Jo Maagehi Soee Soee Paavehi Saev Har Kae Charan Rasaaein ||
जो मागहि सोई सोई पावहि सेवि हरि के चरण रसाइण ॥
Whatever I ask for, I receive; I serve at the Lord's feet, the source of nectar.
ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਦੁਹਹੂ ਤੇ ਛੂਟਹਿ ਭਵਜਲੁ ਜਗਤੁ ਤਰਾਇਣ ॥੧॥
Janam Maran Dhuhehoo Thae Shhoottehi Bhavajal Jagath Tharaaein ||1||
जनम मरण दुहहू ते छूटहि भवजलु जगतु तराइण ॥१॥
I am released from the bondage of birth and death, and so I cross over the terrifying world-ocean. ||1||

Searching and seeking, I have come to understand the essence of reality; the slave of the Lord of the Universe is dedicated to Him.

The slanderer, by Guru's Grace, has been turned away.

कालु जालु जमु जोहि न साकै सच का पंथा थाटिओ ॥
Death, and the noose of death, cannot see me; I have adopted the Path of Truth.
ਖਾਤ ਖਰਚਤ ਕਿਛੁ ਨਿਖੁਟਤ ਨਾਹੀ ਰਾਮ ਰਤਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਖਾਟਿਓ ॥੧॥
Khaath Kharachath Kishh Nikhuttath Naahee Raam Rathan Dhhan Khaattiou ||1||
खात खरचत किछु निखुटत नाही राम रतनु धनु खाटिओ ॥१॥
I have earned the wealth, the jewel of the Lord's Name; eating and spending, it is never used up. ||1||
ਭਸਮਾ ਭੂਤ ਹੋਆ ਖਿਨ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਅਪਨਾ ਕੀਆ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
Bhasamaa Bhooth Hoaa Khin Bheethar Apanaa Keeaa Paaeiaa ||
भसमा भूत होआ खिन भीतरि अपना कीआ पाइआ ॥
In an instant, the slanderer was reduced to ashes; he received the rewards of his own actions.
ਆਗਮ ਨਿਗਮੁ ਕਹੈ ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਸਭੁ ਦੇਖੈ ਲੋਕੁ ਸਬਾਇਆ ॥੨॥੬॥੧੧॥
Aagam Nigam Kehai Jan Naanak Sabh Dhaekhai Lok Sabaaeiaa ||2||6||11||
आगम निगमु कहै जनु नानकु सभु देखै लोकु सबाइआ ॥२॥६॥११॥

O miser, your body and mind are full of sin.
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਭਜਨੁ ਕਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਢਾਕਨ ਕਉ ਇਕੁ ਹਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

साधसंगि भजनु करि सुआमी ढाकन कउ इकु हरे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, vibrate, meditate on the Lord and Master; He alone can cover your sins. ||1||Pause||

अनिक छिद्र बोहिथ के छुटकत थाम न जाही करे ॥
When many holes appear in your boat, you cannot plug them with your hands.
ਜਿਸ ਕਾ ਬੋਹਿਥੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਆਰਾਧੇ ਖੋਟੇ ਸੰਗਿ ਖਰੇ ॥੧॥
Jis Kaa Bohithh This Aaraadhhae Khottae Sang Kharae ||1||
जिस का बोहिथु तिसु आराधे खोटे संगि खरे ॥१॥
Worship and adore the One, to whom your boat belongs; He saves the counterfeit along with the genuine. ||1||
ਗਲੀ ਸੈਲ ਉਠਾਵਤ ਚਾਹੈ ਓਇ ਊਹਾ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਧਰੇ ॥
Galee Sail Outhaavath Chaahai Oue Oohaa Hee Hai Dhharae ||
गली सैल उठावत चाहै ओइ ऊहा ही है धरे ॥
People want to lift up the mountain with mere words, but it just stays there.
ਜੋਰੁ ਸਕਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਿਛੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਸਰਣਿ ਪਰੇ ॥੨॥੭॥੧੨॥

जोरु सकति नानक किछु नाही प्रभ राखहु सरणि परे ॥२॥७॥१२॥

Kaadt Kuthaar Pith Baath Hanthaa Aoukhadhh Har Ko Naao ||1|| Rehaao ||
काढि कुठारु पित बात हंता अउखधु हरि को नाउ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
The Name of the Lord is the medicine; it is like an axe, which destroys the diseases caused by anger and egotism. ||1||Pause||
ਤੀਨੇ ਤਾਪ ਨਿਵਾਰਣਹਾਰਾ ਦੁਖ ਹੰਤਾ ਸੁਖ ਰਾਸਿ ॥
Theenae Thaap Nivaaranehaaraa Dhukh Hanthaa Sukh Raas ||
तीने ताप निवारणहारा दुख हंता सुख रासि ॥
The Lord is the One who removes the three fevers; He is the Destroyer of pain, the warehouse of peace.

ता कउ बिघनु न कोऊ लागै जा की प्रभ आगै अरदासि ॥१॥
No obstacles block the path of one who prays before God. ||1||

संत प्रसादि बैद नाराइण करण कारण प्रभ एक ॥
By the Grace of the Saints, the Lord has become my physician; God alone is the Doer, the Cause of causes.
ਬਾਲ ਬੁਧਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਟੇਕ ॥੨॥੮॥੧੩॥

बाल बुधि पूरन सुखदाता नानक हरि हरि टेक ॥२॥८॥१३॥

The One who owns me, has again taken care of me; my sorrow and suffering is past.

हाथ देइ राखे जन अपने हरि होए माई बाप ॥१॥
He gave me His hand, and saved me, His humble servant; the Lord is my mother and father. ||1||
ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਹੋਏ ਮਿਹਰਵਾਨਾ ਦਯਾ ਧਾਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਥ ॥
Jeea Janth Hoeae Miharavaanaa Dhayaa Dhhaaree Har Naathh ||
जीअ जंत होए मिहरवाना दया धारी हरि नाथ ॥
All beings and creatures have become kind to me; my Lord and Master blessed me with His Kind Mercy.

साधसंगि परम गति पाईऐ माइआ रचि बंधि हारे ॥१॥
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, the supreme state is attained. But those who are engrossed in the bondage of Maya, lose the game of life. ||1||
