दीन दइआल क्रिपा निधे सासि सासि सम्हारै ॥२॥
Merciful to the meek, the treasure of mercy, He remembers and protects us with each and every breath. ||2||
ਕਰਣਹਾਰੁ ਜੋ ਕਰਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਾਈ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥
Karanehaar Jo Kar Rehiaa Saaee Vaddiaaee ||
करणहारु जो करि रहिआ साई वडिआई ॥
Whatever the Creator Lord does is glorious and great.
ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਉਪਦੇਸਿਆ ਸੁਖੁ ਖਸਮ ਰਜਾਈ ॥੩॥
Gur Poorai Oupadhaesiaa Sukh Khasam Rajaaee ||3||
गुरि पूरै उपदेसिआ सुखु खसम रजाई ॥३॥
The Perfect Guru has instructed me, that peace comes by the Will of our Lord and Master. ||3||
ਚਿੰਤ ਅੰਦੇਸਾ ਗਣਤ ਤਜਿ ਜਨਿ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਪਛਾਤਾ ॥
Chinth Andhaesaa Ganath Thaj Jan Hukam Pashhaathaa ||
चिंत अंदेसा गणत तजि जनि हुकमु पछाता ॥
Anxieties, worries and calculations are dismissed; the Lord's humble servant accepts the Hukam of His Command.
ਨਹ ਬਿਨਸੈ ਨਹ ਛੋਡਿ ਜਾਇ ਨਾਨਕ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ॥੪॥੧੮॥੪੮॥
Neh Binasai Neh Shhodd Jaae Naanak Rang Raathaa ||4||18||48||
नह बिनसै नह छोडि जाइ नानक रंगि राता ॥४॥१८॥४८॥
He does not die, and He does not leave; Nanak is attuned to His Love. ||4||18||48||

Mehaa Thapath Thae Bhee Saanth Parasath Paap Naathae ||
महा तपति ते भई सांति परसत पाप नाठे ॥
The great fire is put out and cooled; meeting with the Guru, sins run away.
ਅੰਧ ਕੂਪ ਮਹਿ ਗਲਤ ਥੇ ਕਾਢੇ ਦੇ ਹਾਥੇ ॥੧॥
Andhh Koop Mehi Galath Thhae Kaadtae Dhae Haathhae ||1||
अंध कूप महि गलत थे काढे दे हाथे ॥१॥
I fell into the deep dark pit; giving me His Hand, He pulled me out. ||1||
ਓਇ ਹਮਾਰੇ ਸਾਜਨਾ ਹਮ ਉਨ ਕੀ ਰੇਨ ॥
Oue Hamaarae Saajanaa Ham Oun Kee Raen ||
ओइ हमारे साजना हम उन की रेन ॥
He is my friend; I am the dust of His Feet.

परा पूरबला लीखिआ मिलिआ अब आइ ॥
I have now received my pre-ordained destiny.

बसत संगि हरि साध कै पूरन आसाइ ॥२॥
Dwelling with the Lord's Holy Saints, my hopes are fulfilled. ||2||
ਭੈ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਤਿਹੁ ਲੋਕ ਕੇ ਪਾਏ ਸੁਖ ਥਾਨ ॥

भै बिनसे तिहु लोक के पाए सुख थान ॥
The fear of the three worlds is dispelled, and I have found my place of rest and peace.
ਦਇਆ ਕਰੀ ਸਮਰਥ ਗੁਰਿ ਬਸਿਆ ਮਨਿ ਨਾਮ ॥੩॥
Dhaeiaa Karee Samarathh Gur Basiaa Man Naam ||3||
दइआ करी समरथ गुरि बसिआ मनि नाम ॥३॥
The all-powerful Guru has taken pity upon me, and the Naam has come to dwell in my mind. ||3||
ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਤੂ ਟੇਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇਰਾ ਆਧਾਰ ॥

Soee Maleen Dheen Heen Jis Prabh Bisaraanaa ||
सोई मलीनु दीनु हीनु जिसु प्रभु बिसराना ॥
One who forgets God is filthy, poor and low.
ਕਰਨੈਹਾਰੁ ਨ ਬੂਝਈ ਆਪੁ ਗਨੈ ਬਿਗਾਨਾ ॥੧॥
Karanaihaar N Boojhee Aap Ganai Bigaanaa ||1||
करनैहारु न बूझई आपु गनै बिगाना ॥१॥
The fool does not understand the Creator Lord; instead, he thinks that he himself is the doer. ||1||
ਦੂਖੁ ਤਦੇ ਜਦਿ ਵੀਸਰੈ ਸੁਖੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਚਿਤਿ ਆਏ ॥
Dhookh Thadhae Jadh Veesarai Sukh Prabh Chith Aaeae ||
दूखु तदे जदि वीसरै सुखु प्रभ चिति आए ॥
Pain comes, when one forgets Him. Peace comes when one remembers God.

ऊचे ते नीचा करै नीच खिन महि थापै ॥
The high, He makes low, and the low, he elevates in an instant.
ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਹੀ ਨ ਜਾਈਐ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਪਰਤਾਪੈ ॥੨॥

कीमति कही न जाईऐ ठाकुर परतापै ॥२॥
The value of the glory of our Lord and Master cannot be estimated. ||2||
ਪੇਖਤ ਲੀਲਾ ਰੰਗ ਰੂਪ ਚਲਨੈ ਦਿਨੁ ਆਇਆ ॥
Paekhath Leelaa Rang Roop Chalanai Dhin Aaeiaa ||
पेखत लीला रंग रूप चलनै दिनु आइआ ॥
While he gazes upon beautiful dramas and plays, the day of his departure dawns.
ਸੁਪਨੇ ਕਾ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਭਇਆ ਸੰਗਿ ਚਲਿਆ ਕਮਾਇਆ ॥੩॥
Supanae Kaa Supanaa Bhaeiaa Sang Chaliaa Kamaaeiaa ||3||
सुपने का सुपना भइआ संगि चलिआ कमाइआ ॥३॥
The dream becomes the dream, and his actions do not go along with him. ||3||
ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਥ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥

God is All-powerful, the Cause of causes; I seek Your Sanctuary.

जलु ढोवउ इह सीस करि कर पग पखलावउ ॥
I carry water on my head, and with my hands I wash their feet.
ਬਾਰਿ ਜਾਉ ਲਖ ਬੇਰੀਆ ਦਰਸੁ ਪੇਖਿ ਜੀਵਾਵਉ ॥੧॥
Baar Jaao Lakh Baereeaa Dharas Paekh Jeevaavo ||1||
बारि जाउ लख बेरीआ दरसु पेखि जीवावउ ॥१॥
Tens of thousands of times, I am a sacrifice to them; gazing upon the Blessed Vision of their Darshan, I live. ||1||
ਕਰਉ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਮਨੈ ਮਾਹਿ ਅਪਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇ ਪਾਵਉ ॥
Karo Manorathh Manai Maahi Apanae Prabh Thae Paavo ||
करउ मनोरथ मनै माहि अपने प्रभ ते पावउ ॥
The hopes which I cherish in my mind - my God fulfills them all.
ਦੇਉ ਸੂਹਨੀ ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਬੀਜਨੁ ਢੋਲਾਵਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Dhaeo Soohanee Saadhh Kai Beejan Dtolaavo ||1|| Rehaao ||
देउ सूहनी साध कै बीजनु ढोलावउ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
With my broom, I sweep the homes of the Holy Saints, and wave the fan over them. ||1||Pause||
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਗੁਣ ਸੰਤ ਬੋਲਤੇ ਸੁਣਿ ਮਨਹਿ ਪੀਲਾਵਉ ॥
Anmrith Gun Santh Bolathae Sun Manehi Peelaavo ||
अम्रित गुण संत बोलते सुणि मनहि पीलावउ ॥
The Saints chant the Ambrosial Praises of the Lord; I listen, and my mind drinks it in.
ਉਆ ਰਸ ਮਹਿ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਹੋਇ ਬਿਖੈ ਜਲਨਿ ਬੁਝਾਵਉ ॥੨॥
Ouaa Ras Mehi Saanth Thripath Hoe Bikhai Jalan Bujhaavo ||2||
उआ रस महि सांति त्रिपति होइ बिखै जलनि बुझावउ ॥२॥
That sublime essence calms and soothes me, and quenches the fire of sin and corruption. ||2||
ਜਬ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਸੰਤ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਮਿਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਗਾਵਉ ॥
Jab Bhagath Karehi Santh Manddalee Thinh Mil Har Gaavo ||
जब भगति करहि संत मंडली तिन्ह मिलि हरि गावउ ॥
When the galaxy of Saints worship the Lord in devotion, I join them, singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord.
ਕਰਉ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਭਗਤ ਜਨ ਧੂਰਿ ਮੁਖਿ ਲਾਵਉ ॥੩॥
Karo Namasakaar Bhagath Jan Dhhoor Mukh Laavo ||3||
करउ नमसकार भगत जन धूरि मुखि लावउ ॥३॥
I bow in reverence to the humble devotees, and apply the dust of their feet to my face. ||3||
ਊਠਤ ਬੈਠਤ ਜਪਉ ਨਾਮੁ ਇਹੁ ਕਰਮੁ ਕਮਾਵਉ ॥
Oothath Baithath Japo Naam Eihu Karam Kamaavo ||
ऊठत बैठत जपउ नामु इहु करमु कमावउ ॥
Sitting down and standing up, I chant the Naam, the Name of the Lord; this is what I do.
ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਸਰਨਿ ਸਮਾਵਉ ॥੪॥੨੧॥੫੧॥

नानक की प्रभ बेनती हरि सरनि समावउ ॥४॥२१॥५१॥
This is Nanak's prayer to God, that he may merge in the Lord's Sanctuary. ||4||21||51||

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਵਸੈ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਪਾਏ ॥੧॥
Saadhhasangath Kai Sang Vasai Vaddabhaagee Paaeae ||1||
साधसंगति कै संगि वसै वडभागी पाए ॥१॥
He dwells with the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy; by great good fortune, he finds the Lord. ||1||
