ਹਉ ਵਾਰਿ ਵਾਰਿ ਜਾਉ ਗੁਰ ਗੋਪਾਲ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

हउ वारि वारि जाउ गुर गोपाल ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
I am a sacrifice, a sacrifice to the Guru, the Lord of the World. ||1||Pause||
ਮੋਹਿ ਨਿਰਗੁਨ ਤੁਮ ਪੂਰਨ ਦਾਤੇ ਦੀਨਾ ਨਾਥ ਦਇਆਲ ॥੧॥
Mohi Niragun Thum Pooran Dhaathae Dheenaa Naathh Dhaeiaal ||1||
मोहि निरगुन तुम पूरन दाते दीना नाथ दइआल ॥१॥
I am unworthy; You are the Perfect Giver. You are the Merciful Master of the meek. ||1||
ਊਠਤ ਬੈਠਤ ਸੋਵਤ ਜਾਗਤ ਜੀਅ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਧਨ ਮਾਲ ॥੨॥
Oothath Baithath Sovath Jaagath Jeea Praan Dhhan Maal ||2||
ऊठत बैठत सोवत जागत जीअ प्रान धन माल ॥२॥
While standing up and sitting down, while sleeping and awake, You are my soul, my breath of life, my wealth and property. ||2||
ਦਰਸਨ ਪਿਆਸ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਮਨਿ ਮੇਰੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਰਸ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥੩॥੮॥੯॥
Dharasan Piaas Bahuth Man Maerai Naanak Dharas Nihaal ||3||8||9||
दरसन पिआस बहुतु मनि मेरै नानक दरस निहाल ॥३॥८॥९॥
Within my mind there is such a great thirst for the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan. Nanak is enraptured with Your Glance of Grace. ||3||8||9||

ਕੋਊ ਹੈ ਮੇਰੋ ਸਾਜਨੁ ਮੀਤੁ ॥
Kooo Hai Maero Saajan Meeth ||
कोऊ है मेरो साजनु मीतु ॥
Is there any friend or companion of mine,
ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੁਨਾਵੈ ਨੀਤ ॥
Har Naam Sunaavai Neeth ||
हरि नामु सुनावै नीत ॥
Who will constantly share the Lord's Name with me?
ਬਿਨਸੈ ਦੁਖੁ ਬਿਪਰੀਤਿ ॥
Binasai Dhukh Bipareeth ||
बिनसै दुखु बिपरीति ॥
Will he rid me of my pains and evil tendencies?
ਸਭੁ ਅਰਪਉ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਚੀਤੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Sabh Arapo Man Than Cheeth ||1|| Rehaao ||
सभु अरपउ मनु तनु चीतु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
I would surrender my mind, body, consciousness and everything. ||1||Pause||
ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਆਪਨ ਕੀਤ ॥
Koee Viralaa Aapan Keeth ||
कोई विरला आपन कीत ॥
How rare is that one whom the Lord makes His own,
ਸੰਗਿ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਮਨੁ ਸੀਤ ॥
Sang Charan Kamal Man Seeth ||
संगि चरन कमल मनु सीत ॥
And whose mind is sewn into the Lord's Lotus Feet.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਦੀਤ ॥੧॥
Kar Kirapaa Har Jas Dheeth ||1||
करि किरपा हरि जसु दीत ॥१॥
Granting His Grace, the Lord blesses him with His Praise. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਭਜਿ ਜਨਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਜੀਤ ॥
Har Bhaj Janam Padhaarathh Jeeth ||
हरि भजि जनमु पदारथु जीत ॥
Vibrating, meditating on the Lord, he is victorious in this precious human life,
ਕੋਟਿ ਪਤਿਤ ਹੋਹਿ ਪੁਨੀਤ ॥
Kott Pathith Hohi Puneeth ||
कोटि पतित होहि पुनीत ॥
And millions of sinners are sanctified.
ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਕੀਤ ॥੨॥੧॥੧੦॥੧੯॥

O Lord, Your Name is the support of my mind and body.
ਖਿਨੁ ਪਲੁ ਰਹਿ ਨ ਸਕਉ ਬਿਨੁ ਸੇਵਾ ਮੈ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Khin Pal Rehi N Sako Bin Saevaa Mai Guramath Naam Samhaarae ||1|| Rehaao ||
खिनु पलु रहि न सकउ बिनु सेवा मै गुरमति नामु सम्हारे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
I cannot survive for a moment, even for an instant, without serving You. Following the Guru's Teachings, I dwell upon the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਮਨਿ ਧਿਆਵਹੁ ਮੈ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥
Har Har Har Har Har Man Dhhiaavahu Mai Har Har Naam Piaarae ||
हरि हरि हरि हरि हरि मनि धिआवहु मै हरि हरि नामु पिआरे ॥
Within my mind, I meditate on the Lord, Har, Har, Har, Har, Har. The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is so dear to me.
ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਭਏ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਵਾਰੇ ॥੧॥
Dheen Dhaeiaal Bheae Prabh Thaakur Gur Kai Sabadh Savaarae ||1||
दीन दइआल भए प्रभ ठाकुर गुर कै सबदि सवारे ॥१॥
When God,my Lord and Master,became merciful to me the meek one, I was exalted by the Word of the Guru's Shabad. ||1||
ਮਧਸੂਦਨ ਜਗਜੀਵਨ ਮਾਧੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰੇ ॥
Madhhasoodhan Jagajeevan Maadhho Maerae Thaakur Agam Apaarae ||
मधसूदन जगजीवन माधो मेरे ठाकुर अगम अपारे ॥
Almighty Lord, Slayer of demons, Life of the World, my Lord and Master, inaccessible and infinite:
ਇਕ ਬਿਨਉ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਉ ਗੁਰ ਆਗੈ ਮੈ ਸਾਧੂ ਚਰਨ ਪਖਾਰੇ ॥੨॥
Eik Bino Baenathee Karo Gur Aagai Mai Saadhhoo Charan Pakhaarae ||2||
इक बिनउ बेनती करउ गुर आगै मै साधू चरन पखारे ॥२॥
I offer this one prayer to the Guru, to bless me, that I may wash the feet of the Holy. ||2||
ਸਹਸ ਨੇਤ੍ਰ ਨੇਤ੍ਰ ਹੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਏਕੋ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਿਰਾਰੇ ॥
Sehas Naethr Naethr Hai Prabh Ko Prabh Eaeko Purakh Niraarae ||
सहस नेत्र नेत्र है प्रभ कउ प्रभ एको पुरखु निरारे ॥
The thousands of eyes are the eyes of God; the One God, the Primal Being, remains unattached.
ਸਹਸ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਏਕੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਏਕੋ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਤਾਰੇ ॥੩॥
Sehas Moorath Eaeko Prabh Thaakur Prabh Eaeko Guramath Thaarae ||3||
सहस मूरति एको प्रभु ठाकुरु प्रभु एको गुरमति तारे ॥३॥
The One God, our Lord and Master, has thousands of forms; God alone, through the Guru's Teachings, saves us. ||3||
ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦਮੋਦਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰੇ ॥
Guramath Naam Dhamodhar Paaeiaa Har Har Naam Our Dhhaarae ||
गुरमति नामु दमोदरु पाइआ हरि हरि नामु उरि धारे ॥
Following the Guru's Teachings, I have been blessed with the Naam, the Name of the Lord. I have enshrined within my heart the Name of the Lord, Har, Har.
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਬਨੀ ਅਤਿ ਮੀਠੀ ਜਿਉ ਗੂੰਗਾ ਗਟਕ ਸਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰੇ ॥੪॥
Har Har Kathhaa Banee Ath Meethee Jio Goongaa Gattak Samhaarae ||4||
हरि हरि कथा बनी अति मीठी जिउ गूंगा गटक सम्हारे ॥४॥
The sermon of the Lord, Har, Har, is so very sweet; like the mute, I taste its sweetness, but I cannot describe it at all. ||4||
ਰਸਨਾ ਸਾਦ ਚਖੈ ਭਾਇ ਦੂਜੈ ਅਤਿ ਫੀਕੇ ਲੋਭ ਬਿਕਾਰੇ ॥
Rasanaa Saadh Chakhai Bhaae Dhoojai Ath Feekae Lobh Bikaarae ||
रसना साद चखै भाइ दूजै अति फीके लोभ बिकारे ॥
The tongue savors the bland, insipid taste of the love of duality, greed and corruption.
ਜੋ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਾਦ ਚਖਹਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮਾ ਸਭ ਅਨ ਰਸ ਸਾਦ ਬਿਸਾਰੇ ॥੫॥
Jo Guramukh Saadh Chakhehi Raam Naamaa Sabh An Ras Saadh Bisaarae ||5||
जो गुरमुखि साद चखहि राम नामा सभ अन रस साद बिसारे ॥५॥
The Gurmukh tastes the flavor of the Lord's Name, and all other tastes and flavors are forgotten. ||5||
ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਸੁਣਿ ਕਹਤਿਆ ਪਾਪ ਨਿਵਾਰੇ ॥
Guramath Raam Naam Dhhan Paaeiaa Sun Kehathiaa Paap Nivaarae ||
गुरमति राम नामु धनु पाइआ सुणि कहतिआ पाप निवारे ॥
Following the Guru's Teachings, I have obtained the wealth of the Lord's Name; hearing it, and chanting it, sins are eradicated.
ਧਰਮ ਰਾਇ ਜਮੁ ਨੇੜਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਮੇਰੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕੇ ਜਨ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥੬॥
Dhharam Raae Jam Naerr N Aavai Maerae Thaakur Kae Jan Piaarae ||6||
धरम राइ जमु नेड़ि न आवै मेरे ठाकुर के जन पिआरे ॥६॥
The Messenger of Death and the Righteous Judge of Dharma do not even approach the beloved servant of my Lord and Master. ||6||
ਸਾਸ ਸਾਸ ਸਾਸ ਹੈ ਜੇਤੇ ਮੈ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰੇ ॥
Saas Saas Saas Hai Jaethae Mai Guramath Naam Samhaarae ||
सास सास सास है जेते मै गुरमति नामु सम्हारे ॥
With as many breaths as I have, I chant the Naam, under Guru's Instructions.
ਸਾਸੁ ਸਾਸੁ ਜਾਇ ਨਾਮੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਸੋ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਸਾਸੁ ਬਿਕਾਰੇ ॥੭॥
Saas Saas Jaae Naamai Bin So Birathhaa Saas Bikaarae ||7||
सासु सासु जाइ नामै बिनु सो बिरथा सासु बिकारे ॥७॥
Each and every breath which escapes me without the Naam - that breath is useless and corrupt. ||7||
ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਿ ਦੀਨ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਨੀ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਮੇਲਿ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥
Kirapaa Kirapaa Kar Dheen Prabh Saranee Mo Ko Har Jan Mael Piaarae ||
क्रिपा क्रिपा करि दीन प्रभ सरनी मो कउ हरि जन मेलि पिआरे ॥
Please grant Your Grace; I am meek; I seek Your Sanctuary, God. Unite me with Your beloved, humble servants.
