साध कै संगि नही कछु घाल ॥
In the Company of the Holy, there is no suffering.
ਦਰਸਨੁ ਭੇਟਤ ਹੋਤ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥
Dharasan Bhaettath Hoth Nihaal ||
दरसनु भेटत होत निहाल ॥
The Blessed Vision of their Darshan brings a sublime, happy peace.
ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਕਲੂਖਤ ਹਰੈ ॥
Saadhh Kai Sang Kalookhath Harai ||
साध कै संगि कलूखत हरै ॥
In the Company of the Holy, blemishes are removed.
ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਨਰਕ ਪਰਹਰੈ ॥
Saadhh Kai Sang Narak Pareharai ||
साध कै संगि नरक परहरै ॥
In the Company of the Holy, hell is far away.
ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਈਹਾ ਊਹਾ ਸੁਹੇਲਾ ॥
Saadhh Kai Sang Eehaa Oohaa Suhaelaa ||
साध कै संगि ईहा ऊहा सुहेला ॥
In the Company of the Holy, one is happy here and hereafter.
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਬਿਛੁਰਤ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਾ ॥
Saadhhasang Bishhurath Har Maelaa ||
साधसंगि बिछुरत हरि मेला ॥
In the Company of the Holy, the separated ones are reunited with the Lord.
ਜੋ ਇਛੈ ਸੋਈ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
Jo Eishhai Soee Fal Paavai ||
जो इछै सोई फलु पावै ॥
The fruits of one's desires are obtained.
ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਾਵੈ ॥
Saadhh Kai Sang N Birathhaa Jaavai ||
साध कै संगि न बिरथा जावै ॥
In the Company of the Holy, no one goes empty-handed.
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਸਾਧ ਰਿਦ ਬਸੈ ॥
Paarabreham Saadhh Ridh Basai ||
पारब्रहमु साध रिद बसै ॥
The Supreme Lord God dwells in the hearts of the Holy.
ਨਾਨਕ ਉਧਰੈ ਸਾਧ ਸੁਨਿ ਰਸੈ ॥੬॥

नानक उधरै साध सुनि रसै ॥६॥
O Nanak, listening to the sweet words of the Holy, one is saved. ||6||

साधसंगि हरि के गुन गाउ ॥
In the Company of the Holy, sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord.
ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਬਿਸਰੈ ॥

साध कै संगि न मन ते बिसरै ॥
In the Company of the Holy, do not forget Him from your mind.
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਸਰਪਰ ਨਿਸਤਰੈ ॥
Saadhhasang Sarapar Nisatharai ||
साधसंगि सरपर निसतरै ॥
In the Company of the Holy, you shall surely be saved.
ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਲਗੈ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੀਠਾ ॥

साध कै संगि लगै प्रभु मीठा ॥
In the Company of the Holy, God seems very sweet.
ਸਾਧੂ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਡੀਠਾ ॥
Saadhhoo Kai Sang Ghatt Ghatt Ddeethaa ||
साधू कै संगि घटि घटि डीठा ॥
In the Company of the Holy, He is seen in each and every heart.
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਭਏ ਆਗਿਆਕਾਰੀ ॥
Saadhhasang Bheae Aagiaakaaree ||
साधसंगि भए आगिआकारी ॥
In the Company of the Holy, we become obedient to the Lord.
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਗਤਿ ਭਈ ਹਮਾਰੀ ॥
Saadhhasang Gath Bhee Hamaaree ||
साधसंगि गति भई हमारी ॥
In the Company of the Holy, we obtain the state of salvation.
ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਟੇ ਸਭਿ ਰੋਗ ॥
Saadhh Kai Sang Mittae Sabh Rog ||
साध कै संगि मिटे सभि रोग ॥
In the Company of the Holy, all diseases are cured.
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਧ ਭੇਟੇ ਸੰਜੋਗ ॥੭॥

नानक साध भेटे संजोग ॥७॥
O Nanak, one meets with the Holy, by highest destiny. ||7||
ਸਾਧ ਕੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਬੇਦ ਨ ਜਾਨਹਿ ॥

साध की महिमा बेद न जानहि ॥
The glory of the Holy people is not known to the Vedas.
ਜੇਤਾ ਸੁਨਹਿ ਤੇਤਾ ਬਖਿਆਨਹਿ ॥
Jaethaa Sunehi Thaethaa Bakhiaanehi ||
जेता सुनहि तेता बखिआनहि ॥
They can describe only what they have heard.
ਸਾਧ ਕੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਤਿਹੁ ਗੁਣ ਤੇ ਦੂਰਿ ॥
Saadhh Kee Oupamaa Thihu Gun Thae Dhoor ||
साध की उपमा तिहु गुण ते दूरि ॥
The greatness of the Holy people is beyond the three qualities.
ਸਾਧ ਕੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਰਹੀ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ॥

साध की उपमा रही भरपूरि ॥
The greatness of the Holy people is all-pervading.
ਸਾਧ ਕੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਕਾ ਨਾਹੀ ਅੰਤ ॥
Saadhh Kee Sobhaa Kaa Naahee Anth ||
साध की सोभा का नाही अंत ॥
The glory of the Holy people has no limit.
ਸਾਧ ਕੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਸਦਾ ਬੇਅੰਤ ॥
Saadhh Kee Sobhaa Sadhaa Baeanth ||
साध की सोभा सदा बेअंत ॥
The glory of the Holy people is infinite and eternal.
ਸਾਧ ਕੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਊਚ ਤੇ ਊਚੀ ॥
Saadhh Kee Sobhaa Ooch Thae Oochee ||
साध की सोभा ऊच ते ऊची ॥
The glory of the Holy people is the highest of the high.
ਸਾਧ ਕੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਮੂਚ ਤੇ ਮੂਚੀ ॥
Saadhh Kee Sobhaa Mooch Thae Moochee ||
साध की सोभा मूच ते मूची ॥
The glory of the Holy people is the greatest of the great.
ਸਾਧ ਕੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਸਾਧ ਬਨਿ ਆਈ ॥
Saadhh Kee Sobhaa Saadhh Ban Aaee ||
साध की सोभा साध बनि आई ॥
The glory of the Holy people is theirs alone;
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਧ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭੇਦੁ ਨ ਭਾਈ ॥੮॥੭॥

नानक साध प्रभ भेदु न भाई ॥८॥७॥
O Nanak, there is no difference between the Holy people and God. ||8||7||

The True One is on his mind, and the True One is upon his lips.
ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਪੇਖੈ ਏਕਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਕੋਇ ॥

अवरु न पेखै एकसु बिनु कोइ ॥
He sees only the One.

ਜੈਸੇ ਜਲ ਮਹਿ ਕਮਲ ਅਲੇਪ ॥

जैसे जल महि कमल अलेप ॥
As the lotus in the water remains detached.
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਸਦਾ ਨਿਰਦੋਖ ॥
Breham Giaanee Sadhaa Niradhokh ||
ब्रहम गिआनी सदा निरदोख ॥
The God-conscious being is always unstained,
ਜੈਸੇ ਸੂਰੁ ਸਰਬ ਕਉ ਸੋਖ ॥
Jaisae Soor Sarab Ko Sokh ||
जैसे सूरु सरब कउ सोख ॥
Like the sun, which gives its comfort and warmth to all.
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕੈ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਸਮਾਨਿ ॥
Breham Giaanee Kai Dhrisatt Samaan ||
ब्रहम गिआनी कै द्रिसटि समानि ॥
The God-conscious being looks upon all alike,
ਜੈਸੇ ਰਾਜ ਰੰਕ ਕਉ ਲਾਗੈ ਤੁਲਿ ਪਵਾਨ ॥
Jaisae Raaj Rank Ko Laagai Thul Pavaan ||
जैसे राज रंक कउ लागै तुलि पवान ॥
Like the wind, which blows equally upon the king and the poor beggar.
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕੈ ਧੀਰਜੁ ਏਕ ॥
Breham Giaanee Kai Dhheeraj Eaek ||
ब्रहम गिआनी कै धीरजु एक ॥
The God-conscious being has a steady patience,
ਜਿਉ ਬਸੁਧਾ ਕੋਊ ਖੋਦੈ ਕੋਊ ਚੰਦਨ ਲੇਪ ॥
Jio Basudhhaa Kooo Khodhai Kooo Chandhan Laep ||
जिउ बसुधा कोऊ खोदै कोऊ चंदन लेप ॥
Like the earth, which is dug up by one, and anointed with sandal paste by another.
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕਾ ਇਹੈ ਗੁਨਾਉ ॥

ब्रहम गिआनी का इहै गुनाउ ॥
This is the quality of the God-conscious being:
ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਉ ਪਾਵਕ ਕਾ ਸਹਜ ਸੁਭਾਉ ॥੧॥

नानक जिउ पावक का सहज सुभाउ ॥१॥
O Nanak, his inherent nature is like a warming fire. ||1||
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਤੇ ਨਿਰਮਲਾ ॥
Breham Giaanee Niramal Thae Niramalaa ||
ब्रहम गिआनी निरमल ते निरमला ॥
The God-conscious being is the purest of the pure;
ਜੈਸੇ ਮੈਲੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਜਲਾ ॥
Jaisae Mail N Laagai Jalaa ||
जैसे मैलु न लागै जला ॥
Filth does not stick to water.
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਹੋਇ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸੁ ॥
Breham Giaanee Kai Man Hoe Pragaas ||
ब्रहम गिआनी कै मनि होइ प्रगासु ॥
The God-conscious being's mind is enlightened,
ਜੈਸੇ ਧਰ ਊਪਰਿ ਆਕਾਸੁ ॥
Jaisae Dhhar Oopar Aakaas ||
जैसे धर ऊपरि आकासु ॥
Like the sky above the earth.
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕੈ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਸਮਾਨਿ ॥
Breham Giaanee Kai Mithr Sathra Samaan ||
ब्रहम गिआनी कै मित्र सत्रु समानि ॥
To the God-conscious being, friend and foe are the same.
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਅਭਿਮਾਨ ॥
Breham Giaanee Kai Naahee Abhimaan ||
ब्रहम गिआनी कै नाही अभिमान ॥
The God-conscious being has no egotistical pride.
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਊਚ ਤੇ ਊਚਾ ॥
Breham Giaanee Ooch Thae Oochaa ||
ब्रहम गिआनी ऊच ते ऊचा ॥
The God-conscious being is the highest of the high.
ਮਨਿ ਅਪਨੈ ਹੈ ਸਭ ਤੇ ਨੀਚਾ ॥
Man Apanai Hai Sabh Thae Neechaa ||
मनि अपनै है सभ ते नीचा ॥
Within his own mind, he is the most humble of all.
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਸੇ ਜਨ ਭਏ ॥
Breham Giaanee Sae Jan Bheae ||
ब्रहम गिआनी से जन भए ॥
They alone become God-conscious beings,
ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪਿ ਕਰੇਇ ॥੨॥

नानक जिन प्रभु आपि करेइ ॥२॥
O Nanak, whom God Himself makes so. ||2||

ब्रहम गिआनी सगल की रीना ॥
The God-conscious being is the dust of all.
ਆਤਮ ਰਸੁ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਚੀਨਾ ॥
Aatham Ras Breham Giaanee Cheenaa ||
आतम रसु ब्रहम गिआनी चीना ॥
The God-conscious being knows the nature of the soul.
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕੀ ਸਭ ਊਪਰਿ ਮਇਆ ॥

ब्रहम गिआनी की सभ ऊपरि मइआ ॥
The God-conscious being shows kindness to all.
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਤੇ ਕਛੁ ਬੁਰਾ ਨ ਭਇਆ ॥

ब्रहम गिआनी ते कछु बुरा न भइआ ॥
No evil comes from the God-conscious being.
