Kar Kirapaa Mohi Saadhhasang Dheejai ||4||
करि किरपा मोहि साधसंगु दीजै ॥४॥
Have Mercy upon me, and bless me with the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||4||
ਤਉ ਕਿਛੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਜਉ ਹੋਈਐ ਰੇਨਾ ॥
Tho Kishh Paaeeai Jo Hoeeai Raenaa ||
तउ किछु पाईऐ जउ होईऐ रेना ॥
He alone obtains something, who becomes the dust under the feet of all.
ਜਿਸਹਿ ਬੁਝਾਏ ਤਿਸੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਲੈਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥੨॥੮॥
Jisehi Bujhaaeae This Naam Lainaa ||1|| Rehaao ||2||8||
जिसहि बुझाए तिसु नामु लैना ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥२॥८॥

ਘਰ ਮਹਿ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਨਦਰਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥
Ghar Mehi Thaakur Nadhar N Aavai ||
घर महि ठाकुरु नदरि न आवै ॥
Within the home of his own self, he does not even come to see his Lord and Master.
ਗਲ ਮਹਿ ਪਾਹਣੁ ਲੈ ਲਟਕਾਵੈ ॥੧॥
Gal Mehi Paahan Lai Lattakaavai ||1||
गल महि पाहणु लै लटकावै ॥१॥
And yet, around his neck, he hangs a stone god. ||1||
ਭਰਮੇ ਭੂਲਾ ਸਾਕਤੁ ਫਿਰਤਾ ॥
Bharamae Bhoolaa Saakath Firathaa ||
भरमे भूला साकतु फिरता ॥
The faithless cynic wanders around, deluded by doubt.
ਨੀਰੁ ਬਿਰੋਲੈ ਖਪਿ ਖਪਿ ਮਰਤਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Neer Birolai Khap Khap Marathaa ||1|| Rehaao ||
नीरु बिरोलै खपि खपि मरता ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
He churns water, and after wasting his life away, he dies. ||1||Pause||
ਜਿਸੁ ਪਾਹਣ ਕਉ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਕਹਤਾ ॥
Jis Paahan Ko Thaakur Kehathaa ||
जिसु पाहण कउ ठाकुरु कहता ॥
That stone, which he calls his god,
ਓਹੁ ਪਾਹਣੁ ਲੈ ਉਸ ਕਉ ਡੁਬਤਾ ॥੨॥
Ouhu Paahan Lai Ous Ko Ddubathaa ||2||
ओहु पाहणु लै उस कउ डुबता ॥२॥
That stone pulls him down and drowns him. ||2||
ਗੁਨਹਗਾਰ ਲੂਣ ਹਰਾਮੀ ॥
Gunehagaar Loon Haraamee ||
गुनहगार लूण हरामी ॥
O sinner, you are untrue to your own self;
ਪਾਹਣ ਨਾਵ ਨ ਪਾਰਗਿਰਾਮੀ ॥੩॥
Paahan Naav N Paaragiraamee ||3||
पाहण नाव न पारगिरामी ॥३॥
A boat of stone will not carry you across. ||3||
ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਜਾਤਾ ॥

जप तप संजम देउ जती री ॥
I would trade meditation, austerity, self-discipline and celibacy,
ਇਕ ਨਿਮਖ ਮਿਲਾਵਹੁ ਮੋਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਨਪਤੀ ਰੀ ॥੩॥
Eik Nimakh Milaavahu Mohi Praanapathee Ree ||3||
इक निमख मिलावहु मोहि प्रानपती री ॥३॥
If I could only meet the Lord of my life, for even an instant. ||3||

There are millions of servants in Your Court - Your Royal Darbaar.
ਨਿਮਖ ਨਿਮਖ ਵਸੈ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਨਾਲੇ ॥੩॥

निमख निमख वसै तिन्ह नाले ॥३॥
Each and every instant, You dwell with them. ||3||

There, the Saints celebrate with their Lord. ||2||

तह मरणु न जीवणु सोगु न हरखा ॥
Neither birth nor death is there, neither pain nor pleasure.

साच नाम की अम्रित वरखा ॥३॥

जा की धीरक इसु मनहि सधारे ॥
His comfort and consolation soothes and supports my mind.

जा कै सिमरणि मुख उजलारे ॥३॥
Remembering Him in meditation, my face is radiant and bright. ||3||

प्रभ के सेवक प्रभि आपि सवारे ॥
God embellishes and supports His servants.
