अंदरहु दुरमति दूजी खोई सो जनु हरि लिव लागा ॥
One who eliminates evil-mindedness and duality from within himself, that humble being lovingly focuses his mind on the Lord.
ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕੀਨੀ ਮੇਰੈ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤਿਨ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ॥
Jin Ko Kirapaa Keenee Maerai Suaamee Thin Anadhin Har Gun Gaaeae ||
जिन कउ क्रिपा कीनी मेरै सुआमी तिन अनदिनु हरि गुण गाए ॥
Those, upon whom my Lord and Master bestows His Grace, sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, night and day.
ਸੁਣਿ ਮਨ ਭੀਨੇ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਏ ॥੨॥

सुणि मन भीने सहजि सुभाए ॥२॥
Hearing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, I am intuitively drenched with His Love. ||2||

जुग महि राम नामु निसतारा ॥

गुर ते उपजै सबदु वीचारा ॥

ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੁ ਵੀਚਾਰਾ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਪਾਏ ॥
Gur Sabadh Veechaaraa Raam Naam Piaaraa Jis Kirapaa Karae S Paaeae ||
गुर सबदु वीचारा राम नामु पिआरा जिसु किरपा करे सु पाए ॥
Contemplating the Guru's Shabad, one comes to love the Lord's Name; he alone obtains it, unto whom the Lord shows Mercy.
ਸਹਜੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਸਭਿ ਗਵਾਏ ॥
Sehajae Gun Gaavai Dhin Raathee Kilavikh Sabh Gavaaeae ||
सहजे गुण गावै दिनु राती किलविख सभि गवाए ॥
In peace and poise, he sings the Lord's Praises day and night, and all sins are eradicated.
ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਤੇਰਾ ਤੂ ਸਭਨਾ ਕਾ ਹਉ ਤੇਰਾ ਤੂ ਹਮਾਰਾ ॥
Sabh Ko Thaeraa Thoo Sabhanaa Kaa Ho Thaeraa Thoo Hamaaraa ||
सभु को तेरा तू सभना का हउ तेरा तू हमारा ॥
All are Yours, and You belong to all. I am Yours, and You are mine.
ਜੁਗ ਮਹਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਸਤਾਰਾ ॥੩॥

जुग महि राम नामु निसतारा ॥३॥

हरि गुण गाइ सदा त्रिपतासी फिरि भूख न लागै आए ॥

ਦਹ ਦਿਸਿ ਪੂਜ ਹੋਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਏ ॥
Dheh Dhis Pooj Hovai Har Jan Kee Jo Har Har Naam Dhhiaaeae ||
दह दिसि पूज होवै हरि जन की जो हरि हरि नामु धिआए ॥
That humble servant of the Lord, who meditates on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is worshipped in the ten directions.
ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਜੋੜਿ ਵਿਛੋੜੇ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਕੋ ਦੂਜਾ ਨਾਹੀ ॥
Naanak Har Aapae Jorr Vishhorrae Har Bin Ko Dhoojaa Naahee ||
नानक हरि आपे जोड़ि विछोड़े हरि बिनु को दूजा नाही ॥
O Nanak, He Himself joins and separates; there is no other than the Lord.

भगत जना की हरि जीउ राखै जुगि जुगि रखदा आइआ राम ॥
The Dear Lord protects His humble devotees; throughout the ages, He has protected them.
ਸੋ ਭਗਤੁ ਜੋ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਹਉਮੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਜਲਾਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥
So Bhagath Jo Guramukh Hovai Houmai Sabadh Jalaaeiaa Raam ||
सो भगतु जो गुरमुखि होवै हउमै सबदि जलाइआ राम ॥
Those devotees who become Gurmukh burn away their ego, through the Word of the Shabad.
ਹਉਮੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਜਲਾਇਆ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਇਆ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਸਾਚੀ ਬਾਣੀ ॥
Houmai Sabadh Jalaaeiaa Maerae Har Bhaaeiaa Jis Dhee Saachee Baanee ||
हउमै सबदि जलाइआ मेरे हरि भाइआ जिस दी साची बाणी ॥
Those who burn away their ego through the Shabad, become pleasing to my Lord; their speech becomes True.
ਸਚੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਆਖਿ ਵਖਾਣੀ ॥
Sachee Bhagath Karehi Dhin Raathee Guramukh Aakh Vakhaanee ||
सची भगति करहि दिनु राती गुरमुखि आखि वखाणी ॥
They perform the Lord's true devotional service, day and night, as the Guru has instructed them.
ਭਗਤਾ ਕੀ ਚਾਲ ਸਚੀ ਅਤਿ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਚਾ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਇਆ ॥
Bhagathaa Kee Chaal Sachee Ath Niramal Naam Sachaa Man Bhaaeiaa ||
भगता की चाल सची अति निरमल नामु सचा मनि भाइआ ॥
The devotees' lifestyle is true, and absolutely pure; the True Name is pleasing to their minds.
ਨਾਨਕ ਭਗਤ ਸੋਹਹਿ ਦਰਿ ਸਾਚੈ ਜਿਨੀ ਸਚੋ ਸਚੁ ਕਮਾਇਆ ॥੧॥

नानक भगत सोहहि दरि साचै जिनी सचो सचु कमाइआ ॥१॥
O Nanak, the those devotees, who practice Truth, and only Truth, look beauteous in the Court of the True Lord. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਾ ਕੀ ਜਾਤਿ ਪਤਿ ਹੈ ਭਗਤ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਣੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
Har Bhagathaa Kee Jaath Path Hai Bhagath Har Kai Naam Samaanae Raam ||
हरि भगता की जाति पति है भगत हरि कै नामि समाणे राम ॥
The Lord is the social class and honor of His devotees; the Lord's devotees merge in the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਵਹਿ ਜਿਨ ਗੁਣ ਅਵਗਣ ਪਛਾਣੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
Har Bhagath Karehi Vichahu Aap Gavaavehi Jin Gun Avagan Pashhaanae Raam ||
हरि भगति करहि विचहु आपु गवावहि जिन गुण अवगण पछाणे राम ॥
They worship the Lord in devotion, and eradicate self-conceit from within themselves; they understand merits and demerits.
ਗੁਣ ਅਉਗਣ ਪਛਾਣੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਖਾਣੈ ਭੈ ਭਗਤਿ ਮੀਠੀ ਲਾਗੀ ॥
Gun Aougan Pashhaanai Har Naam Vakhaanai Bhai Bhagath Meethee Laagee ||
गुण अउगण पछाणै हरि नामु वखाणै भै भगति मीठी लागी ॥
They understand merits and demerits, and chant the Lord's Name; devotional worship is sweet to them.
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਘਰ ਹੀ ਮਹਿ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ॥
Anadhin Bhagath Karehi Dhin Raathee Ghar Hee Mehi Bairaagee ||
अनदिनु भगति करहि दिनु राती घर ही महि बैरागी ॥
Night and day, they perform devotional worship, day and night, and in the home of the self, they remain detached.
ਭਗਤੀ ਰਾਤੇ ਸਦਾ ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਵੇਖਹਿ ਸਦਾ ਨਾਲੇ ॥
Bhagathee Raathae Sadhaa Man Niramal Har Jeeo Vaekhehi Sadhaa Naalae ||
भगती राते सदा मनु निरमलु हरि जीउ वेखहि सदा नाले ॥
Imbued with devotion, their minds remain forever immaculate and pure; they see their Dear Lord always with them.
ਨਾਨਕ ਸੇ ਭਗਤ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਦਰਿ ਸਾਚੇ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਲੇ ॥੨॥

नानक से भगत हरि कै दरि साचे अनदिनु नामु सम्हाले ॥२॥
O Nanak, those devotees are True in the Court of the Lord; night and day, they dwell upon the Naam. ||2||

Manamukh Bhagath Karehi Bin Sathigur Vin Sathigur Bhagath N Hoee Raam ||
मनमुख भगति करहि बिनु सतिगुर विणु सतिगुर भगति न होई राम ॥
The self-willed manmukhs practice devotional rituals without the True Guru, but without the True Guru, there is no devotion.
ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਇਆ ਰੋਗਿ ਵਿਆਪੇ ਮਰਿ ਜਨਮਹਿ ਦੁਖੁ ਹੋਈ ਰਾਮ ॥
Houmai Maaeiaa Rog Viaapae Mar Janamehi Dhukh Hoee Raam ||
हउमै माइआ रोगि विआपे मरि जनमहि दुखु होई राम ॥
They are afflicted with the diseases of egotism and Maya, and they suffer the pains of death and rebirth.
ਮਰਿ ਜਨਮਹਿ ਦੁਖੁ ਹੋਈ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਪਰਜ ਵਿਗੋਈ ਵਿਣੁ ਗੁਰ ਤਤੁ ਨ ਜਾਨਿਆ ॥
Mar Janamehi Dhukh Hoee Dhoojai Bhaae Paraj Vigoee Vin Gur Thath N Jaaniaa ||
मरि जनमहि दुखु होई दूजै भाइ परज विगोई विणु गुर ततु न जानिआ ॥
The world suffers the pains of death and rebirth, and through the love of duality, it is ruined; without the Guru, the essence of reality is not known.
ਭਗਤਿ ਵਿਹੂਣਾ ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਭਰਮਿਆ ਅੰਤਿ ਗਇਆ ਪਛੁਤਾਨਿਆ ॥
Bhagath Vihoonaa Sabh Jag Bharamiaa Anth Gaeiaa Pashhuthaaniaa ||
भगति विहूणा सभु जगु भरमिआ अंति गइआ पछुतानिआ ॥
Without devotional worship, everyone in the world is deluded and confused, and in the end, they depart with regrets.
