ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਇਵੇਹਾ ਜੀਵਣਾ ਜਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਨ ਪਾਇ ॥
Dhhrig Eivaehaa Jeevanaa Jith Har Preeth N Paae ||
ध्रिगु इवेहा जीवणा जितु हरि प्रीति न पाइ ॥
Cursed is that life, in which the Lord's Love is not obtained.
ਜਿਤੁ ਕੰਮਿ ਹਰਿ ਵੀਸਰੈ ਦੂਜੈ ਲਗੈ ਜਾਇ ॥੧॥
Jith Kanm Har Veesarai Dhoojai Lagai Jaae ||1||
जितु कमि हरि वीसरै दूजै लगै जाइ ॥१॥
Cursed is that occupation, in which the Lord is forgotten, and one becomes attached to duality. ||1||
ਐਸਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵੀਐ ਮਨਾ ਜਿਤੁ ਸੇਵਿਐ ਗੋਵਿਦ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਊਪਜੈ ਅਵਰ ਵਿਸਰਿ ਸਭ ਜਾਇ ॥
Aisaa Sathigur Saeveeai Manaa Jith Saeviai Govidh Preeth Oopajai Avar Visar Sabh Jaae ||
ऐसा सतिगुरु सेवीऐ मना जितु सेविऐ गोविद प्रीति ऊपजै अवर विसरि सभ जाइ ॥
Serve such a True Guru, O my mind, that by serving Him, God's Love may be produced, and all others may be forgotten.
ਹਰਿ ਸੇਤੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਗਹਿ ਰਹੈ ਜਰਾ ਕਾ ਭਉ ਨ ਹੋਵਈ ਜੀਵਨ ਪਦਵੀ ਪਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Har Saethee Chith Gehi Rehai Jaraa Kaa Bho N Hovee Jeevan Padhavee Paae ||1|| Rehaao ||
हरि सेती चितु गहि रहै जरा का भउ न होवई जीवन पदवी पाइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Your consciousness shall remain attached to the Lord; there shall be no fear of old age, and the supreme status shall be obtained. ||1||Pause||
ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਸਿਉ ਇਕੁ ਸਹਜੁ ਉਪਜਿਆ ਵੇਖੁ ਜੈਸੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਬਨੀ ॥
Gobindh Preeth Sio Eik Sehaj Oupajiaa Vaekh Jaisee Bhagath Banee ||
गोबिंद प्रीति सिउ इकु सहजु उपजिआ वेखु जैसी भगति बनी ॥
A divine peace wells up from God's Love; behold, it comes from devotional worship.
ਆਪ ਸੇਤੀ ਆਪੁ ਖਾਇਆ ਤਾ ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਆ ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਮਈ ॥੨॥
Aap Saethee Aap Khaaeiaa Thaa Man Niramal Hoaa Jothee Joth Samee ||2||
आप सेती आपु खाइआ ता मनु निरमलु होआ जोती जोति समई ॥२॥
When my identity consumed my identical identity, then my mind became immaculately pure, and my light was blended with the Divine Light. ||2||
ਬਿਨੁ ਭਾਗਾ ਐਸਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ਜੇ ਲੋਚੈ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਇ ॥
Bin Bhaagaa Aisaa Sathigur N Paaeeai Jae Lochai Sabh Koe ||
बिनु भागा ऐसा सतिगुरु न पाईऐ जे लोचै सभु कोइ ॥
Without good fortune, such a True Guru cannot be found, no matter how much all may yearn for Him.
ਕੂੜੈ ਕੀ ਪਾਲਿ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਨਿਕਲੈ ਤਾ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੩॥
Koorrai Kee Paal Vichahu Nikalai Thaa Sadhaa Sukh Hoe ||3||
कूड़ै की पालि विचहु निकलै ता सदा सुखु होइ ॥३॥
If the veil of falsehood is removed from within, then lasting peace is obtained. ||3||
ਨਾਨਕ ਐਸੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਕਿਆ ਓਹੁ ਸੇਵਕੁ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਆਗੈ ਜੀਉ ਧਰੇਇ ॥
Naanak Aisae Sathigur Kee Kiaa Ouhu Saevak Saevaa Karae Gur Aagai Jeeo Dhharaee ||
नानक ऐसे सतिगुर की किआ ओहु सेवकु सेवा करे गुर आगै जीउ धरेइ ॥
O Nanak, what service can the servant perform for such a True Guru? He should offer his life, his very soul, to the Guru.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਭਾਣਾ ਚਿਤਿ ਕਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਆਪੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੇਇ ॥੪॥੧॥੩॥
Sathigur Kaa Bhaanaa Chith Karae Sathigur Aapae Kirapaa Karaee ||4||1||3||
सतिगुर का भाणा चिति करे सतिगुरु आपे क्रिपा करेइ ॥४॥१॥३॥
If he focuses his consciousness on the Will of the True Guru, then the True Guru Himself will bless him. ||4||1||3||

Goojaree, Third Mehl:
ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਤੁਮ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਹੁ ਦੂਜੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਹੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ਜੀ ॥
Har Kee Thum Saevaa Karahu Dhoojee Saevaa Karahu N Koe Jee ||
हरि की तुम सेवा करहु दूजी सेवा करहु न कोइ जी ॥
Serve the Lord; do not serve anyone else.
ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਤੇ ਮਨਹੁ ਚਿੰਦਿਆ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਦੂਜੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਾਇ ਜੀ ॥੧॥
Har Kee Saevaa Thae Manahu Chindhiaa Fal Paaeeai Dhoojee Saevaa Janam Birathhaa Jaae Jee ||1||
हरि की सेवा ते मनहु चिंदिआ फलु पाईऐ दूजी सेवा जनमु बिरथा जाइ जी ॥१॥
Serving the Lord, you shall obtain the fruits of your heart's desires; serving another, your life shall pass away in vain. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਰੀਤਿ ਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਕਥਾ ਕਹਾਨੀ ਜੀ ॥
Har Maeree Preeth Reeth Hai Har Maeree Har Maeree Kathhaa Kehaanee Jee ||
हरि मेरी प्रीति रीति है हरि मेरी हरि मेरी कथा कहानी जी ॥
The Lord is my Love, the Lord is my way of life, the Lord is my speech and conversation.
ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਭੀਜੈ ਏਹਾ ਸੇਵ ਬਨੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Gur Prasaadh Maeraa Man Bheejai Eaehaa Saev Banee Jeeo ||1|| Rehaao ||
गुर प्रसादि मेरा मनु भीजै एहा सेव बनी जीउ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
By Guru's Grace, my mind is saturated with the Lord's Love; this is what makes up my service. ||1||Pause||
ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਬੰਧਪੁ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਭਾਈ ॥
Har Maeraa Simrith Har Maeraa Saasathr Har Maeraa Bandhhap Har Maeraa Bhaaee ||
हरि मेरा सिम्रिति हरि मेरा सासत्र हरि मेरा बंधपु हरि मेरा भाई ॥
The Lord is my Simritees, the Lord is my Shaastras; the Lord is my relative and the Lord is my brother.
ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਮੈ ਭੂਖ ਲਾਗੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤੈ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਾਕੁ ਅੰਤਿ ਹੋਇ ਸਖਾਈ ॥੨॥
Har Kee Mai Bhookh Laagai Har Naam Maeraa Man Thripathai Har Maeraa Saak Anth Hoe Sakhaaee ||2||
हरि की मै भूख लागै हरि नामि मेरा मनु त्रिपतै हरि मेरा साकु अंति होइ सखाई ॥२॥
I am hungry for the Lord; my mind is satisfied with the Name of the Lord. The Lord is my relation, my helper in the end. ||2||
ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਹੋਰ ਰਾਸਿ ਕੂੜੀ ਹੈ ਚਲਦਿਆ ਨਾਲਿ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥
Har Bin Hor Raas Koorree Hai Chaladhiaa Naal N Jaaee ||
हरि बिनु होर रासि कूड़ी है चलदिआ नालि न जाई ॥
Without the Lord, other assets are false. They do not go with the mortal when he departs.
ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਧਨੁ ਮੇਰੈ ਸਾਥਿ ਚਾਲੈ ਜਹਾ ਹਉ ਜਾਉ ਤਹ ਜਾਈ ॥੩॥
Har Maeraa Dhhan Maerai Saathh Chaalai Jehaa Ho Jaao Theh Jaaee ||3||
हरि मेरा धनु मेरै साथि चालै जहा हउ जाउ तह जाई ॥३॥
The Lord is my wealth, which shall go with me; wherever I go, it will go. ||3||
ਸੋ ਝੂਠਾ ਜੋ ਝੂਠੇ ਲਾਗੈ ਝੂਠੇ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਈ ॥
So Jhoothaa Jo Jhoothae Laagai Jhoothae Karam Kamaaee ||
सो झूठा जो झूठे लागै झूठे करम कमाई ॥
One who is attached to falsehood is false; false are the deeds he does.
ਕਹੈ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਭਾਣਾ ਹੋਆ ਕਹਣਾ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥੪॥੨॥੪॥
Kehai Naanak Har Kaa Bhaanaa Hoaa Kehanaa Kashhoo N Jaaee ||4||2||4||
कहै नानकु हरि का भाणा होआ कहणा कछू न जाई ॥४॥२॥४॥
Says Nanak, everything happens according to the Will of the Lord; no one has any say in this at all. ||4||2||4||

गूजरी महला ३ ॥
Goojaree, Third Mehl:
ਜੁਗ ਮਾਹਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੁਲੰਭੁ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਇ ॥
Jug Maahi Naam Dhulanbh Hai Guramukh Paaeiaa Jaae ||
जुग माहि नामु दुल्मभु है गुरमुखि पाइआ जाइ ॥
It is so difficult to obtain the Naam, the Name of the Lord, in this age; only the Gurmukh obtains it.
ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਨ ਹੋਵਈ ਵੇਖਹੁ ਕੋ ਵਿਉਪਾਇ ॥੧॥
Bin Naavai Mukath N Hovee Vaekhahu Ko Vioupaae ||1||
बिनु नावै मुकति न होवई वेखहु को विउपाइ ॥१॥
Without the Name, no one is liberated; let anyone make other efforts, and see. ||1||
ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਗੁਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਜਾਉ ॥
Balihaaree Gur Aapanae Sadh Balihaarai Jaao ||
बलिहारी गुर आपणे सद बलिहारै जाउ ॥
I am a sacrifice to my Guru; I am forever a sacrifice to Him.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿਐ ਹਰਿ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਸਹਜੇ ਰਹੈ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Sathigur Miliai Har Man Vasai Sehajae Rehai Samaae ||1|| Rehaao ||
सतिगुर मिलिऐ हरि मनि वसै सहजे रहै समाइ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Meeting the True Guru, the Lord comes to dwell in the mind, and one remains absorbed in Him. ||1||Pause||
ਜਾਂ ਭਉ ਪਾਏ ਆਪਣਾ ਬੈਰਾਗੁ ਉਪਜੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥
Jaan Bho Paaeae Aapanaa Bairaag Oupajai Man Aae ||
जां भउ पाए आपणा बैरागु उपजै मनि आइ ॥
When God instills His fear, a balanced detachment springs up in the mind.
ਬੈਰਾਗੈ ਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਈਐ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਰਹੈ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੨॥
Bairaagai Thae Har Paaeeai Har Sio Rehai Samaae ||2||
बैरागै ते हरि पाईऐ हरि सिउ रहै समाइ ॥२॥
Through this detachment, the Lord is obtained, and one remains absorbed in the Lord. ||2||
ਸੇਇ ਮੁਕਤ ਜਿ ਮਨੁ ਜਿਣਹਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਧਾਤੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਆਇ ॥
Saee Mukath J Man Jinehi Fir Dhhaath N Laagai Aae ||
सेइ मुकत जि मनु जिणहि फिरि धातु न लागै आइ ॥
He alone is liberated, who conquers his mind; Maya does not stick to him again.
ਦਸਵੈ ਦੁਆਰਿ ਰਹਤ ਕਰੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਣ ਸੋਝੀ ਪਾਇ ॥੩॥
Dhasavai Dhuaar Rehath Karae Thribhavan Sojhee Paae ||3||
दसवै दुआरि रहत करे त्रिभवण सोझी पाइ ॥३॥
He dwells in the Tenth Gate, and obtains the understanding of the three worlds. ||3||
ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਗੁਰੁ ਹੋਇਆ ਵੇਖਹੁ ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਰਜਾਇ ॥
Naanak Gur Thae Gur Hoeiaa Vaekhahu This Kee Rajaae ||
नानक गुर ते गुरु होइआ वेखहु तिस की रजाइ ॥
O Nanak, through the Guru, one becomes the Guru; behold, His Wondrous Will.
