आंधी पाछे जो जलु बरखै तिहि तेरा जनु भीनां ॥
Your servant is drenched with the rain that has fallen in this storm.

They do not listen to the Lord's Praises and they do not sing the Lord's Glories
ਬਾਤਨ ਹੀ ਅਸਮਾਨੁ ਗਿਰਾਵਹਿ ॥੧॥
Baathan Hee Asamaan Giraavehi ||1||
बातन ही असमानु गिरावहि ॥१॥
But they try to bring down the sky with their talk. ||1||
ਐਸੇ ਲੋਗਨ ਸਿਉ ਕਿਆ ਕਹੀਐ ॥

ऐसे लोगन सिउ किआ कहीऐ ॥
What can anyone say to such people?
ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀਏ ਭਗਤਿ ਤੇ ਬਾਹਜ ਤਿਨ ਤੇ ਸਦਾ ਡਰਾਨੇ ਰਹੀਐ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

जो प्रभ कीए भगति ते बाहज तिन ते सदा डराने रहीऐ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
You should always be careful around those whom God has excluded from His devotional worship. ||1||Pause||
ਆਪਿ ਨ ਦੇਹਿ ਚੁਰੂ ਭਰਿ ਪਾਨੀ ॥
Aap N Dhaehi Churoo Bhar Paanee ||
आपि न देहि चुरू भरि पानी ॥
They do not offer even a handful of water,
ਤਿਹ ਨਿੰਦਹਿ ਜਿਹ ਗੰਗਾ ਆਨੀ ॥੨॥
Thih Nindhehi Jih Gangaa Aanee ||2||
तिह निंदहि जिह गंगा आनी ॥२॥
While they slander the one who brought forth the Ganges. ||2||
ਬੈਠਤ ਉਠਤ ਕੁਟਿਲਤਾ ਚਾਲਹਿ ॥
Baithath Outhath Kuttilathaa Chaalehi ||
बैठत उठत कुटिलता चालहि ॥
Sitting down or standing up, their ways are crooked and evil.
ਆਪੁ ਗਏ ਅਉਰਨ ਹੂ ਘਾਲਹਿ ॥੩॥
Aap Geae Aouran Hoo Ghaalehi ||3||
आपु गए अउरन हू घालहि ॥३॥
They ruin themselves, and then they ruin others. ||3||
ਛਾਡਿ ਕੁਚਰਚਾ ਆਨ ਨ ਜਾਨਹਿ ॥
Shhaadd Kucharachaa Aan N Jaanehi ||
छाडि कुचरचा आन न जानहि ॥
They know nothing except evil talk.
ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਹੂ ਕੋ ਕਹਿਓ ਨ ਮਾਨਹਿ ॥੪॥
Brehamaa Hoo Ko Kehiou N Maanehi ||4||
ब्रहमा हू को कहिओ न मानहि ॥४॥
They would not even obey Brahma's orders. ||4||
ਆਪੁ ਗਏ ਅਉਰਨ ਹੂ ਖੋਵਹਿ ॥
Aap Geae Aouran Hoo Khovehi ||
आपु गए अउरन हू खोवहि ॥
They themselves are lost, and they mislead others as well.
ਆਗਿ ਲਗਾਇ ਮੰਦਰ ਮੈ ਸੋਵਹਿ ॥੫॥
Aag Lagaae Mandhar Mai Sovehi ||5||
आगि लगाइ मंदर मै सोवहि ॥५॥
They set their own temple on fire, and then they fall asleep within it. ||5||
ਅਵਰਨ ਹਸਤ ਆਪ ਹਹਿ ਕਾਂਨੇ ॥

अवरन हसत आप हहि कांने ॥
They laugh at others, while they themselves are one-eyed.
ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਦੇਖਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਲਜਾਨੇ ॥੬॥੧॥੪੪॥

जीवत पितर न मानै कोऊ मूएं सिराध कराही ॥
He does not honor his ancestors while they are alive, but he holds feasts in their honor after they have died.
ਪਿਤਰ ਭੀ ਬਪੁਰੇ ਕਹੁ ਕਿਉ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਕਊਆ ਕੂਕਰ ਖਾਹੀ ॥੧॥

पितर भी बपुरे कहु किउ पावहि कऊआ कूकर खाही ॥१॥
Tell me, how can his poor ancestors receive what the crows and the dogs have eaten up? ||1||

मो कउ कुसलु बतावहु कोई ॥

माटी के करि देवी देवा तिसु आगै जीउ देही ॥
Making gods and goddesses out of clay, people sacrifice living beings to them.
ਐਸੇ ਪਿਤਰ ਤੁਮਾਰੇ ਕਹੀਅਹਿ ਆਪਨ ਕਹਿਆ ਨ ਲੇਹੀ ॥੨॥
Aisae Pithar Thumaarae Keheeahi Aapan Kehiaa N Laehee ||2||
ऐसे पितर तुमारे कहीअहि आपन कहिआ न लेही ॥२॥
Such are your dead ancestors, who cannot ask for what they want. ||2||
ਸਰਜੀਉ ਕਾਟਹਿ ਨਿਰਜੀਉ ਪੂਜਹਿ ਅੰਤ ਕਾਲ ਕਉ ਭਾਰੀ ॥
Sarajeeo Kaattehi Nirajeeo Poojehi Anth Kaal Ko Bhaaree ||
सरजीउ काटहि निरजीउ पूजहि अंत काल कउ भारी ॥
You murder living beings and worship lifeless things; at your very last moment, you shall suffer in terrible pain.
ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਕੀ ਗਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਨੀ ਭੈ ਡੂਬੇ ਸੰਸਾਰੀ ॥੩॥
Raam Naam Kee Gath Nehee Jaanee Bhai Ddoobae Sansaaree ||3||
राम नाम की गति नही जानी भै डूबे संसारी ॥३॥
You do not know the value of the Lord's Name; you shall drown in the terrifying world-ocean. ||3||
ਦੇਵੀ ਦੇਵਾ ਪੂਜਹਿ ਡੋਲਹਿ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਨਾ ॥
Dhaevee Dhaevaa Poojehi Ddolehi Paarabreham Nehee Jaanaa ||
देवी देवा पूजहि डोलहि पारब्रहमु नही जाना ॥
You worship gods and goddesses, but you do not know the Supreme Lord God.
ਕਹਤ ਕਬੀਰ ਅਕੁਲੁ ਨਹੀ ਚੇਤਿਆ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਸਿਉ ਲਪਟਾਨਾ ॥੪॥੧॥੪੫॥
Kehath Kabeer Akul Nehee Chaethiaa Bikhiaa Sio Lapattaanaa ||4||1||45||
कहत कबीर अकुलु नही चेतिआ बिखिआ सिउ लपटाना ॥४॥१॥४५॥
Says Kabeer, you have not remembered the Lord who has no ancestors; you are clinging to your corrupt ways. ||4||1||45||

जीवत मरै मरै फुनि जीवै ऐसे सुंनि समाइआ ॥
One who remains dead while yet alive, will live even after death; thus he merges into the Primal Void of the Absolute Lord.
ਅੰਜਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਨਿਰੰਜਨਿ ਰਹੀਐ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਨ ਭਵਜਲਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
Anjan Maahi Niranjan Reheeai Bahurr N Bhavajal Paaeiaa ||1||
अंजन माहि निरंजनि रहीऐ बहुड़ि न भवजलि पाइआ ॥१॥
Remaining pure in the midst of impurity, he will never again fall into the terrifying world-ocean. ||1||

गुर कै बाणि बजर कल छेदी प्रगटिआ पदु परगासा ॥
The Guru's arrow has pierced the hard core of this Dark Age of Kali Yuga, and the state of enlightenment has dawned.

In the darkness of Maya, I mistook the rope for the snake, but that is over, and now I dwell in the eternal home of the Lord. ||2||
