भागठड़े हरि संत तुम्हारे जिन्ह घरि धनु हरि नामा ॥
Your Saints are very fortunate; their homes are filled with the wealth of the Lord's Name.
ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ਗਣੀ ਸੇਈ ਇਹ ਆਏ ਸਫਲ ਤਿਨਾ ਕੇ ਕਾਮਾ ॥੧॥
Paravaan Ganee Saeee Eih Aaeae Safal Thinaa Kae Kaamaa ||1||
परवाणु गणी सेई इह आए सफल तिना के कामा ॥१॥
Their birth is approved, and their actions are fruitful. ||1||

मेरे राम हरि जन कै हउ बलि जाई ॥
O my Lord, I am a sacrifice to the humble servants of the Lord.
ਕੇਸਾ ਕਾ ਕਰਿ ਚਵਰੁ ਢੁਲਾਵਾ ਚਰਣ ਧੂੜਿ ਮੁਖਿ ਲਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Kaesaa Kaa Kar Chavar Dtulaavaa Charan Dhhoorr Mukh Laaee ||1|| Rehaao ||
केसा का करि चवरु ढुलावा चरण धूड़ि मुखि लाई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
I make my hair into a fan, and wave it over them; I apply the dust of their feet to my face. ||1||Pause||
ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਦੁਹਹੂ ਮਹਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਜਨ ਪਰਉਪਕਾਰੀ ਆਏ ॥
Janam Maran Dhuhehoo Mehi Naahee Jan Paroupakaaree Aaeae ||
जनम मरण दुहहू महि नाही जन परउपकारी आए ॥
Those generous, humble beings are above both birth and death.
ਜੀਅ ਦਾਨੁ ਦੇ ਭਗਤੀ ਲਾਇਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਲੈਨਿ ਮਿਲਾਏ ॥੨॥
Jeea Dhaan Dhae Bhagathee Laaein Har Sio Lain Milaaeae ||2||
जीअ दानु दे भगती लाइनि हरि सिउ लैनि मिलाए ॥२॥
They give the gift of the soul, and practice devotional worship; they inspire others to meet the Lord. ||2||
ਸਚਾ ਅਮਰੁ ਸਚੀ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੀ ਸਚੇ ਸੇਤੀ ਰਾਤੇ ॥
Sachaa Amar Sachee Paathisaahee Sachae Saethee Raathae ||
सचा अमरु सची पातिसाही सचे सेती राते ॥
True are their commands, and true are their empires; they are attuned to the Truth.
ਸਚਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਸਚੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਜਿਸ ਕੇ ਸੇ ਤਿਨਿ ਜਾਤੇ ॥੩॥
Sachaa Sukh Sachee Vaddiaaee Jis Kae Sae Thin Jaathae ||3||
सचा सुखु सची वडिआई जिस के से तिनि जाते ॥३॥
True is their happiness, and true is their greatness. They know the Lord, to whom they belong. ||3||
ਪਖਾ ਫੇਰੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਢੋਵਾ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਕੈ ਪੀਸਣੁ ਪੀਸਿ ਕਮਾਵਾ ॥
Pakhaa Faeree Paanee Dtovaa Har Jan Kai Peesan Pees Kamaavaa ||
पखा फेरी पाणी ढोवा हरि जन कै पीसणु पीसि कमावा ॥
I wave the fan over them, carry water for them, and grind corn for the humble servants of the Lord.
ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪਾਸਿ ਬੇਨੰਤੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਜਨ ਦੇਖਣੁ ਪਾਵਾ ॥੪॥੭॥੫੪॥

पारब्रहम परमेसर सतिगुर आपे करणैहारा ॥
The True Guru is the Transcendent Lord, the Supreme Lord God; He Himself is the Creator Lord.

चरण धूड़ि तेरी सेवकु मागै तेरे दरसन कउ बलिहारा ॥१॥
Your servant begs for the dust of Your feet. I am a sacrifice to the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan. ||1||

O my Sovereign Lord, as You keep me, so do I remain.

मुकति भुगति जुगति तेरी सेवा जिसु तूं आपि कराइहि ॥
Liberation, comfort and proper lifestyle come from serving You; You alone cause us to serve You.
ਤਹਾ ਬੈਕੁੰਠੁ ਜਹ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਸਰਧਾ ਲਾਇਹਿ ॥੨॥
Thehaa Baikunth Jeh Keerathan Thaeraa Thoon Aapae Saradhhaa Laaeihi ||2||
तहा बैकुंठु जह कीरतनु तेरा तूं आपे सरधा लाइहि ॥२॥
That place is heaven, where the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises are sung. You Yourself instill faith into us. ||2||
ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜੀਵਾ ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਹਾਲਾ ॥
Simar Simar Simar Naam Jeevaa Than Man Hoe Nihaalaa ||
सिमरि सिमरि सिमरि नामु जीवा तनु मनु होइ निहाला ॥
Meditating, meditating, meditating in remembrance on the Naam, I live; my mind and body are enraptured.
ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਤੇਰੇ ਧੋਇ ਧੋਇ ਪੀਵਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥੩॥
Charan Kamal Thaerae Dhhoe Dhhoe Peevaa Maerae Sathigur Dheen Dhaeiaalaa ||3||
चरण कमल तेरे धोइ धोइ पीवा मेरे सतिगुर दीन दइआला ॥३॥
I wash Your Lotus Feet, and drink in this water, O my True Guru, O Merciful to the meek. ||3||
ਕੁਰਬਾਣੁ ਜਾਈ ਉਸੁ ਵੇਲਾ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ਜਿਤੁ ਤੁਮਰੈ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਆਇਆ ॥
Kurabaan Jaaee Ous Vaelaa Suhaavee Jith Thumarai Dhuaarai Aaeiaa ||
कुरबाणु जाई उसु वेला सुहावी जितु तुमरै दुआरै आइआ ॥
I am a sacrifice to that most wonderful time when I came to Your Door.
ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਏ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੮॥੫੫॥
Naanak Ko Prabh Bheae Kirapaalaa Sathigur Pooraa Paaeiaa ||4||8||55||
नानक कउ प्रभ भए क्रिपाला सतिगुरु पूरा पाइआ ॥४॥८॥५५॥
God has become compassionate to Nanak; I have found the Perfect True Guru. ||4||8||55||

Thudhh Chith Aaeae Mehaa Anandhaa Jis Visarehi So Mar Jaaeae ||
तुधु चिति आए महा अनंदा जिसु विसरहि सो मरि जाए ॥
When You come to mind, I am totally in bliss. One who forgets You might just as well be dead.
ਦਇਆਲੁ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਜਿਸੁ ਊਪਰਿ ਕਰਤੇ ਸੋ ਤੁਧੁ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਏ ॥੧॥
Dhaeiaal Hovehi Jis Oopar Karathae So Thudhh Sadhaa Dhhiaaeae ||1||
दइआलु होवहि जिसु ऊपरि करते सो तुधु सदा धिआए ॥१॥
That being, whom You bless with Your Mercy, O Creator Lord, constantly meditates on You. ||1||

O my Lord and Master, You are the honor of the dishonored such as me.

अम्रित बचन रिदै उरि धारी तउ किरपा ते संगु पाई ॥२॥
I enshrine Your Ambrosial Word within my heart. By Your Grace, I have found the Company of the Holy. ||2||
ਅੰਤਰ ਕੀ ਗਤਿ ਤੁਧੁ ਪਹਿ ਸਾਰੀ ਤੁਧੁ ਜੇਵਡੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥
Anthar Kee Gath Thudhh Pehi Saaree Thudhh Jaevadd Avar N Koee ||
अंतर की गति तुधु पहि सारी तुधु जेवडु अवरु न कोई ॥
I place the state of my inner being before You; there is no other as great as You.
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਲਾਇ ਲੈਹਿ ਸੋ ਲਾਗੈ ਭਗਤੁ ਤੁਹਾਰਾ ਸੋਈ ॥੩॥
Jis No Laae Laihi So Laagai Bhagath Thuhaaraa Soee ||3||
जिस नो लाइ लैहि सो लागै भगतु तुहारा सोई ॥३॥
He alone is attached, whom You attach; he alone is Your devotee. ||3||
ਦੁਇ ਕਰ ਜੋੜਿ ਮਾਗਉ ਇਕੁ ਦਾਨਾ ਸਾਹਿਬਿ ਤੁਠੈ ਪਾਵਾ ॥
Dhue Kar Jorr Maago Eik Dhaanaa Saahib Thuthai Paavaa ||
दुइ कर जोड़ि मागउ इकु दाना साहिबि तुठै पावा ॥
With my palms pressed together, I beg for this one gift; O my Lord and Master, if it pleases You, I shall obtain it.
ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਆਰਾਧੇ ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾ ॥੪॥੯॥੫੬॥
Saas Saas Naanak Aaraadhhae Aath Pehar Gun Gaavaa ||4||9||56||
सासि सासि नानकु आराधे आठ पहर गुण गावा ॥४॥९॥५६॥
With each and every breath, Nanak adores You; twenty-four hours a day, I sing Your Glorious Praises. ||4||9||56||

जिस के सिर ऊपरि तूं सुआमी सो दुखु कैसा पावै ॥
When You stand over our heads, O Lord and Master, how can we suffer in pain?
ਬੋਲਿ ਨ ਜਾਣੈ ਮਾਇਆ ਮਦਿ ਮਾਤਾ ਮਰਣਾ ਚੀਤਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥੧॥
Bol N Jaanai Maaeiaa Madh Maathaa Maranaa Cheeth N Aavai ||1||
बोलि न जाणै माइआ मदि माता मरणा चीति न आवै ॥१॥
The mortal being does not know how to chant Your Name - he is intoxicated with the wine of Maya, and the thought of death does not even enter his mind. ||1||
