ਦਇਆਲ ਭਏ ਤਾ ਆਏ ਚੀਤਿ ॥
Dhaeiaal Bheae Thaa Aaeae Cheeth ||
दइआल भए ता आए चीति ॥
When You show Mercy, then You come into our minds.
ਦਇਆ ਧਾਰੀ ਤਿਨਿ ਧਾਰਣਹਾਰ ॥
Dhaeiaa Dhhaaree Thin Dhhaaranehaar ||
दइआ धारी तिनि धारणहार ॥
When the Support of the earth granted His Grace,
ਬੰਧਨ ਤੇ ਹੋਈ ਛੁਟਕਾਰ ॥੭॥
Bandhhan Thae Hoee Shhuttakaar ||7||
बंधन ते होई छुटकार ॥७॥
Then I was released from my bonds. ||7||
ਸਭਿ ਥਾਨ ਦੇਖੇ ਨੈਣ ਅਲੋਇ ॥
Sabh Thhaan Dhaekhae Nain Aloe ||
सभि थान देखे नैण अलोइ ॥
I have seen all places with my eyes wide open.
ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਦੂਜਾ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥
This Bin Dhoojaa Avar N Koe ||
तिसु बिनु दूजा अवरु न कोइ ॥
There is no other than Him.
ਭ੍ਰਮ ਭੈ ਛੂਟੇ ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦ ॥
Bhram Bhai Shhoottae Gur Parasaadh ||
भ्रम भै छूटे गुर परसाद ॥
Doubt and fear are dispelled, by Guru's Grace.

Jeea Janth Sabh Paekheeahi Prabh Sagal Thumaaree Dhhaaranaa ||1||
जीअ जंत सभि पेखीअहि प्रभ सगल तुमारी धारना ॥१॥
All beings and creatures that are seen, God, depend on Your Support. ||1||
ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਨਾਮਿ ਉਧਾਰਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

इहु मनु हरि कै नामि उधारना ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਥਾਪਿ ਉਥਾਪੇ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਸਭਿ ਕਰਤੇ ਕੇ ਕਾਰਨਾ ॥੨॥
Khin Mehi Thhaap Outhhaapae Kudharath Sabh Karathae Kae Kaaranaa ||2||
खिन महि थापि उथापे कुदरति सभि करते के कारना ॥२॥
In an instant, He establishes and disestablishes, by His Creative Power. All is the Creation of the Creator. ||2||
ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਲੋਭੁ ਝੂਠੁ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਬਿਦਾਰਨਾ ॥੩॥
Kaam Krodhh Lobh Jhooth Nindhaa Saadhhoo Sang Bidhaaranaa ||3||
कामु क्रोधु लोभु झूठु निंदा साधू संगि बिदारना ॥३॥
Sexual desire, anger, greed, falsehood and slander are banished in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||3||
ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਤ ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹੋਵੈ ਸੂਖੇ ਸੂਖਿ ਗੁਦਾਰਨਾ ॥੪॥
Naam Japath Man Niramal Hovai Sookhae Sookh Gudhaaranaa ||4||
नामु जपत मनु निरमल होवै सूखे सूखि गुदारना ॥४॥
Chanting the Naam, the Name of the Lord, the mind becomes immaculate, and life is passed in absolute peace. ||4||
ਭਗਤ ਸਰਣਿ ਜੋ ਆਵੈ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਤਿਸੁ ਈਹਾ ਊਹਾ ਨ ਹਾਰਨਾ ॥੫॥
Bhagath Saran Jo Aavai Praanee This Eehaa Oohaa N Haaranaa ||5||
भगत सरणि जो आवै प्राणी तिसु ईहा ऊहा न हारना ॥५॥
That mortal who enters the Sanctuary of the devotees, does not lose out, here or hereafter. ||5||
ਸੂਖ ਦੂਖ ਇਸੁ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਆਗੈ ਸਾਰਨਾ ॥੬॥
Sookh Dhookh Eis Man Kee Birathhaa Thum Hee Aagai Saaranaa ||6||
सूख दूख इसु मन की बिरथा तुम ही आगै सारना ॥६॥
Pleasure and pain, and the condition of this mind, I place before You, Lord. ||6||
ਤੂ ਦਾਤਾ ਸਭਨਾ ਜੀਆ ਕਾ ਆਪਨ ਕੀਆ ਪਾਲਨਾ ॥੭॥
Thoo Dhaathaa Sabhanaa Jeeaa Kaa Aapan Keeaa Paalanaa ||7||
तू दाता सभना जीआ का आपन कीआ पालना ॥७॥
You are the Giver of all beings; You cherish what You have made. ||7||
ਅਨਿਕ ਬਾਰ ਕੋਟਿ ਜਨ ਊਪਰਿ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਵੰਞੈ ਵਾਰਨਾ ॥੮॥੫॥
Anik Baar Kott Jan Oopar Naanak Vannjai Vaaranaa ||8||5||
अनिक बार कोटि जन ऊपरि नानकु वंञै वारना ॥८॥५॥
So many millions of times, Nanak is a sacrifice to Your humble servants. ||8||5||

Dharasan Bhaettath Paap Sabh Naasehi Har Sio Dhaee Milaaee ||1||
दरसनु भेटत पाप सभि नासहि हरि सिउ देइ मिलाई ॥१॥
Receiving the Blessed Vision of His Darshan, all sins are erased, and He unites me with the Lord. ||1||
ਮੇਰਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਸੁਖਦਾਈ ॥

मेरा गुरु परमेसरु सुखदाई ॥

Sagal Dhookh Kaa Ddaeraa Bhannaa Santh Dhhoor Mukh Laaee ||2||
सगल दूख का डेरा भंना संत धूरि मुखि लाई ॥२॥
The source of all pain within is destroyed; I apply the dust of the feet of the Saints to my forehead. ||2||
ਪਤਿਤ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਕੀਏ ਖਿਨ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਅਗਿਆਨੁ ਅੰਧੇਰੁ ਵੰਞਾਈ ॥੩॥
Pathith Puneeth Keeeae Khin Bheethar Agiaan Andhhaer Vannjaaee ||3||
पतित पुनीत कीए खिन भीतरि अगिआनु अंधेरु वंञाई ॥३॥
In an instant, He purifies the sinners, and dispels the darkness of ignorance. ||3||
ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਥੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਸੁ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥੪॥
Karan Kaaran Samarathh Suaamee Naanak This Saranaaee ||4||
करण कारण समरथु सुआमी नानक तिसु सरणाई ॥४॥
The Lord is all-powerful, the Cause of causes. Nanak seeks His Sanctuary. ||4||
ਬੰਧਨ ਤੋੜਿ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਏ ਏਕ ਸਬਦਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥੫॥
Bandhhan Thorr Charan Kamal Dhrirraaeae Eaek Sabadh Liv Laaee ||5||
बंधन तोड़ि चरन कमल द्रिड़ाए एक सबदि लिव लाई ॥५॥
Shattering the bonds, the Guru implants the Lord's lotus feet within, and lovingly attunes us to the One Word of the Shabad. ||5||
ਅੰਧ ਕੂਪ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਤੇ ਕਾਢਿਓ ਸਾਚ ਸਬਦਿ ਬਣਿ ਆਈ ॥੬॥
Andhh Koop Bikhiaa Thae Kaadtiou Saach Sabadh Ban Aaee ||6||
अंध कूप बिखिआ ते काढिओ साच सबदि बणि आई ॥६॥
He has lifted me up, and pulled me out of the deep, dark pit of sin; I am attuned to the True Shabad. ||6||
ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਕਾ ਸਹਸਾ ਚੂਕਾ ਬਾਹੁੜਿ ਕਤਹੁ ਨ ਧਾਈ ॥੭॥
Janam Maran Kaa Sehasaa Chookaa Baahurr Kathahu N Dhhaaee ||7||
जनम मरण का सहसा चूका बाहुड़ि कतहु न धाई ॥७॥
The fear of birth and death is taken away; I shall never wander again. ||7||
ਨਾਮ ਰਸਾਇਣਿ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਤਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਾਈ ॥੮॥
Naam Rasaaein Eihu Man Raathaa Anmrith Pee Thripathaaee ||8||
नाम रसाइणि इहु मनु राता अम्रितु पी त्रिपताई ॥८॥
This mind is imbued with the sublime elixir of the Naam; drinking in the Ambrosial Nectar, it is satisfied. ||8||
ਸੰਤਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਗਾਇਆ ਨਿਹਚਲ ਵਸਿਆ ਜਾਈ ॥੯॥
Santhasang Mil Keerathan Gaaeiaa Nihachal Vasiaa Jaaee ||9||
संतसंगि मिलि कीरतनु गाइआ निहचल वसिआ जाई ॥९॥
Joining the Society of the Saints, I sing the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises; I dwell in the eternal, unchanging place. ||9||
ਪੂਰੈ ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੀ ਮਤਿ ਦੀਨੀ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਆਨ ਨ ਭਾਈ ॥੧੦॥
Poorai Gur Pooree Math Dheenee Har Bin Aan N Bhaaee ||10||
पूरै गुरि पूरी मति दीनी हरि बिनु आन न भाई ॥१०॥
The Perfect Guru has given me the perfect teachings; there is nothing except the Lord, O Siblings of Destiny. ||10||
ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਰਕਿ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥੧੧॥
Naam Nidhhaan Paaeiaa Vaddabhaagee Naanak Narak N Jaaee ||11||
नामु निधानु पाइआ वडभागी नानक नरकि न जाई ॥११॥
I have obtained the treasure of the Naam, by great good fortune; O Nanak, I shall not fall into hell. ||11||
ਘਾਲ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਉਕਤਿ ਨ ਮੇਰੀ ਪੂਰੈ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਮਾਈ ॥੧੨॥
Ghaal Siaanap Oukath N Maeree Poorai Guroo Kamaaee ||12||
घाल सिआणप उकति न मेरी पूरै गुरू कमाई ॥१२॥
Clever tricks have not worked for me; I shall act according to the Instructions of the Perfect Guru. ||12||
ਜਪ ਤਪ ਸੰਜਮ ਸੁਚਿ ਹੈ ਸੋਈ ਆਪੇ ਕਰੇ ਕਰਾਈ ॥੧੩॥
Jap Thap Sanjam Such Hai Soee Aapae Karae Karaaee ||13||
जप तप संजम सुचि है सोई आपे करे कराई ॥१३॥
He is chanting, intense meditation, austere self-discipline and purification. He Himself acts, and causes us to act. ||13||
ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਕਲਤ੍ਰ ਮਹਾ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਮਹਿ ਗੁਰਿ ਸਾਚੈ ਲਾਇ ਤਰਾਈ ॥੧੪॥
Puthr Kalathr Mehaa Bikhiaa Mehi Gur Saachai Laae Tharaaee ||14||
पुत्र कलत्र महा बिखिआ महि गुरि साचै लाइ तराई ॥१४॥
In the midst of children and spouse, and utter corruption, the True Guru has carried me across. ||14||
