नानक साजन कउ बलि जाईऐ साचि मिले घरि आए ॥१॥
O Nanak, I am a sacrifice to my Friend; He has come home to meet with those who are true. ||1||
ਘਰਿ ਆਇਅੜੇ ਸਾਜਨਾ ਤਾ ਧਨ ਖਰੀ ਸਰਸੀ ਰਾਮ ॥
Ghar Aaeiarrae Saajanaa Thaa Dhhan Kharee Sarasee Raam ||
घरि आइअड़े साजना ता धन खरी सरसी राम ॥
When her Friend comes to her home, the bride is very pleased.
ਹਰਿ ਮੋਹਿਅੜੀ ਸਾਚ ਸਬਦਿ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਦੇਖਿ ਰਹੰਸੀ ਰਾਮ ॥
Har Mohiarree Saach Sabadh Thaakur Dhaekh Rehansee Raam ||
हरि मोहिअड़ी साच सबदि ठाकुर देखि रहंसी राम ॥
She is fascinated with the True Word of the Lord's Shabad; gazing upon her Lord and Master, she is filled with joy.
ਗੁਣ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਹੰਸੀ ਖਰੀ ਸਰਸੀ ਜਾ ਰਾਵੀ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੈ ॥
Gun Sang Rehansee Kharee Sarasee Jaa Raavee Rang Raathai ||
गुण संगि रहंसी खरी सरसी जा रावी रंगि रातै ॥
She is filled with virtuous joy, and is totally pleased, when she is ravished and enjoyed by her Lord, and imbued with His Love.
ਅਵਗਣ ਮਾਰਿ ਗੁਣੀ ਘਰੁ ਛਾਇਆ ਪੂਰੈ ਪੁਰਖਿ ਬਿਧਾਤੈ ॥
Avagan Maar Gunee Ghar Shhaaeiaa Poorai Purakh Bidhhaathai ||
अवगण मारि गुणी घरु छाइआ पूरै पुरखि बिधातै ॥
Her faults and demerits are eradicated, and she roofs her home with virtue, through the Perfect Lord, the Architect of Destiny.
ਤਸਕਰ ਮਾਰਿ ਵਸੀ ਪੰਚਾਇਣਿ ਅਦਲੁ ਕਰੇ ਵੀਚਾਰੇ ॥
Thasakar Maar Vasee Panchaaein Adhal Karae Veechaarae ||
तसकर मारि वसी पंचाइणि अदलु करे वीचारे ॥
Conquering the thieves, she dwells as the mistress of her home, and administers justice wisely.
ਨਾਨਕ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮਿ ਨਿਸਤਾਰਾ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਮਿਲਹਿ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥੨॥
Naanak Raam Naam Nisathaaraa Guramath Milehi Piaarae ||2||
नानक राम नामि निसतारा गुरमति मिलहि पिआरे ॥२॥
O Nanak, through the Lord's Name, she is emancipated; through the Guru's Teachings, she meets her Beloved. ||2||

वरु पाइअड़ा बालड़ीए आसा मनसा पूरी राम ॥
The young bride has found her Husband Lord; her hopes and desires are fulfilled.
ਪਿਰਿ ਰਾਵਿਅੜੀ ਸਬਦਿ ਰਲੀ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਨਹ ਦੂਰੀ ਰਾਮ ॥
Pir Raaviarree Sabadh Ralee Rav Rehiaa Neh Dhooree Raam ||
पिरि राविअड़ी सबदि रली रवि रहिआ नह दूरी राम ॥
She enjoys and ravishes her Husband Lord, and blends into the Word of the Shabad, pervading and permeating everywhere; the Lord is not far away.
ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਦੂਰਿ ਨ ਹੋਈ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਸੋਈ ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਨਾਰਿ ਸਬਾਈ ॥
Prabh Dhoor N Hoee Ghatt Ghatt Soee This Kee Naar Sabaaee ||
प्रभु दूरि न होई घटि घटि सोई तिस की नारि सबाई ॥
God is not far away; He is in each and every heart. All are His brides.
ਆਪੇ ਰਸੀਆ ਆਪੇ ਰਾਵੇ ਜਿਉ ਤਿਸ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥
Aapae Raseeaa Aapae Raavae Jio This Dhee Vaddiaaee ||
आपे रसीआ आपे रावे जिउ तिस दी वडिआई ॥
He Himself is the Enjoyer, He Himself ravishes and enjoys; this is His glorious greatness.
ਅਮਰ ਅਡੋਲੁ ਅਮੋਲੁ ਅਪਾਰਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਸਚੁ ਪਾਈਐ ॥
Amar Addol Amol Apaaraa Gur Poorai Sach Paaeeai ||
अमर अडोलु अमोलु अपारा गुरि पूरै सचु पाईऐ ॥
He is imperishable, immovable, invaluable and infinite. The True Lord is obtained through the Perfect Guru.
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਪੇ ਜੋਗ ਸਜੋਗੀ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈਐ ॥੩॥

नानक आपे जोग सजोगी नदरि करे लिव लाईऐ ॥३॥
O Nanak, He Himself unites in Union; by His Glance of Grace, He lovingly attunes them to Himself. ||3||

पिरु उचड़ीऐ माड़ड़ीऐ तिहु लोआ सिरताजा राम ॥
My Husband Lord dwells in the loftiest balcony; He is the Supreme Lord of the three worlds.
ਹਉ ਬਿਸਮ ਭਈ ਦੇਖਿ ਗੁਣਾ ਅਨਹਦ ਸਬਦ ਅਗਾਜਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
Ho Bisam Bhee Dhaekh Gunaa Anehadh Sabadh Agaajaa Raam ||
हउ बिसम भई देखि गुणा अनहद सबद अगाजा राम ॥
I am amazed, gazing upon His glorious excellence; the unstruck sound current of the Shabad vibrates and resonates.
ਸਬਦੁ ਵੀਚਾਰੀ ਕਰਣੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਨੀਸਾਣੋ ॥
Sabadh Veechaaree Karanee Saaree Raam Naam Neesaano ||
सबदु वीचारी करणी सारी राम नामु नीसाणो ॥
I contemplate the Shabad, and perform sublime deeds; I am blessed with the insignia, the banner of the Lord's Name.
ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਖੋਟੇ ਨਹੀ ਠਾਹਰ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਤਨੁ ਪਰਵਾਣੋ ॥
Naam Binaa Khottae Nehee Thaahar Naam Rathan Paravaano ||
नाम बिना खोटे नही ठाहर नामु रतनु परवाणो ॥
Without the Naam, the Name of the Lord, the false find no place of rest; only the jewel of the Naam brings acceptance and renown.
ਪਤਿ ਮਤਿ ਪੂਰੀ ਪੂਰਾ ਪਰਵਾਨਾ ਨਾ ਆਵੈ ਨਾ ਜਾਸੀ ॥
Path Math Pooree Pooraa Paravaanaa Naa Aavai Naa Jaasee ||
पति मति पूरी पूरा परवाना ना आवै ना जासी ॥
Perfect is my honor, perfect is my intellect and password. I shall not have to come or go.

The One who created the world, watches over it; He enjoins the people of the world to their tasks.
ਦਾਨਿ ਤੇਰੈ ਘਟਿ ਚਾਨਣਾ ਤਨਿ ਚੰਦੁ ਦੀਪਾਇਆ ॥
Dhaan Thaerai Ghatt Chaananaa Than Chandh Dheepaaeiaa ||
दानि तेरै घटि चानणा तनि चंदु दीपाइआ ॥
Your gifts, O Lord, illuminate the heart, and the moon casts its light on the body.
ਚੰਦੋ ਦੀਪਾਇਆ ਦਾਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਦੁਖੁ ਅੰਧੇਰਾ ਉਠਿ ਗਇਆ ॥
Chandho Dheepaaeiaa Dhaan Har Kai Dhukh Andhhaeraa Outh Gaeiaa ||
चंदो दीपाइआ दानि हरि कै दुखु अंधेरा उठि गइआ ॥
The moon glows, by the Lord's gift, and the darkness of suffering is taken away.
ਗੁਣ ਜੰਞ ਲਾੜੇ ਨਾਲਿ ਸੋਹੈ ਪਰਖਿ ਮੋਹਣੀਐ ਲਇਆ ॥
Gun Jannj Laarrae Naal Sohai Parakh Mohaneeai Laeiaa ||
गुण जंञ लाड़े नालि सोहै परखि मोहणीऐ लइआ ॥
The marriage party of virtue looks beautiful with the Groom; He chooses His enticing bride with care.
ਵੀਵਾਹੁ ਹੋਆ ਸੋਭ ਸੇਤੀ ਪੰਚ ਸਬਦੀ ਆਇਆ ॥
Veevaahu Hoaa Sobh Saethee Panch Sabadhee Aaeiaa ||
वीवाहु होआ सोभ सेती पंच सबदी आइआ ॥
The wedding is performed with glorious splendor; He has arrived, accompanied by the vibrations of the Panch Shabad, the Five Primal Sounds.

Eihu Than Jin Sio Gaaddiaa Man Leearraa Dheethaa ||
इहु तनु जिन सिउ गाडिआ मनु लीअड़ा दीता ॥
This body is attached to them, and we have shared our minds.
ਲੀਆ ਤ ਦੀਆ ਮਾਨੁ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਸਿਉ ਸੇ ਸਜਨ ਕਿਉ ਵੀਸਰਹਿ ॥
Leeaa Th Dheeaa Maan Jinh Sio Sae Sajan Kio Veesarehi ||
लीआ त दीआ मानु जिन्ह सिउ से सजन किउ वीसरहि ॥
We have shared our minds - how could I forget those friends?
ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਦਿਸਿ ਆਇਆ ਹੋਹਿ ਰਲੀਆ ਜੀਅ ਸੇਤੀ ਗਹਿ ਰਹਹਿ ॥
Jinh Dhis Aaeiaa Hohi Raleeaa Jeea Saethee Gehi Rehehi ||
जिन्ह दिसि आइआ होहि रलीआ जीअ सेती गहि रहहि ॥
Seeing them brings joy to my heart; I keep them clasped to my soul.
ਸਗਲ ਗੁਣ ਅਵਗਣੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਹਿ ਨੀਤਾ ਨੀਤਾ ॥
Sagal Gun Avagan N Koee Hohi Neethaa Neethaa ||
सगल गुण अवगणु न कोई होहि नीता नीता ॥
They have all virtues and merits, forever and ever; they have no demerits or faults at all.
ਹਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਸਾਜਨਾ ਮੀਤਾ ਅਵਰੀਤਾ ॥੨॥

One who has a basket of fragrant virtues, should enjoy its fragrance.
ਜੇ ਗੁਣ ਹੋਵਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ ਸਾਜਨਾ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਝ ਕਰੀਜੈ ॥
Jae Gun Hovanih Saajanaa Mil Saajh Kareejai ||
जे गुण होवन्हि साजना मिलि साझ करीजै ॥
If my friends have virtues, I will share in them.
ਸਾਝ ਕਰੀਜੈ ਗੁਣਹ ਕੇਰੀ ਛੋਡਿ ਅਵਗਣ ਚਲੀਐ ॥

साझ करीजै गुणह केरी छोडि अवगण चलीऐ ॥
