Your Glories are uncounted, O God, my Lord and Master.

Mohi Anaathh Thumaree Saranaaee ||
मोहि अनाथ तुमरी सरणाई ॥
I am an orphan, entering Your Sanctuary.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਨ ਧਿਆਈ ॥੧॥
Kar Kirapaa Har Charan Dhhiaaee ||1||
करि किरपा हरि चरन धिआई ॥१॥
Have Mercy on me, O Lord, that I may meditate on Your Feet. ||1||
ਦਇਆ ਕਰਹੁ ਬਸਹੁ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥
Dhaeiaa Karahu Basahu Man Aae ||
दइआ करहु बसहु मनि आइ ॥
Take pity upon me, and abide within my mind;
ਮੋਹਿ ਨਿਰਗੁਨ ਲੀਜੈ ਲੜਿ ਲਾਇ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Mohi Niragun Leejai Larr Laae || Rehaao ||
मोहि निरगुन लीजै लड़ि लाइ ॥ रहाउ ॥
I am worthless - please let me grasp hold of the hem of Your robe. ||1||Pause||
ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਚਿਤਿ ਆਵੈ ਤਾ ਕੈਸੀ ਭੀੜ ॥
Prabh Chith Aavai Thaa Kaisee Bheerr ||
प्रभु चिति आवै ता कैसी भीड़ ॥
When God comes into my consciousness, what misfortune can strike me?
ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਕ ਨਾਹੀ ਜਮ ਪੀੜ ॥
Har Saevak Naahee Jam Peerr ||
हरि सेवक नाही जम पीड़ ॥
The Lord's servant does not suffer pain from the Messenger of Death.
ਸਰਬ ਦੂਖ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਨਸੇ ॥
Sarab Dhookh Har Simarath Nasae ||
सरब दूख हरि सिमरत नसे ॥
All pains are dispelled, when one remembers the Lord in meditation;
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਬਸੈ ॥੨॥
Jaa Kai Sang Sadhaa Prabh Basai ||2||
जा कै संगि सदा प्रभु बसै ॥२॥
God abides with him forever. ||2||
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਆਧਾਰੁ ॥
Prabh Kaa Naam Man Than Aadhhaar ||
प्रभ का नामु मनि तनि आधारु ॥
The Name of God is the Support of my mind and body.
ਬਿਸਰਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੋਵਤ ਤਨੁ ਛਾਰੁ ॥
Bisarath Naam Hovath Than Shhaar ||
बिसरत नामु होवत तनु छारु ॥
Forgetting the Naam, the Name of the Lord, the body is reduced to ashes.
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਚਿਤਿ ਆਏ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਭ ਕਾਜ ॥
Prabh Chith Aaeae Pooran Sabh Kaaj ||
प्रभ चिति आए पूरन सभ काज ॥
When God comes into my consciousness, all my affairs are resolved.
ਹਰਿ ਬਿਸਰਤ ਸਭ ਕਾ ਮੁਹਤਾਜ ॥੩॥
Har Bisarath Sabh Kaa Muhathaaj ||3||
हरि बिसरत सभ का मुहताज ॥३॥
Forgetting the Lord, one becomes subservient to all. ||3||

I am in love with the Lotus Feet of the Lord.

बिसरि गई सभ दुरमति रीति ॥
I am rid of all evil-minded ways.
ਮਨ ਤਨ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਤ ॥

मन तन अंतरि हरि हरि मंत ॥
The Mantra of the Lord's Name, Har, Har, is deep within my mind and body.

सतिगुरु पूरा जे मिलै पिआरे सो जनु होत निहाला ॥
One who meets with the Perfect True Guru, O Beloved, that humble person is enraptured.
ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਸੋ ਕਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਹੋਇ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥
Gur Kee Saevaa So Karae Piaarae Jis No Hoe Dhaeiaalaa ||
गुर की सेवा सो करे पिआरे जिस नो होइ दइआला ॥
He alone serves the Guru, O Beloved, unto whom the Lord becomes merciful.

सफल मूरति गुरदेउ सुआमी सरब कला भरपूरे ॥
Fruitful is the form of the Divine Guru, O Lord and Master; He is overflowing with all powers.
ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਹਜੂਰੇ ॥੧॥

नानक गुरु पारब्रहमु परमेसरु सदा सदा हजूरे ॥१॥
O Nanak, the Guru is the Supreme Lord God, the Transcendent Lord; He is ever-present, forever and ever. ||1||
ਸੁਣਿ ਸੁਣਿ ਜੀਵਾ ਸੋਇ ਤਿਨਾ ਕੀ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਜਾਤਾ ॥
Sun Sun Jeevaa Soe Thinaa Kee Jinh Apunaa Prabh Jaathaa ||
सुणि सुणि जीवा सोइ तिना की जिन्ह अपुना प्रभु जाता ॥
I live by hearing, hearing of those who know their God.
ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਰਾਧਹਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਖਾਣਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੇ ਹੀ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਤਾ ॥
Har Naam Araadhhehi Naam Vakhaanehi Har Naamae Hee Man Raathaa ||
हरि नामु अराधहि नामु वखाणहि हरि नामे ही मनु राता ॥
They contemplate the Lord's Name, they chant the Lord's Name, and their minds are imbued with the Lord's Name.
ਸੇਵਕੁ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਮਾਗੈ ਪੂਰੈ ਕਰਮਿ ਕਮਾਵਾ ॥
Saevak Jan Kee Saevaa Maagai Poorai Karam Kamaavaa ||
सेवकु जन की सेवा मागै पूरै करमि कमावा ॥
I am Your servant; I beg to serve Your humble servants. By the karma of perfect destiny, I do this.
ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਬੇਨੰਤੀ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਜਨ ਦੇਖਣੁ ਪਾਵਾ ॥੨॥
Naanak Kee Baenanthee Suaamee Thaerae Jan Dhaekhan Paavaa ||2||
नानक की बेनंती सुआमी तेरे जन देखणु पावा ॥२॥
This is Nanak's prayer: O my Lord and Master, may I obtain the Blessed Vision of Your humble servants. ||2||
ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਸੇ ਕਾਢੀਅਹਿ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਸੰਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਜਿਨਾ ਵਾਸੋ ॥
Vaddabhaagee Sae Kaadteeahi Piaarae Santhasangath Jinaa Vaaso ||
वडभागी से काढीअहि पिआरे संतसंगति जिना वासो ॥
They are said to be very fortunate, O Beloved, who who dwell in the Society of the Saints.
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਰਾਧੀਐ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਮਨੈ ਹੋਵੈ ਪਰਗਾਸੋ ॥
Anmrith Naam Araadhheeai Niramal Manai Hovai Paragaaso ||
अम्रित नामु अराधीऐ निरमलु मनै होवै परगासो ॥
They contemplate the Immaculate, Ambrosial Naam, and their minds are illuminated.
ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਦੁਖੁ ਕਾਟੀਐ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਚੂਕੈ ਜਮ ਕੀ ਕਾਣੇ ॥
Janam Maran Dhukh Kaatteeai Piaarae Chookai Jam Kee Kaanae ||
जनम मरण दुखु काटीऐ पिआरे चूकै जम की काणे ॥
The pains of birth and death are eradicated, O Beloved, and the fear of the Messenger of Death is ended.
ਤਿਨਾ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਪਣੇ ਭਾਣੇ ॥੩॥
Thinaa Paraapath Dharasan Naanak Jo Prabh Apanae Bhaanae ||3||
तिना परापति दरसनु नानक जो प्रभ अपणे भाणे ॥३॥
They alone obtain the Blessed Vision of this Darshan, O Nanak, who are pleasing to their God. ||3||
ਊਚ ਅਪਾਰ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕਉਣੁ ਜਾਣੈ ਗੁਣ ਤੇਰੇ ॥
Ooch Apaar Baeanth Suaamee Koun Jaanai Gun Thaerae ||
ऊच अपार बेअंत सुआमी कउणु जाणै गुण तेरे ॥
O my lofty, incomparable and infinite Lord and Master, who can know Your Glorious Virtues?
ਗਾਵਤੇ ਉਧਰਹਿ ਸੁਣਤੇ ਉਧਰਹਿ ਬਿਨਸਹਿ ਪਾਪ ਘਨੇਰੇ ॥
Gaavathae Oudhharehi Sunathae Oudhharehi Binasehi Paap Ghanaerae ||
गावते उधरहि सुणते उधरहि बिनसहि पाप घनेरे ॥
Those who sing them are saved, and those who listen to them are saved; all their sins are erased.
ਪਸੂ ਪਰੇਤ ਮੁਗਧ ਕਉ ਤਾਰੇ ਪਾਹਨ ਪਾਰਿ ਉਤਾਰੈ ॥
Pasoo Paraeth Mugadhh Ko Thaarae Paahan Paar Outhaarai ||
पसू परेत मुगध कउ तारे पाहन पारि उतारै ॥
You save the beasts, demons and fools, and even stones are carried across.
ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਣਾਈ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ॥੪॥੧॥੪॥
Naanak Dhaas Thaeree Saranaaee Sadhaa Sadhaa Balihaarai ||4||1||4||
नानक दास तेरी सरणाई सदा सदा बलिहारै ॥४॥१॥४॥
Slave Nanak seeks Your Sanctuary; he is forever and ever a sacrifice to You. ||4||1||4||

Bikhai Ban Feekaa Thiaag Ree Sakheeeae Naam Mehaa Ras Peeou ||
बिखै बनु फीका तिआगि री सखीए नामु महा रसु पीओ ॥
Renounce the tasteless water of corruption, O my companion, and drink in the supreme nectar of the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
ਬਿਨੁ ਰਸ ਚਾਖੇ ਬੁਡਿ ਗਈ ਸਗਲੀ ਸੁਖੀ ਨ ਹੋਵਤ ਜੀਓ ॥
Bin Ras Chaakhae Budd Gee Sagalee Sukhee N Hovath Jeeou ||
बिनु रस चाखे बुडि गई सगली सुखी न होवत जीओ ॥
Without the taste of this nectar, all have drowned, and their souls have not found happiness.
ਮਾਨੁ ਮਹਤੁ ਨ ਸਕਤਿ ਹੀ ਕਾਈ ਸਾਧਾ ਦਾਸੀ ਥੀਓ ॥
Maan Mehath N Sakath Hee Kaaee Saadhhaa Dhaasee Thheeou ||
मानु महतु न सकति ही काई साधा दासी थीओ ॥
You have no honor, glory or power - become the slave of the Holy Saints.
