ਦੀਨੁ ਛਡਾਇ ਦੁਨੀ ਜੋ ਲਾਏ ॥
Dheen Shhaddaae Dhunee Jo Laaeae ||
दीनु छडाइ दुनी जो लाए ॥
One who withdraws from God's Path, and attaches himself to the world
ਦੁਹੀ ਸਰਾਈ ਖੁਨਾਮੀ ਕਹਾਏ ॥੧॥
Dhuhee Saraaee Khunaamee Kehaaeae ||1||
दुही सराई खुनामी कहाए ॥१॥
Is known as a sinner in both worlds. ||1||
ਜੋ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੋ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥
Jo This Bhaavai So Paravaan ||
जो तिसु भावै सो परवाणु ॥
He alone is approved, who pleases the Lord.
ਆਪਣੀ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਆਪੇ ਜਾਣੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

आपणी कुदरति आपे जाणु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Only He Himself knows His creative omnipotence. ||1||Pause||
ਸਚਾ ਧਰਮੁ ਪੁੰਨੁ ਭਲਾ ਕਰਾਏ ॥
Sachaa Dhharam Punn Bhalaa Karaaeae ||
सचा धरमु पुंनु भला कराए ॥
One who practices truth, righteous living, charity and good deeds,
ਦੀਨ ਕੈ ਤੋਸੈ ਦੁਨੀ ਨ ਜਾਏ ॥੨॥
Dheen Kai Thosai Dhunee N Jaaeae ||2||
दीन कै तोसै दुनी न जाए ॥२॥
Has the supplies for God's Path. Worldly success shall not fail him. ||2||
ਸਰਬ ਨਿਰੰਤਰਿ ਏਕੋ ਜਾਗੈ ॥
Sarab Niranthar Eaeko Jaagai ||
सरब निरंतरि एको जागै ॥
Within and among all, the One Lord is awake.
ਜਿਤੁ ਜਿਤੁ ਲਾਇਆ ਤਿਤੁ ਤਿਤੁ ਕੋ ਲਾਗੈ ॥੩॥
Jith Jith Laaeiaa Thith Thith Ko Laagai ||3||
जितु जितु लाइआ तितु तितु को लागै ॥३॥
As He attaches us, so are we attached. ||3||
ਅਗਮ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਸਚੁ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਮੇਰਾ ॥
Agam Agochar Sach Saahib Maeraa ||
अगम अगोचरु सचु साहिबु मेरा ॥
You are inaccessible and unfathomable, O my True Lord and Master.
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਬੋਲੈ ਬੋਲਾਇਆ ਤੇਰਾ ॥੪॥੨੩॥੨੯॥

प्रातहकालि हरि नामु उचारी ॥
In the early hours of the morning, I chant the Lord's Name.
ਈਤ ਊਤ ਕੀ ਓਟ ਸਵਾਰੀ ॥੧॥
Eeth Ooth Kee Outt Savaaree ||1||
ईत ऊत की ओट सवारी ॥१॥
I have fashioned a shelter for myself, hear and hereafter. ||1||
ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਜਪੀਐ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ॥
Sadhaa Sadhaa Japeeai Har Naam ||
सदा सदा जपीऐ हरि नाम ॥
Forever and ever, I chant the Lord's Name
ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਮਨ ਕੇ ਕਾਮ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Pooran Hovehi Man Kae Kaam ||1|| Rehaao ||
पूरन होवहि मन के काम ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
And the desires of my mind are fulfilled. ||1||Pause||
ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਰੈਣਿ ਦਿਨੁ ਗਾਉ ॥
Prabh Abinaasee Rain Dhin Gaao ||
प्रभु अबिनासी रैणि दिनु गाउ ॥
Sing the Praises of the Eternal, Imperishable Lord God, night and day.
ਜੀਵਤ ਮਰਤ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਥਾਉ ॥੨॥
Jeevath Marath Nihachal Paavehi Thhaao ||2||
जीवत मरत निहचलु पावहि थाउ ॥२॥
In life, and in death, you shall find your eternal, unchanging home. ||2||
ਸੋ ਸਾਹੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਜਿਤੁ ਤੋਟਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥

सो साहु सेवि जितु तोटि न आवै ॥
So serve the Sovereign Lord, and you shall never lack anything.
ਖਾਤ ਖਰਚਤ ਸੁਖਿ ਅਨਦਿ ਵਿਹਾਵੈ ॥੩॥

खात खरचत सुखि अनदि विहावै ॥३॥
While eating and consuming, you shall pass your life in peace. ||3||
ਜਗਜੀਵਨ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
Jagajeevan Purakh Saadhhasang Paaeiaa ||
जगजीवन पुरखु साधसंगि पाइआ ॥
O Life of the World, O Primal Being, I have found the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.

दुख बिनसे पूरन भई घाल ॥१॥
My pains are taken away, and my works are perfectly completed. ||1||

पेखि पेखि जीवा दरसु तुम्हारा ॥
Gazing upon, beholding the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan, I live;

Poorab Karam Likhath Dhhur Paaee ||2||
पूरब करमि लिखत धुरि पाई ॥२॥
By the karma of my past actions and my pre-ordained destiny. ||2||
ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਚਰਜੁ ਪਰਤਾਪ ॥

जपि हरि हरि नामु अचरजु परताप ॥
Chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har; how wondrous is His glory!
ਜਾਲਿ ਨ ਸਾਕਹਿ ਤੀਨੇ ਤਾਪ ॥੩॥

जालि न साकहि तीने ताप ॥३॥
The three types of illness cannot consume it. ||3||

सुणि बेनती प्रभ दीन दइआला ॥
Hear my prayer, O God, O Merciful to the meek.
ਸਾਧ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਗੁਣ ਸਦਾ ਰਸਾਲਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

साध गावहि गुण सदा रसाला ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

Your meditation and remembrance is life-giving, God.

Jis Kirapaa Karehi Basehi This Naeraa ||2||
जिसु क्रिपा करहि बसहि तिसु नेरा ॥२॥
You dwell near those upon whom You show mercy. ||2||
ਜਨ ਕੀ ਭੂਖ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਹਾਰੁ ॥

जन की भूख तेरा नामु अहारु ॥
Your Name is the food to satisfy the hunger of Your humble servants.
ਤੂੰ ਦਾਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦੇਵਣਹਾਰੁ ॥੩॥

तूं दाता प्रभ देवणहारु ॥३॥
You are the Great Giver, O Lord God. ||3||

Your life is slipping away, but you never even notice.
ਮਿਥਿਆ ਮੋਹ ਬੰਧਹਿ ਨਿਤ ਪਾਰਚ ॥੧॥
Mithhiaa Moh Bandhhehi Nith Paarach ||1||
मिथिआ मोह बंधहि नित पारच ॥१॥
You are constantly entangled in false attachments and conflicts. ||1||
ਮਾਧਵੇ ਭਜੁ ਦਿਨ ਨਿਤ ਰੈਣੀ ॥
Maadhhavae Bhaj Dhin Nith Rainee ||
माधवे भजु दिन नित रैणी ॥
Meditate, vibrate constantly, day and night, on the Lord.
ਜਨਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਜੀਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਰਣੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Janam Padhaarathh Jeeth Har Saranee ||1|| Rehaao ||
जनमु पदारथु जीति हरि सरणी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
You shall be victorious in this priceless human life, in the Protection of the Lord's Sanctuary. ||1||Pause||
ਕਰਤ ਬਿਕਾਰ ਦੋਊ ਕਰ ਝਾਰਤ ॥
Karath Bikaar Dhooo Kar Jhaarath ||
करत बिकार दोऊ कर झारत ॥
You eagerly commit sins and practice corruption,
ਰਾਮ ਰਤਨੁ ਰਿਦ ਤਿਲੁ ਨਹੀ ਧਾਰਤ ॥੨॥
Raam Rathan Ridh Thil Nehee Dhhaarath ||2||
राम रतनु रिद तिलु नही धारत ॥२॥
But you do not enshrine the jewel of the Lord's Name within your heart, even for an instant. ||2||
