Guru; through the Lord, they attain the supreme state of Nirvaanaa. ||2||
ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਹਰਿ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਜਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੀਠਾ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਇਆ ॥
Sathasangath Gur Kee Har Piaaree Jin Har Har Naam Meethaa Man Bhaaeiaa ||
सतसंगति गुर की हरि पिआरी जिन हरि हरि नामु मीठा मनि भाइआ ॥
The Sat Sangat, the True Congregation of the Guru, is loved by the Lord. The Naam, the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is sweet and pleasing to their minds.
ਜਿਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਸੰਗੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ਸੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਪਾਪੀ ਜਮਿ ਖਾਇਆ ॥੩॥
Jin Sathigur Sangath Sang N Paaeiaa Sae Bhaageheen Paapee Jam Khaaeiaa ||3||
जिन सतिगुर संगति संगु न पाइआ से भागहीण पापी जमि खाइआ ॥३॥
One who does not obtain the Association of the True Guru, is a most unfortunate sinner; he is consumed by the Messenger of Death. ||3||
ਆਪਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਧਾਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ॥
Aap Kirapaal Kirapaa Prabh Dhhaarae Har Aapae Guramukh Milai Milaaeiaa ||
आपि क्रिपालु क्रिपा प्रभु धारे हरि आपे गुरमुखि मिलै मिलाइआ ॥
If God, the Kind Master, Himself shows His kindness, then the Lord causes the Gurmukh to merge into Himself.
ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਬੋਲੇ ਗੁਣ ਬਾਣੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੫॥

जनु नानकु बोले गुण बाणी गुरबाणी हरि नामि समाइआ ॥४॥५॥

Jin Sathigur Purakh Jin Har Prabh Paaeiaa Mo Ko Kar Oupadhaes Har Meeth Lagaavai ||
जिन सतिगुरु पुरखु जिनि हरि प्रभु पाइआ मो कउ करि उपदेसु हरि मीठ लगावै ॥
One who has found the Lord God through the True Guru, has made the Lord seem so sweet to me, through the His Teachings.
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਸਭ ਹਰਿਆ ਹੋਆ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵੈ ॥੧॥

मनु तनु सीतलु सभ हरिआ होआ वडभागी हरि नामु धिआवै ॥१॥
My mind and body have been cooled and soothed, and totally rejuvenated; by great good fortune, I meditate on the Name of the Lord. ||1||
ਭਾਈ ਰੇ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਕੋਈ ਆਇ ਮਿਲੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਵੈ ॥

भाई रे मो कउ कोई आइ मिलै हरि नामु द्रिड़ावै ॥
O Siblings of Destiny, let anyone who can implant the Lord's Name within me, come and meet with me.

Dhheeraj Dhharam Guramath Har Paaeiaa Nith Har Naamai Har Sio Chith Laavai ||
धीरजु धरमु गुरमति हरि पाइआ नित हरि नामै हरि सिउ चितु लावै ॥
Through the Guru's Teachings, I have obtained courage, faith and the Lord. He keeps my mind focused continually on the Lord, and the Name of the Lord.
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਚਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਜੋ ਬੋਲੈ ਸੋ ਮੁਖਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੨॥
Anmrith Bachan Sathigur Kee Baanee Jo Bolai So Mukh Anmrith Paavai ||2||
अम्रित बचन सतिगुर की बाणी जो बोलै सो मुखि अम्रितु पावै ॥२॥
The Words of the True Guru's Teachings are Ambrosial Nectar; this Amrit trickles into the mouth of the one who chants them. ||2||
ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਿਤੁ ਮੈਲੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੈ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਵੈ ॥
Niramal Naam Jith Mail N Laagai Guramath Naam Japai Liv Laavai ||
निरमलु नामु जितु मैलु न लागै गुरमति नामु जपै लिव लावै ॥
Immaculate is the Naam, which cannot be stained by filth. Through the Guru's Teachings, chant the Naam with love.
ਨਾਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਜਿਨ ਨਰ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਇਆ ਸੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਮੁਏ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਵੈ ॥੩॥
Naam Padhaarathh Jin Nar Nehee Paaeiaa Sae Bhaageheen Mueae Mar Jaavai ||3||
नामु पदारथु जिन नर नही पाइआ से भागहीण मुए मरि जावै ॥३॥
That man who has not found the wealth of the Naam is most unfortunate; he dies over and over again. ||3||
ਆਨਦ ਮੂਲੁ ਜਗਜੀਵਨ ਦਾਤਾ ਸਭ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਅਨਦੁ ਕਰਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਵੈ ॥
Aanadh Mool Jagajeevan Dhaathaa Sabh Jan Ko Anadh Karahu Har Dhhiaavai ||
आनद मूलु जगजीवन दाता सभ जन कउ अनदु करहु हरि धिआवै ॥
The source of bliss, the Life of the world, the Great Giver brings bliss to all who meditate on the Lord.
ਤੂੰ ਦਾਤਾ ਜੀਅ ਸਭਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬਖਸਿ ਮਿਲਾਵੈ ॥੪॥੬॥
Thoon Dhaathaa Jeea Sabh Thaerae Jan Naanak Guramukh Bakhas Milaavai ||4||6||
तूं दाता जीअ सभि तेरे जन नानक गुरमुखि बखसि मिलावै ॥४॥६॥
You are the Great Giver, all beings belong to You. O servant Nanak, You forgive the Gurmukhs, and merge them into Yourself. ||4||6||

Mother, father and sons are all made by the Lord;

हरि का तनु मनु सभु हरि कै वसि है सरीर ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

भगत जना कउ सरधा आपि हरि लाई ॥
The Lord Himself infuses devotion into His humble devotees.

Vichae Grisath Oudhaas Rehaaee ||2||
विचे ग्रिसत उदास रहाई ॥२॥
In the midst of family life, they remain unattached. ||2||
ਜਬ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਬਨਿ ਆਈ ॥

जब अंतरि प्रीति हरि सिउ बनि आई ॥
When inner love is established with the Lord,
ਤਬ ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਈ ॥੩॥
Thab Jo Kishh Karae S Maerae Har Prabh Bhaaee ||3||
तब जो किछु करे सु मेरे हरि प्रभ भाई ॥३॥
Then whatever one does, is pleasing to my Lord God. ||3||
ਜਿਤੁ ਕਾਰੈ ਕੰਮਿ ਹਮ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਏ ॥
Jith Kaarai Kanm Ham Har Laaeae ||
जितु कारै कमि हम हरि लाए ॥
I do those deeds and tasks which the Lord has set me to;
ਸੋ ਹਮ ਕਰਹ ਜੁ ਆਪਿ ਕਰਾਏ ॥੪॥
So Ham Kareh J Aap Karaaeae ||4||
सो हम करह जु आपि कराए ॥४॥
I do that which He makes me to do. ||4||
ਜਿਨ ਕੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਈ ॥
