गुरमुखि नामु जपै उधरै सो कलि महि घटि घटि नानक माझा ॥४॥३॥५०॥
One who, as Gurmukh, chants the Naam, the Name of the Lord, is saved. In this Dark Age of Kali Yuga, O Nanak, God is permeating the hearts of each and every being. ||4||3||50||

Jo Kishh Karai Soee Prabh Maanehi Oue Raam Naam Rang Raathae ||
जो किछु करै सोई प्रभ मानहि ओइ राम नाम रंगि राते ॥
Whatever God causes to happen is accepted, by those who are attuned to the Love of the Lord's Name.

Kott Apraadhhee Santhasang Oudhharai Jam Thaa Kai Naerr N Aavai ||
कोटि अप्राधी संतसंगि उधरै जमु ता कै नेड़ि न आवै ॥
Millions of sinners have been saved in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy; the Messenger of Death does not even approach them.
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕਾ ਬਿਛੁੜਿਆ ਹੋਵੈ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਆਣਿ ਮਿਲਾਵੈ ॥੨॥
Janam Janam Kaa Bishhurriaa Hovai Thinh Har Sio Aan Milaavai ||2||
जनम जनम का बिछुड़िआ होवै तिन्ह हरि सिउ आणि मिलावै ॥२॥
Those who have been separated from the Lord, for countless incarnations, are reunited with the Lord again. ||2||
ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹ ਭਰਮੁ ਭਉ ਕਾਟੈ ਸੰਤ ਸਰਣਿ ਜੋ ਆਵੈ ॥
Maaeiaa Moh Bharam Bho Kaattai Santh Saran Jo Aavai ||
माइआ मोह भरमु भउ काटै संत सरणि जो आवै ॥
Attachment to Maya, doubt and fear are eradicated, when one enters the Sanctuary of the Saints.
ਜੇਹਾ ਮਨੋਰਥੁ ਕਰਿ ਆਰਾਧੇ ਸੋ ਸੰਤਨ ਤੇ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੩॥
Jaehaa Manorathh Kar Aaraadhhae So Santhan Thae Paavai ||3||
जेहा मनोरथु करि आराधे सो संतन ते पावै ॥३॥
Whatever wishes one harbors, are obtained from the Saints. ||3||
ਜਨ ਕੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਕੇਤਕ ਬਰਨਉ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਪਨੇ ਭਾਣੇ ॥
Jan Kee Mehimaa Kaethak Barano Jo Prabh Apanae Bhaanae ||
जन की महिमा केतक बरनउ जो प्रभ अपने भाणे ॥
How can I describe the glory of the Lord's humble servants? They are pleasing to their God.

कहु नानक जिन सतिगुरु भेटिआ से सभ ते भए निकाणे ॥४॥४॥५१॥

Mehaa Agan Thae Thudhh Haathh Dhae Raakhae Peae Thaeree Saranaaee ||
महा अगनि ते तुधु हाथ दे राखे पए तेरी सरणाई ॥
Giving me Your Hand, You saved me from the terrible fire, when I sought Your Sanctuary.

अंध कूप ते काढि लीए तुम्ह आपि भए किरपाला ॥
You pulled me up out of the deep, dark pit. You have become merciful to me.

सारि सम्हालि सरब सुख दीए आपि करे प्रतिपाला ॥२॥
You care for me, and bless me with total peace; You Yourself cherish me. ||2||
ਆਪਣੀ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਬੰਧਨ ਕਾਟਿ ਛਡਾਏ ॥

आपणी नदरि करे परमेसरु बंधन काटि छडाए ॥
The Transcendent Lord has blessed me with His Glance of Grace; breaking my bonds, He has delivered me.
ਆਪਣੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪਿ ਕਰਾਈ ਆਪੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਾਏ ॥੩॥

आपणी भगति प्रभि आपि कराई आपे सेवा लाए ॥३॥
God Himself inspires me to worship Him; He Himself inspires me to serve Him. ||3||

Bharam Gaeiaa Bhai Moh Binaasae Mittiaa Sagal Visooraa ||
भरमु गइआ भै मोह बिनासे मिटिआ सगल विसूरा ॥
My doubts have gone, my fears and infatuations have been dispelled, and all my sorrows are gone.

जब कछु न सीओ तब किआ करता कवन करम करि आइआ ॥
When nothing existed, what deeds were being done? And what karma caused anyone to be born at all?
ਅਪਨਾ ਖੇਲੁ ਆਪਿ ਕਰਿ ਦੇਖੈ ਠਾਕੁਰਿ ਰਚਨੁ ਰਚਾਇਆ ॥੧॥

अपना खेलु आपि करि देखै ठाकुरि रचनु रचाइआ ॥१॥
The Lord Himself set His play in motion, and He Himself beholds it. He created the Creation. ||1||

ਗਣਤੀ ਗਣੀ ਨ ਛੂਟੈ ਕਤਹੂ ਕਾਚੀ ਦੇਹ ਇਆਣੀ ॥

गणती गणी न छूटै कतहू काची देह इआणी ॥
If my account were to be judged, I would never be saved. My body is transitory and ignorant.
ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਰਣੈਹਾਰੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਬਖਸ ਨਿਰਾਲੀ ॥੨॥

क्रिपा करहु प्रभ करणैहारे तेरी बखस निराली ॥२॥

जीअ जंत सभ तेरे कीते घटि घटि तुही धिआईऐ ॥
You created all beings and creatures. Each and every heart meditates on You.
ਤੇਰੀ ਗਤਿ ਮਿਤਿ ਤੂਹੈ ਜਾਣਹਿ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਕੀਮ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ॥੩॥

तेरी गति मिति तूहै जाणहि कुदरति कीम न पाईऐ ॥३॥
Your condition and expanse are known only to You; the value of Your creative omnipotence cannot be estimated. ||3||
ਨਿਰਗੁਣੁ ਮੁਗਧੁ ਅਜਾਣੁ ਅਗਿਆਨੀ ਕਰਮ ਧਰਮ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਣਾ ॥
Niragun Mugadhh Ajaan Agiaanee Karam Dhharam Nehee Jaanaa ||
निरगुणु मुगधु अजाणु अगिआनी करम धरम नही जाणा ॥
I am worthless, foolish, thoughtless and ignorant. I know nothing about good actions and righteous living.
ਦਇਆ ਕਰਹੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਮਿਠਾ ਲਗੈ ਤੇਰਾ ਭਾਣਾ ॥੪॥੬॥੫੩॥

दइआ करहु नानकु गुण गावै मिठा लगै तेरा भाणा ॥४॥६॥५३॥
