Har Dhhan Maeree Chinth Visaaree Har Dhhan Laahiaa Dhhokhaa ||
हरि धन मेरी चिंत विसारी हरि धनि लाहिआ धोखा ॥
Through the wealth of the Lord, I have forgotten my anxiety; through the wealth of the Lord, my doubt has been dispelled.
ਹਰਿ ਧਨ ਤੇ ਮੈ ਨਵ ਨਿਧਿ ਪਾਈ ਹਾਥਿ ਚਰਿਓ ਹਰਿ ਥੋਕਾ ॥੩॥
Har Dhhan Thae Mai Nav Nidhh Paaee Haathh Chariou Har Thhokaa ||3||
हरि धन ते मै नव निधि पाई हाथि चरिओ हरि थोका ॥३॥
From the wealth of the Lord, I have obtained the nine treasures; the true essence of the Lord has come into my hands. ||3||
ਖਾਵਹੁ ਖਰਚਹੁ ਤੋਟਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਹਲਤ ਪਲਤ ਕੈ ਸੰਗੇ ॥
Khaavahu Kharachahu Thott N Aavai Halath Palath Kai Sangae ||
खावहु खरचहु तोटि न आवै हलत पलत कै संगे ॥
No matter how much I eat and expend this wealth, it is not exhausted; here and hereafter, it remains with me.
ਲਾਦਿ ਖਜਾਨਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਦੀਆ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਰੰਗੇ ॥੪॥੨॥੩॥
Laadh Khajaanaa Gur Naanak Ko Dheeaa Eihu Man Har Rang Rangae ||4||2||3||
लादि खजाना गुरि नानक कउ दीआ इहु मनु हरि रंगि रंगे ॥४॥२॥३॥
Loading the treasure, Guru Nanak has given it, and this mind is imbued with the Lord's Love. ||4||2||3||

Jis Simarath Sabh Kilavikh Naasehi Pitharee Hoe Oudhhaaro ||
जिसु सिमरत सभि किलविख नासहि पितरी होइ उधारो ॥
Remembering Him, all sins are erased, and ones generations are saved.
ਸੋ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਜਾਪਹੁ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਰੋ ॥੧॥
So Har Har Thumh Sadh Hee Jaapahu Jaa Kaa Anth N Paaro ||1||
सो हरि हरि तुम्ह सद ही जापहु जा का अंतु न पारो ॥१॥
So meditate continually on the Lord, Har, Har; He has no end or limitation. ||1||

निमख न बिसरउ तुम्ह कउ हरि हरि सदा भजहु जगदीस ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
That you may never forget the Lord, Har, Har, even for an instant. May you ever vibrate upon the Lord of the Universe. ||1||Pause||

सतिगुरु तुम्ह कउ होइ दइआला संतसंगि तेरी प्रीति ॥

कापड़ु पति परमेसरु राखी भोजनु कीरतनु नीति ॥२॥
May the preservation of your honor by the Transcendent Lord be your clothes, and may the singing of His Praises be your food. ||2||
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਵਹੁ ਸਦਾ ਚਿਰੁ ਜੀਵਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਅਨਦ ਅਨੰਤਾ ॥
Anmrith Peevahu Sadhaa Chir Jeevahu Har Simarath Anadh Ananthaa ||
अम्रितु पीवहु सदा चिरु जीवहु हरि सिमरत अनद अनंता ॥
So drink in forever the Ambrosial Nectar; may you live long, and may the meditative remembrance of the Lord give you infinite delight.
ਰੰਗ ਤਮਾਸਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਆਸਾ ਕਬਹਿ ਨ ਬਿਆਪੈ ਚਿੰਤਾ ॥੩॥
Rang Thamaasaa Pooran Aasaa Kabehi N Biaapai Chinthaa ||3||
रंग तमासा पूरन आसा कबहि न बिआपै चिंता ॥३॥
May joy and pleasure be yours; may your hopes be fulfilled, and may you never be troubled by worries. ||3||
ਭਵਰੁ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰਾ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਹੋਵਉ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣਾ ਹੋਹੁ ਕਉਲਾ ॥
Bhavar Thumhaaraa Eihu Man Hovo Har Charanaa Hohu Koulaa ||
भवरु तुम्हारा इहु मनु होवउ हरि चरणा होहु कउला ॥
Let this mind of yours be the bumble bee, and let the Lord's feet be the lotus flower.
ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸੁ ਉਨ ਸੰਗਿ ਲਪਟਾਇਓ ਜਿਉ ਬੂੰਦਹਿ ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕੁ ਮਉਲਾ ॥੪॥੩॥੪॥

नानक दासु उन संगि लपटाइओ जिउ बूंदहि चात्रिकु मउला ॥४॥३॥४॥
Says servant Nanak, attach your mind to them, and blossom forth like the song-bird, upon finding the rain-drop. ||4||3||4||

Mathaa Karai Pashham Kai Thaaee Poorab Hee Lai Jaath ||
मता करै पछम कै ताई पूरब ही लै जात ॥
He decides to go to the west, but the Lord leads him away to the east.
ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਥਾਪਿ ਉਥਾਪਨਹਾਰਾ ਆਪਨ ਹਾਥਿ ਮਤਾਤ ॥੧॥
Khin Mehi Thhaap Outhhaapanehaaraa Aapan Haathh Mathaath ||1||
खिन महि थापि उथापनहारा आपन हाथि मतात ॥१॥
In an instant, He establishes and disestablishes; He holds all matters in His hands. ||1||

Cleverness is of no use at all.

देसु कमावन धन जोरन की मनसा बीचे निकसे सास ॥
In his desire to acquire land and accumulate wealth, one's breath escapes him.
ਲਸਕਰ ਨੇਬ ਖਵਾਸ ਸਭ ਤਿਆਗੇ ਜਮ ਪੁਰਿ ਊਠਿ ਸਿਧਾਸ ॥੨॥
Lasakar Naeb Khavaas Sabh Thiaagae Jam Pur Ooth Sidhhaas ||2||
लसकर नेब खवास सभ तिआगे जम पुरि ऊठि सिधास ॥२॥
He must leave all his armies, assistants and servants; rising up, he departs to the City of Death. ||2||
ਹੋਇ ਅਨੰਨਿ ਮਨਹਠ ਕੀ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਤਾ ਆਪਸ ਕਉ ਜਾਨਾਤ ॥
Hoe Anann Manehath Kee Dhrirrathaa Aapas Ko Jaanaath ||
होइ अनंनि मनहठ की द्रिड़ता आपस कउ जानात ॥
Believing himself to be unique, he clings to his stubborn mind, and shows himself off.
ਜੋ ਅਨਿੰਦੁ ਨਿੰਦੁ ਕਰਿ ਛੋਡਿਓ ਸੋਈ ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਖਾਤ ॥੩॥
Jo Anindh Nindh Kar Shhoddiou Soee Fir Fir Khaath ||3||
जो अनिंदु निंदु करि छोडिओ सोई फिरि फिरि खात ॥३॥
That food, which the blameless people have condemned and discarded, he eats again and again. ||3||
ਸਹਜ ਸੁਭਾਇ ਭਏ ਕਿਰਪਾਲਾ ਤਿਸੁ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਕਾਟੀ ਫਾਸ ॥
Sehaj Subhaae Bheae Kirapaalaa This Jan Kee Kaattee Faas ||
सहज सुभाइ भए किरपाला तिसु जन की काटी फास ॥
One, unto whom the Lord shows His natural mercy, has the noose of Death cut away from him.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਭੇਟਿਆ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ਗਿਰਸਤ ਉਦਾਸ ॥੪॥੪॥੫॥

कहु नानक गुरु पूरा भेटिआ परवाणु गिरसत उदास ॥४॥४॥५॥
Says Nanak, one who meets the Perfect Guru, is celebrated as a householder as well as a renunciate. ||4||4||5||

Naam Nidhhaan Jin Jan Japiou Thin Kae Bandhhan Kaattae ||
नामु निधानु जिनि जनि जपिओ तिन के बंधन काटे ॥
Those humble beings who chant the treasure of the Naam, the Name of the Lord, have their bonds broken.
ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਮਾਇਆ ਬਿਖੁ ਮਮਤਾ ਇਹ ਬਿਆਧਿ ਤੇ ਹਾਟੇ ॥੧॥
Kaam Krodhh Maaeiaa Bikh Mamathaa Eih Biaadhh Thae Haattae ||1||
काम क्रोध माइआ बिखु ममता इह बिआधि ते हाटे ॥१॥
Sexual desirer, anger, the poison of Maya and egotism - they are rid of these afflictions. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਗਾਇਓ ॥
Har Jas Saadhhasang Mil Gaaeiou ||
हरि जसु साधसंगि मिलि गाइओ ॥
One who joins the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, and chants the Praises of the Lord,
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਭਇਓ ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖਾ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਇਅਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Gur Parasaadh Bhaeiou Man Niramal Sarab Sukhaa Sukh Paaeiao ||1|| Rehaao ||
गुर परसादि भइओ मनु निरमलु सरब सुखा सुख पाइअउ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Has his mind purified, by Guru's Grace, and he obtains the joy of all joys. ||1||Pause||
ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕੀਓ ਸੋਈ ਭਲ ਮਾਨੈ ਐਸੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਮਾਨੀ ॥
Jo Kishh Keeou Soee Bhal Maanai Aisee Bhagath Kamaanee ||
जो किछु कीओ सोई भल मानै ऐसी भगति कमानी ॥
Whatever the Lord does, he sees that as good; such is the devotional service he performs.
ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਸਭ ਏਕ ਸਮਾਨੇ ਜੋਗ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਨੀਸਾਨੀ ॥੨॥
Mithr Sathra Sabh Eaek Samaanae Jog Jugath Neesaanee ||2||
मित्र सत्रु सभ एक समाने जोग जुगति नीसानी ॥२॥
He sees friends and enemies as all the same; this is the sign of the Way of Yoga. ||2||
ਪੂਰਨ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਸ੍ਰਬ ਥਾਈ ਆਨ ਨ ਕਤਹੂੰ ਜਾਤਾ ॥
Pooran Poor Rehiou Srab Thhaaee Aan N Kathehoon Jaathaa ||
पूरन पूरि रहिओ स्रब थाई आन न कतहूं जाता ॥
The all-pervading Lord is fully filling all places; why should I go anywhere else?
ਘਟ ਘਟ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਰਬ ਨਿਰੰਤਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਵਿਓ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ॥੩॥
Ghatt Ghatt Anthar Sarab Niranthar Rang Raviou Rang Raathaa ||3||
घट घट अंतरि सरब निरंतरि रंगि रविओ रंगि राता ॥३॥
He is permeating and pervading within each and every heart; I am immersed in His Love, dyed in the color of His Love. ||3||
ਭਏ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਦਇਆਲ ਗੁਪਾਲਾ ਤਾ ਨਿਰਭੈ ਕੈ ਘਰਿ ਆਇਆ ॥
Bheae Kirapaal Dhaeiaal Gupaalaa Thaa Nirabhai Kai Ghar Aaeiaa ||
भए क्रिपाल दइआल गुपाला ता निरभै कै घरि आइआ ॥
When the Lord of the Universe becomes kind and compassionate, then one enters the home of the Fearless Lord.
