Raag Maalee Gauraa, Fourth Mehl:
ੴ ਸਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੁ ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਅਜੂਨੀ ਸੈਭੰ ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
Ik Oankaar Sath Naam Karathaa Purakh Nirabho Niravair Akaal Moorath Ajoonee Saibhan Gur Prasaadh ||
ੴ सति नामु करता पुरखु निरभउ निरवैरु अकाल मूरति अजूनी सैभं गुर प्रसादि ॥
One Universal Creator God. Truth Is The Name. Creative Being Personified. No Fear. No Hatred. Image Of The Undying. Beyond Birth. Self-Existent. By Guru's Grace:
ਅਨਿਕ ਜਤਨ ਕਰਿ ਰਹੇ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਤੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
Anik Jathan Kar Rehae Har Anth Naahee Paaeiaa ||
अनिक जतन करि रहे हरि अंतु नाही पाइआ ॥
Countless have tried, but none have found the Lord's limit.
ਹਰਿ ਅਗਮ ਅਗਮ ਅਗਾਧਿ ਬੋਧਿ ਆਦੇਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਰਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Har Agam Agam Agaadhh Bodhh Aadhaes Har Prabh Raaeiaa ||1|| Rehaao ||
हरि अगम अगम अगाधि बोधि आदेसु हरि प्रभ राइआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
The Lord is inaccessible, unapproachable and unfathomable; I humbly bow to the Lord God, my King. ||1||Pause||
ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਲੋਭੁ ਮੋਹੁ ਨਿਤ ਝਗਰਤੇ ਝਗਰਾਇਆ ॥
Kaam Krodhh Lobh Mohu Nith Jhagarathae Jhagaraaeiaa ||
कामु क्रोधु लोभु मोहु नित झगरते झगराइआ ॥
Sexual desire, anger, greed and emotional attachment bring continual conflict and strife.
ਹਮ ਰਾਖੁ ਰਾਖੁ ਦੀਨ ਤੇਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਸਰਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਆਇਆ ॥੧॥
Ham Raakh Raakh Dheen Thaerae Har Saran Har Prabh Aaeiaa ||1||
हम राखु राखु दीन तेरे हरि सरनि हरि प्रभ आइआ ॥१॥
Save me, save me, I am your humble creature, O Lord; I have come to Your Sanctuary, O my Lord God. ||1||
ਸਰਣਾਗਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪਾਲਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਵਛਲੁ ਨਾਇਆ ॥
Saranaagathee Prabh Paalathae Har Bhagath Vashhal Naaeiaa ||
सरणागती प्रभ पालते हरि भगति वछलु नाइआ ॥
You protect and preserve those who take to Your Sanctuary, God; You are called the Lover of Your devotees.
ਪ੍ਰਹਿਲਾਦੁ ਜਨੁ ਹਰਨਾਖਿ ਪਕਰਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਖਿ ਲੀਓ ਤਰਾਇਆ ॥੨॥
Prehilaadh Jan Haranaakh Pakariaa Har Raakh Leeou Tharaaeiaa ||2||
प्रहिलादु जनु हरनाखि पकरिआ हरि राखि लीओ तराइआ ॥२॥
Prahlaad, Your humble servant, was caught by Harnaakhash; but You saved Him and carried him across, Lord. ||2||
ਹਰਿ ਚੇਤਿ ਰੇ ਮਨ ਮਹਲੁ ਪਾਵਣ ਸਭ ਦੂਖ ਭੰਜਨੁ ਰਾਇਆ ॥
Har Chaeth Rae Man Mehal Paavan Sabh Dhookh Bhanjan Raaeiaa ||
हरि चेति रे मन महलु पावण सभ दूख भंजनु राइआ ॥
Remember the Lord, O mind, and rise up to the Mansion of His Presence; the Sovereign Lord is the Destroyer of pain.
ਭਉ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਨਿਵਾਰਿ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੩॥
Bho Janam Maran Nivaar Thaakur Har Guramathee Prabh Paaeiaa ||3||
भउ जनम मरन निवारि ठाकुर हरि गुरमती प्रभु पाइआ ॥३॥
Our Lord and Master takes away the fear of birth and death; following the Guru's Teachings,the Lord God is found. ||3||
ਹਰਿ ਪਤਿਤ ਪਾਵਨ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਭਉ ਭਗਤ ਭੰਜਨੁ ਗਾਇਆ ॥
Har Pathith Paavan Naam Suaamee Bho Bhagath Bhanjan Gaaeiaa ||
हरि पतित पावन नामु सुआमी भउ भगत भंजनु गाइआ ॥
The Name of the Lord, our Lord and Master, is the Purifier of sinners; I sing of the Lord, the Destroyer of the fears of His devotees.
ਹਰਿ ਹਾਰੁ ਹਰਿ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰਿਓ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੧॥
Har Haar Har Our Dhhaariou Jan Naanak Naam Samaaeiaa ||4||1||
हरि हारु हरि उरि धारिओ जन नानक नामि समाइआ ॥४॥१॥
One who wears the necklace of the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, in his heart, O servant Nanak, merges in the Naam. ||4||1||

Maalee Gauraa, Fourth Mehl:
ਜਪਿ ਮਨ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ॥
Jap Man Raam Naam Sukhadhaathaa ||
जपि मन राम नामु सुखदाता ॥
O my mind, chant the Name of the Lord, the Giver of peace.
ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਾਦੁ ਆਇਆ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪਛਾਤਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Sathasangath Mil Har Saadh Aaeiaa Guramukh Breham Pashhaathaa ||1|| Rehaao ||
सतसंगति मिलि हरि सादु आइआ गुरमुखि ब्रहमु पछाता ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
One who joins the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, and enjoys the sublime taste of the Lord, as Gurmukh, comes to realize God. ||1||Pause||
ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਗੁਰ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਗੁਰਿ ਮਿਲਿਐ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਜਾਤਾ ॥
Vaddabhaagee Gur Dharasan Paaeiaa Gur Miliai Har Prabh Jaathaa ||
वडभागी गुर दरसनु पाइआ गुरि मिलिऐ हरि प्रभु जाता ॥
By great good fortune, one obtains the Blessed Vision of the Guru's Darshan; meeting with the Guru, the Lord God is known.
ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਮੈਲੁ ਗਈ ਸਭ ਨੀਕਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਰਿ ਨਾਤਾ ॥੧॥
Dhuramath Mail Gee Sabh Neekar Har Anmrith Har Sar Naathaa ||1||
दुरमति मैलु गई सभ नीकरि हरि अम्रिति हरि सरि नाता ॥१॥
The filth of evil-mindedness is totally washed away, bathing in the Lord's ambrosial pool of nectar. ||1||
ਧਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਸਾਧ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੀ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਪੂਛਉ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਬਾਤਾ ॥
Dhhan Dhhan Saadhh Jinhee Har Prabh Paaeiaa Thinh Pooshho Har Kee Baathaa ||
धनु धनु साध जिन्ही हरि प्रभु पाइआ तिन्ह पूछउ हरि की बाता ॥
Blessed, blessed are the Holy, who have found their Lord God; I ask them to tell me the stories of the Lord.
ਪਾਇ ਲਗਉ ਨਿਤ ਕਰਉ ਜੁਦਰੀਆ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਹੁ ਕਰਮਿ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ॥੨॥
Paae Lago Nith Karo Judhareeaa Har Maelahu Karam Bidhhaathaa ||2||
पाइ लगउ नित करउ जुदरीआ हरि मेलहु करमि बिधाता ॥२॥
I fall at their feet, and always pray to them, to mercifully unite me with my Lord, the Architect of Destiny. ||2||
ਲਿਲਾਟ ਲਿਖੇ ਪਾਇਆ ਗੁਰੁ ਸਾਧੂ ਗੁਰ ਬਚਨੀ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਰਾਤਾ ॥
Lilaatt Likhae Paaeiaa Gur Saadhhoo Gur Bachanee Man Than Raathaa ||
लिलाट लिखे पाइआ गुरु साधू गुर बचनी मनु तनु राता ॥
Through the destiny written on my forehead, I have found the Holy Guru; my mind and body are imbued with the Guru's Word.
ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਆਇ ਮਿਲੇ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਭ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਪਾਪ ਗਵਾਤਾ ॥੩॥
Har Prabh Aae Milae Sukh Paaeiaa Sabh Kilavikh Paap Gavaathaa ||3||
हरि प्रभ आइ मिले सुखु पाइआ सभ किलविख पाप गवाता ॥३॥
The Lord God has come to meet me; I have found peace, and I am rid of all the sins. ||3||
ਰਾਮ ਰਸਾਇਣੁ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਕੀ ਊਤਮ ਬਾਤਾ ॥
Raam Rasaaein Jinh Guramath Paaeiaa Thinh Kee Ootham Baathaa ||
राम रसाइणु जिन्ह गुरमति पाइआ तिन्ह की ऊतम बाता ॥
Those who follow the Guru's Teachings find the Lord, the source of nectar; their words are sublime and exalted.
ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਪੰਕ ਪਾਈਐ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਚਰਨਿ ਪਰਾਤਾ ॥੪॥੨॥
Thin Kee Pank Paaeeai Vaddabhaagee Jan Naanak Charan Paraathaa ||4||2||
तिन की पंक पाईऐ वडभागी जन नानकु चरनि पराता ॥४॥२॥
By great good fortune, one is blessed with the dust of their feet; servant Nanak falls at their feet. ||4||2||
