ਹਰਿਚੰਦਉਰੀ ਚਿਤ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਸਖੀਏ ਮ੍ਰਿਗ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਦ੍ਰੁਮ ਛਾਇਆ ॥
Harichandhouree Chith Bhram Sakheeeae Mrig Thrisanaa Dhraam Shhaaeiaa ||
हरिचंदउरी चित भ्रमु सखीए म्रिग त्रिसना द्रुम छाइआ ॥
Maya is a mirage, which deludes the mind, O my companion, like the scent-crazed deer, or the transitory shade of a tree.
ਚੰਚਲਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਚਾਲਤੀ ਸਖੀਏ ਅੰਤਿ ਤਜਿ ਜਾਵਤ ਮਾਇਆ ॥
Chanchal Sang N Chaalathee Sakheeeae Anth Thaj Jaavath Maaeiaa ||
चंचलि संगि न चालती सखीए अंति तजि जावत माइआ ॥
Maya is fickle, and does not go with you, O my companion; in the end, it will leave you.
ਰਸਿ ਭੋਗਣ ਅਤਿ ਰੂਪ ਰਸ ਮਾਤੇ ਇਨ ਸੰਗਿ ਸੂਖੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
Ras Bhogan Ath Roop Ras Maathae Ein Sang Sookh N Paaeiaa ||
रसि भोगण अति रूप रस माते इन संगि सूखु न पाइआ ॥
He may enjoy pleasures and sensual delights with supremely beautiful women, but no one finds peace in this way.
ਧੰਨਿ ਧੰਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਾਧ ਜਨ ਸਖੀਏ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਨੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥੨॥
Dhhann Dhhann Har Saadhh Jan Sakheeeae Naanak Jinee Naam Dhhiaaeiaa ||2||
धंनि धंनि हरि साध जन सखीए नानक जिनी नामु धिआइआ ॥२॥
Blessed, blessed are the humble, Holy Saints of the Lord, O my companion. O Nanak, they meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||2||
ਜਾਇ ਬਸਹੁ ਵਡਭਾਗਣੀ ਸਖੀਏ ਸੰਤਾ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਮਾਈਐ ॥
Jaae Basahu Vaddabhaaganee Sakheeeae Santhaa Sang Samaaeeai ||
जाइ बसहु वडभागणी सखीए संता संगि समाईऐ ॥
Go, O my very fortunate companion: dwell in the Company of the Saints, and merge with the Lord.
ਤਹ ਦੂਖ ਨ ਭੂਖ ਨ ਰੋਗੁ ਬਿਆਪੈ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈਐ ॥
Theh Dhookh N Bhookh N Rog Biaapai Charan Kamal Liv Laaeeai ||
तह दूख न भूख न रोगु बिआपै चरन कमल लिव लाईऐ ॥
There, neither pain nor hunger nor disease will afflict you; enshrine love for the Lord's Lotus Feet.
ਤਹ ਜਨਮ ਨ ਮਰਣੁ ਨ ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣਾ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਸਰਣੀ ਪਾਈਐ ॥
Theh Janam N Maran N Aavan Jaanaa Nihachal Saranee Paaeeai ||
तह जनम न मरणु न आवण जाणा निहचलु सरणी पाईऐ ॥
There is no birth or death there, no coming or going in reincarnation, when you enter the Sanctuary of the Eternal Lord.
ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਬਿਛੋਹੁ ਨ ਮੋਹੁ ਬਿਆਪੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਏਕੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ ॥੩॥

प्रेम बिछोहु न मोहु बिआपै नानक हरि एकु धिआईऐ ॥३॥
Love does not end, and attachment does not grip you, O Nanak, when you meditate on the One Lord. ||3||
ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਧਾਰਿ ਮਨੁ ਬੇਧਿਆ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਰਤੜੇ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਏ ॥
Dhrisatt Dhhaar Man Baedhhiaa Piaarae Ratharrae Sehaj Subhaaeae ||
द्रिसटि धारि मनु बेधिआ पिआरे रतड़े सहजि सुभाए ॥
Bestowing His Glance of Grace, my Beloved has pierced my mind, and I am intuitively attuned to His Love.
ਸੇਜ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਅਨਦ ਮੰਗਲ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ॥
Saej Suhaavee Sang Mil Preetham Anadh Mangal Gun Gaaeae ||
सेज सुहावी संगि मिलि प्रीतम अनद मंगल गुण गाए ॥
My bed is embellished, meeting with my Beloved; in ecstasy and bliss, I sing His Glorious Praises.
ਸਖੀ ਸਹੇਲੀ ਰਾਮ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੀ ਮਨ ਤਨ ਇਛ ਪੁਜਾਏ ॥
Sakhee Sehaelee Raam Rang Raathee Man Than Eishh Pujaaeae ||
सखी सहेली राम रंगि राती मन तन इछ पुजाए ॥
O my friends and companions, I am imbued with the Lord's Love; the desires of my mind and body are satisfied.
ਨਾਨਕ ਅਚਰਜੁ ਅਚਰਜ ਸਿਉ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਕਹਣਾ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਜਾਏ ॥੪॥੨॥੫॥

He manifests many forms, while still unmanifest and absolute, and yet He has One Form.

आपे जलु आप ही तरंगा ॥२॥
He Himself is the water, and He Himself is the waves. ||2||
ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮੰਦਰੁ ਆਪਹਿ ਸੇਵਾ ॥
Aap Hee Mandhar Aapehi Saevaa ||
आप ही मंदरु आपहि सेवा ॥
He Himself is the temple, and He Himself is selfless service.
ਆਪ ਹੀ ਪੂਜਾਰੀ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਦੇਵਾ ॥੩॥
Aap Hee Poojaaree Aap Hee Dhaevaa ||3||
आप ही पूजारी आप ही देवा ॥३॥
He Himself is the worshipper, and He Himself is the idol. ||3||
ਆਪਹਿ ਜੋਗ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜੁਗਤਾ ॥

आपहि जोग आप ही जुगता ॥
He Himself is the Yoga; He Himself is the Way.

आपि करावन दोसु न लैना ॥१॥
He Himself causes all to act; He takes no blame Himself. ||1||
ਆਪਨ ਬਚਨੁ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਕਰਨਾ ॥
Aapan Bachan Aap Hee Karanaa ||
आपन बचनु आप ही करना ॥
He Himself is the teaching, and He Himself is the teacher.

आप ही अछलु न जाई छलना ॥२॥
He Himself is undeceivable; He cannot be deceived. ||2||

आप ही गुपत आपि परगटना ॥
He Himself is hidden, and He Himself is manifest.
ਆਪ ਹੀ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਆਪਿ ਅਲਿਪਨਾ ॥੩॥
Aap Hee Ghatt Ghatt Aap Alipanaa ||3||
आप ही घटि घटि आपि अलिपना ॥३॥
He Himself is in each and every heart; He Himself is unattached. ||3||
ਆਪੇ ਅਵਿਗਤੁ ਆਪ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਚਨਾ ॥
Aapae Avigath Aap Sang Rachanaa ||
आपे अविगतु आप संगि रचना ॥
He Himself is absolute, and He Himself is with the Universe.

ऐसा गुरु वडभागी पाइआ ॥१॥
Such a Guru is found by great good fortune. ||1||

सिमरि मना राम नामु चितारे ॥
