तिसु अगै पिछै ढोई नाही गुरसिखी मनि वीचारिआ ॥
He shall find no shelter, here or hereafter; the GurSikhs have realized this in their minds.

सतिगुरू नो मिले सेई जन उबरे जिन हिरदै नामु समारिआ ॥
That humble being who meets the True Guru is saved; he cherishes the Naam, the Name of the Lord, in his heart.

हउमै जगतु भुलाइआ दुरमति बिखिआ बिकार ॥
Egotism has led the world astray, along with evil-mindedness and the poison of corruption.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਤ ਨਦਰਿ ਹੋਇ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਅੰਧ ਅੰਧਿਆਰ ॥
Sathigur Milai Th Nadhar Hoe Manamukh Andhh Andhhiaar ||
सतिगुरु मिलै त नदरि होइ मनमुख अंध अंधिआर ॥
Meeting with the True Guru, we are blessed by the Lord's Glance of Grace, while the self-willed manmukh gropes around in the darkness.

Sach Sachae Kee Sifath Salaah Hai So Karae Jis Andhar Bhijai ||
सचु सचे की सिफति सलाह है सो करे जिसु अंदरु भिजै ॥
True are the Praises and the Glories of the True One; he alone speaks them, whose mind is softened within.
ਜਿਨੀ ਇਕ ਮਨਿ ਇਕੁ ਅਰਾਧਿਆ ਤਿਨ ਕਾ ਕੰਧੁ ਨ ਕਬਹੂ ਛਿਜੈ ॥
Jinee Eik Man Eik Araadhhiaa Thin Kaa Kandhh N Kabehoo Shhijai ||
जिनी इक मनि इकु अराधिआ तिन का कंधु न कबहू छिजै ॥
Those who worship the One Lord with single-minded devotion - their bodies shall never perish.

धनु धनु पुरख साबासि है जिन सचु रसना अम्रितु पिजै ॥
Blessed, blessed and acclaimed is that person, who tastes with his tongue the Ambrosial Nectar of the True Name.
ਸਚੁ ਸਚਾ ਜਿਨ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਵਦਾ ਸੇ ਮਨਿ ਸਚੀ ਦਰਗਹ ਲਿਜੈ ॥
Sach Sachaa Jin Man Bhaavadhaa Sae Man Sachee Dharageh Lijai ||
सचु सचा जिन मनि भावदा से मनि सची दरगह लिजै ॥
One whose mind is pleased with the Truest of the True is accepted in the True Court.

Saakath Jaae Nivehi Gur Aagai Man Khottae Koorr Koorriaarae ||
साकत जाइ निवहि गुर आगै मनि खोटे कूड़ि कूड़िआरे ॥
The faithless cynics go and bow before the Guru, but their minds are corrupt and false, totally false.
ਜਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਕਹੈ ਉਠਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ ਬਹਿ ਜਾਹਿ ਘੁਸਰਿ ਬਗੁਲਾਰੇ ॥
Jaa Gur Kehai Outhahu Maerae Bhaaee Behi Jaahi Ghusar Bagulaarae ||
जा गुरु कहै उठहु मेरे भाई बहि जाहि घुसरि बगुलारे ॥
When the Guru says, ""Rise up, my Siblings of Destiny"", they sit down, crowded in like cranes.
ਗੁਰਸਿਖਾ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਵਰਤੈ ਚੁਣਿ ਕਢੇ ਲਧੋਵਾਰੇ ॥
Gurasikhaa Andhar Sathigur Varathai Chun Kadtae Ladhhovaarae ||
गुरसिखा अंदरि सतिगुरु वरतै चुणि कढे लधोवारे ॥
The True Guru prevails among His GurSikhs; they pick out and expel the wanderers.
ਓਇ ਅਗੈ ਪਿਛੈ ਬਹਿ ਮੁਹੁ ਛਪਾਇਨਿ ਨ ਰਲਨੀ ਖੋਟੇਆਰੇ ॥
Oue Agai Pishhai Behi Muhu Shhapaaein N Ralanee Khottaeaarae ||
ओइ अगै पिछै बहि मुहु छपाइनि न रलनी खोटेआरे ॥
Sitting here and there, they hide their faces; being counterfeit, they cannot mix with the genuine.
ਓਨਾ ਦਾ ਭਖੁ ਸੁ ਓਥੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਜਾਇ ਕੂੜੁ ਲਹਨਿ ਭੇਡਾਰੇ ॥
Ounaa Dhaa Bhakh S Outhhai Naahee Jaae Koorr Lehan Bhaeddaarae ||
ओना दा भखु सु ओथै नाही जाइ कूड़ु लहनि भेडारे ॥
There is no food for them there; the false go into the filth like sheep.
ਜੇ ਸਾਕਤੁ ਨਰੁ ਖਾਵਾਈਐ ਲੋਚੀਐ ਬਿਖੁ ਕਢੈ ਮੁਖਿ ਉਗਲਾਰੇ ॥
Jae Saakath Nar Khaavaaeeai Locheeai Bikh Kadtai Mukh Ougalaarae ||
जे साकतु नरु खावाईऐ लोचीऐ बिखु कढै मुखि उगलारे ॥
If you try to feed the faithless cynic, he will spit out poison from his mouth.
ਹਰਿ ਸਾਕਤ ਸੇਤੀ ਸੰਗੁ ਨ ਕਰੀਅਹੁ ਓਇ ਮਾਰੇ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰੇ ॥
Har Saakath Saethee Sang N Kareeahu Oue Maarae Sirajanehaarae ||
हरि साकत सेती संगु न करीअहु ओइ मारे सिरजणहारे ॥
O Lord, let me not be in the company of the faithless cynic, who is cursed by the Creator Lord.
ਜਿਸ ਕਾ ਇਹੁ ਖੇਲੁ ਸੋਈ ਕਰਿ ਵੇਖੈ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮਾਰੇ ॥੧॥

जिस का इहु खेलु सोई करि वेखै जन नानक नामु समारे ॥१॥
This drama belongs to the Lord; He performs it, and He watches over it. Servant Nanak cherishes the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1||

Sathigur Purakh Aganm Hai Jis Andhar Har Our Dhhaariaa ||
सतिगुरु पुरखु अगमु है जिसु अंदरि हरि उरि धारिआ ॥
The True Guru the Primal Being is inaccessible; He has enshrined the Lord's Name within His heart.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੋ ਅਪੜਿ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਸਕਈ ਜਿਸੁ ਵਲਿ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰਿਆ ॥

सतिगुरू नो अपड़ि कोइ न सकई जिसु वलि सिरजणहारिआ ॥
No one can equal the True Guru; the Creator Lord is on His side.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਕਾ ਖੜਗੁ ਸੰਜੋਉ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਹੈ ਜਿਤੁ ਕਾਲੁ ਕੰਟਕੁ ਮਾਰਿ ਵਿਡਾਰਿਆ ॥
Sathiguroo Kaa Kharrag Sanjoo Har Bhagath Hai Jith Kaal Kanttak Maar Viddaariaa ||
सतिगुरू का खड़गु संजोउ हरि भगति है जितु कालु कंटकु मारि विडारिआ ॥
Devotional worship of the Lord is the sword and armor of the True Guru; He has killed and cast out Death, the torturer.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਕਾ ਰਖਣਹਾਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਹੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੈ ਪਿਛੈ ਹਰਿ ਸਭਿ ਉਬਾਰਿਆ ॥
Sathiguroo Kaa Rakhanehaaraa Har Aap Hai Sathiguroo Kai Pishhai Har Sabh Oubaariaa ||
सतिगुरू का रखणहारा हरि आपि है सतिगुरू कै पिछै हरि सभि उबारिआ ॥
The Lord Himself is the Protector of the True Guru. The Lord saves all those who follow in the footsteps of the True Guru.
ਜੋ ਮੰਦਾ ਚਿਤਵੈ ਪੂਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਕਾ ਸੋ ਆਪਿ ਉਪਾਵਣਹਾਰੈ ਮਾਰਿਆ ॥
Jo Mandhaa Chithavai Poorae Sathiguroo Kaa So Aap Oupaavanehaarai Maariaa ||
जो मंदा चितवै पूरे सतिगुरू का सो आपि उपावणहारै मारिआ ॥
One who thinks evil of the Perfect True Guru - the Creator Lord Himself destroys him.
ਏਹ ਗਲ ਹੋਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਸਚੇ ਕੀ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਅਗਮੁ ਵੀਚਾਰਿਆ ॥੨॥
Eaeh Gal Hovai Har Dharageh Sachae Kee Jan Naanak Agam Veechaariaa ||2||
एह गल होवै हरि दरगह सचे की जन नानक अगमु वीचारिआ ॥२॥

सचु सुतिआ जिनी अराधिआ जा उठे ता सचु चवे ॥
Those who dwell upon the True Lord while asleep, utter the True Name when they are awake.
ਸੇ ਵਿਰਲੇ ਜੁਗ ਮਹਿ ਜਾਣੀਅਹਿ ਜੋ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਚੁ ਰਵੇ ॥
Sae Viralae Jug Mehi Jaaneeahi Jo Guramukh Sach Ravae ||
से विरले जुग महि जाणीअहि जो गुरमुखि सचु रवे ॥
How rare in the world are those Gurmukhs who dwell upon the True Lord.
ਹਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਜਿ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਸਚੁ ਲਵੇ ॥
Ho Balihaaree Thin Ko J Anadhin Sach Lavae ||
हउ बलिहारी तिन कउ जि अनदिनु सचु लवे ॥
I am a sacrifice to those who chant the True Name, night and day.
ਜਿਨ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਸਚਾ ਭਾਵਦਾ ਸੇ ਸਚੀ ਦਰਗਹ ਗਵੇ ॥
Jin Man Than Sachaa Bhaavadhaa Sae Sachee Dharageh Gavae ||
जिन मनि तनि सचा भावदा से सची दरगह गवे ॥
The True Lord is pleasing to their minds and bodies; they go to the Court of the True Lord.
ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਬੋਲੈ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਚੁ ਸਚਾ ਸਦਾ ਨਵੇ ॥੨੧॥
Jan Naanak Bolai Sach Naam Sach Sachaa Sadhaa Navae ||21||
जनु नानकु बोलै सचु नामु सचु सचा सदा नवे ॥२१॥
Servant Nanak chants the True Name; truly, the True Lord is forever brand new. ||21||

किआ सवणा किआ जागणा गुरमुखि ते परवाणु ॥
Who is asleep, and who is awake? Those who are Gurmukh are approved.
