अपने सेवक कउ कबहु न बिसारहु ॥
Never forget Your servant, O Lord.

पतित पावन प्रभ बिरदु तुम्हारो हमरे दोख रिदै मत धारहु ॥
It is Your Natural Way, God, to purify sinners; please do not keep my errors in Your Heart.

Jeevan Praan Har Dhhan Sukh Thum Hee Houmai Pattal Kirapaa Kar Jaarahu ||1||
जीवन प्रान हरि धनु सुखु तुम ही हउमै पटलु क्रिपा करि जारहु ॥१॥
You are my life, my breath of life, O Lord, my wealth and peace; be merciful to me, and burn away the curtain of egotism. ||1||
ਜਲ ਬਿਹੂਨ ਮੀਨ ਕਤ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੂਧ ਬਿਨਾ ਰਹਨੁ ਕਤ ਬਾਰੋ ॥
Jal Bihoon Meen Kath Jeevan Dhoodhh Binaa Rehan Kath Baaro ||
जल बिहून मीन कत जीवन दूध बिना रहनु कत बारो ॥
Without water, how can the fish survive? Without milk, how can the baby survive?

आगै पाछै कुसलु भइआ ॥
Here, and hereafter, there is happiness.
ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਪੂਰੀ ਸਭ ਰਾਖੀ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕੀਨੀ ਮਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Man Than Rav Rehiaa Har Preetham Dhookh Dharadh Sagalaa Mitt Gaeiaa ||
मनि तनि रवि रहिआ हरि प्रीतमु दूख दरद सगला मिटि गइआ ॥
The Lord, my Beloved, is pervading and permeating my mind and body; all my pains and sufferings are dispelled.
ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸਹਜ ਆਨਦ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ਦੂਤ ਦੁਸਟ ਸਭਿ ਹੋਏ ਖਇਆ ॥੧॥

सांति सहज आनद गुण गाए दूत दुसट सभि होए खइआ ॥१॥
In celestial peace, tranquility and bliss, I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord; my enemies and adversaries have been totally destroyed. ||1||
ਗੁਨੁ ਅਵਗੁਨੁ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕਛੁ ਨ ਬੀਚਾਰਿਓ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਕਰਿ ਲਇਆ ॥
Gun Avagun Prabh Kashh N Beechaariou Kar Kirapaa Apunaa Kar Laeiaa ||
गुनु अवगुनु प्रभि कछु न बीचारिओ करि किरपा अपुना करि लइआ ॥
God has not considered my merits and demerits; in His Mercy, He has made me His own.

Without the Fear of God, and devotional worship, how can anyone cross over the world-ocean?
ਕਰਹੁ ਅਨੁਗ੍ਰਹੁ ਪਤਿਤ ਉਧਾਰਨ ਰਾਖੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਆਪ ਭਰੋਸੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

करहु अनुग्रहु पतित उधारन राखु सुआमी आप भरोसे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

ਸਿਮਰਨੁ ਨਹੀ ਆਵਤ ਫਿਰਤ ਮਦ ਮਾਵਤ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਰਾਤਾ ਸੁਆਨ ਜੈਸੇ ॥
Simaran Nehee Aavath Firath Madh Maavath Bikhiaa Raathaa Suaan Jaisae ||
सिमरनु नही आवत फिरत मद मावत बिखिआ राता सुआन जैसे ॥
The mortal does not remember the Lord in meditation; he wanders around intoxicated by egotism; he is engrossed in corruption like a dog.
ਅਉਧ ਬਿਹਾਵਤ ਅਧਿਕ ਮੋਹਾਵਤ ਪਾਪ ਕਮਾਵਤ ਬੁਡੇ ਐਸੇ ॥੧॥
Aoudhh Bihaavath Adhhik Mohaavath Paap Kamaavath Buddae Aisae ||1||
अउध बिहावत अधिक मोहावत पाप कमावत बुडे ऐसे ॥१॥
Utterly cheated, his life is slipping away; committing sins, he is sinking away. ||1||

सरनि दुख भंजन पुरख निरंजन साधू संगति रवणु जैसे ॥
I have come to Your Sanctuary, Destroyer of pain; O Primal Immaculate Lord, may I dwell upon You in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.

तजि अभिमानु अरु चिंत बिरानी साधह सरन पए ॥
Renouncing egotistical pride and other anxieties, I have sought the Sanctuary of the Holy Saints.
ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰੋ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਤਨ ਤੇ ਰੋਗ ਖਏ ॥੧॥

जपि जपि नामु तुम्हारो प्रीतम तन ते रोग खए ॥१॥
Chanting, meditating on Your Name, O my Beloved, disease is eradicated from my body. ||1||
ਮਹਾ ਮੁਗਧ ਅਜਾਨ ਅਗਿਆਨੀ ਰਾਖੇ ਧਾਰਿ ਦਏ ॥
Mehaa Mugadhh Ajaan Agiaanee Raakhae Dhhaar Dheae ||
महा मुगध अजान अगिआनी राखे धारि दए ॥
Even utterly foolish, ignorant and thoughtless persons have been saved by the Kind Lord.

पीर गई बाधी मनि धीरा मोहिओ अनद धुनी ॥
Pain is gone, and my mind is comforted; the music of bliss fascinates me.
ਉਪਜਿਓ ਚਾਉ ਮਿਲਨ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਰਹਨੁ ਨ ਜਾਇ ਖਿਨੀ ॥੧॥
