ਸਭੇ ਦੁਖ ਸੰਤਾਪ ਜਾਂ ਤੁਧਹੁ ਭੁਲੀਐ ॥
Sabhae Dhukh Santhaap Jaan Thudhhahu Bhuleeai ||
सभे दुख संताप जां तुधहु भुलीऐ ॥
When I forget You, I endure all pains and afflictions.
ਜੇ ਕੀਚਨਿ ਲਖ ਉਪਾਵ ਤਾਂ ਕਹੀ ਨ ਘੁਲੀਐ ॥
Jae Keechan Lakh Oupaav Thaan Kehee N Ghuleeai ||
जे कीचनि लख उपाव तां कही न घुलीऐ ॥
Making thousands of efforts, they are still not eliminated.
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਵਿਸਰੈ ਨਾਉ ਸੁ ਨਿਰਧਨੁ ਕਾਂਢੀਐ ॥
Jis No Visarai Naao S Niradhhan Kaandteeai ||
जिस नो विसरै नाउ सु निरधनु कांढीऐ ॥
One who forgets the Name, is known as a poor person.
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਵਿਸਰੈ ਨਾਉ ਸੁ ਜੋਨੀ ਹਾਂਢੀਐ ॥
Jis No Visarai Naao So Jonee Haandteeai ||
जिस नो विसरै नाउ सु जोनी हांढीऐ ॥
One who forgets the Name, wanders in reincarnation.
ਜਿਸੁ ਖਸਮੁ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਚਿਤਿ ਤਿਸੁ ਜਮੁ ਡੰਡੁ ਦੇ ॥
Jis Khasam N Aavai Chith This Jam Ddandd Dhae ||
जिसु खसमु न आवै चिति तिसु जमु डंडु दे ॥
One who does not remember his Lord and Master, is punished by the Messenger of Death.
ਜਿਸੁ ਖਸਮੁ ਨ ਆਵੀ ਚਿਤਿ ਰੋਗੀ ਸੇ ਗਣੇ ॥
Jis Khasam N Aavee Chith Rogee Sae Ganae ||
जिसु खसमु न आवी चिति रोगी से गणे ॥
One who does not remember his Lord and Master, is judged to be a sick person.
ਜਿਸੁ ਖਸਮੁ ਨ ਆਵੀ ਚਿਤਿ ਸੁ ਖਰੋ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੀਆ ॥
Jis Khasam N Aavee Chith S Kharo Ahankaareeaa ||
जिसु खसमु न आवी चिति सु खरो अहंकारीआ ॥
One who does not remember his Lord and Master, is egotistical and proud.
ਸੋਈ ਦੁਹੇਲਾ ਜਗਿ ਜਿਨਿ ਨਾਉ ਵਿਸਾਰੀਆ ॥੧੪॥
Soee Dhuhaelaa Jag Jin Naao Visaareeaa ||14||
सोई दुहेला जगि जिनि नाउ विसारीआ ॥१४॥
One who forgets the Name is miserable in this world. ||14||

ਤੈਡੀ ਬੰਦਸਿ ਮੈ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਡਿਠਾ ਤੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਣਾ ॥
Thaiddee Bandhas Mai Koe N Ddithaa Thoo Naanak Man Bhaanaa ||
तैडी बंदसि मै कोइ न डिठा तू नानक मनि भाणा ॥
I have not seen any other like You. You alone are pleasing to Nanak's mind.
ਘੋਲਿ ਘੁਮਾਈ ਤਿਸੁ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਵਿਚੋਲੇ ਜੈ ਮਿਲਿ ਕੰਤੁ ਪਛਾਣਾ ॥੧॥
Ghol Ghumaaee This Mithr Vicholae Jai Mil Kanth Pashhaanaa ||1||
घोलि घुमाई तिसु मित्र विचोले जै मिलि कंतु पछाणा ॥१॥
I am a dedicated, devoted sacrifice to that friend, that mediator, who leads me to recognize my Husband Lord. ||1||

ਪਾਵ ਸੁਹਾਵੇ ਜਾਂ ਤਉ ਧਿਰਿ ਜੁਲਦੇ ਸੀਸੁ ਸੁਹਾਵਾ ਚਰਣੀ ॥
Paav Suhaavae Jaan Tho Dhhir Juladhae Sees Suhaavaa Charanee ||
पाव सुहावे जां तउ धिरि जुलदे सीसु सुहावा चरणी ॥
Beautiful are those feet which walk towards You; beautiful is that head which falls at Your Feet.
ਮੁਖੁ ਸੁਹਾਵਾ ਜਾਂ ਤਉ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਵੈ ਜੀਉ ਪਇਆ ਤਉ ਸਰਣੀ ॥੨॥
Mukh Suhaavaa Jaan Tho Jas Gaavai Jeeo Paeiaa Tho Saranee ||2||
मुखु सुहावा जां तउ जसु गावै जीउ पइआ तउ सरणी ॥२॥
Beautiful is that mouth which sings Your Praises; beautiful is that soul which seeks Your Sanctuary. ||2||

Meeting the Lord's brides in the True Congregation I sing the songs of joy.
ਘਰ ਕਾ ਹੋਆ ਬੰਧਾਨੁ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਨ ਧਾਵੀਆ ॥
Ghar Kaa Hoaa Bandhhaan Bahurr N Dhhaaveeaa ||
घर का होआ बंधानु बहुड़ि न धावीआ ॥
The home of my heart is now held steady, and I shall not go out wandering again.
ਬਿਨਠੀ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਦੁਰਤੁ ਸੋਇ ਕੂੜਾਵੀਆ ॥
Binathee Dhuramath Dhurath Soe Koorraaveeaa ||
बिनठी दुरमति दुरतु सोइ कूड़ावीआ ॥
Evil-mindedness has been dispelled, along with sin and my bad reputation.
ਸੀਲਵੰਤਿ ਪਰਧਾਨਿ ਰਿਦੈ ਸਚਾਵੀਆ ॥
Seelavanth Paradhhaan Ridhai Sachaaveeaa ||
सीलवंति परधानि रिदै सचावीआ ॥
I am well-known as being calm and good-natured; my heart is filled with Truth.
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਇਕੁ ਇਕ ਰੀਤਾਵੀਆ ॥
Anthar Baahar Eik Eik Reethaaveeaa ||
अंतरि बाहरि इकु इक रीतावीआ ॥
Inwardly and outwardly, the One and only Lord is my way.
ਮਨਿ ਦਰਸਨ ਕੀ ਪਿਆਸ ਚਰਣ ਦਾਸਾਵੀਆ ॥
Man Dharasan Kee Piaas Charan Dhaasaaveeaa ||
मनि दरसन की पिआस चरण दासावीआ ॥
My mind is thirsty for the Blessed Vision of His Darshan. I am a slave at His feet.
ਸੋਭਾ ਬਣੀ ਸੀਗਾਰੁ ਖਸਮਿ ਜਾਂ ਰਾਵੀਆ ॥
Sobhaa Banee Seegaar Khasam Jaan Raaveeaa ||
सोभा बणी सीगारु खसमि जां रावीआ ॥
I am glorified and embellished, when my Lord and Master enjoys me.
ਮਿਲੀਆ ਆਇ ਸੰਜੋਗਿ ਜਾਂ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੀਆ ॥੧੫॥
Mileeaa Aae Sanjog Jaan This Bhaaveeaa ||15||
मिलीआ आइ संजोगि जां तिसु भावीआ ॥१५॥
I meet Him through my blessed destiny, when it is pleasing to His Will. ||15||

ਹਭਿ ਗੁਣ ਤੈਡੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀਉ ਮੈ ਕੂ ਥੀਏ ਮੈ ਨਿਰਗੁਣ ਤੇ ਕਿਆ ਹੋਵੈ ॥
Habh Gun Thaiddae Naanak Jeeo Mai Koo Thheeeae Mai Niragun Thae Kiaa Hovai ||
हभि गुण तैडे नानक जीउ मै कू थीए मै निरगुण ते किआ होवै ॥
All virtues are Yours, Dear Lord; You bestow them upon us. I am unworthy - what can I achieve, O Nanak?
ਤਉ ਜੇਵਡੁ ਦਾਤਾਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਜਾਚਕੁ ਸਦਾ ਜਾਚੋਵੈ ॥੧॥
Tho Jaevadd Dhaathaar N Koee Jaachak Sadhaa Jaachovai ||1||
तउ जेवडु दातारु न कोई जाचकु सदा जाचोवै ॥१॥
There is no other Giver as great as You. I am a beggar; I beg from You forever. ||1||

ਦੇਹ ਛਿਜੰਦੜੀ ਊਣ ਮਝੂਣਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਸਜਣਿ ਜੀਉ ਧਰਾਇਆ ॥
Dhaeh Shhijandharree Oon Majhoonaa Gur Sajan Jeeo Dhharaaeiaa ||
देह छिजंदड़ी ऊण मझूणा गुरि सजणि जीउ धराइआ ॥
My body was wasting away, and I was depressed. The Guru, my Friend, has encouraged and consoled me.
ਹਭੇ ਸੁਖ ਸੁਹੇਲੜਾ ਸੁਤਾ ਜਿਤਾ ਜਗੁ ਸਬਾਇਆ ॥੨॥
Habhae Sukh Suhaelarraa Suthaa Jithaa Jag Sabaaeiaa ||2||
हभे सुख सुहेलड़ा सुता जिता जगु सबाइआ ॥२॥
I sleep in total peace and comfort; I have conquered the whole world. ||2||

ਵਡਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਰਬਾਰੁ ਸਚਾ ਤੁਧੁ ਤਖਤੁ ॥
Vaddaa Thaeraa Dharabaar Sachaa Thudhh Thakhath ||
वडा तेरा दरबारु सचा तुधु तखतु ॥
The Darbaar of Your Court is glorious and great. Your holy throne is True.
ਸਿਰਿ ਸਾਹਾ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੁ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਚਉਰੁ ਛਤੁ ॥
Sir Saahaa Paathisaahu Nihachal Chour Shhath ||
सिरि साहा पातिसाहु निहचलु चउरु छतु ॥
You are the Emperor over the heads of kings. Your canopy and chauree (fly-brush) are permanent and unchanging.
ਜੋ ਭਾਵੈ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਸੋਈ ਸਚੁ ਨਿਆਉ ॥
Jo Bhaavai Paarabreham Soee Sach Niaao ||
जो भावै पारब्रहम सोई सचु निआउ ॥
That alone is true justice, which is pleasing to the Will of the Supreme Lord God.
ਜੇ ਭਾਵੈ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਨਿਥਾਵੇ ਮਿਲੈ ਥਾਉ ॥
Jae Bhaavai Paarabreham Nithhaavae Milai Thhaao ||
जे भावै पारब्रहम निथावे मिलै थाउ ॥
Even the homeless receive a home, when it is pleasing to the Will of the Supreme Lord God.
ਜੋ ਕੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੀ ਕਰਤਾਰਿ ਸਾਈ ਭਲੀ ਗਲ ॥
Jo Keenhee Karathaar Saaee Bhalee Gal ||
जो कीन्ही करतारि साई भली गल ॥
Whatever the Creator Lord does, is a good thing.
ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੀ ਪਛਾਤਾ ਖਸਮੁ ਸੇ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਮਲ ॥
Jinhee Pashhaathaa Khasam Sae Dharagaah Mal ||
जिन्ही पछाता खसमु से दरगाह मल ॥
Those who recognize their Lord and Master, are seated in the Court of the Lord.
ਸਹੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਫੁਰਮਾਨੁ ਕਿਨੈ ਨ ਫੇਰੀਐ ॥
Sehee Thaeraa Furamaan Kinai N Faereeai ||
सही तेरा फुरमानु किनै न फेरीऐ ॥
True is Your Command; no one can challenge it.
ਕਾਰਣ ਕਰਣ ਕਰੀਮ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਤੇਰੀਐ ॥੧੬॥

Pandhh Julandharree Maeraa Andhar Thandtaa Gur Dharasan Dhaekh Nihaalee ||1||
पंधि जुलंदड़ी मेरा अंदरु ठंढा गुर दरसनु देखि निहाली ॥१॥
Walking on the Path, I have found cool tranquility deep within; gazing upon the Blessed Vision of the Guru's Darshan, I am enraptured. ||1||

I have found the jewel within my heart.
ਮੁਲਿ ਨ ਘਿਧਾ ਮੈ ਕੂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਦਿਤਾ ॥
Mul N Ghidhhaa Mai Koo Sathigur Dhithaa ||
मुलि न घिधा मै कू सतिगुरि दिता ॥
I was not charged for it; the True Guru gave it to me.
ਢੂੰਢ ਵਞਾਈ ਥੀਆ ਥਿਤਾ ॥
Dtoondt Vanjaaee Thheeaa Thhithaa ||
ढूंढ वञाई थीआ थिता ॥
My search has ended, and I have become stable.
ਜਨਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਤਾ ॥੨॥

जनमु पदारथु नानक जिता ॥२॥
O Nanak, I have conquered this priceless human life. ||2||

जिस कै मसतकि करमु होइ सो सेवा लागा ॥
One who has such good karma inscribed upon his forehead, is committed to the Lord's service.
ਜਿਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਕਮਲੁ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸਿਆ ਸੋ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਜਾਗਾ ॥
Jis Gur Mil Kamal Pragaasiaa So Anadhin Jaagaa ||
जिसु गुर मिलि कमलु प्रगासिआ सो अनदिनु जागा ॥
One whose heart lotus blossoms forth upon meeting the Guru, remains awake and aware, night and day.
ਲਗਾ ਰੰਗੁ ਚਰਣਾਰਬਿੰਦ ਸਭੁ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਭਉ ਭਾਗਾ ॥
Lagaa Rang Charanaarabindh Sabh Bhram Bho Bhaagaa ||
लगा रंगु चरणारबिंद सभु भ्रमु भउ भागा ॥
All doubt and fear run away from one who is in love with the Lord's lotus feet.
