ਸ੍ਰਵਨੀ ਸੁਨਉ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਵਉ ॥
Sravanee Suno Har Har Harae Thaakur Jas Gaavo ||
स्रवनी सुनउ हरि हरि हरे ठाकुर जसु गावउ ॥
With my ears, I listen to the Lord, Har, Har; I sing the Praises of my Lord and Master.
ਸੰਤ ਚਰਣ ਕਰ ਸੀਸੁ ਧਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵਉ ॥੧॥
Santh Charan Kar Sees Dhhar Har Naam Dhhiaavo ||1||
संत चरण कर सीसु धरि हरि नामु धिआवउ ॥१॥
I place my hands and my head upon the feet of the Saints, and meditate on the Lord's Name. ||1||
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦਇਆਲ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਇਹ ਨਿਧਿ ਸਿਧਿ ਪਾਵਉ ॥
Kar Kirapaa Dhaeiaal Prabh Eih Nidhh Sidhh Paavo ||
करि किरपा दइआल प्रभ इह निधि सिधि पावउ ॥
Be kind to me, O Merciful God, and bless me with this wealth and success.
ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ਰੇਣੁਕਾ ਲੈ ਮਾਥੈ ਲਾਵਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Santh Janaa Kee Raenukaa Lai Maathhai Laavo ||1|| Rehaao ||
संत जना की रेणुका लै माथै लावउ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Obtaining the dust of the feet of the Saints, I apply it to my forehead. ||1||Pause||
ਨੀਚ ਤੇ ਨੀਚੁ ਅਤਿ ਨੀਚੁ ਹੋਇ ਕਰਿ ਬਿਨਉ ਬੁਲਾਵਉ ॥
Neech Thae Neech Ath Neech Hoe Kar Bino Bulaavo ||
नीच ते नीचु अति नीचु होइ करि बिनउ बुलावउ ॥
I am the lowest of the low, absolutely the lowest; I offer my humble prayer.
ਪਾਵ ਮਲੋਵਾ ਆਪੁ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਸੰਤਸੰਗਿ ਸਮਾਵਉ ॥੨॥
Paav Malovaa Aap Thiaag Santhasang Samaavo ||2||
पाव मलोवा आपु तिआगि संतसंगि समावउ ॥२॥
I wash their feet, and renounce my self-conceit; I merge in the Saints' Congregation. ||2||
ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਨਹ ਵੀਸਰੈ ਅਨ ਕਤਹਿ ਨ ਧਾਵਉ ॥
Saas Saas Neh Veesarai An Kathehi N Dhhaavo ||
सासि सासि नह वीसरै अन कतहि न धावउ ॥
With each and every breath, I never forget the Lord; I never go to another.
ਸਫਲ ਦਰਸਨ ਗੁਰੁ ਭੇਟੀਐ ਮਾਨੁ ਮੋਹੁ ਮਿਟਾਵਉ ॥੩॥
Safal Dharasan Gur Bhaetteeai Maan Mohu Mittaavo ||3||
सफल दरसन गुरु भेटीऐ मानु मोहु मिटावउ ॥३॥
Obtaining the Fruitful Vision of the Guru's Darshan, I discard my pride and attachment. ||3||
ਸਤੁ ਸੰਤੋਖੁ ਦਇਆ ਧਰਮੁ ਸੀਗਾਰੁ ਬਨਾਵਉ ॥
Sath Santhokh Dhaeiaa Dhharam Seegaar Banaavo ||
सतु संतोखु दइआ धरमु सीगारु बनावउ ॥
I am embellished with truth, contentment, compassion and Dharmic faith.
ਸਫਲ ਸੁਹਾਗਣਿ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵਉ ॥੪॥੧੫॥੪੫॥
Safal Suhaagan Naanakaa Apunae Prabh Bhaavo ||4||15||45||
सफल सुहागणि नानका अपुने प्रभ भावउ ॥४॥१५॥४५॥
My spiritual marriage is fruitful, O Nanak; I am pleasing to my God. ||4||15||45||

ਅਟਲ ਬਚਨ ਸਾਧੂ ਜਨਾ ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਇਆ ॥
Attal Bachan Saadhhoo Janaa Sabh Mehi Pragattaaeiaa ||
अटल बचन साधू जना सभ महि प्रगटाइआ ॥
The words of the Holy are eternal and unchanging; this is apparent to everyone.
ਜਿਸੁ ਜਨ ਹੋਆ ਸਾਧਸੰਗੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਭੇਟੈ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
Jis Jan Hoaa Saadhhasang This Bhaettai Har Raaeiaa ||1||
जिसु जन होआ साधसंगु तिसु भेटै हरि राइआ ॥१॥
That humble being, who joins the Saadh Sangat, meets the Sovereign Lord. ||1||
ਇਹ ਪਰਤੀਤਿ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਕੀ ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
Eih Paratheeth Govindh Kee Jap Har Sukh Paaeiaa ||
इह परतीति गोविंद की जपि हरि सुखु पाइआ ॥
This faith in the Lord of the Universe, and peace, are found by meditating on the Lord.
ਅਨਿਕ ਬਾਤਾ ਸਭਿ ਕਰਿ ਰਹੇ ਗੁਰੁ ਘਰਿ ਲੈ ਆਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Anik Baathaa Sabh Kar Rehae Gur Ghar Lai Aaeiaa ||1|| Rehaao ||
अनिक बाता सभि करि रहे गुरु घरि लै आइआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Everyone is speaking in various ways, but the Guru has brought the Lord into the home of my self. ||1||Pause||
ਸਰਣਿ ਪਰੇ ਕੀ ਰਾਖਤਾ ਨਾਹੀ ਸਹਸਾਇਆ ॥
Saran Parae Kee Raakhathaa Naahee Sehasaaeiaa ||
सरणि परे की राखता नाही सहसाइआ ॥
He preserves the honor of those who seek His Sanctuary; there is no doubt about this at all.
ਕਰਮ ਭੂਮਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਬੋਇ ਅਉਸਰੁ ਦੁਲਭਾਇਆ ॥੨॥
Karam Bhoom Har Naam Boe Aousar Dhulabhaaeiaa ||2||
करम भूमि हरि नामु बोइ अउसरु दुलभाइआ ॥२॥
In the field of actions and karma, plant the Lord's Name; this opportunity is so difficult to obtain! ||2||
ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਆਪਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਭ ਕਰੇ ਕਰਾਇਆ ॥
Antharajaamee Aap Prabh Sabh Karae Karaaeiaa ||
अंतरजामी आपि प्रभु सभ करे कराइआ ॥
God Himself is the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts; He does, and causes everything to be done.
ਪਤਿਤ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਘਣੇ ਕਰੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਬਿਰਦਾਇਆ ॥੩॥
Pathith Puneeth Ghanae Karae Thaakur Biradhaaeiaa ||3||
पतित पुनीत घणे करे ठाकुर बिरदाइआ ॥३॥
He purifies so many sinners; this is the natural way of our Lord and Master. ||3||
ਮਤ ਭੂਲਹੁ ਮਾਨੁਖ ਜਨ ਮਾਇਆ ਭਰਮਾਇਆ ॥
Math Bhoolahu Maanukh Jan Maaeiaa Bharamaaeiaa ||
मत भूलहु मानुख जन माइआ भरमाइआ ॥
Don't be fooled, O mortal being, by the illusion of Maya.
ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਸੁ ਪਤਿ ਰਾਖਸੀ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਪਹਿਰਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੧੬॥੪੬॥
Naanak This Path Raakhasee Jo Prabh Pehiraaeiaa ||4||16||46||
नानक तिसु पति राखसी जो प्रभि पहिराइआ ॥४॥१६॥४६॥
O Nanak, God saves the honor of those of whom He approves. ||4||16||46||

ਮਾਟੀ ਤੇ ਜਿਨਿ ਸਾਜਿਆ ਕਰਿ ਦੁਰਲਭ ਦੇਹ ॥
Maattee Thae Jin Saajiaa Kar Dhuralabh Dhaeh ||
माटी ते जिनि साजिआ करि दुरलभ देह ॥
He fashioned you from clay, and made your priceless body.
ਅਨਿਕ ਛਿਦ੍ਰ ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਢਕੇ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟੇਹ ॥੧॥
Anik Shhidhr Man Mehi Dtakae Niramal Dhrisattaeh ||1||
अनिक छिद्र मन महि ढके निरमल द्रिसटेह ॥१॥
He covers the many faults in your mind, and makes you look immaculate and pure. ||1||
ਕਿਉ ਬਿਸਰੈ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਨੈ ਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਏਹ ॥
Kio Bisarai Prabh Manai Thae Jis Kae Gun Eaeh ||
किउ बिसरै प्रभु मनै ते जिस के गुण एह ॥
So why do you forget God from your mind? He has done so many good things for you.
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤਜਿ ਰਚੇ ਜਿ ਆਨ ਸਿਉ ਸੋ ਰਲੀਐ ਖੇਹ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Prabh Thaj Rachae J Aan Sio So Raleeai Khaeh ||1|| Rehaao ||
प्रभ तजि रचे जि आन सिउ सो रलीऐ खेह ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
One who forsakes God, and blends himself with another, in the end is blended with dust. ||1||Pause||
ਸਿਮਰਹੁ ਸਿਮਰਹੁ ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਮਤ ਬਿਲਮ ਕਰੇਹ ॥
Simarahu Simarahu Saas Saas Math Bilam Karaeh ||
सिमरहु सिमरहु सासि सासि मत बिलम करेह ॥
Meditate, meditate in remembrance with each and every breath - do not delay!
ਛੋਡਿ ਪ੍ਰਪੰਚੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਿਉ ਰਚਹੁ ਤਜਿ ਕੂੜੇ ਨੇਹ ॥੨॥
Shhodd Prapanch Prabh Sio Rachahu Thaj Koorrae Naeh ||2||
छोडि प्रपंचु प्रभ सिउ रचहु तजि कूड़े नेह ॥२॥
Renounce worldly affairs, and merge yourself into God; forsake false loves. ||2||
ਜਿਨਿ ਅਨਿਕ ਏਕ ਬਹੁ ਰੰਗ ਕੀਏ ਹੈ ਹੋਸੀ ਏਹ ॥
Jin Anik Eaek Bahu Rang Keeeae Hai Hosee Eaeh ||
जिनि अनिक एक बहु रंग कीए है होसी एह ॥
He is many, and He is One; He takes part in the many plays. This is as He is, and shall be.
ਕਰਿ ਸੇਵਾ ਤਿਸੁ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਮਤਿ ਲੇਹ ॥੩॥
Kar Saevaa This Paarabreham Gur Thae Math Laeh ||3||
करि सेवा तिसु पारब्रहम गुर ते मति लेह ॥३॥
So serve that Supreme Lord God, and accept the Guru's Teachings. ||3||
ਊਚੇ ਤੇ ਊਚਾ ਵਡਾ ਸਭ ਸੰਗਿ ਬਰਨੇਹ ॥
Oochae Thae Oochaa Vaddaa Sabh Sang Baranaeh ||
ऊचे ते ऊचा वडा सभ संगि बरनेह ॥
God is said to be the highest of the high, the greatest of all, our companion.
ਦਾਸ ਦਾਸ ਕੋ ਦਾਸਰਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਰਿ ਲੇਹ ॥੪॥੧੭॥੪੭॥
Dhaas Dhaas Ko Dhaasaraa Naanak Kar Laeh ||4||17||47||
दास दास को दासरा नानक करि लेह ॥४॥१७॥४७॥
Please, let Nanak be the slave of the slave of Your slaves. ||4||17||47||

एक टेक गोविंद की तिआगी अन आस ॥
The Lord of the Universe is my only Support. I have renounced all other hopes.
ਸਭ ਊਪਰਿ ਸਮਰਥ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪੂਰਨ ਗੁਣਤਾਸ ॥੧॥
Sabh Oopar Samarathh Prabh Pooran Gunathaas ||1||
सभ ऊपरि समरथ प्रभ पूरन गुणतास ॥१॥
God is All-powerful, above all; He is the perfect treasure of virtue. ||1||
ਜਨ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਧਾਰੁ ਹੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਣੀ ਪਾਹਿ ॥
Jan Kaa Naam Adhhaar Hai Prabh Saranee Paahi ||
जन का नामु अधारु है प्रभ सरणी पाहि ॥
The Naam, the Name of the Lord, is the Support of the humble servant who seeks God's Sanctuary.
ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਕਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਸੰਤਨ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Paramaesar Kaa Aasaraa Santhan Man Maahi ||1|| Rehaao ||
परमेसर का आसरा संतन मन माहि ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
In their minds, the Saints take the Support of the Transcendent Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਆਪਿ ਰਖੈ ਆਪਿ ਦੇਵਸੀ ਆਪੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਰੈ ॥
Aap Rakhai Aap Dhaevasee Aapae Prathipaarai ||
आपि रखै आपि देवसी आपे प्रतिपारै ॥
He Himself preserves, and He Himself gives. He Himself cherishes.
