ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਜੀਵਾ ਗੁਰ ਤੇਰਾ ॥
Dharasan Dhaekh Jeevaa Gur Thaeraa ||
दरसनु देखि जीवा गुर तेरा ॥
Gazing upon the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan, I live.
ਪੂਰਨ ਕਰਮੁ ਹੋਇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰਾ ॥੧॥
Pooran Karam Hoe Prabh Maeraa ||1||
पूरन करमु होइ प्रभ मेरा ॥१॥
My karma is perfect, O my God. ||1||
ਇਹ ਬੇਨੰਤੀ ਸੁਣਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ॥

इह बेनंती सुणि प्रभ मेरे ॥
Please, listen to this prayer, O my God.
ਦੇਹਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਰਿ ਅਪਣੇ ਚੇਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Dhaehi Naam Kar Apanae Chaerae ||1|| Rehaao ||
देहि नामु करि अपणे चेरे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Please bless me with Your Name, and make me Your chaylaa, Your disciple. ||1||Pause||
ਅਪਣੀ ਸਰਣਿ ਰਾਖੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦਾਤੇ ॥
Apanee Saran Raakh Prabh Dhaathae ||
अपणी सरणि राखु प्रभ दाते ॥
Please keep me under Your Protection, O God, O Great Giver.
ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਕਿਨੈ ਵਿਰਲੈ ਜਾਤੇ ॥੨॥

गुर प्रसादि किनै विरलै जाते ॥२॥

सुनहु बिनउ प्रभ मेरे मीता ॥

ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਵਸਹਿ ਮੇਰੈ ਚੀਤਾ ॥੩॥
Charan Kamal Vasehi Maerai Cheethaa ||3||
चरण कमल वसहि मेरै चीता ॥३॥
May Your Lotus Feet abide within my consciousness. ||3||

ਮੀਤੁ ਸਾਜਨੁ ਸੁਤ ਬੰਧਪ ਭਾਈ ॥
Meeth Saajan Suth Bandhhap Bhaaee ||
मीतु साजनु सुत बंधप भाई ॥
He is my friend, companion, child, relative and sibling.
ਜਤ ਕਤ ਪੇਖਉ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਹਾਈ ॥੧॥
Jath Kath Paekho Har Sang Sehaaee ||1||
जत कत पेखउ हरि संगि सहाई ॥१॥
Wherever I look, I see the Lord as my companion and helper. ||1||
ਜਤਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਤਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਧਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ॥
Jath Maeree Path Maeree Dhhan Har Naam ||
जति मेरी पति मेरी धनु हरि नामु ॥
The Lord's Name is my social status, my honor and wealth.

पारब्रहमु जपि पहिरि सनाह ॥
I have strapped on the armor of meditation on the Supreme Lord God.
ਕੋਟਿ ਆਵਧ ਤਿਸੁ ਬੇਧਤ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੨॥
Kott Aavadhh This Baedhhath Naahi ||2||
कोटि आवध तिसु बेधत नाहि ॥२॥
It cannot be pierced, even by millions of weapons. ||2||
ਹਰਿ ਚਰਨ ਸਰਣ ਗੜ ਕੋਟ ਹਮਾਰੈ ॥
Har Charan Saran Garr Kott Hamaarai ||
हरि चरन सरण गड़ कोट हमारै ॥
The Sanctuary of the Lord's Feet is my fortress and battlement.
ਕਾਲੁ ਕੰਟਕੁ ਜਮੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਨ ਬਿਦਾਰੈ ॥੩॥
Kaal Kanttak Jam This N Bidhaarai ||3||
कालु कंटकु जमु तिसु न बिदारै ॥३॥
The Messenger of Death, the torturer, cannot demolish it. ||3||
ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਸਦਾ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ॥

नानक दास सदा बलिहारी ॥
Slave Nanak is forever a sacrifice

गुण गोपाल प्रभ के नित गाहा ॥
Where the Glorious Praises of God, the Lord of the world are continually sung,
ਅਨਦ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਮੰਗਲ ਸੁਖ ਤਾਹਾ ॥੧॥
Anadh Binodh Mangal Sukh Thaahaa ||1||
अनद बिनोद मंगल सुख ताहा ॥१॥
There is bliss, joy, happiness and peace. ||1||
ਚਲੁ ਸਖੀਏ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਰਾਵਣ ਜਾਹਾ ॥
Chal Sakheeeae Prabh Raavan Jaahaa ||
चलु सखीए प्रभु रावण जाहा ॥
Come, O my companions - let us go and enjoy God.
ਸਾਧ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ਚਰਣੀ ਪਾਹਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Saadhh Janaa Kee Charanee Paahaa ||1|| Rehaao ||
साध जना की चरणी पाहा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Let us fall at the feet of the holy, humble beings. ||1||Pause||
ਕਰਿ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਜਨ ਧੂਰਿ ਬਾਛਾਹਾ ॥
Kar Baenathee Jan Dhhoor Baashhaahaa ||
करि बेनती जन धूरि बाछाहा ॥
I pray for the dust of the feet of the humble.
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਲਾਹਾਂ ॥੨॥
Janam Janam Kae Kilavikh Laahaan ||2||
जनम जनम के किलविख लाहां ॥२॥
It shall wash away the sins of countless incarnations. ||2||
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਜੀਉ ਅਰਪਾਹਾ ॥
Man Than Praan Jeeo Arapaahaa ||
मनु तनु प्राण जीउ अरपाहा ॥
I dedicate my mind, body, breath of life and soul to God.
ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਮਾਨੁ ਮੋਹੁ ਕਟਾਹਾਂ ॥੩॥
Har Simar Simar Maan Mohu Kattaahaan ||3||
हरि सिमरि सिमरि मानु मोहु कटाहां ॥३॥
Remembering the Lord in meditation, I have eradicated pride and emotional attachment. ||3||
ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਕਰਹੁ ਉਤਸਾਹਾ ॥
Dheen Dhaeiaal Karahu Outhasaahaa ||
दीन दइआल करहु उतसाहा ॥
O Lord, O Merciful to the meek, please give me faith and confidence,
ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਹਰਿ ਸਰਣਿ ਸਮਾਹਾ ॥੪॥੨੦॥੨੬॥
Naanak Dhaas Har Saran Samaahaa ||4||20||26||
नानक दास हरि सरणि समाहा ॥४॥२०॥२६॥
So that slave Nanak may remain absorbed in Your Sanctuary. ||4||20||26||

बैकुंठ नगरु जहा संत वासा ॥
The city of heaven is where the Saints dwell.
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਰਿਦ ਮਾਹਿ ਨਿਵਾਸਾ ॥੧॥
Prabh Charan Kamal Ridh Maahi Nivaasaa ||1||
प्रभ चरण कमल रिद माहि निवासा ॥१॥
They enshrine the Lotus Feet of God within their hearts. ||1||
ਸੁਣਿ ਮਨ ਤਨ ਤੁਝੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਦਿਖਲਾਵਉ ॥
Sun Man Than Thujh Sukh Dhikhalaavo ||
सुणि मन तन तुझु सुखु दिखलावउ ॥
Listen, O my mind and body, and let me show you the way to find peace,
ਹਰਿ ਅਨਿਕ ਬਿੰਜਨ ਤੁਝੁ ਭੋਗ ਭੁੰਚਾਵਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Har Anik Binjan Thujh Bhog Bhunchaavo ||1|| Rehaao ||
हरि अनिक बिंजन तुझु भोग भुंचावउ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
So that you may eat and enjoy the various delicacies of the Lord||1||Pause||
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਭੁੰਚੁ ਮਨ ਮਾਹੀ ॥
Anmrith Naam Bhunch Man Maahee ||
अम्रित नामु भुंचु मन माही ॥
Taste the Ambrosial Nectar of the Naam, the Name of the Lord, within your mind.
ਅਚਰਜ ਸਾਦ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਬਰਨੇ ਨ ਜਾਹੀ ॥੨॥
Acharaj Saadh Thaa Kae Baranae N Jaahee ||2||
अचरज साद ता के बरने न जाही ॥२॥
Its taste is wondrous - it cannot be described. ||2||
ਲੋਭੁ ਮੂਆ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਬੁਝਿ ਥਾਕੀ ॥
Lobh Mooaa Thrisanaa Bujh Thhaakee ||
लोभु मूआ त्रिसना बुझि थाकी ॥
Your greed shall die, and your thirst shall be quenched.
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕੀ ਸਰਣਿ ਜਨ ਤਾਕੀ ॥੩॥
Paarabreham Kee Saran Jan Thaakee ||3||
पारब्रहम की सरणि जन ताकी ॥३॥
The humble beings seek the Sanctuary of the Supreme Lord God. ||3||
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਭੈ ਮੋਹ ਨਿਵਾਰੇ ॥
Janam Janam Kae Bhai Moh Nivaarae ||
जनम जनम के भै मोह निवारे ॥
The Lord dispels the fears and attachments of countless incarnations.
ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੇ ॥੪॥੨੧॥੨੭॥
Naanak Dhaas Prabh Kirapaa Dhhaarae ||4||21||27||
नानक दास प्रभ किरपा धारे ॥४॥२१॥२७॥
God has showered His Mercy and Grace upon slave Nanak. ||4||21||27||

ਅਨਿਕ ਬੀਂਗ ਦਾਸ ਕੇ ਪਰਹਰਿਆ ॥

अनिक बींग दास के परहरिआ ॥
God covers the many shortcomings of His slaves.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਅਪਨਾ ਕਰਿਆ ॥੧॥
Kar Kirapaa Prabh Apanaa Kariaa ||1||
करि किरपा प्रभि अपना करिआ ॥१॥
Granting His Mercy, God makes them His own. ||1||
ਤੁਮਹਿ ਛਡਾਇ ਲੀਓ ਜਨੁ ਅਪਨਾ ॥
Thumehi Shhaddaae Leeou Jan Apanaa ||
तुमहि छडाइ लीओ जनु अपना ॥
You emancipate Your humble servant,
ਉਰਝਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਜਾਲੁ ਜਗੁ ਸੁਪਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Ourajh Pariou Jaal Jag Supanaa ||1|| Rehaao ||
उरझि परिओ जालु जगु सुपना ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
And rescue him from the noose of the world, which is just a dream. ||1||Pause||
ਪਰਬਤ ਦੋਖ ਮਹਾ ਬਿਕਰਾਲਾ ॥
Parabath Dhokh Mehaa Bikaraalaa ||
परबत दोख महा बिकराला ॥
Even huge mountains of sin and corruption
ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਦੂਰਿ ਕੀਏ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥੨॥
Khin Mehi Dhoor Keeeae Dhaeiaalaa ||2||
खिन महि दूरि कीए दइआला ॥२॥
Are removed in an instant by the Merciful Lord. ||2||
ਸੋਗ ਰੋਗ ਬਿਪਤਿ ਅਤਿ ਭਾਰੀ ॥
Sog Rog Bipath Ath Bhaaree ||
सोग रोग बिपति अति भारी ॥
Sorrow, disease and the most terrible calamities
ਦੂਰਿ ਭਈ ਜਪਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੁਰਾਰੀ ॥੩॥
Dhoor Bhee Jap Naam Muraaree ||3||
दूरि भई जपि नामु मुरारी ॥३॥
Are removed by meditating on the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||3||
ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਧਾਰਿ ਲੀਨੋ ਲੜਿ ਲਾਇ ॥
Dhrisatt Dhhaar Leeno Larr Laae ||
द्रिसटि धारि लीनो लड़ि लाइ ॥
Bestowing His Glance of Grace, He attaches us to the hem of His robe.
