बाहरि ढूढन ते छूटि परे गुरि घर ही माहि दिखाइआ था ॥
I have quit searching outside; the Guru has shown me that God is within the home of my own heart.

अदिसटु अगोचरु पारब्रहमु मिलि साधू अकथु कथाइआ था ॥
The Supreme Lord God is imperceptible and unfathomable; meeting the Holy Saint, I speak the Unspoken Speech.
ਅਨਹਦ ਸਬਦੁ ਦਸਮ ਦੁਆਰਿ ਵਜਿਓ ਤਹ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਚੁਆਇਆ ਥਾ ॥੨॥
Anehadh Sabadh Dhasam Dhuaar Vajiou Theh Anmrith Naam Chuaaeiaa Thhaa ||2||
अनहद सबदु दसम दुआरि वजिओ तह अम्रित नामु चुआइआ था ॥२॥
The unstruck sound current of the Shabad vibrates and resounds in the Tenth Gate; the Ambrosial Naam trickles down there. ||2||
ਤੋਟਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਮਨਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਬੂਝੀ ਅਖੁਟ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਸਮਾਇਆ ਥਾ ॥
Thott Naahee Man Thrisanaa Boojhee Akhutt Bhanddaar Samaaeiaa Thhaa ||
तोटि नाही मनि त्रिसना बूझी अखुट भंडार समाइआ था ॥
I lack nothing; the thirsty desires of my mind are satisfied. The inexhaustible treasure has entered into my being.

चरण चरण चरण गुर सेवे अघड़ु घड़िओ रसु पाइआ था ॥३॥
I serve the feet, the feet, the feet of the Guru, and manage the unmanageable. I have found the juice, the sublime essence. ||3||
ਸਹਜੇ ਆਵਾ ਸਹਜੇ ਜਾਵਾ ਸਹਜੇ ਮਨੁ ਖੇਲਾਇਆ ਥਾ ॥
Sehajae Aavaa Sehajae Jaavaa Sehajae Man Khaelaaeiaa Thhaa ||
सहजे आवा सहजे जावा सहजे मनु खेलाइआ था ॥
Intuitively I come, and intuively I go; my mind intuitively plays.

कहु नानक भरमु गुरि खोइआ ता हरि महली महलु पाइआ था ॥४॥३॥१२॥
Says Nanak, when the Guru drives out doubt, then the soul-bride enters the Mansion of the Lord's Presence. ||4||3||12||

Jisehi Saaj Nivaajiaa Thisehi Sio Ruch Naahi ||
जिसहि साजि निवाजिआ तिसहि सिउ रुच नाहि ॥
You feel no love for the One who created and embellished you.
ਆਨ ਰੂਤੀ ਆਨ ਬੋਈਐ ਫਲੁ ਨ ਫੂਲੈ ਤਾਹਿ ॥੧॥
Aan Roothee Aan Boeeai Fal N Foolai Thaahi ||1||
आन रूती आन बोईऐ फलु न फूलै ताहि ॥१॥
The seed, planted out season, does not germinate; it does not produce flower or fruit. ||1||

रे मन वत्र बीजण नाउ ॥
O mind, this is the time to plant the seed of the Name.
ਬੋਇ ਖੇਤੀ ਲਾਇ ਮਨੂਆ ਭਲੋ ਸਮਉ ਸੁਆਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Boe Khaethee Laae Manooaa Bhalo Samo Suaao ||1|| Rehaao ||
बोइ खेती लाइ मनूआ भलो समउ सुआउ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Focus your mind, and cultivate this crop; at the proper time, make this your purpose. ||1||Pause||
ਖੋਇ ਖਹੜਾ ਭਰਮੁ ਮਨ ਕਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਰਣੀ ਜਾਇ ॥
Khoe Kheharraa Bharam Man Kaa Sathigur Saranee Jaae ||
खोइ खहड़ा भरमु मन का सतिगुर सरणी जाइ ॥
Eradicate the stubbornness and doubt of your mind, and go to the Sanctuary of the True Guru.
ਕਰਮੁ ਜਿਸ ਕਉ ਧੁਰਹੁ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਸੋਈ ਕਾਰ ਕਮਾਇ ॥੨॥
Karam Jis Ko Dhhurahu Likhiaa Soee Kaar Kamaae ||2||
करमु जिस कउ धुरहु लिखिआ सोई कार कमाइ ॥२॥
He alone does such deeds, who has such pre-ordained karma. ||2||
ਭਾਉ ਲਾਗਾ ਗੋਬਿਦ ਸਿਉ ਘਾਲ ਪਾਈ ਥਾਇ ॥
Bhaao Laagaa Gobidh Sio Ghaal Paaee Thhaae ||
भाउ लागा गोबिद सिउ घाल पाई थाइ ॥
He falls in love with the Lord of the Universe, and his efforts are approved.
ਖੇਤਿ ਮੇਰੈ ਜੰਮਿਆ ਨਿਖੁਟਿ ਨ ਕਬਹੂ ਜਾਇ ॥੩॥
Khaeth Maerai Janmiaa Nikhutt N Kabehoo Jaae ||3||
खेति मेरै जमिआ निखुटि न कबहू जाइ ॥३॥
My crop has germinated, and it shall never be used up. ||3||
ਪਾਇਆ ਅਮੋਲੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੋ ਛੋਡਿ ਨ ਕਤਹੂ ਜਾਇ ॥
Paaeiaa Amol Padhaarathho Shhodd N Kathehoo Jaae ||
पाइआ अमोलु पदारथो छोडि न कतहू जाइ ॥
I have obtained the priceless wealth, which shall never leave me or go anywhere else.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਰਹੇ ਆਘਾਇ ॥੪॥੪॥੧੩॥

The egg of doubt has burst; my mind has been enlightened.
ਕਾਟੀ ਬੇਰੀ ਪਗਹ ਤੇ ਗੁਰਿ ਕੀਨੀ ਬੰਦਿ ਖਲਾਸੁ ॥੧॥
Kaattee Baeree Pageh Thae Gur Keenee Bandh Khalaas ||1||
काटी बेरी पगह ते गुरि कीनी बंदि खलासु ॥१॥
The Guru has shattered the shackles on my feet, and has set me free. ||1||
ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣੁ ਰਹਿਓ ॥

आवण जाणु रहिओ ॥
My coming and going in reincarnation is ended.

तपत कड़ाहा बुझि गइआ गुरि सीतल नामु दीओ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
The boiling cauldron has cooled down; the Guru has blessed me with the cooling, soothing Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਜਬ ਤੇ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗੁ ਭਇਆ ਤਉ ਛੋਡਿ ਗਏ ਨਿਗਹਾਰ ॥
Jab Thae Saadhhoo Sang Bhaeiaa Tho Shhodd Geae Nigehaar ||
जब ते साधू संगु भइआ तउ छोडि गए निगहार ॥
Since I joined the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, those who were eyeing me have left.
ਜਿਸ ਕੀ ਅਟਕ ਤਿਸ ਤੇ ਛੁਟੀ ਤਉ ਕਹਾ ਕਰੈ ਕੋਟਵਾਰ ॥੨॥
Jis Kee Attak This Thae Shhuttee Tho Kehaa Karai Kottavaar ||2||
जिस की अटक तिस ते छुटी तउ कहा करै कोटवार ॥२॥
The one who tied me up, has released me; what can the Watchman of Death do to me now? ||2||
ਚੂਕਾ ਭਾਰਾ ਕਰਮ ਕਾ ਹੋਏ ਨਿਹਕਰਮਾ ॥
Chookaa Bhaaraa Karam Kaa Hoeae Nihakaramaa ||
चूका भारा करम का होए निहकरमा ॥
The load of my karma has been removed, and I am now free of karma.
ਸਾਗਰ ਤੇ ਕੰਢੈ ਚੜੇ ਗੁਰਿ ਕੀਨੇ ਧਰਮਾ ॥੩॥
Saagar Thae Kandtai Charrae Gur Keenae Dhharamaa ||3||
सागर ते कंढै चड़े गुरि कीने धरमा ॥३॥
I have crossed the world-ocean, and reached the other shore; the Guru has blessed me with this Dharma. ||3||
ਸਚੁ ਥਾਨੁ ਸਚੁ ਬੈਠਕਾ ਸਚੁ ਸੁਆਉ ਬਣਾਇਆ ॥
Sach Thhaan Sach Baithakaa Sach Suaao Banaaeiaa ||
सचु थानु सचु बैठका सचु सुआउ बणाइआ ॥
True is my place, and True is my seat; I have made Truth my life's purpose.
ਸਚੁ ਪੂੰਜੀ ਸਚੁ ਵਖਰੋ ਨਾਨਕ ਘਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੫॥੧੪॥
Sach Poonjee Sach Vakharo Naanak Ghar Paaeiaa ||4||5||14||
सचु पूंजी सचु वखरो नानक घरि पाइआ ॥४॥५॥१४॥
True is my capital, and True is the merchandise, which Nanak has placed into the home of the heart. ||4||5||14||
