लगि लगि प्रीति बहु प्रीति लगाई लगि साधू संगि सवारे ॥
Fall in love, fall deeply in love with the Lord; clinging to the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, you will be exalted and embellished.

ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਰਸੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਰਸੁ ਗਾਵੈ ਰਸੁ ਵੀਚਾਰੇ ॥੭॥
Gur Prasaadh Anmrith Ras Paaeiaa Ras Gaavai Ras Veechaarae ||7||
गुर प्रसादि अम्रित रसु पाइआ रसु गावै रसु वीचारे ॥७॥
By Guru's Grace, you shall obtain the ambrosial essence; sing of this essence, and reflect upon this essence. ||7||

हरि हरि रूप रंग सभि तेरे मेरे लालन लाल गुलारे ॥
O Lord, Har, Har, all forms and colors are Yours; O my Beloved, my deep crimson ruby.

प्रभ के सेवक बहुतु अति नीके मनि सरधा करि हरि धारे ॥
God's servants are sublime and exalted; they enshrine faith for Him in their minds.

मेरे प्रभि सरधा भगति मनि भावै जन की पैज सवारे ॥१॥
Faith and devotion are pleasing to my God's Mind; He saves the honor of His humble servants. ||1||

हरि हरि सेवकु सेवा लागै सभु देखै ब्रहम पसारे ॥
The servant of the Lord, Har, Har, is committed to His service; He sees God pervading the entire expanse of the universe.
ਏਕੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਇਕੁ ਨਦਰੀ ਆਵੈ ਸਭ ਏਕਾ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਰੇ ॥੨॥
Eaek Purakh Eik Nadharee Aavai Sabh Eaekaa Nadhar Nihaarae ||2||
एकु पुरखु इकु नदरी आवै सभ एका नदरि निहारे ॥२॥
He sees the One and only Primal Lord God, who blesses all with His Glance of Grace. ||2||

हरि प्रभु ठाकुरु रविआ सभ ठाई सभु चेरी जगतु समारे ॥
God, our Lord and Master, is permeating and pervading all places; He takes care of the whole world as His slave.

आपि दइआलु दइआ दानु देवै विचि पाथर कीरे कारे ॥३॥
The Merciful Lord Himself mercifully gives His gifts, even to worms in stones. ||3||
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਵਾਸੁ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਮੁਸਕਾਈ ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਭੂਲਾ ਮਿਰਗੁ ਸਿੰਙ੍ਹਾਰੇ ॥
Anthar Vaas Bahuth Musakaaee Bhram Bhoolaa Mirag Sinn(g)haarae ||
अंतरि वासु बहुतु मुसकाई भ्रमि भूला मिरगु सिंङ्हारे ॥
Within the deer is the heavy fragrance of musk, but he is confused and deluded, and he shakes his horns looking for it.
ਬਨੁ ਬਨੁ ਢੂਢਿ ਢੂਢਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਥਾਕੀ ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਘਰਿ ਨਿਸਤਾਰੇ ॥੪॥
Ban Ban Dtoodt Dtoodt Fir Thhaakee Gur Poorai Ghar Nisathaarae ||4||
बनु बनु ढूढि ढूढि फिरि थाकी गुरि पूरै घरि निसतारे ॥४॥
Wandering, rambling and roaming through the forests and woods, I exhausted myself, and then in my own home, the Perfect Guru saved me. ||4||
ਬਾਣੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰੂ ਹੈ ਬਾਣੀ ਵਿਚਿ ਬਾਣੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਸਾਰੇ ॥
Baanee Guroo Guroo Hai Baanee Vich Baanee Anmrith Saarae ||
बाणी गुरू गुरू है बाणी विचि बाणी अम्रितु सारे ॥
The Word, the Bani is Guru, and Guru is the Bani. Within the Bani, the Ambrosial Nectar is contained.
ਗੁਰੁ ਬਾਣੀ ਕਹੈ ਸੇਵਕੁ ਜਨੁ ਮਾਨੈ ਪਰਤਖਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਿਸਤਾਰੇ ॥੫॥
Gur Baanee Kehai Saevak Jan Maanai Parathakh Guroo Nisathaarae ||5||
गुरु बाणी कहै सेवकु जनु मानै परतखि गुरू निसतारे ॥५॥
If His humble servant believes, and acts according to the Words of the Guru's Bani, then the Guru, in person, emancipates him. ||5||

Sabh Hai Breham Breham Hai Pasariaa Man Beejiaa Khaavaarae ||
सभु है ब्रहमु ब्रहमु है पसरिआ मनि बीजिआ खावारे ॥
All is God, and God is the whole expanse; man eats what he has planted.
ਜਿਉ ਜਨ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਹਾਂਸੁ ਦੁਖਿਆ ਧ੍ਰਿਸਟਬੁਧੀ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਘਰੁ ਲੂਕੀ ਜਾਰੇ ॥੬॥
Jio Jan Chandhrehaans Dhukhiaa Dhhrisattabudhhee Apunaa Ghar Lookee Jaarae ||6||
जिउ जन चंद्रहांसु दुखिआ ध्रिसटबुधी अपुना घरु लूकी जारे ॥६॥
When Dhrishtabudhi tormented the humble devotee Chandrahaans, he only set his own house on fire. ||6||
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਉ ਜਨੁ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਰਿਦ ਲੋਚੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜਨ ਕੇ ਸਾਸ ਨਿਹਾਰੇ ॥
Prabh Ko Jan Anthar Ridh Lochai Prabh Jan Kae Saas Nihaarae ||
प्रभ कउ जनु अंतरि रिद लोचै प्रभ जन के सास निहारे ॥
God's humble servant longs for Him within his heart; God watches over each breath of His humble servant.
ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਏ ਜਨ ਪੀਛੈ ਜਗੁ ਨਿਸਤਾਰੇ ॥੭॥
Kirapaa Kirapaa Kar Bhagath Dhrirraaeae Jan Peeshhai Jag Nisathaarae ||7||
क्रिपा क्रिपा करि भगति द्रिड़ाए जन पीछै जगु निसतारे ॥७॥
Mercifully, mercifully, He implants devotion within his humble servant; for his sake, God saves the whole world. ||7||

आपन आपि आपि प्रभु ठाकुरु प्रभु आपे स्रिसटि सवारे ॥
God, our Lord and Master, is Himself by Himself; God Himself embellishes the universe.

करि किरपा जाचिक जन तेरे इकु मागउ दानु पिआरे ॥

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਨਿਤ ਸਰਧਾ ਲਾਗੀ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਲਿ ਸਵਾਰੇ ॥੧॥
Sathigur Kee Nith Saradhhaa Laagee Mo Ko Har Gur Mael Savaarae ||1||
सतिगुर की नित सरधा लागी मो कउ हरि गुरु मेलि सवारे ॥१॥
I long constantly for the True Guru. Lead me to meet the Guru, O Lord, that I may be exalted and embellished. ||1||
ਸਾਕਤ ਕਰਮ ਪਾਣੀ ਜਿਉ ਮਥੀਐ ਨਿਤ ਪਾਣੀ ਝੋਲ ਝੁਲਾਰੇ ॥
Saakath Karam Paanee Jio Mathheeai Nith Paanee Jhol Jhulaarae ||
साकत करम पाणी जिउ मथीऐ नित पाणी झोल झुलारे ॥
The actions of the faithless cynic are like the churning of water; he churns, constantly churning only water.
ਮਿਲਿ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਪਰਮ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਕਢਿ ਮਾਖਨ ਕੇ ਗਟਕਾਰੇ ॥੨॥
Mil Sathasangath Param Padh Paaeiaa Kadt Maakhan Kae Gattakaarae ||2||
मिलि सतसंगति परम पदु पाइआ कढि माखन के गटकारे ॥२॥
Joining the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, the supreme status is obtained; the butter is produced, and eaten with delight. ||2||
ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਕਾਇਆ ਮਜਨੁ ਕੀਆ ਨਿਤ ਮਲਿ ਮਲਿ ਦੇਹ ਸਵਾਰੇ ॥
Nith Nith Kaaeiaa Majan Keeaa Nith Mal Mal Dhaeh Savaarae ||
नित नित काइआ मजनु कीआ नित मलि मलि देह सवारे ॥
He may constantly and continually wash his body; he may constantly rub, clean and polish his body.
