मिथन मोह अगनि सोक सागर ॥
Attachment to sex is an ocean of fire and pain.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਉਧਰੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਗਰ ॥੧॥

करि किरपा उधरु हरि नागर ॥१॥
By Your Grace, O Sublime Lord, please save me from it. ||1||

I seek the Sanctuary of the Lotus Feet of the Lord.

Anaathhaa Naathh Bhagath Bhai Maettan ||
अनाथा नाथ भगत भै मेटन ॥
Master of the masterless, Patron of the forlorn, Eradicator of fear of His devotees.
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਜਮਦੂਤ ਨ ਭੇਟਨ ॥੨॥
Saadhhasang Jamadhooth N Bhaettan ||2||
साधसंगि जमदूत न भेटन ॥२॥
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, the Messenger of Death cannot even touch them. ||2||
ਜੀਵਨ ਰੂਪ ਅਨੂਪ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥
Jeevan Roop Anoop Dhaeiaalaa ||
जीवन रूप अनूप दइआला ॥
The Merciful, Incomparably Beautiful, Embodiment of Life.
ਰਵਣ ਗੁਣਾ ਕਟੀਐ ਜਮ ਜਾਲਾ ॥੩॥
Ravan Gunaa Katteeai Jam Jaalaa ||3||
रवण गुणा कटीऐ जम जाला ॥३॥
Vibrating the Glorious Virtues of the Lord, the noose of the Messenger of Death is cut away. ||3||
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਸਨ ਨਿਤ ਜਾਪੈ ॥
Anmrith Naam Rasan Nith Jaapai ||
अम्रित नामु रसन नित जापै ॥
One who constantly chants the Ambrosial Nectar of the Naam with his tongue,
ਰੋਗ ਰੂਪ ਮਾਇਆ ਨ ਬਿਆਪੈ ॥੪॥
Rog Roop Maaeiaa N Biaapai ||4||
रोग रूप माइआ न बिआपै ॥४॥
Is not touched or affected by Maya, the embodiment of disease. ||4||
ਜਪਿ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸੰਗੀ ਸਭਿ ਤਾਰੇ ॥
Jap Gobindh Sangee Sabh Thaarae ||
जपि गोबिंद संगी सभि तारे ॥
Chant and meditate on God, the Lord of the Universe, and all of your companions shall be carried across;
ਪੋਹਤ ਨਾਹੀ ਪੰਚ ਬਟਵਾਰੇ ॥੫॥
Pohath Naahee Panch Battavaarae ||5||
पोहत नाही पंच बटवारे ॥५॥
The five thieves will not even approach. ||5||
ਮਨ ਬਚ ਕ੍ਰਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਏਕੁ ਧਿਆਏ ॥
Man Bach Kram Prabh Eaek Dhhiaaeae ||
मन बच क्रम प्रभु एकु धिआए ॥
One who meditates on the One God in thought, word and deed
ਸਰਬ ਫਲਾ ਸੋਈ ਜਨੁ ਪਾਏ ॥੬॥
Sarab Falaa Soee Jan Paaeae ||6||
सरब फला सोई जनु पाए ॥६॥
- that humble being receives the fruits of all rewards. ||6||
ਧਾਰਿ ਅਨੁਗ੍ਰਹੁ ਅਪਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕੀਨਾ ॥
Dhhaar Anugrahu Apanaa Prabh Keenaa ||
धारि अनुग्रहु अपना प्रभि कीना ॥
Showering His Mercy, God has made me His own;
ਕੇਵਲ ਨਾਮੁ ਭਗਤਿ ਰਸੁ ਦੀਨਾ ॥੭॥
Kaeval Naam Bhagath Ras Dheenaa ||7||
केवल नामु भगति रसु दीना ॥७॥
He has blessed me with the unique and singular Naam, and the sublime essence of devotion. ||7||
ਆਦਿ ਮਧਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੋਈ ॥

आदि मधि अंति प्रभु सोई ॥
In the beginning, in the middle, and in the end, He is God.
ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥੮॥੧॥੨॥

Jin Ddithiaa Man Rehaseeai Kio Paaeeai Thinh Sang Jeeo ||
जिन डिठिआ मनु रहसीऐ किउ पाईऐ तिन्ह संगु जीउ ॥
Gazing upon them, my mind is enraptured. How can I join them and be with them?
ਸੰਤ ਸਜਨ ਮਨ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਸੇ ਲਾਇਨਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਿਉ ਰੰਗੁ ਜੀਉ ॥

संत सजन मन मित्र से लाइनि प्रभ सिउ रंगु जीउ ॥
They are Saints and friends, good friends of my mind, who inspire me and help me tune in to God's Love.
ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਸਿਉ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਨ ਤੁਟਈ ਕਬਹੁ ਨ ਹੋਵੈ ਭੰਗੁ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥
Thinh Sio Preeth N Thuttee Kabahu N Hovai Bhang Jeeo ||1||
तिन्ह सिउ प्रीति न तुटई कबहु न होवै भंगु जीउ ॥१॥
My love for them shall never die; it shall never, ever be broken. ||1||
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਰਿ ਦਇਆ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਿਤ ਜੀਉ ॥

पारब्रहम प्रभ करि दइआ गुण गावा तेरे नित जीउ ॥
O Supreme Lord God, please grant me Your Grace, that I might constantly sing Your Glorious Praises.
ਆਇ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਸਜਣਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਹ ਮਨ ਮਿਤ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Aae Milahu Santh Sajanaa Naam Japeh Man Mith Jeeo ||1|| Rehaao ||
आइ मिलहु संत सजणा नामु जपह मन मित जीउ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Come, and meet with me, O Saints, and good friends; let us chant and meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, the Best Friend of my mind. ||1||Pause||
ਦੇਖੈ ਸੁਣੇ ਨ ਜਾਣਈ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹਿਆ ਅੰਧੁ ਜੀਉ ॥
Dhaekhai Sunae N Jaanee Maaeiaa Mohiaa Andhh Jeeo ||
देखै सुणे न जाणई माइआ मोहिआ अंधु जीउ ॥
He does not see, he does not hear, and he does not understand; he is blind, enticed and bewitched by Maya.
ਕਾਚੀ ਦੇਹਾ ਵਿਣਸਣੀ ਕੂੜੁ ਕਮਾਵੈ ਧੰਧੁ ਜੀਉ ॥
Kaachee Dhaehaa Vinasanee Koorr Kamaavai Dhhandhh Jeeo ||
काची देहा विणसणी कूड़ु कमावै धंधु जीउ ॥
His body is false and transitory; it shall perish. And still, he entangles himself in false pursuits.
ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵਹਿ ਸੇ ਜਿਣਿ ਚਲੇ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਸਨਬੰਧੁ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
Naam Dhhiaavehi Sae Jin Chalae Gur Poorae Sanabandhh Jeeo ||2||
नामु धिआवहि से जिणि चले गुर पूरे सनबंधु जीउ ॥२॥
They alone depart victorious, who have meditated on the Naam; they stick with the Perfect Guru. ||2||
ਹੁਕਮੇ ਜੁਗ ਮਹਿ ਆਇਆ ਚਲਣੁ ਹੁਕਮਿ ਸੰਜੋਗਿ ਜੀਉ ॥
Hukamae Jug Mehi Aaeiaa Chalan Hukam Sanjog Jeeo ||
हुकमे जुग महि आइआ चलणु हुकमि संजोगि जीउ ॥
By the Hukam of God's Will, they come into this world, and they leave upon receipt of His Hukam.
ਹੁਕਮੇ ਪਰਪੰਚੁ ਪਸਰਿਆ ਹੁਕਮਿ ਕਰੇ ਰਸ ਭੋਗ ਜੀਉ ॥
Hukamae Parapanch Pasariaa Hukam Karae Ras Bhog Jeeo ||
हुकमे परपंचु पसरिआ हुकमि करे रस भोग जीउ ॥
By His Hukam, the Expanse of the Universe is expanded. By His Hukam, they enjoy pleasures.
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਕਰਤਾ ਵਿਸਰੈ ਤਿਸਹਿ ਵਿਛੋੜਾ ਸੋਗੁ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
Jis No Karathaa Visarai Thisehi Vishhorraa Sog Jeeo ||3||
जिस नो करता विसरै तिसहि विछोड़ा सोगु जीउ ॥३॥
One who forgets the Creator Lord, suffers sorrow and separation. ||3||
ਆਪਨੜੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਣਿਆ ਦਰਗਹ ਪੈਧਾ ਜਾਇ ਜੀਉ ॥
Aapanarrae Prabh Bhaaniaa Dharageh Paidhhaa Jaae Jeeo ||
आपनड़े प्रभ भाणिआ दरगह पैधा जाइ जीउ ॥
One who is pleasing to his God, goes to His Court dressed in robes of honor.
ਐਥੈ ਸੁਖੁ ਮੁਖੁ ਉਜਲਾ ਇਕੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ਜੀਉ ॥
Aithhai Sukh Mukh Oujalaa Eiko Naam Dhhiaae Jeeo ||
ऐथै सुखु मुखु उजला इको नामु धिआइ जीउ ॥
One who meditates on the Naam, the One Name, finds peace in this world; his face is radiant and bright.
ਆਦਰੁ ਦਿਤਾ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਸਤ ਭਾਇ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥
Aadhar Dhithaa Paarabreham Gur Saeviaa Sath Bhaae Jeeo ||4||
आदरु दिता पारब्रहमि गुरु सेविआ सत भाइ जीउ ॥४॥
The Supreme Lord confers honor and respect on those who serve the Guru with true love. ||4||
ਥਾਨ ਥਨੰਤਰਿ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਰਬ ਜੀਆ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲ ਜੀਉ ॥
Thhaan Thhananthar Rav Rehiaa Sarab Jeeaa Prathipaal Jeeo ||
थान थनंतरि रवि रहिआ सरब जीआ प्रतिपाल जीउ ॥
He is pervading and permeating the spaces and interspaces; He loves and cherishes all beings.
ਸਚੁ ਖਜਾਨਾ ਸੰਚਿਆ ਏਕੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਨੁ ਮਾਲ ਜੀਉ ॥
Sach Khajaanaa Sanchiaa Eaek Naam Dhhan Maal Jeeo ||
सचु खजाना संचिआ एकु नामु धनु माल जीउ ॥
I have accumulated the true treasure, the wealth and riches of the One Name.
ਮਨ ਤੇ ਕਬਹੁ ਨ ਵੀਸਰੈ ਜਾ ਆਪੇ ਹੋਇ ਦਇਆਲ ਜੀਉ ॥੫॥
Man Thae Kabahu N Veesarai Jaa Aapae Hoe Dhaeiaal Jeeo ||5||
मन ते कबहु न वीसरै जा आपे होइ दइआल जीउ ॥५॥
I shall never forget Him from my mind, since He has been so merciful to me. ||5||
ਆਵਣੁ ਜਾਣਾ ਰਹਿ ਗਏ ਮਨਿ ਵੁਠਾ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰੁ ਜੀਉ ॥
Aavan Jaanaa Rehi Geae Man Vuthaa Nirankaar Jeeo ||
आवणु जाणा रहि गए मनि वुठा निरंकारु जीउ ॥
My comings and goings have ended; the Formless Lord now dwells within my mind.
