Har Kaa Maarag Gur Santh Bathaaeiou Gur Chaal Dhikhaaee Har Chaal ||
हरि का मारगु गुर संति बताइओ गुरि चाल दिखाई हरि चाल ॥
The Guru, the Saint, has shown me the Lord's Path. The Guru has shown me the way to walk on the Lord's Path.
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਕਪਟੁ ਚੁਕਾਵਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੁਰਸਿਖਹੁ ਨਿਹਕਪਟ ਕਮਾਵਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਹਰਿ ਘਾਲ ਨਿਹਾਲ ਨਿਹਾਲ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥੧॥

अंतरि कपटु चुकावहु मेरे गुरसिखहु निहकपट कमावहु हरि की हरि घाल निहाल निहाल निहाल ॥१॥
Cast out deception from within yourself, O my Gursikhs, and without deception, serve the Lord. You shall be enraptured, enraptured, enraptured. ||1||
ਤੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਸਿਖ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਭਾਏ ਜਿਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਜਾਨਿਓ ਮੇਰਾ ਨਾਲਿ ॥
Thae Gur Kae Sikh Maerae Har Prabh Bhaaeae Jinaa Har Prabh Jaaniou Maeraa Naal ||
ते गुर के सिख मेरे हरि प्रभि भाए जिना हरि प्रभु जानिओ मेरा नालि ॥
Those Sikhs of the Guru, who realize that my Lord God is with them, are pleasing to my Lord God.

राम हउ किआ जाना किआ भावै ॥
O Lord, how can I know what pleases You?
ਮਨਿ ਪਿਆਸ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਦਰਸਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Man Piaas Bahuth Dharasaavai ||1|| Rehaao ||
मनि पिआस बहुतु दरसावै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Within my mind is such a great thirst for the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan. ||1||Pause||
ਸੋਈ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਸੋਈ ਜਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਊਪਰਿ ਰੁਚ ਆਵੈ ॥
Soee Giaanee Soee Jan Thaeraa Jis Oopar Ruch Aavai ||
सोई गिआनी सोई जनु तेरा जिसु ऊपरि रुच आवै ॥
He alone is a spiritual teacher, and he alone is Your humble servant, to whom You have given Your approval.
ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਹੁ ਜਿਸੁ ਪੁਰਖ ਬਿਧਾਤੇ ਸੋ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਤੁਧੁ ਧਿਆਵੈ ॥੧॥
Kirapaa Karahu Jis Purakh Bidhhaathae So Sadhaa Sadhaa Thudhh Dhhiaavai ||1||
क्रिपा करहु जिसु पुरख बिधाते सो सदा सदा तुधु धिआवै ॥१॥
He alone meditates on You forever and ever, O Primal Lord, O Architect of Destiny, unto whom You grant Your Grace. ||1||
ਕਵਨ ਜੋਗ ਕਵਨ ਗਿਆਨ ਧਿਆਨਾ ਕਵਨ ਗੁਨੀ ਰੀਝਾਵੈ ॥
Kavan Jog Kavan Giaan Dhhiaanaa Kavan Gunee Reejhaavai ||
कवन जोग कवन गिआन धिआना कवन गुनी रीझावै ॥
What sort of Yoga, what spiritual wisdom and meditation, and what virtues please You?
ਸੋਈ ਜਨੁ ਸੋਈ ਨਿਜ ਭਗਤਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਊਪਰਿ ਰੰਗੁ ਲਾਵੈ ॥੨॥
Soee Jan Soee Nij Bhagathaa Jis Oopar Rang Laavai ||2||
सोई जनु सोई निज भगता जिसु ऊपरि रंगु लावै ॥२॥
He alone is a humble servant, and he alone is God's own devotee, with whom You are in love. ||2||
ਸਾਈ ਮਤਿ ਸਾਈ ਬੁਧਿ ਸਿਆਨਪ ਜਿਤੁ ਨਿਮਖ ਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਬਿਸਰਾਵੈ ॥
Saaee Math Saaee Budhh Siaanap Jith Nimakh N Prabh Bisaraavai ||
साई मति साई बुधि सिआनप जितु निमख न प्रभु बिसरावै ॥
That alone is intelligence, that alone is wisdom and cleverness, which inspires one to never forget God, even for an instant.
ਸੰਤਸੰਗਿ ਲਗਿ ਏਹੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਓ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਗਾਵੈ ॥੩॥
Santhasang Lag Eaehu Sukh Paaeiou Har Gun Sadh Hee Gaavai ||3||
संतसंगि लगि एहु सुखु पाइओ हरि गुन सद ही गावै ॥३॥
Joining the Society of the Saints, I have found this peace, singing forever the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||3||
ਦੇਖਿਓ ਅਚਰਜੁ ਮਹਾ ਮੰਗਲ ਰੂਪ ਕਿਛੁ ਆਨ ਨਹੀ ਦਿਸਟਾਵੈ ॥
Dhaekhiou Acharaj Mehaa Mangal Roop Kishh Aan Nehee Dhisattaavai ||
देखिओ अचरजु महा मंगल रूप किछु आन नही दिसटावै ॥
I have seen the Wondrous Lord, the embodiment of supreme bliss, and now, I see nothing else at all.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਮੋਰਚਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਲਾਹਿਓ ਤਹ ਗਰਭ ਜੋਨਿ ਕਹ ਆਵੈ ॥੪॥੧॥
Kahu Naanak Morachaa Gur Laahiou Theh Garabh Jon Keh Aavai ||4||1||
कहु नानक मोरचा गुरि लाहिओ तह गरभ जोनि कह आवै ॥४॥१॥
Says Nanak, the Guru has rubbed sway the rust; now how could I ever enter the womb of reincarnation again? ||4||1||

आगिआ मानि जानि सुखु पाइआ सुनि सुनि नामु तुहारो जीओ ॥
Understanding and obeying Your Order, I have found peace; hearing, listening to Your Name, I live.
ਈਹਾਂ ਊਹਾ ਹਰਿ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਇਹੁ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜੀਓ ॥੧॥
Eehaan Oohaa Har Thum Hee Thum Hee Eihu Gur Thae Manthra Dhrirreeou ||1||
ईहां ऊहा हरि तुम ही तुम ही इहु गुर ते मंत्रु द्रिड़ीओ ॥१॥
Here and hereafter, O Lord, You, only You. The Guru has implanted this Mantra within me. ||1||
ਜਬ ਤੇ ਜਾਨਿ ਪਾਈ ਏਹ ਬਾਤਾ ਤਬ ਕੁਸਲ ਖੇਮ ਸਭ ਥੀਓ ॥
Jab Thae Jaan Paaee Eaeh Baathaa Thab Kusal Khaem Sabh Thheeou ||
जब ते जानि पाई एह बाता तब कुसल खेम सभ थीओ ॥
Since I came to realize this, I have been blessed with total peace and pleasure.
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਪਰਗਾਸਿਓ ਆਨ ਨਾਹੀ ਰੇ ਬੀਓ ॥੨॥੧॥੨॥

साधसंगि नानक परगासिओ आन नाही रे बीओ ॥२॥१॥२॥

ਜਮ ਕੀ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਮਿਟੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਨਿਕਸੀ ਹਉਮੈ ਪੀਰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Jam Kee Thraas Mittee Sukh Paaeiaa Nikasee Houmai Peer ||1|| Rehaao ||
जम की त्रास मिटी सुखु पाइआ निकसी हउमै पीर ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Has the fear of death removed; peace is found, and the disease of egotism is taken away. ||1||Pause||
ਤਪਤਿ ਬੁਝਾਨੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਨੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤੇ ਜਿਉ ਬਾਰਿਕ ਖੀਰ ॥
Thapath Bujhaanee Anmrith Baanee Thripathae Jio Baarik Kheer ||
तपति बुझानी अम्रित बानी त्रिपते जिउ बारिक खीर ॥
The fire within is quenched, and one is satisfied through the Ambrosial Word of the Guru's Bani, as the baby is satisfied by milk.
ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਸਾਜਨ ਸੰਤ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੰਤ ਸਹਾਈ ਬੀਰ ॥੧॥

मात पिता साजन संत मेरे संत सहाई बीर ॥१॥
The Saints are my mother, father and friends. The Saints are my help and support, and my brothers. ||1||
