ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇ ਮਨਾ ਖਿਨੁ ਨ ਵਿਸਾਰੀਐ ॥
Har Har Dhhiaae Manaa Khin N Visaareeai ||
हरि हरि धिआइ मना खिनु न विसारीऐ ॥
Meditate on the Lord Har Har, O mind; don't forget Him, even for an instant.
ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮਾ ਰਾਮ ਰਮਾ ਕੰਠਿ ਉਰ ਧਾਰੀਐ ॥
Raam Raamaa Raam Ramaa Kanth Our Dhhaareeai ||
राम रामा राम रमा कंठि उर धारीऐ ॥
Enshrine the Lord, Raam, Raam, Raam, Raam, within your heart and throat.
ਉਰ ਧਾਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਪੂਰਨੁ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੋ ॥
Our Dhhaar Har Har Purakh Pooran Paarabreham Niranjano ||
उर धारि हरि हरि पुरखु पूरनु पारब्रहमु निरंजनो ॥
Enshrine within your heart the Primal Lord, Har, Har, the all-pervading, supreme, immaculate Lord God.
ਭੈ ਦੂਰਿ ਕਰਤਾ ਪਾਪ ਹਰਤਾ ਦੁਸਹ ਦੁਖ ਭਵ ਖੰਡਨੋ ॥
Bhai Dhoor Karathaa Paap Harathaa Dhuseh Dhukh Bhav Khanddano ||
भै दूरि करता पाप हरता दुसह दुख भव खंडनो ॥
He sends fear far away; He is the Destroyer of sin; He eradicates the unbearable pains of the terrifying world-ocean.
ਜਗਦੀਸ ਈਸ ਗਪਾਲ ਮਾਧੋ ਗੁਣ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਵੀਚਾਰੀਐ ॥
Jagadhees Ees Guopaal Maadhho Gun Govindh Veechaareeai ||
जगदीस ईस गोपाल माधो गुण गोविंद वीचारीऐ ॥
Contemplate the Lord of the World, the Cherisher of the World, the Lord, the Virtuous Lord of the Universe.
ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਰੈਣਿ ਚਿਤਾਰੀਐ ॥੧॥
Binavanth Naanak Mil Sang Saadhhoo Dhinas Rain Chithaareeai ||1||
बिनवंति नानक मिलि संगि साधू दिनसु रैणि चितारीऐ ॥१॥
Prays Nanak, joining the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, remember the Lord, day and night. ||1||
ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਆਧਾਰੁ ਜਨ ਕਾ ਆਸਰਾ ॥
Charan Kamal Aadhhaar Jan Kaa Aasaraa ||
चरन कमल आधारु जन का आसरा ॥
His lotus feet are the support and anchor of His humble servants.
ਮਾਲੁ ਮਿਲਖ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਨੰਤ ਧਰਾ ॥
Maal Milakh Bhanddaar Naam Ananth Dhharaa ||
मालु मिलख भंडार नामु अनंत धरा ॥
He takes the Naam, the Name of the Infinite Lord, as his wealth, property and treasure.
ਨਾਮੁ ਨਰਹਰ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਜਿਨ ਕੈ ਰਸ ਭੋਗ ਏਕ ਨਰਾਇਣਾ ॥
Naam Narehar Nidhhaan Jin Kai Ras Bhog Eaek Naraaeinaa ||
नामु नरहर निधानु जिन कै रस भोग एक नराइणा ॥
Those who have the treasure of the Lord's Name, enjoy the taste of the One Lord.
ਰਸ ਰੂਪ ਰੰਗ ਅਨੰਤ ਬੀਠਲ ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਧਿਆਇਣਾ ॥
Ras Roop Rang Ananth Beethal Saas Saas Dhhiaaeinaa ||
रस रूप रंग अनंत बीठल सासि सासि धिआइणा ॥
They meditate on the Infinite Lord with each and every breath, as their pleasure, joy and beauty.
ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਹਰਣਾ ਨਾਮ ਪੁਨਹਚਰਣਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਮ ਕੀ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਹਰਾ ॥
Kilavikh Haranaa Naam Punehacharanaa Naam Jam Kee Thraas Haraa ||
किलविख हरणा नाम पुनहचरणा नामु जम की त्रास हरा ॥
The Naam, the Name of the Lord, is the Destroyer of sins, the only deed of redemption. The Naam drives out the fear of the Messenger of Death.
ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਰਾਸਿ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲਹ ਆਸਰਾ ॥੨॥
Binavanth Naanak Raas Jan Kee Charan Kamaleh Aasaraa ||2||
बिनवंति नानक रासि जन की चरन कमलह आसरा ॥२॥
Prays Nanak, the support of His lotus feet is the capital of His humble servant. ||2||
ਗੁਣ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਜਾਨਈ ॥
Gun Baeanth Suaamee Thaerae Koe N Jaanee ||
गुण बेअंत सुआमी तेरे कोइ न जानई ॥
Your Glorious Virtues are endless, O my Lord and Master; no one knows them all.
ਦੇਖਿ ਚਲਤ ਦਇਆਲ ਸੁਣਿ ਭਗਤ ਵਖਾਨਈ ॥
Dhaekh Chalath Dhaeiaal Sun Bhagath Vakhaanee ||
देखि चलत दइआल सुणि भगत वखानई ॥
Seeing and hearing of Your wondrous plays, O Merciful Lord, Your devotees narrate them.
ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਭਿ ਤੁਝੁ ਧਿਆਵਹਿ ਪੁਰਖਪਤਿ ਪਰਮੇਸਰਾ ॥
Jeea Janth Sabh Thujh Dhhiaavehi Purakhapath Paramaesaraa ||
जीअ जंत सभि तुझु धिआवहि पुरखपति परमेसरा ॥
All beings and creatures meditate on You, O Primal Transcendent Lord, Master of men.
ਸਰਬ ਜਾਚਿਕ ਏਕੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਕਰੁਣਾ ਮੈ ਜਗਦੀਸਰਾ ॥
Sarab Jaachik Eaek Dhaathaa Karunaa Mai Jagadheesaraa ||
सरब जाचिक एकु दाता करुणा मै जगदीसरा ॥
All beings are beggars; You are the One Giver, O Lord of the Universe, Embodiment of mercy.
ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਤੁ ਸੁਜਾਣੁ ਸੋਈ ਜਿਸਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੀ ਮਾਨਈ ॥
Saadhhoo Santh Sujaan Soee Jisehi Prabh Jee Maanee ||
साधू संतु सुजाणु सोई जिसहि प्रभ जी मानई ॥
He alone is holy, a Saint, a truly wise person, who is accepted by the Dear Lord.
ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਰਹੁ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਸੋਇ ਤੁਝਹਿ ਪਛਾਨਈ ॥੩॥
Binavanth Naanak Karahu Kirapaa Soe Thujhehi Pashhaanee ||3||
बिनवंति नानक करहु किरपा सोइ तुझहि पछानई ॥३॥
Prays Nanak, they alone realize You, unto whom You show Mercy. ||3||
ਮੋਹਿ ਨਿਰਗੁਣ ਅਨਾਥੁ ਸਰਣੀ ਆਇਆ ॥
Mohi Niragun Anaathh Saranee Aaeiaa ||
मोहि निरगुण अनाथु सरणी आइआ ॥
I am unworthy and without any master; I seek Your Sanctuary, Lord.
ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ਜਿਨਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇਆ ॥
Bal Bal Bal Guradhaev Jin Naam Dhrirraaeiaa ||
बलि बलि बलि गुरदेव जिनि नामु द्रिड़ाइआ ॥
I am a sacrifice, a sacrifice, a sacrifice to the Divine Guru, who has implanted the Naam within me.
ਗੁਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੀਆ ਕੁਸਲੁ ਥੀਆ ਸਰਬ ਇਛਾ ਪੁੰਨੀਆ ॥
Gur Naam Dheeaa Kusal Thheeaa Sarab Eishhaa Punneeaa ||
गुरि नामु दीआ कुसलु थीआ सरब इछा पुंनीआ ॥
The Guru blessed me with the Naam; happiness came, and all my desires were fulfilled.
ਜਲਨੇ ਬੁਝਾਈ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਆਈ ਮਿਲੇ ਚਿਰੀ ਵਿਛੁੰਨਿਆ ॥
Jalanae Bujhaaee Saanth Aaee Milae Chiree Vishhunniaa ||
जलने बुझाई सांति आई मिले चिरी विछुंनिआ ॥
The fire of desire has been quenched, and peace and tranquility have come; after such a long separation, I have met my Lord again.
ਆਨੰਦ ਹਰਖ ਸਹਜ ਸਾਚੇ ਮਹਾ ਮੰਗਲ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਆ ॥
Aanandh Harakh Sehaj Saachae Mehaa Mangal Gun Gaaeiaa ||
आनंद हरख सहज साचे महा मंगल गुण गाइआ ॥
I have found ecstasy, pleasure and true intuitive poise, singing the great glories, the song of bliss of the Lord.
ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਤੇ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੨॥
Binavanth Naanak Naam Prabh Kaa Gur Poorae Thae Paaeiaa ||4||2||
बिनवंति नानक नामु प्रभ का गुर पूरे ते पाइआ ॥४॥२॥
Prays Nanak, I have obtained the Name of God from the Perfect Guru. ||4||2||

ਰੁਣ ਝੁਣੋ ਸਬਦੁ ਅਨਾਹਦੁ ਨਿਤ ਉਠਿ ਗਾਈਐ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੈ ॥
Run Jhuno Sabadh Anaahadh Nith Outh Gaaeeai Santhan Kai ||
रुण झुणो सबदु अनाहदु नित उठि गाईऐ संतन कै ॥
Rise early each morning, and with the Saints, sing the melodious harmony, the unstruck sound current of the Shabad.
ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਸਭਿ ਦੋਖ ਬਿਨਾਸਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੀਐ ਗੁਰ ਮੰਤਨ ਕੈ ॥
Kilavikh Sabh Dhokh Binaasan Har Naam Japeeai Gur Manthan Kai ||
किलविख सभि दोख बिनासनु हरि नामु जपीऐ गुर मंतन कै ॥
All sins and sufferings are erased chanting the Lord's Name, under Guru's Instructions.
ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਲੀਜੈ ਅਮਿਉ ਪੀਜੈ ਰੈਣਿ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਅਰਾਧੀਐ ॥
Har Naam Leejai Amio Peejai Rain Dhinas Araadhheeai ||
हरि नामु लीजै अमिउ पीजै रैणि दिनसु अराधीऐ ॥
Dwell upon the Lord's Name, and drink in the Nectar; day and night, worship and adore Him.
ਜੋਗ ਦਾਨ ਅਨੇਕ ਕਿਰਿਆ ਲਗਿ ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲਹ ਸਾਧੀਐ ॥
Jog Dhaan Anaek Kiriaa Lag Charan Kamaleh Saadhheeai ||
जोग दान अनेक किरिआ लगि चरण कमलह साधीऐ ॥
The merits of Yoga, charity and religious rituals are obtained by grasping His lotus feet.
ਭਾਉ ਭਗਤਿ ਦਇਆਲ ਮੋਹਨ ਦੂਖ ਸਗਲੇ ਪਰਹਰੈ ॥
Bhaao Bhagath Dhaeiaal Mohan Dhookh Sagalae Pareharai ||
भाउ भगति दइआल मोहन दूख सगले परहरै ॥
Loving devotion to the merciful, enticing Lord takes away all pain.
ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਰੈ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਧਿਆਇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨਰਹਰੈ ॥੧॥

बिनवंति नानक तरै सागरु धिआइ सुआमी नरहरै ॥१॥
Prays Nanak, cross over the world-ocean, meditating on the Lord, your Lord and Master. ||1||
ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿਮਰਣੁ ਭਗਤ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਗੁਣ ਤੇਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
Sukh Saagar Gobindh Simaran Bhagath Gaavehi Gun Thaerae Raam ||
सुख सागर गोबिंद सिमरणु भगत गावहि गुण तेरे राम ॥
Meditation on the Lord of the Universe is an ocean of peace; Your devotees sing Your Glorious Praises, Lord.
ਅਨਦ ਮੰਗਲ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣੀ ਲਾਗੇ ਪਾਏ ਸੂਖ ਘਨੇਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
Anadh Mangal Gur Charanee Laagae Paaeae Sookh Ghanaerae Raam ||
अनद मंगल गुर चरणी लागे पाए सूख घनेरे राम ॥
Ecstasy, bliss and great happiness are obtained by grasping hold of the Guru's feet.
ਸੁਖ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਦੂਖ ਹਰਿਆ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਰਾਖਿਆ ॥
Sukh Nidhhaan Miliaa Dhookh Hariaa Kirapaa Kar Prabh Raakhiaa ||
सुख निधानु मिलिआ दूख हरिआ क्रिपा करि प्रभि राखिआ ॥
Meeting with the treasure of peace, their pains are taken away; granting His Grace, God protects them.
ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣ ਲਾਗਾ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਭਉ ਭਾਗਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਸਨਾ ਭਾਖਿਆ ॥
Har Charan Laagaa Bhram Bho Bhaagaa Har Naam Rasanaa Bhaakhiaa ||
हरि चरण लागा भ्रमु भउ भागा हरि नामु रसना भाखिआ ॥
Those who grasp the Lord's feet - their fears and doubts run away, and they chant the Name of the Lord.
ਹਰਿ ਏਕੁ ਚਿਤਵੈ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਏਕੁ ਗਾਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਏਕੁ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟੀ ਆਇਆ ॥
Har Eaek Chithavai Prabh Eaek Gaavai Har Eaek Dhrisattee Aaeiaa ||
हरि एकु चितवै प्रभु एकु गावै हरि एकु द्रिसटी आइआ ॥
He thinks of the One Lord, and he sings of the One God; he gazes upon the One Lord alone.
