But you do not experience the state of victory of the Lord of the Universe. ||3||

Remember in meditation the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, the source of jewels. ||1||

Dhookh Rog Sog Sabh Binasae Gur Poorae Mil Paap Thajaaein ||1|| Rehaao ||
दूख रोग सोग सभि बिनसे गुर पूरे मिलि पाप तजाइण ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
All pain, disease and suffering is dispelled, meeting the Perfect Guru; sin has been eradicated. ||1||Pause||
ਜੀਵਨ ਪਦਵੀ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਉ ॥
Jeevan Padhavee Har Kaa Naao ||
जीवन पदवी हरि का नाउ ॥
The immortal status is obtained through the Name of the Lord;
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਸਾਚੁ ਸੁਆਉ ॥੨॥
Man Than Niramal Saach Suaao ||2||
मनु तनु निरमलु साचु सुआउ ॥२॥
The mind and body become spotless and pure, which is the true purpose of life. ||2||
ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ ॥
Aath Pehar Paarabreham Dhhiaaeeai ||
आठ पहर पारब्रहमु धिआईऐ ॥
Twenty-four hours a day, meditate on the Supreme Lord God.
ਪੂਰਬਿ ਲਿਖਤੁ ਹੋਇ ਤਾ ਪਾਈਐ ॥੩॥
Poorab Likhath Hoe Thaa Paaeeai ||3||
पूरबि लिखतु होइ ता पाईऐ ॥३॥
By pre-ordained destiny, the Name is obtained. ||3||
ਸਰਣਿ ਪਏ ਜਪਿ ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥
Saran Peae Jap Dheen Dhaeiaalaa ||
सरणि पए जपि दीन दइआला ॥
I have entered His Sanctuary, and I meditate on the Lord, Merciful to the meek.

घर का काजु न जाणी रूड़ा ॥
The beautiful one does not know the work of his own home.
ਝੂਠੈ ਧੰਧੈ ਰਚਿਓ ਮੂੜਾ ॥੧॥
Jhoothai Dhhandhhai Rachiou Moorraa ||1||
झूठै धंधै रचिओ मूड़ा ॥१॥
The fool is engrossed in false attachments. ||1||
ਜਿਤੁ ਤੂੰ ਲਾਵਹਿ ਤਿਤੁ ਤਿਤੁ ਲਗਨਾ ॥
Jith Thoon Laavehi Thith Thith Laganaa ||
जितु तूं लावहि तितु तितु लगना ॥
As You attach us, so we are attached.
ਜਾ ਤੂੰ ਦੇਹਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਉ ਜਪਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

जा तूं देहि तेरा नाउ जपना ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
When You bless us with Your Name, we chant it. ||1||Pause||
ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਦਾਸ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਤੀ ਰਾਤੇ ॥
Har Kae Dhaas Har Saethee Raathae ||
हरि के दास हरि सेती राते ॥
The Lord's slaves are imbued with the Love of the Lord.
ਰਾਮ ਰਸਾਇਣਿ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਮਾਤੇ ॥੨॥
Raam Rasaaein Anadhin Maathae ||2||
राम रसाइणि अनदिनु माते ॥२॥
They are intoxicated with the Lord, night and day. ||2||
ਬਾਹ ਪਕਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪੇ ਕਾਢੇ ॥
Baah Pakar Prabh Aapae Kaadtae ||
बाह पकरि प्रभि आपे काढे ॥
Reaching out to grasp hold of our arms, God lifts us up.
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਟੂਟੇ ਗਾਢੇ ॥੩॥
Janam Janam Kae Ttoottae Gaadtae ||3||
जनम जनम के टूटे गाढे ॥३॥
Separated for countless incarnations, we are united with Him again. ||3||

संत प्रसादि निहचलु घरु पाइआ ॥
By the Grace of the Saints, I have found my eternal home.
ਸਰਬ ਸੂਖ ਫਿਰਿ ਨਹੀ ਡਲਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
Sarab Sookh Fir Nehee Dduolaaeiaa ||1||
सरब सूख फिरि नही डोलाइआ ॥१॥
I have found total peace, and I shall not waver again. ||1||
ਗੁਰੂ ਧਿਆਇ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਨ ਮਨਿ ਚੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੇ ॥
Guroo Dhhiaae Har Charan Man Cheenhae ||
गुरू धिआइ हरि चरन मनि चीन्हे ॥
I meditate on the Guru, and the Lord's Feet, within my mind.
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਕਰਤੈ ਅਸਥਿਰੁ ਕੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Thaa Thae Karathai Asathhir Keenhae ||1|| Rehaao ||
ता ते करतै असथिरु कीन्हे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
In this way, the Creator Lord has made me steady and stable. ||1||Pause||
ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਤ ਅਚੁਤ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ॥
Gun Gaavath Achuth Abinaasee ||
गुण गावत अचुत अबिनासी ॥
I sing the Glorious Praises of the unchanging, eternal Lord God,
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਕਾਟੀ ਜਮ ਕੀ ਫਾਸੀ ॥੨॥
Thaa Thae Kaattee Jam Kee Faasee ||2||
ता ते काटी जम की फासी ॥२॥
And the noose of death is snapped. ||2||
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਲੀਨੇ ਲੜਿ ਲਾਏ ॥
Kar Kirapaa Leenae Larr Laaeae ||
करि किरपा लीने लड़ि लाए ॥
Showering His Mercy, he has attached me to the hem of His robe.
ਸਦਾ ਅਨਦੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ॥੩॥੩੦॥੩੬॥
Sadhaa Anadh Naanak Gun Gaaeae ||3||30||36||
सदा अनदु नानक गुण गाए ॥३॥३०॥३६॥
In constant bliss, Nanak sings His Glorious Praises. ||3||30||36||

जो जो जपै तिस की गति होवै हरि हरि नामु नित रसन बखानी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Whoever meditates on the Lord's Name is emancipated; he chants the Name of the Lord,Har,Har, with his tongue. ||1||Pause||
ਕਲੀ ਕਾਲ ਕੇ ਮਿਟੇ ਕਲੇਸਾ ॥
Kalee Kaal Kae Mittae Kalaesaa ||
कली काल के मिटे कलेसा ॥
The pains and sufferings of the Dark Age of Kali Yuga are eradicated,
ਏਕੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਪਰਵੇਸਾ ॥੧॥
Eaeko Naam Man Mehi Paravaesaa ||1||
एको नामु मन महि परवेसा ॥१॥
When the One Name abides within the mind. ||1||
ਸਾਧੂ ਧੂਰਿ ਮੁਖਿ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਲਾਈ ॥
Saadhhoo Dhhoor Mukh Masathak Laaee ||
साधू धूरि मुखि मसतकि लाई ॥
I apply the dust of the feet of the Holy to my face and forehead.
ਨਾਨਕ ਉਧਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥੨॥੩੧॥੩੭॥
Naanak Oudhharae Har Gur Saranaaee ||2||31||37||
नानक उधरे हरि गुर सरणाई ॥२॥३१॥३७॥
Nanak has been saved, in the Sanctuary of the Guru, the Lord. ||2||31||37||

दरसनु देहु पूरन किरपाला ॥ रहाउ ॥
Please, bless me with the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan, O Perfect, Compassionate Lord. ||Pause||

अम्रित नामु चलै जपि नाला ॥
Only meditation on the Ambrosial Naam, the Name of the Lord, will go along with you.

Without Him, there is no other at all.
ਆਪੇ ਥੰਮੈ ਸਚਾ ਸੋਈ ॥੧॥

आपे थमै सचा सोई ॥१॥
The True Lord Himself is our anchor. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਆਧਾਰੁ ॥
Har Har Naam Maeraa Aadhhaar ||
हरि हरि नामु मेरा आधारु ॥
The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is our only support.
ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਥੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

करण कारण समरथु अपारु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
The Creator, the Cause of causes, is All-powerful and Infinite. ||1||Pause||

सभ रोग मिटावे नवा निरोआ ॥
He has eradicated all illness, and healed me.
