One who kills this is wealthy and prosperous.

जो इसु मारे सो पतिवंता ॥
One who kills this is honorable.
ਜੋ ਇਸੁ ਮਾਰੇ ਸੋਈ ਜਤੀ ॥

जो इसु मारे सोई जती ॥
One who kills this is truly a celibate.
ਜੋ ਇਸੁ ਮਾਰੇ ਤਿਸੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਗਤੀ ॥੩॥

जो इसु मारे सो वडभागा ॥
One who kills this is very fortunate.

जो इसु मारे सोई सुगिआनी ॥
One who kills this is spiritually wise.

One who kills this meditates intuitively. ||5||

इसु मारी बिनु थाइ न परै ॥
Without killing this, one is not acceptable,
ਕੋਟਿ ਕਰਮ ਜਾਪ ਤਪ ਕਰੈ ॥
Kott Karam Jaap Thap Karai ||
कोटि करम जाप तप करै ॥
Even though one may perform millions of rituals, chants and austerities.
ਇਸੁ ਮਾਰੀ ਬਿਨੁ ਜਨਮੁ ਨ ਮਿਟੈ ॥
Eis Maaree Bin Janam N Mittai ||
इसु मारी बिनु जनमु न मिटै ॥
Without killing this, one does not escape the cycle of reincarnation.
ਇਸੁ ਮਾਰੀ ਬਿਨੁ ਜਮ ਤੇ ਨਹੀ ਛੁਟੈ ॥੬॥

इसु मारी बिनु गिआनु न होई ॥
Without killing this, one does not obtain spiritual wisdom.
ਇਸੁ ਮਾਰੀ ਬਿਨੁ ਜੂਠਿ ਨ ਧੋਈ ॥

इसु मारी बिनु जूठि न धोई ॥
Without killing this, one's impurity is not washed off.

इसु मारी बिनु सभु किछु मैला ॥
Without killing this, everything is filthy.

इसु मारी बिनु सभु किछु जउला ॥७॥
Without killing this, everything is a losing game. ||7||

तिस कै संगि खिन महि उधरहि ॥२॥

ਮਨ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਮਹਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਚੇਤ ॥
Man Apunae Mehi Fir Fir Chaeth ||
मन अपुने महि फिरि फिरि चेत ॥
Within your mind, over and over again, think of Him,
ਬਿਨਸਿ ਜਾਹਿ ਮਾਇਆ ਕੇ ਹੇਤ ॥
Binas Jaahi Maaeiaa Kae Haeth ||
बिनसि जाहि माइआ के हेत ॥
And your love of Maya shall depart.
ਹਰਿ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਤੁਮਰੈ ਸੰਗਿ ॥
Har Abinaasee Thumarai Sang ||
हरि अबिनासी तुमरै संगि ॥
The Imperishable Lord is always with you.
ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਰਚੁ ਰਾਮ ਕੈ ਰੰਗਿ ॥੪॥

मन मेरे रचु राम कै रंगि ॥४॥
O my mind, immerse yourself in the Love of the Lord. ||4||
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਕਾਮਿ ਉਤਰੈ ਸਭ ਭੂਖ ॥
Jaa Kai Kaam Outharai Sabh Bhookh ||
जा कै कामि उतरै सभ भूख ॥
Working for Him, all hunger departs.
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਕਾਮਿ ਨ ਜੋਹਹਿ ਦੂਤ ॥
Jaa Kai Kaam N Johehi Dhooth ||
जा कै कामि न जोहहि दूत ॥
Working for Him, the Messenger of Death will not be watching you.
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਕਾਮਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਵਡ ਗਮਰੁ ॥
Jaa Kai Kaam Thaeraa Vadd Gamar ||
जा कै कामि तेरा वड गमरु ॥
Working for Him, you shall obtain glorious greatness.
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਕਾਮਿ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਤੂੰ ਅਮਰੁ ॥੫॥

जा कै कामि होवहि तूं अमरु ॥५॥
Working for Him, you shall become immortal. ||5||
ਜਾ ਕੇ ਚਾਕਰ ਕਉ ਨਹੀ ਡਾਨ ॥
Jaa Kae Chaakar Ko Nehee Ddaan ||
जा के चाकर कउ नही डान ॥
His servant does not suffer punishment.
ਜਾ ਕੇ ਚਾਕਰ ਕਉ ਨਹੀ ਬਾਨ ॥
Jaa Kae Chaakar Ko Nehee Baan ||
जा के चाकर कउ नही बान ॥
His servant suffers no loss.
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਦਫਤਰਿ ਪੁਛੈ ਨ ਲੇਖਾ ॥
Jaa Kai Dhafathar Pushhai N Laekhaa ||
जा कै दफतरि पुछै न लेखा ॥
In His Court, His servant does not have to answer for his account.
ਤਾ ਕੀ ਚਾਕਰੀ ਕਰਹੁ ਬਿਸੇਖਾ ॥੬॥
Thaa Kee Chaakaree Karahu Bisaekhaa ||6||
ता की चाकरी करहु बिसेखा ॥६॥
So serve Him with distinction. ||6||
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਊਨ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਾਹੂ ਬਾਤ ॥
Jaa Kai Oon Naahee Kaahoo Baath ||
जा कै ऊन नाही काहू बात ॥
He is not lacking in anything.
ਏਕਹਿ ਆਪਿ ਅਨੇਕਹਿ ਭਾਤਿ ॥
Eaekehi Aap Anaekehi Bhaath ||
एकहि आपि अनेकहि भाति ॥
He Himself is One, although He appears in so many forms.
ਜਾ ਕੀ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਹੋਇ ਸਦਾ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥
Jaa Kee Dhrisatt Hoe Sadhaa Nihaal ||
जा की द्रिसटि होइ सदा निहाल ॥
By His Glance of Grace, you shall be happy forever.

Naa Ko Chathur Naahee Ko Moorraa ||
ना को चतुरु नाही को मूड़ा ॥
No one is clever, and no one is foolish.
ਨਾ ਕੋ ਹੀਣੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਕੋ ਸੂਰਾ ॥
Naa Ko Heen Naahee Ko Sooraa ||
ना को हीणु नाही को सूरा ॥
No one is weak, and no one is a hero.
