मिटे अंधारे तजे बिकारे ठाकुर सिउ मनु माना ॥
Darkness has been eliminated, and I have renounced corruption and sin. My mind is reconciled with my Lord and Master.

I have become pleasing to my Dear God, and I have become carefree. My life is fulfilled and approved.

भई अमोली भारा तोली मुकति जुगति दरु खोल्हा ॥
I have become invaluable, of tremendous weight and value. The Door, and the Path of liberation are open to me now.

साजनु पुरखु सतिगुरु मेरा पूरा तिसु बिनु अवरु न जाणा राम ॥
My Perfect True Guru is my Best Friend, the Primal Being. I do not know any other than Him, Lord.

Maath Pithaa Bhaaee Suth Bandhhap Jeea Praan Man Bhaanaa Raam ||
मात पिता भाई सुत बंधप जीअ प्राण मनि भाणा राम ॥
He is my mother, father, sibling, child, relative, soul and breath of life. He is so pleasing to my mind, O Lord.
ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਸਭੁ ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਦੀਆ ਸਰਬ ਗੁਣਾ ਭਰਪੂਰੇ ॥
Jeeo Pindd Sabh This Kaa Dheeaa Sarab Gunaa Bharapoorae ||
जीउ पिंडु सभु तिस का दीआ सरब गुणा भरपूरे ॥
My body and soul are all His blessings. He is overflowing with every quality of virtue.
ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਰਬ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਰਪੂਰੇ ॥
Antharajaamee So Prabh Maeraa Sarab Rehiaa Bharapoorae ||
अंतरजामी सो प्रभु मेरा सरब रहिआ भरपूरे ॥
My God is the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts. He is totally permeating and pervading everywhere.
ਤਾ ਕੀ ਸਰਣਿ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਸਰਬ ਕਲਿਆਣਾ ॥
Thaa Kee Saran Sarab Sukh Paaeae Hoeae Sarab Kaliaanaa ||
ता की सरणि सरब सुख पाए होए सरब कलिआणा ॥
In His Sanctuary, I receive every comfort and pleasure. I am totally, completely happy.

Aisaa Gur Vaddabhaagee Paaeeai Jith Miliai Prabh Jaapai Raam ||
ऐसा गुरु वडभागी पाईऐ जितु मिलिऐ प्रभु जापै राम ॥
By great good fortune, one finds such a Guru, meeting whom, the Lord God is known.
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਉਤਰਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤ ਧੂੜੀ ਨਿਤ ਨਾਪੈ ਰਾਮ ॥
Janam Janam Kae Kilavikh Outharehi Har Santh Dhhoorree Nith Naapai Raam ||
जनम जनम के किलविख उतरहि हरि संत धूड़ी नित नापै राम ॥
The sins of countless lifetimes are erased, bathing continually in the dust of the feet of God's Saints.
ਹਰਿ ਧੂੜੀ ਨਾਈਐ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਬਾਹੁੜਿ ਜੋਨਿ ਨ ਆਈਐ ॥
Har Dhhoorree Naaeeai Prabhoo Dhhiaaeeai Baahurr Jon N Aaeeai ||
हरि धूड़ी नाईऐ प्रभू धिआईऐ बाहुड़ि जोनि न आईऐ ॥
Bathing in the dust of the feet of the Lord, and meditating on God, you shall not have to enter into the womb of reincarnation again.
ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣੀ ਲਾਗੇ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਭਉ ਭਾਗੇ ਮਨਿ ਚਿੰਦਿਆ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਈਐ ॥
Gur Charanee Laagae Bhram Bho Bhaagae Man Chindhiaa Fal Paaeeai ||
गुर चरणी लागे भ्रम भउ भागे मनि चिंदिआ फलु पाईऐ ॥
Grasping hold of the Guru's Feet, doubt and fear are dispelled, and you receive the fruits of your mind's desires.
ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਨਿਤ ਗਾਏ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਏ ਫਿਰਿ ਸੋਗੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਸੰਤਾਪੈ ॥
Har Gun Nith Gaaeae Naam Dhhiaaeae Fir Sog Naahee Santhaapai ||
हरि गुण नित गाए नामु धिआए फिरि सोगु नाही संतापै ॥
Continually singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, and meditating on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, you shall no longer suffer in pain and sorrow.
ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਜੀਅ ਕਾ ਦਾਤਾ ਪੂਰਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਪਰਤਾਪੈ ॥੨॥

नानक सो प्रभु जीअ का दाता पूरा जिसु परतापै ॥२॥

हरि हरे हरि गुण निधे हरि संतन कै वसि आए राम ॥
The Lord, Har, Har, is the treasure of virtue; the Lord is under the power of His Saints.
ਸੰਤ ਚਰਣ ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਾਗੇ ਤਿਨੀ ਪਰਮ ਪਦ ਪਾਏ ਰਾਮ ॥
Santh Charan Gur Saevaa Laagae Thinee Param Padh Paaeae Raam ||
संत चरण गुर सेवा लागे तिनी परम पद पाए राम ॥
Those who are dedicated to the feet of the Saints, and to serving the Guru, obtain the supreme status, O Lord.
ਪਰਮ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਆਪੁ ਮਿਟਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ॥
Param Padh Paaeiaa Aap Mittaaeiaa Har Pooran Kirapaa Dhhaaree ||
परम पदु पाइआ आपु मिटाइआ हरि पूरन किरपा धारी ॥
They obtain the supreme status, and eradicate self-conceit; the Perfect Lord showers His Grace upon them.
ਸਫਲ ਜਨਮੁ ਹੋਆ ਭਉ ਭਾਗਾ ਹਰਿ ਭੇਟਿਆ ਏਕੁ ਮੁਰਾਰੀ ॥
Safal Janam Hoaa Bho Bhaagaa Har Bhaettiaa Eaek Muraaree ||
सफल जनमु होआ भउ भागा हरि भेटिआ एकु मुरारी ॥
Their lives are fruitful, their fears are dispelled, and they meet the One Lord, the Destroyer of ego.
ਜਿਸ ਕਾ ਸਾ ਤਿਨ ਹੀ ਮੇਲਿ ਲੀਆ ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਮਾਇਆ ॥
Jis Kaa Saa Thin Hee Mael Leeaa Jothee Joth Samaaeiaa ||
जिस का सा तिन ही मेलि लीआ जोती जोति समाइआ ॥
He blends into the One, to whom he belongs; his light merges into the Light.
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਜਪੀਐ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੩॥
Naanak Naam Niranjan Japeeai Mil Sathigur Sukh Paaeiaa ||3||
नानक नामु निरंजन जपीऐ मिलि सतिगुर सुखु पाइआ ॥३॥
O Nanak, chant the Naam, the Name of the Immaculate Lord; meeting the True Guru, peace is obtained. ||3||
ਗਾਉ ਮੰਗਲੋ ਨਿਤ ਹਰਿ ਜਨਹੁ ਪੁੰਨੀ ਇਛ ਸਬਾਈ ਰਾਮ ॥
Gaao Mangalo Nith Har Janahu Punnee Eishh Sabaaee Raam ||
गाउ मंगलो नित हरि जनहु पुंनी इछ सबाई राम ॥
Sing continually the songs of joy, O humble beings of the Lord; all your desires shall be fulfilled.
ਰੰਗਿ ਰਤੇ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸੇਤੀ ਮਰੈ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਜਾਈ ਰਾਮ ॥
Rang Rathae Apunae Suaamee Saethee Marai N Aavai Jaaee Raam ||
रंगि रते अपुने सुआमी सेती मरै न आवै जाई राम ॥
Those who are imbued with the Love of their Lord and Master do not die, or come or go in reincarnation.
ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਪਾਇਆ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਸਗਲ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪਾਏ ॥
Abinaasee Paaeiaa Naam Dhhiaaeiaa Sagal Manorathh Paaeae ||
अबिनासी पाइआ नामु धिआइआ सगल मनोरथ पाए ॥
The Imperishable Lord is obtained, meditating on the Naam, and all one's wishes are fulfilled.
ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸਹਜ ਆਨੰਦ ਘਨੇਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣੀ ਮਨੁ ਲਾਏ ॥
Saanth Sehaj Aanandh Ghanaerae Gur Charanee Man Laaeae ||
सांति सहज आनंद घनेरे गुर चरणी मनु लाए ॥
Peace, poise, and all ecstasy are obtained, attaching one's mind to the Guru's feet.
ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਥਾਨ ਥਨੰਤਰਿ ਸਾਈ ॥
Poor Rehiaa Ghatt Ghatt Abinaasee Thhaan Thhananthar Saaee ||
पूरि रहिआ घटि घटि अबिनासी थान थनंतरि साई ॥
The Imperishable Lord is permeating and pervading each and every heart; He is in all places and interspaces.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਾਰਜ ਸਗਲੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣੀ ਮਨੁ ਲਾਈ ॥੪॥੨॥੫॥

कहु नानक कारज सगले पूरे गुर चरणी मनु लाई ॥४॥२॥५॥

Kar Kirapaa Maerae Preetham Suaamee Naethr Dhaekhehi Dharas Thaeraa Raam ||
करि किरपा मेरे प्रीतम सुआमी नेत्र देखहि दरसु तेरा राम ॥
Be Merciful, O my Beloved Lord and Master, that I may behold the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan with my eyes.
ਲਾਖ ਜਿਹਵਾ ਦੇਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਮੁਖੁ ਹਰਿ ਆਰਾਧੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
Laakh Jihavaa Dhaehu Maerae Piaarae Mukh Har Aaraadhhae Maeraa Raam ||
लाख जिहवा देहु मेरे पिआरे मुखु हरि आराधे मेरा राम ॥
Please bless me, O my Beloved, with thousands of tongues, to worship and adore You with my mouth, O Lord.
ਹਰਿ ਆਰਾਧੇ ਜਮ ਪੰਥੁ ਸਾਧੇ ਦੂਖੁ ਨ ਵਿਆਪੈ ਕੋਈ ॥
Har Aaraadhhae Jam Panthh Saadhhae Dhookh N Viaapai Koee ||
हरि आराधे जम पंथु साधे दूखु न विआपै कोई ॥
Worshipping the Lord in adoration, the Path of Death is overcome, and no pain or suffering will afflict you.
ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਜਤ ਦੇਖਾ ਤਤ ਸੋਈ ॥
Jal Thhal Meheeal Pooran Suaamee Jath Dhaekhaa Thath Soee ||
जलि थलि महीअलि पूरन सुआमी जत देखा तत सोई ॥
The Lord and Master is pervading and permeating the water, the land and the sky; wherever I look, there He is.
ਭਰਮ ਮੋਹ ਬਿਕਾਰ ਨਾਠੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਨੇਰ ਹੂ ਤੇ ਨੇਰਾ ॥
Bharam Moh Bikaar Naathae Prabh Naer Hoo Thae Naeraa ||
भरम मोह बिकार नाठे प्रभु नेर हू ते नेरा ॥
Doubt, attachment and corruption are gone. God is the nearest of the near.
