नामु जपत परम सुखु पाईऐ आवा गउणु मिटै मेरे मीत ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

गुरु पूरा मेरा गुरु पूरा ॥
My Guru is perfect, my Guru is perfect.
ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਹੇਲੇ ਸਗਲ ਬਿਨਾਸੇ ਰੋਗ ਕੂਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਨੀਦ ਸੁਹੇਲੀ ਨਾਮ ਕੀ ਲਾਗੀ ਭੂਖ ॥

नीद सुहेली नाम की लागी भूख ॥
One who feels hunger for the Naam sleeps in peace.
ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਸਭ ਦੂਖ ॥੨॥
Har Simarath Binasae Sabh Dhookh ||2||
हरि सिमरत बिनसे सभ दूख ॥२॥
Meditating in remembrance on the Lord, all pains are dispelled. ||2||
ਸਹਜਿ ਅਨੰਦ ਕਰਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ ॥

Ganbheer Dhheer Naam Heer Ooch Mooch Apaaran ||
ग्मभीर धीर नाम हीर ऊच मूच अपारं ॥
The Naam, the Name of the Lord, is deep and profound, strong, poised, lofty, exalted and infinite.

Roop Rang Sugandhh Bhog Thiaag Chalae Maaeiaa Shhalae Kanik Kaaminee ||1|| Rehaao ||
रूप रंग सुगंध भोग तिआगि चले माइआ छले कनिक कामिनी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
You must abandon your beauty, pleasures, fragrances and enjoyments; beguiled by gold and sexual desire, you must still leave Maya behind. ||1||Pause||
ਭੰਡਾਰ ਦਰਬ ਅਰਬ ਖਰਬ ਪੇਖਿ ਲੀਲਾ ਮਨੁ ਸਧਾਰੈ ॥
Bhanddaar Dharab Arab Kharab Paekh Leelaa Man Sadhhaarai ||
भंडार दरब अरब खरब पेखि लीला मनु सधारै ॥
You gaze upon billions and trillions of treasures and riches, which delight and comfort your mind,
ਨਹ ਸੰਗਿ ਗਾਮਨੀ ॥੧॥
Neh Sang Gaamanee ||1||
नह संगि गामनी ॥१॥
But these will not go along with you. ||1||
ਸੁਤ ਕਲਤ੍ਰ ਭ੍ਰਾਤ ਮੀਤ ਉਰਝਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਭਰਮਿ ਮੋਹਿਓ ਇਹ ਬਿਰਖ ਛਾਮਨੀ ॥
Suth Kalathr Bhraath Meeth Ourajh Pariou Bharam Mohiou Eih Birakh Shhaamanee ||
सुत कलत्र भ्रात मीत उरझि परिओ भरमि मोहिओ इह बिरख छामनी ॥
Entangled with children, spouse, siblings and friends, you are enticed and fooled; these pass like the shadow of a tree.
ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਸਰਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੁਖੁ ਸੰਤ ਭਾਵਨੀ ॥੨॥੨॥੬੦॥

रे मन ओट लेहु हरि नामा ॥
O mind,take the sheltering support of the Lord's Name.
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਸਿਮਰਨਿ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਨਾਸੈ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਪਦੁ ਨਿਰਬਾਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Jaa Kai Simaran Dhuramath Naasai Paavehi Padh Nirabaanaa ||1|| Rehaao ||
जा कै सिमरनि दुरमति नासै पावहि पदु निरबाना ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Remembering Him in meditation, evil-mindedness is dispelled, and the state of Nirvaanaa is obtained. ||1||Pause||
ਬਡਭਾਗੀ ਤਿਹ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਜਾਨਹੁ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵੈ ॥
Baddabhaagee Thih Jan Ko Jaanahu Jo Har Kae Gun Gaavai ||
बडभागी तिह जन कउ जानहु जो हरि के गुन गावै ॥
Know that one who sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord is very fortunate.
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਪਾਪ ਖੋਇ ਕੈ ਫੁਨਿ ਬੈਕੁੰਠਿ ਸਿਧਾਵੈ ॥੧॥
Janam Janam Kae Paap Khoe Kai Fun Baikunth Sidhhaavai ||1||
जनम जनम के पाप खोइ कै फुनि बैकुंठि सिधावै ॥१॥
The sins of countless incarnations are washed off, and he attains the heavenly realm. ||1||
